Corey (DM):

Greetings, everyone. It is I, Malnag. I will be your host on this episode six of Quest Happens. Corey the DM could not make it because he.

Well, we'll say he fell asleep into a deep dream.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, God.

Corey (DM):

Hey.

Corey (DM):

What are you doing in here? Oh, crap, he's back. Oh, gosh. She took my job again. Get out here, Melanie. Hey, what's up, everyone? Welcome to another episode of Quest Happens.

So good to be here with everybody again.

Lauren (EZ):

That was easy. Is that all we have to do to get rid of her?

Corey (DM):

Well, I. I know the magic words to get rid of.

Nick (E'Louie):

Walked in the room.

Nathan (Stump):

Who was that?

Corey (DM):

Oh, some.

Nathan (Stump):

I've never seen that woman.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, she came into the studio. I think she just came off the street. I don't know.

Nathan (Stump):

All right.

Nick (E'Louie):

She looks so sweet.

Nathan (Stump):

She seemed fine. Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Her name was what, Metal hag or something like that new band name called it. No, but thank you all so much for listening to our episodes. Thank you to everyone who has been downloading and liking and all that wonderful stuff.

And if you are liking what you hear, you know, we do love a good review from time to time. You know, we can only take so much of, you know, Nathan calling us to tell us how well of a job we're doing. We kind of want to hear from you all.

Nathan (Stump):

Tell your friends.

Corey (DM):

Yes, tell your friends. That's how we get heard when you tell your friends and your friends tell their friends.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. So spread the word. Spread the love. And we will spread the love back. Let's keep it infectious. Let's keep this going.

All right, so last week, we had a side quest, which I'm loving the idea of doing these side quests, but we forgot to. Or I forgot to bring up the fact that everyone actually leveled up after episode five.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, it's true.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

So I want to give you all time to kind of let the listeners know what new things you have acquired with your character now that you are now level four party. So, Nick, why don't we start with you?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, absolutely. I'm gonna go back just one more. I was excited to do the Monk for a couple of reasons. One is that they are.

It's said that they're a little more complicated, but I think they're quite a lot of fun. Eloui was designed to be a drunk guy.

Nathan (Stump):

A drunk guy, right?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah. But not just a drunk guy. He's choosing as a subclass the way of the Drunken Master.

So he carries a keg on his back, and the lid of the keg is a war Gong.

Nathan (Stump):

He is the most functioning alcoholic there's ever.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, yeah. Cause he's had some time. You know, he's like 700 plus years old. And, you know, he's been through a lot.

So that was the subclass that really just allows me to move around like I'm a drunk monk.

Nathan (Stump):

We've all seen the Jackie Chan movie, right? Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Oh, yeah. There you go.

Nathan (Stump):

I would hope so.

Nick (E'Louie):

Drunken Monkin, the one Jackie Chan movie.

Nathan (Stump):

The only one.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah. So there's that. For level four, you get to choose a feat. And so the feat that I chose, there are several different things you can do.

I considered grappler, but I went with the ability score raise. So much of my build on this monk is based on elui's dexterity and wisdom, and I put it all into dexterity.

That's gonna give me some big pluses on those unarmed strikes. And I'm excited to see what happens.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. Especially as with Drunken Master, if you're dumping everything in dexterity. And so one gets.

One thing I appreciate about Nick as a player is he is the technical player out of our group who really actually studies and knows his character very well. And thank you. It's nice to have a nerdy person on the table.

Nick (E'Louie):

Are you calling me nerdy?

Corey (DM):

Yes.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, that's a compliment.

Corey (DM):

You are nerdy.

Nathan (Stump):

There's a reason I play a barbarian. Because I can't remember things.

Corey (DM):

That is also why I love barbarians as well. Because you just like. I just hit things.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah. I swing at a weapon.

Corey (DM):

Even though there is other stuff.

Nick (E'Louie):

I get a mad and I swing at a weapon.

Corey (DM):

So, Nathan, why don't you share with us, with our listeners what stump now has?

Nathan (Stump):

Stump is now a quarter of an inch taller.

Nick (E'Louie):

Cool.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah. And he gets at every level and he can now grapple. And that's pretty much it. Path of the Berserker is my subclass.

Corey (DM):

Nice.

Nathan (Stump):

This is a thing I know and have always known.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, you have, actually.

Nathan (Stump):

And no one had to remind me. Yeah, he grapples now. So I get advantage on grapple attacks and I can pin a creature and it's gonna be great.

Nick (E'Louie):

And so that's the feet.

Corey (DM):

Was the grapple feet.

Nathan (Stump):

Yes.

Nick (E'Louie):

And that gives you advantage.

Nathan (Stump):

I grapple with my feet.

Corey (DM):

Yes, you better do very well.

Nick (E'Louie):

And then in D and D, when you're playing, when you grapple. Dungeon Master or Dungeon Master. Isn't it just. He'll. He will roll a strength check. Likely strength for a barbarian. Yeah.

I would think against the NPCs. Yep.

Corey (DM):

Against the person trying to grapple. And then if you're higher.

Nathan (Stump):

It depends on the grapple. Maybe it'll be like a sleight of hand. If it's a, you know, a little discreet grapple.

Nick (E'Louie):

Grapple. It's a discreet grappling. Yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

Like a pinch. That's like a tiny grapple.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

I'm interested to see how you describe Stump when he actually does grapple, because I think that's going to be very funny and interesting.

So Stump is now stronger in the fact that he can just bear hug everybody and hold them and pin them down if he wants to, which it also works great if you don't want to be violent, because you could just grab one grapple and pin him down.

Nick (E'Louie):

Just bear. Yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

I can also use clubs now.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

Weapon mastery club.

Nick (E'Louie):

Nice.

Lauren (EZ):

Up in the club.

Corey (DM):

Smash.

Nathan (Stump):

I don't have one, but I could.

Corey (DM):

You can find one someday.

Nathan (Stump):

Someday.

Corey (DM):

All right, that brings us to Lauren, AKA Easy, AKA Esmeralda Fitzmaster.

Lauren (EZ):

That's me.

Corey (DM):

All right. What? Tell us about your character.

Lauren (EZ):

So I also have not shared this, but my subclass as of today is Battle Master. So I get to do a couple. I get to be a student of war is what it says. So that's intense. And then I have.

I get to have some superiority dice that I get to, like, spend and add to. I don't know, add to roles for if. If I don't hit or if somebody damages me, I get to, like, use some fancy things to.

Corey (DM):

Those are, like, parry and repost day and those things.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, wow. Did you actually look at.

Corey (DM):

Well, I know that subc.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, so, yeah, I did Perry. Repost it and prec. Precision. Precision, yes.

Nick (E'Louie):

You call them superior superiority dice. I mean, are there any better dice out there than superiority? That's true.

Lauren (EZ):

I don't think so.

Corey (DM):

They make these tiny. They make these tiny ones that are probably insuperior.

Lauren (EZ):

Why do you have to say that? And then I also get a weapon mastery with my fourth level, and I have gained a flail, so I get to use that.

Corey (DM):

Which we. If you all listen to the last episode that did make an appearance.

Lauren (EZ):

It did.

Corey (DM):

When Nick playing easy. Got to use it to.

Nick (E'Louie):

That's right.

Corey (DM):

To windmill the air.

Lauren (EZ):

I said, like, I have to use this before I get to use it.

Nathan (Stump):

That's right.

Nick (E'Louie):

And he and Nick was flailing it.

Lauren (EZ):

You're just flowing it all over the.

Nick (E'Louie):

Place, swinging that thing.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah. And. And then one other thing is I get to be a great weapon master, so I'm a battle master. But also a great weapon master.

I'm just gaining all of the mastery.

Corey (DM):

Levels of seem pretty defensive and attack heavy now. So.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Which is great to have.

Nathan (Stump):

Truly a student of war.

Lauren (EZ):

I truly.

Nick (E'Louie):

There it is.

Lauren (EZ):

There it is. And I chose intimidation as my first, like, proficiency with being a student of war. So, yeah, so we'll see.

Nathan (Stump):

It's hard to imagine easy being super intimidating.

Nick (E'Louie):

Listen to me. Just listen.

Lauren (EZ):

If I roll enough, it's just. That's going to be the fart of fear.

Nick (E'Louie):

I don't.

Lauren (EZ):

I don't know.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, maybe they're like, hands are tied up. You're just almost teabagging, ripping in their face. Maybe that's intimidating. I would stuff if someone was doing.

Lauren (EZ):

That to me, giving me ideas.

Nick (E'Louie):

Some stuff.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, well, it's.

I really just wanted to make sure as we level up, we let our listeners know what new things you get, you know, so we, as we're going along, you don't, you know, throw things at like, oh, when did that come into play? It's like we want to make sure. It was my fault last episode is I forgot to talk about it.

So I just want to make sure as we level up and gain new things that we talk about it so everyone kind of knows what's going on. And yeah, I'm excited to see how you all lose. Use your new level four, you know, going forward with your new abilities.

And also, before we begin, I just want to give a quick shout out to our friend over on YouTube. Dude.

Nick (E'Louie):

Whoa.

Corey (DM):

14, Thank you so much for being a awesome listener. If you notice, last episode, we did use his name in the episode, and that is something. If you reach out to us, we may use you.

Give us some name suggestions. We might use those in an episode.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, thanks.

Nathan (Stump):

Thank you, dude.

Corey (DM):

Well, 14, you're dude.

Nathan (Stump):

Well, 14 forever now.

Lauren (EZ):

Yep.

Corey (DM):

I think we're all getting that tattooed, right?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yes. On foreheads.

Corey (DM):

Maybe not for it.

Nathan (Stump):

While we're talking about, like, updates and stuff, I want to say on Mike Nick, I need you to mark that you are down five daggers.

Nick (E'Louie):

No, you threw my daggers away.

Corey (DM):

No, he didn't throw them all. Like, he gave half of them.

Nathan (Stump):

I did. Here's to a lucky to Dude War 14 imaginary bartender. That was Dude 14.

Nick (E'Louie):

I'm going to need his address. I'm going to go knock on his.

Corey (DM):

Door and get your daggers back.

Nick (E'Louie):

I need my daggers back. No, I'm just kidding.

Lauren (EZ):

He's being hasty.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay. I'm marking my daggers down as we speak.

Corey (DM):

All right, so let's pick up where we left off.

Nick (E'Louie):

I don't have any more daggers.

Nathan (Stump):

Wait, was that all of them?

Nick (E'Louie):

I got darts. Don't worry.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay?

Nick (E'Louie):

I got darts and I got both.

Nathan (Stump):

I mean, I'll buy you a Jagger. I feel bad.

Corey (DM):

Daggers are easy to come upon, so we'll find those.

Nathan (Stump):

I thought you had way more.

Corey (DM):

All right, so let's get. Let's pick up where we left off last episode. So you all were able to overcome Malnag's curse.

You regained your bodies before you were lost forever in each other's bodies.

Lauren (EZ):

It was fun.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, it was quite interesting to hear all the voices coming out of you all.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, interesting.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, but it was a lot of fun. So sorry, listeners, if it was a little confusing, but hopefully you followed along and it was funny and you had a good time.

Nathan (Stump):

If it's any consolation, we were also confused. Yes, but I'm pretty sure that was obvious.

Corey (DM):

But we are back now on the. The canon episodes. I mean, that was technically canon as well, but it's just more of a side thing. But we're back on now, episode six.

And yeah, so where we left off, you, like I said, you survived Malnag's curse. You woke up kind of like, oh, we're back to normal. And then you heard a caravan of joyous cheer and, you know, bright clothing and bright caravans.

They were making their way on those wooden bridges and they invited you all, like, hey, the Kano party is happening. They're heading over to basically where you all are going over in Pete Falls Crossing. They're inviting you, saying, like, let's go, come on.

They're having a good time. And like, maybe it sounds like this doesn't happen often. It's kind of a big deal.

But as you all know, your quest that you took from the DMV was to head to Peat Falls Crossing to look at the. And the quest you took is a tier one called Confetti Cleanup in the verdant sprawl, which is Pe Fall Crossing in the verdant sprawl.

Your reward is two vouchers each, plus some reputation, plus one free week of gravity added to your rings.

Lauren (EZ):

Hot dang.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Multi colored ash has exceeded acceptable festivity thresholds. Payment issue upon visual confirmation of mostly gone or all the way gone. And there was a warning. Do not upset the locals. They are sensitive.

Oh, and then it says in. In like, bold letters again. Once again, this is not a celebration. Get it cleaned up. So with that being said, you were invited to this party.

You all have just had this Traumatic experience.

Lauren (EZ):

I thought it wasn't a celebration.

Corey (DM):

Well, to these people it is.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

Your quest said it's not, but these people are like, let's go.

Nick (E'Louie):

So we really need to show them the quest.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, we need to show them. Hey, guys.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah, it's just like the mowing, dad. It's like we're just like. Like, gosh, we're just like the party poopers, right?

Nick (E'Louie):

We're changing our names that way, actually.

Lauren (EZ):

To the party.

Nick (E'Louie):

From the anomalies to that.

Corey (DM):

No.

Nick (E'Louie):

Who knows yet? Not yet.

Nathan (Stump):

Maybe we'll, you know, raise the roof and all that.

Corey (DM):

That's true. So it is totally up to you all what you would like to do, but those are kind of your options. You just had this traumatic experience.

You're back in the verdant sprawl.

Nathan (Stump):

Do. Are they just walking?

Corey (DM):

No, there's, like, cavalcade. There's people walking, for sure.

There's also, like, carriages or, like, more like wagons being pulled by, like, horseback with people sitting in them. And there's, like, bright colored tents that cover the cabins or the. I say cabins. The carriages. Yeah.

So there's lots of different ways of transportation that they're taking, but there's, like, a good 30, 40 people with this caravan.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump says, oh, maybe we should hitch a ride with these guys.

Nick (E'Louie):

Sure, why not?

Nathan (Stump):

These guys, Stump, think they going to volcano place?

Lauren (EZ):

I think so. What. What are. What do they look like?

Corey (DM):

There's a good mix. There's, like, humans. There's some dragonborn, you see some elves. Like, Sindeo is very much species heavy, like, very diverse.

Lauren (EZ):

I just was wondering what their fashion choices.

Corey (DM):

If they were, like, very brightly colored, bohemian.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Lauren (EZ):

They're wearing, like, flowers in their hair and. Oh, and are they wearing, like, cowboy boots with their.

Corey (DM):

They're not doing that. No. Cowboy boots and sundresses.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, okay. That's what I was wondering.

Nick (E'Louie):

So less hippie, more boho. Okay, this is hilarious.

I'm thinking about this task that we have, and a volcano has erupted, and they've sent three of us to be like, go clean it up.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, they did say mostly gone is okay.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, yeah.

Corey (DM):

They weren't very clear on the specifics of how you have to clean it up. They just said, go there, assess, get it cleaned up.

Nathan (Stump):

And what if the volcano is, like, tiny? We have no idea.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah, yeah.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, we're jumping on the wagon.

Lauren (EZ):

Is there, like, what if. Okay, if we get it cleaned up? It said. They said it's not a celebration, but what if this turns into, like, A rager.

And we have a little bit of fun, but we still clean up. I don't know. Just something to think about.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, we can have so many possibilities. Stump starts waving at one of the caravans and says, hey, stop over here.

Corey (DM):

And hello. You see a little halfling, like, pop his head out of the back of the wagon out of, like the little. Little, you know, covering that's over it.

He hears you and looks at you. He's like, oh, hello, friends.

Nathan (Stump):

Hi.

Corey (DM):

Hello. Are you coming with?

Nathan (Stump):

Of course.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, we're coming. If there's there room for us.

Corey (DM):

There's always room if you're heading to the Kano party.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, let's go. Yeah. Great. Here we go.

Corey (DM):

He, like, starts dancing a little bit in there. And he looks to the people in the back. He's like, mick, room. We got three more coming.

Nathan (Stump):

All right, let's hop on. And stuff pops on.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah. So does Louis.

Lauren (EZ):

I'm gonna look so out of place. I'm like, clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk. That's like it. Like they're all like.

Corey (DM):

And as you all hop in, they look at you like, well, that's a fashion choice.

Nick (E'Louie):

It is. That was a choice.

Lauren (EZ):

Thank you.

Corey (DM):

You definitely made it.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yes. Where are you all from?

Corey (DM):

Are you. Is this your first time going to a Kano party?

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, where's dump from?

Nick (E'Louie):

It is the first time. Oh, you're gonna love it. It's great.

Lauren (EZ):

All right, well, let's.

Nick (E'Louie):

What, what. What types of things could we expect there? Oh, it's just there's a lot of.

Corey (DM):

Confetti all over the place and. Well, we haven't had one this big in a while. But rumor has it, the bigger the confetti, the bigger the blow, the.

The more fun that happens occurs there.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, it sounds like a good time. Why do we have to wait till we get there? Why don't we start now?

Corey (DM):

And you look and. Yeah, you see people are already throwing things back and.

Nick (E'Louie):

Awesome. So Eli reaches around and opens up his cask and.

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Nick (E'Louie):

Pours a mug and says, cheers, everyone. Would anyone else like one?

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, Stump have a headache for some reason.

Nick (E'Louie):

Stop.

Nathan (Stump):

Feel like he may be drank too much already. But that don't make sense to Stump.

Nick (E'Louie):

We had a little hair on the dog. Wouldn't hurt yet.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, my God.

Corey (DM):

Y' all have a dog?

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, it's just a saying.

Corey (DM):

Oh, okay.

Lauren (EZ):

The hair of the dog and then you. I ask for you to offer or to, I don't know, enjoy what you have.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, I'll enjoy it. Thank you.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. And in the back of this. This wagon that's following, it's probably about in the middle of the caravan. You don't.

People don't even really care that you were hopping in and going. They just think, oh, we're picking up more along the way. You know, everyone just. There's tambourines going. There's flutes up front.

Lauren (EZ):

Glow sticks.

Corey (DM):

Sure. There's Glow6. Now there's someone in the corner, like, waving his hands in circles and making these weird and beat patterns at the same time.

Nick (E'Louie):

He's just feeling it.

Corey (DM):

And the people in the immediate cabin or in the wagon with you all, there's at least three or four others that are sitting there, and they're. They saying same thing. They have flasks or, you know, their own wooden mugs that they've made. And they're all drinking.

They're just, like, looking at you all and just, like, smiling and.

Nick (E'Louie):

And.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. And just. This caravan is heading along its way. Oh, hello. Well, my name is Ulisses. Very nice to meet you all.

Nick (E'Louie):

Ulysses. Yeah. Ulysses, stop.

Nathan (Stump):

Like, you guys, everybody nice. Why can't everybody be like you guys?

Corey (DM):

Well, that's what we try to tell people.

Nick (E'Louie):

We just.

Corey (DM):

We're just here to have fun, and we just kind of make our own rules. We travel all over Sandeo following the Kano parties.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, this is great. Hey, you should help us.

Corey (DM):

Help you what?

Nathan (Stump):

We've got to get rid of all this stupid confetti.

Corey (DM):

Everyone in the meatless, like,.

Lauren (EZ):

Gosh, you.

Nick (E'Louie):

Really know how to just lay it.

Lauren (EZ):

Out there stuff right at the beginning.

Nathan (Stump):

Easy. Did you fart?

Corey (DM):

Everybody is looking at us, and you hear voices. They, like, murmuring, like, did you hear what he said? And Ulysses, like, excuse me, but did you just say what I think you just said?

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, confetti, not stupid. Stomp. Go too far. But you help us get rid of the confetti. Yes.

Corey (DM):

Stop the cart immediately.

Like, the cart comes to a halt, and all five of these in the back here with you, they begin to just grab you and begin to, like, throw you out of the wagon.

Nick (E'Louie):

Ow. I think.

Corey (DM):

And we better not see you when we get there.

Nick (E'Louie):

No.

Nathan (Stump):

These guys were so nice. What happened? What did you do?

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, well, I think we need to approach this in a different kind of way.

Corey (DM):

And then you see him also poke his head out. He's like, don't help these travelers. They want to get rid of the confetti. And everyone kind of behind as they.

Nick (E'Louie):

Pass you, just like, eloise, duck bitten on you.

Lauren (EZ):

We have not really. We've made a lot of enemies already.

Corey (DM):

Well, there goes your ride. Oh, my goodness.

Nathan (Stump):

Well.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, what happened to our horses? Horse and a bicycle or something.

Lauren (EZ):

Where's the.

Nick (E'Louie):

Where this went?

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, where's. What's. My horses.

Corey (DM):

They're still tied up where you left them. Y' all decided to hop on there?

Nick (E'Louie):

We're like a quarter mile out.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, no.

Corey (DM):

We're like. You did not make it very far.

Nick (E'Louie):

Feet away from the town.

Corey (DM):

You can definitely head back.

Nick (E'Louie):

Thrown out of there.

Nathan (Stump):

They're gonna do the dog thing where they wait for us every day.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah. Oh, no. Oh, it was. It was Samuel. That's my horse's. His name. Samuel. I'm coming back.

Corey (DM):

Was it Samuel somewhere?

Nathan (Stump):

Samuel Winnies.

Nick (E'Louie):

He's like. And they're thinking, you mother truckers. We're gonna leave us here.

Corey (DM):

There's the. Tied up where you left. Okay. Little Sebastian.

Nick (E'Louie):

No.

Corey (DM):

Can't believe you almost left them.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, so Stump says, well, okay, I'm sorry. Stump does not say. Eloie says, well, okay.

I think maybe we ought to get together and come up with a different type of story if this is something we want to do.

Nathan (Stump):

What do you mean? There are only one story. The truth.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, this is true. But I think that if we can weave them together, maybe we can find a way they can help us. Here's an idea.

Lauren (EZ):

What is it?

Nick (E'Louie):

What if we tell them that we're the new traveling party crew and our job is to collect all of the confetti? For what reason? To take it to the next party so it'll be twice as big.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, this technically could be true.

Nick (E'Louie):

We can do it. And I think what we'll do is we'll go have a good time with these folks and we can beatbox. Yes. Wow. Easy. Is that you?

Is that a noise coming out of your mouth?

Lauren (EZ):

I'm very talented in many ways.

Nick (E'Louie):

Fascinating.

Nathan (Stump):

Well, Stump think you're pretty smart. So this sounds like good plan to start.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay. All right. Well, yeah, just.

Corey (DM):

So that's basically the story you're gonna tell them, like when you get to the place.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Lauren (EZ):

We're gonna have a good time first.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yes, yes, absolutely.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah.

Nick (E'Louie):

And to be clear, Stomp, don't. Don't tell them that we're going to make them pick up the confetti.

Nathan (Stump):

But you say that what we do.

Nick (E'Louie):

For the next party.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, yes.

Nick (E'Louie):

Even bigger party.

Corey (DM):

Yes.

Lauren (EZ):

And so I slap Samuel on the butt, and then I get going.

Corey (DM):

All right. Okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

Let's go, Sebastian.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. So you find your rides, you get back on them and you begin to make your way to Pete Fall Crossing.

Remember the same thing on your quests, Your quest spheres, you can actually like look into it and it kind of like leads you kind of where you need to go. It's kind of like your own little GPS system and it is definitely in the direction that the caravan is heading.

So I'm assuming you're gonna kind of keep a distance from them or.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, from the folks who saw us. Come to think of it, man, do we need a different disguise? Well, actually there's a lot of weird people here, so we just need to go.

We need to go out and around. When we get there, we go the other way.

Nathan (Stump):

Maybe does the thing where he like puts his fingers like around his eyes. Like their glasses.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes. What you think that's really good?

Nathan (Stump):

You never know.

Lauren (EZ):

Really good.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, well, perfect guys.

Lauren (EZ):

Also, maybe we can hope. I have a feeling that, you know, how long is the travel again from here to.

Corey (DM):

You're very close. Literally we're barely going down the road. So you'll make it there by nightfall.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, cool. Cuz what I'm doing suspecting is hopefully they'll just get too turned.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Lauren (EZ):

They won't remember or maybe they'll just be like either too drunk or maybe other. Other substances and then they'll just be like, hey, you're just gonna.

Nick (E'Louie):

We're just gonna tie them up. You're gonna fart in their face and intimidate them.

Nathan (Stump):

No. And you guys.

Nick (E'Louie):

No, no. Or we can just tell them, hey, our friend was, you know.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, he was mistaken. He's dumb or whatever.

Nick (E'Louie):

And he was right about picking it up.

Corey (DM):

But out of order to too.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Lauren (EZ):

I hope that they're like tripping to where they.

Nick (E'Louie):

And I gotta. I got a keg of, you know, mixture on my back that we can help that out.

Lauren (EZ):

Mixture.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah. So elui, on the travels, he finds whatever he can, whatever alcohol. And there's already like.

It's like yeast is growing on the side of the barrel of the cab.

Nathan (Stump):

It's pretty much everything in there. Everclear and Hawaiian Punch.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, you guys, there's an imminent threat alert. Imminent threat. Tornado warning.

Corey (DM):

Do we really have a tornado warning? Oh my gosh, we're in the middle of a tornado warning.

Lauren (EZ):

You know, keep this in the episode.

Nick (E'Louie):

If we're going to stop. Come on, baby.

Corey (DM):

Oh, we're not stopping.

Nick (E'Louie):

No, we got a party to go to.

Lauren (EZ):

I really like what's going on part of the episode.

Corey (DM):

You know what warning. And this tornado is right.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah. But, like, shouldn't we at least check the weather?

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, we probably should.

Corey (DM):

I'll pause this real quick. All right, everyone, sorry for the quick delay there. We. There was a tornado that just went through our town, and so we decided to take cover in this.

When I mean take cover. We pulled up our laptops to watch it and sit outside and watch the weather. Yeah.

But, you know, we seriously had a tornado come within a couple miles of where we are and in the middle of our recording. So now we're gonna get back to it because that's our commitment to this podcast, which was fantasy over.

Nick (E'Louie):

What did you say, Nathan?

Nathan (Stump):

Life threatening situation.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, we'd prefer to do this.

Nathan (Stump):

We're switching right back into role play.

Corey (DM):

Oh, yeah. As crazy as it sounds, let's pick up where we left off. Yeah, we got a volcano to get to.

Nick (E'Louie):

Confetti.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so we decided, you all. You got your rides. Yeah, you're making your way to. No, you're making way down. You're making your way to people crossing.

So what we're gonna do through the. Through the magic of editing and the magic of storytelling, time goes by quick as you're traveling. Nothing really happens along the way.

Nick (E'Louie):

You.

Corey (DM):

You stay your distance from the other caravan that kicked you out, and, you know, you kind of maybe take the long way around. And eventually you get to the area of your orb that's telling you, like, you are very close to Pe Falls Crossing. Eventually you get to this.

This road that leads and is cresting a hill.

And you see as you get to the top of this hill, you see kind of just down the valley there just a bit, little, little bit, you see a town and you see the post that say, like, peat fall crossing this way. So, you know you have made it. And the reason you know you've made it is this town is completely covered in confetti.

Nick (E'Louie):

How are we gonna do this?

Lauren (EZ):

Completely covered? Like, you can't see ground.

Nick (E'Louie):

When I say completely, it's just a mountain of confetti.

Corey (DM):

When I say completely, I mean, you see, there's confetti everywhere. It is not, like, higher than the buildings. It's. It's a quaint village.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

You know, I would say it's not small to be a tiny village. It's not a city by any means. It's just like a moderate sized medieval town here in the verdant grove. And it's.

Yeah, there's nothing like no huge buildings. There's a couple bigger buildings that look like they might be like the Tavern Hotel. You know things like that.

But, yeah, there's no walls, no borders on this town. But as you kind of make your way down a little bit. Yeah.

You just see that there's confetti just scattered through all the streets on some of the rooftops. And you see some still kind of like you hear poofs and then some slights floating back down again.

But you do see there are caravans of people making their way.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, there's like. There's poofs instead of, like, explosions.

Corey (DM):

Well, you're just hearing some little poofs. Could be after math.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, okay. I'm like, that's real cute.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump gets off Petunia. He says, well, let's get started. 1, 2, 3.

Lauren (EZ):

We're going to count them all.

Nathan (Stump):

4.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, my goodness.

Nathan (Stump):

5.

Nick (E'Louie):

What are we going to do here, do you think?

Lauren (EZ):

I'm just trying to know what it means when they said the people are sensitive. Do they like the confetti? Because I feel like people would hate confetti here. Or maybe it's like snow in Colorado. People either love it or hate it.

I don't know. So I'm just like, how do we deal with this? So just, I don't know.

Nick (E'Louie):

Let's think it out loud. So how many. How big is this town, Corey?

Corey (DM):

I mean, there might be 500 people.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay. So pretty small. Okay. And so the caravan. Are they going to the town or are they going toward the volcano and around the volcano?

Well, are we supposed to pick up the confetti in the town?

Corey (DM):

Yeah, you're supposed to go to People Crossing, which is the town.

Nick (E'Louie):

The town, and clean it up.

Corey (DM):

The volcano. We are right on the edge of town.

Nick (E'Louie):

We don't have to clean up all of it. We just have to clean up town.

Corey (DM):

Okay. What you notice, most of it is centralized to the town.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay. So most of it's there. Okay. So I.

So Eloie would like to go and go into town and find somebody and ask them how they feel about the confetti, like a local resident.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so you want to find just like a village member or something?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, I'll walk up in town, see if I can find someone. I try to like to get a temperature on if these townspeople are like, oh, yay.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. As you are kind of making your way into town. Well, first of all, why don't you all roll perception checks for me?

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

Let's look around.

Lauren (EZ):

I am using. I did not bring my dice to the podcast, so I'm using borrowed dice. So we'll see how this goes so first roll of this random dice set, 10 plus 1.

Nick (E'Louie):

I rocked it out with another.

Nathan (Stump):

Not bad, not good. I mean, should I Stump is like, you guys look over and he's like 51.

Corey (DM):

Okay. Yeah, we can say you're distracted.

Nathan (Stump):

53, 54.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, I have a whopping 11.

Corey (DM):

11. Okay. And what would you say easy was?

Lauren (EZ):

I rolled an 11.

Corey (DM):

Both you 11. Okay. I will say what you see. So you see, like I said, most people going in. You see a few people on the outskirts of town walking around.

You do see the sky is both because it is night time that you guys finally arrived. So the sun is kind of set. There are a bunch of stars in the sky. Some of it's kind of cloudy.

But you do see the auroras kind of making their way through the clouds. But they're not blood red this time, but they're just like the normal auroras making their way through, through the sky.

And that's so that's really all you can tell then from, from those rules. But yeah, as you kind of make your way into town a little bit, you know, you pass a few.

These people or the first people that you see are another group that have come from out of town. You kind of ask them their thoughts on the, the volcano and they're like, you know, just like, yeah, we, we follow these things everywhere.

Like anytime, like they don't explode as much or as they explode a lot, but they don't, they haven't exploded this much in a long time. So anytime it happens, like we gotta make sure we're there, man. Yeah, it's. You gotta, you just gotta experience this. And so they're super excited.

You pass a couple talents people who, a couple humans, they just kind of, you see them just nose up at all the people coming into town. They're like, oh, this is why I hate this. We don't need all these people here now.

We're just, it's going to turn into some festival and a bunch of these hippies hanging around and tourists.

Lauren (EZ):

Basically some mixed reviews.

Corey (DM):

Mixed reviews, yeah. And then you do notice this. Some of the catches your eye. You do see this old man, great long gray hair, pretty unkempt.

You see he's got like animal tails like pinned to his cloak and he's walking with the cane a little bit, kind of walking with purpose. You see him like waving his hand at people.

He's kind of frustrated and you see him kind of stare up in the sky a little bit and then he kind of like cups his ear and then kind of starts walking again. He sees you all. He's like, oh, let me guess. You guys are just here for the. For the festival as well.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, we can actually be friends with somebody. He won't be mad at us for doing our job.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, hello there, sir. Actually, you know, and Elu kind of looks around and says, we're actually here to help clean this place up if we need to.

Corey (DM):

Oh, you're gonna clean it up, are you? Oh, we need to get rid of it. Yeah. This is all bad. This is a bad omen. Bad omen. Oh, they don't understand what's going on. Bad omens.

Lauren (EZ):

Tell me more.

Nick (E'Louie):

Why do you say that?

Corey (DM):

And you all of a sudden, you see him, like, look back up at the sky. He's like, what'd you say? Huh? Yeah, bad omens.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, we haven't come across this yet, but our characters wouldn't know this, but we know.

Nick (E'Louie):

So, Eloise, like, well, are you talking to. Oh, my gosh.

Corey (DM):

What do you mean? You don't hear it?

Nick (E'Louie):

I'm afraid not. But I am a little bit older as well.

Corey (DM):

They speak to me. They tell me all the things. What's happening is not supposed to be happening. It's bad. It's bad.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, what are they saying?

Corey (DM):

They're telling me this is bad.

Lauren (EZ):

Turn back while you still can.

Corey (DM):

And he kind of goes off a little bit more. He's just like.

Nathan (Stump):

Like, yeah, the.

Corey (DM):

The system is broken.

Nathan (Stump):

The.

Corey (DM):

The lines have been crossed. It's broken. It's. It's causing chaos. They don't know.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Seek the wizards. The wizards will tell you.

Lauren (EZ):

So people can't see you talking, but you're, like, twitching a lot as you're speaking. So I just want the. I just want the visual of the listener to hear or.

Nick (E'Louie):

And every time he twitches, the tails and stuff and hanging off of them are also fluttering.

Lauren (EZ):

So I just wanted. I wanted to share that.

Nathan (Stump):

Stumps comes over and he has, like, a big handful of confetti. And he says, guys, what come after 137?

Corey (DM):

Oh, he grabs his stick and he, like, starts smearing him out of your hand, like, knocking him out. Don't hold them in clumps like that. Don't do that.

Nathan (Stump):

Stops. Hard work. No.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, stop.

Nathan (Stump):

Never find out what's come after 137.

Lauren (EZ):

Don't do that. Surprised that stump could count that high. Is that bad?

Nick (E'Louie):

Why?

Corey (DM):

It's a bad omen to clump them together.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, no. Thank you.

Corey (DM):

Where are your head coverings?

Nick (E'Louie):

Head coverings? What in the.

Corey (DM):

Like, you need head coverings.

Lauren (EZ):

You mean tin foil?

Nathan (Stump):

Like hair?

Corey (DM):

You don't want the worms climbing in through your eyeballs. What? There are hair worms? Guys.

Nathan (Stump):

You never tell Stump of this.

Lauren (EZ):

I. I didn't know.

Nathan (Stump):

We need. What do we need? Old man. Old man?

Corey (DM):

Why are you calling me old man?

Nathan (Stump):

Because you're old.

Corey (DM):

I am not old. I am a young 68.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, that's pretty old. Let's be honest.

Corey (DM):

You're so rude. Just calling me old man. How would you like it if I called you big and dumb?

Nathan (Stump):

Don't make Stump blush. Stump like you.

Lauren (EZ):

Man. We just making friends wherever we go.

Nick (E'Louie):

You don't want to get rid of all of this. All of this confetti. We're here to clean it up. Is that not what you want?

Nathan (Stump):

No.

Corey (DM):

Yes. Get rid of it.

Lauren (EZ):

How do you get rid of plumping together?

Corey (DM):

It's bad. It's all bad.

Nathan (Stump):

He's looking at sky and talking to Sky.

Lauren (EZ):

Twitchy.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, so I want to do like an insight check to see if this guy has anything good to tell us. Otherwise, we need to move on down the road.

Lauren (EZ):

This is fake news.

Corey (DM):

Sure, go ahead. Roll insight. Okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah. That's going to be a 15. 17.

Corey (DM):

Oh. 17. Based on your insights. There are. There's a lot of ramblings, but there's a kernel of truth in one of his ramblings.

Nick (E'Louie):

Which.

Nathan (Stump):

Do we have enough insight to know which one?

Lauren (EZ):

It's like two truths.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, you think it's the clump?

Nick (E'Louie):

It is not the clump. It is the. My guess is it's the worm in the eye. Really? This thing is really happening?

Nathan (Stump):

That felt the most insane to me. But you could be right.

Corey (DM):

I'm gonna call you. I'm gonna call you. Let's go see. I'm gonna call you Braids. I'm gonna call you big and dumb. I'm gonna call you anytime.

Lauren (EZ):

But I'm like. But he.

Nick (E'Louie):

Wait, wait. Hold on.

Corey (DM):

Easy. Are you wearing your socks? Are you wearing your socks?

Nathan (Stump):

What are socks?

Corey (DM):

You got to be wearing socks around here?

Lauren (EZ):

Yes, sir.

Nathan (Stump):

What? This sucks.

Corey (DM):

You don't. You don't. You don't want the foxes to come and bite your toes.

Nathan (Stump):

What? Yeah.

Corey (DM):

It causes you to lose five years of your life.

Nathan (Stump):

You know so much, old man. Stop.

Corey (DM):

Quit calling me old man.

Nathan (Stump):

Need to know more.

Nick (E'Louie):

They have extra socks. I mean, I don't have any socks currently, but I'm a monk and I'm used to wearing socks with flip flops that.

Corey (DM):

And he pulls off a pair of socks. But you see, like His. Oh, yeah, he looks like he's wearing like 10 pair. He pulls a pair off and, like, hands it to you so they're not smells rancid.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, it's like a spongebob close up.

Corey (DM):

And it's just like disgusting, like hair and mold.

Lauren (EZ):

That's so nice of him.

Nick (E'Louie):

Thank you. I. I think my friend Stump here would like to take those for me.

Nathan (Stump):

He's the special sock that keep the fox from biting. Yes, thank you. And Stump puts it on his head.

Corey (DM):

And he starts, like, grabbing leaves and like, put this on your head. He's like, cover your head.

Lauren (EZ):

I think we need to go talk to somebody else now.

Nathan (Stump):

This guy knows everything. Why, we don't need anyone else ever.

Corey (DM):

You call me old man. You call me this guy. You guys are rude.

Nathan (Stump):

What is.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yes, what is your name, sir?

Corey (DM):

I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, you sing. My name is Del Stump. What? Your name is?

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, hold on. What?

Nathan (Stump):

Wait.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, sorry.

Nathan (Stump):

Looking at this guy again.

Corey (DM):

They were talking to me. Oh, my name is Hutchinson.

Lauren (EZ):

Hutchinson?

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, what are you named after?

Corey (DM):

Chris Hutchinson?

Lauren (EZ):

Is that your first or last name?

Corey (DM):

Just Hutchinson.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, that's all you call me.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, of course it is.

Corey (DM):

And he, like, pulls his cloak open. He's like, want to buy one of my wares? And you see all these, like, little tiny figurines.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, my God.

Corey (DM):

In his cloak.

Nathan (Stump):

What do these do to this? Protect from other things.

Corey (DM):

And he looks at you, Stump, for a minute and then he says, I have the perfect one for you. And you see him, like, digging through his cloak.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, this is good.

Corey (DM):

And you hear a couple, like, cracking and popping in there. And then he pulls out a little minifigure that looks exactly like you.

Nathan (Stump):

What? How do you have small Stump to stop? How can this be?

Lauren (EZ):

Did you force.

Corey (DM):

They tell me. They tell me. I know all the things.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, thank you. And Stump takes the small stump because he's giving it to him, right?

Corey (DM):

Oh, yeah.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

He takes it and he says, stump will take good care of this.

Nick (E'Louie):

I'm. Wow, such great craftsmanship.

Nathan (Stump):

Do you have. Yeah, do you have Tiny Easy or Tiny? What's that?

Corey (DM):

He looks up in the sky again. Oh, I gotta go. They're watching me. They're watching. They're watching you too. What? Watch yourselves. They're watching you.

And he begins to just, like, walk away.

Nick (E'Louie):

Bye, Mr. Hutchinson.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes, I am easy as, like, like freaked out. Like she's trying to be like, you.

Nick (E'Louie):

Know, what was that about?

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah, and I'm just like, smiling and nodding And I'm like, oh, dear Lord. Like, that was. That was very. That was troubling, right?

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Lauren (EZ):

Are you guys troubled?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, he was a little. Okay, well, we got worms in the eyes. We got socks that keep head coverings.

Nathan (Stump):

We are okay now because we have the protection.

Nick (E'Louie):

Don't clomp it up.

Lauren (EZ):

Don't clump it up.

Nick (E'Louie):

But now.

Corey (DM):

And it's bad.

Nick (E'Louie):

But now. Stump has a sock on his head.

Lauren (EZ):

You're all new. Yes, I.

Nathan (Stump):

Can I do a perception check now? Now that I'm. Yeah. Okay. Seriously, it's a 13.

Corey (DM):

I mean, there's a lot of hustle and bustle going on. You do notice, I will say, you notice that, like, the auroras were pretty bright.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

And you do notice that they've kind of lost their. Their brightness just a little bit.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, no.

Corey (DM):

When Hutchinson left.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

Is it similar to when the sky got red and scary?

Nick (E'Louie):

Nope.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay. Okay, okay, okay.

Corey (DM):

Nope.

Nick (E'Louie):

All right, well, something else.

Nathan (Stump):

What do you guys think? We talked to some people. We looked around. What else can we do?

Corey (DM):

You're still technically on the outskirts of town, so you can go deeper into town.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, let's go deeper into town.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. As you go deeper into town, you notice. Yeah. All the streets are covered. You see a man in this, like, top hat.

He's got a monocle on, and he's like a nice coat. And he's just holding up his. His scruff right here. And he's looking around at everybody. He's like, yes, yes, yes. Move that to side. Yes.

Go ahead and put the chairs over here. Yes. Okay. Yes. You move over here.

You get this crew and you see, like, three ladies of different sizes following him around with clipboards and, like, taking all these notes.

Nick (E'Louie):

This guy's or the speaker of the town.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

Gotta be.

Nathan (Stump):

He's not Floof.

Corey (DM):

Nope.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay. A little bit similar voice.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

For a second I was like, floof. Spec. Flu.

Corey (DM):

Spec.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

All right.

Lauren (EZ):

The magic plate.

Corey (DM):

Oh, flu. I didn't even think about changing the book. Yeah, yeah. So it's not flu.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, Gotcha.

Lauren (EZ):

It's not Floof and it's not Petunia.

Corey (DM):

No.

Nick (E'Louie):

Pretend cat looking.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Nick (E'Louie):

And more Mr.

Nathan (Stump):

Monopoly.

Corey (DM):

This is more Mr. Monopoly.

Nick (E'Louie):

What race?

Corey (DM):

Heavyset man.

Nick (E'Louie):

Heavyset Man.

Nathan (Stump):

That's my favorite race.

Lauren (EZ):

What are you? I'm a heavyset man.

Nathan (Stump):

That's my subclass. His Heavyset Man.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, so we, you know, Eloise walks up to and says, oh, good day to you, sir. Is there anything here we can do to help you? Hello. We come from out of Town. And we're. We're kind of new to this place.

Corey (DM):

Oh, yes. New visitors. Welcome, welcome, welcome. Welcome to Pete's Fall Crossing. You've come at a wonderful time. We are here.

We are being blessed by the volcano. We have been chosen to be blessed.

Lauren (EZ):

So you're a fan?

Corey (DM):

Oh, yes. We are gonna. Really. Excuse my pun. We're gonna monopolize this.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, my goodness.

Corey (DM):

And we are going to make lots of money, and we're just gonna make sure we have a wonderful time. And. Yeah. This is just so wonderful. Only a very few towns have been blessed like this, and we are being blessed right now. And you see the three women.

One of them is like a gnome woman, one is a satyr, and one is an elf. And they're all just like. I'm just making notes and. Okay, yes, blessing. Money, money, money. Okay. Find ways to make money. He's like. Oh, excuse me. I'm.

I am the mayor of this fine town. What brings you all here?

Nick (E'Louie):

Are you here for the festival, Mr. Mayor? Yeah, well, my name is Ilui and I, we have come for the festival in a kind of way.

Nathan (Stump):

Yes, in a.

Lauren (EZ):

In a kind of way. Yes. Good.

Nick (E'Louie):

Good job. And what is your name, good sir?

Corey (DM):

Oh, I am Mayor Tinselwick.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, of course. Mayor Tinselwick. Well, nice to. Nice to have your acquaintance here.

Corey (DM):

Yes, very nice to have outsiders come to our town. Please, spend lots of money in our tavern. We have the finest drinks, the most wonderful food, and. No, don't you be sweeping that away.

Leave it in the road.

Nick (E'Louie):

I just have a question for you. I heard you say something about, well, being blessed, of course, but. And to monetize. I'm guessing you're talking about all the confetti.

Corey (DM):

Oh, yes, yes, yes.

Nick (E'Louie):

And how do you plan on doing that, if you wouldn't mind sharing?

Corey (DM):

Oh, well, we're going to keep this here as long as possible. And, you know, just people will come from all over to see this. This is the most confetti that has fallen, so people want to see it all in one place.

People see small glimpses of confetti every now and then from the volcanoes, but it normally dissipates before it gets down. And look at all this. This is gonna bring me lots of money.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, now, I think you're right. It's a wonderful blessing you've got there. Well, this is gonna be just a fantastic time. And look, look, Mr. Mayor.

All the people coming in from out of town. Wow. Wouldn't it be nice to make this an attraction where folks Would come over and over again.

Corey (DM):

Oh, yes. That's the plan. Yes. I have my Festival Preservation Society. We just formed this morning. And he, like, introduces the three. She's like, I'm Loma.

You hear another one say, I'm Brig. And another one say, hi, I'm Peep.

Nick (E'Louie):

Loma. Brig and Peep.

Corey (DM):

Yep. Loma.

Nick (E'Louie):

Brigand, you're writing this down. Loma, Brig and Peep. And his name is Mayor Tinsel.

Corey (DM):

Mayor Tinselwick Wick. Mayor Pencil.

Nick (E'Louie):

Mayor Pencil. Wick. Yeah.

Corey (DM):

He's like, I just made this. Preservation Society today, we're now confirming that this will be the first festival that we are calling the Kano Festival.

Lauren (EZ):

Dang it. I just. Man.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, that's just wonderful. It's gonna be a really wonderful time.

Lauren (EZ):

And team Party Pooper.

Nick (E'Louie):

So would you say that you have got many people that might be at your service that could help you if. If they needed to?

Corey (DM):

Most. Most folks around here are on board. So, yeah, we've got our committee and subcommittees now. And, I mean, we got a good.

As you could see, there are people managing the roads. And so we've got plenty of people to. Yes. Put this festival together.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, fantastic. Well, you know, I. I think I might have a business idea for you, But I must consult with. With my people first.

And I'd like to present something to you. Yes.

Corey (DM):

If it makes me money, I'm happy to listen.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, lots of money, Peep.

Corey (DM):

Please make sure everyone's doing their jobs. And do you all need drinks? Anything?

Nick (E'Louie):

As a matter of fact, definitely use the drink.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

All right. So they fetch you basically whatever drink you want.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, nice. So here's what I'm thinking.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah. So cooking up something.

Nick (E'Louie):

We've got to figure something out. He's got. He's. He's trying to make some money off this volcano situation and all this confetti in the street.

Nathan (Stump):

I'm thinking you want to pitch like,.

Nick (E'Louie):

We need to give him a business idea because he's got people to help. What are we gonna do? Go pick it up? Okay. Stump's thing is not gonna work to pick it up one at a time.

Nathan (Stump):

No, definitely not.

Nick (E'Louie):

Brilliant, but okay.

Lauren (EZ):

And then also save. Our initial plan was save it for later.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

I think where we stand right now, our best option is to try to convince this guy. Right.

Nick (E'Louie):

Two ideas.

Nathan (Stump):

This seems like.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, first business idea. Here we go. The local entrepreneur.

Lauren (EZ):

So this is Nick Jack speaking and not Eloise.

Nick (E'Louie):

The concept is we've got to convince him that if we collect all of this stuff up Into a giant pile or a ball. He can put it in the town museum and create an attraction that will have people coming from.

Nathan (Stump):

I will say, yeah, Stump is convinced. No clump. Yeah, he, he believes, he believes the.

Nick (E'Louie):

Clump's gonna go down.

Nathan (Stump):

He, if we start clumping stuff, he'll be, he'll get scared. He won't think that's a good idea.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so, but I, I think both.

Nick (E'Louie):

Of my business ideas came down to class.

Nathan (Stump):

I think we, instead of discussing it, I think we should just role play it.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

And we should just go and I'll follow your lead for the idea and all that, But I'll still be stumped. But I think we should just like it.

Lauren (EZ):

I, I, I think I trust you. I think my character, you know, you've earned easiest trust for me to follow your lead.

Nick (E'Louie):

The other one is that we go to the crowd and say, let's carry the party. And we get Stump up there dancing and we carry the party on. And the way we carry it on is we bring it all together to.

Corey (DM):

Take it with us.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, let's, let's role play it out.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

Let's see how it goes.

Corey (DM):

All right. So, yeah, he, you know, your drinks are brought to you. He's like, so this business idea, what is it you have?

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, Mr. Tinselwick, one thought I had was Mayor Tinselwick. Oh, mayor, yes, thank you. Of course, of course it's mayor. And here an idea.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could have these people come again and again to your town?

Corey (DM):

Yes, we just discussed that.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, well, one of the ways to do that, if you got all the confetti and you got it all together, what, in a big. Now in a big pile.

Lauren (EZ):

Not a pile. Not a clump.

Nick (E'Louie):

In a pile. Of course not a clump, to be sure.

Nathan (Stump):

Different.

Nick (E'Louie):

And yeah, if it was in a big pile, then we'd have it in one place. And then you could charge people tickets to come and see the massive pile of volcano confetti.

Lauren (EZ):

It could be a tourist attraction.

Nick (E'Louie):

It could be a tourist attraction. You could advertise it. You could set up streams of revenue from tourists coming in to Cedar Town.

And just think of all the dollars that you'd get while they were here in town. They'd be spending it with the other folks. And then you could collect your taxes as you do.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah's biggest pile.

Nathan (Stump):

What, what is Dollars, vouchers.

Nick (E'Louie):

Excuse me. I come from a different planet.

Corey (DM):

There you go.

Nick (E'Louie):

From a different place.

Corey (DM):

He's like, you know, the inner. My voice keep changing with this person. You know, you got me thinking of fluke.

Lauren (EZ):

The fluke was so good, Nick almost spit his beer out.

Corey (DM):

So he's like, well, you know, the. The inner rim over there, they have this giant ball of yarn that brings people there. So maybe I could do the giant ball of confetti.

How would we hold it together?

Lauren (EZ):

That's a good question. Let's ask the committee.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, Stump. No. How?

Corey (DM):

Rope.

Nathan (Stump):

Rope, always.

Corey (DM):

There's lots of small pieces.

Nick (E'Louie):

I don't know if you have a glass blower. Maybe they could blow us a giant glass of ball and then we just.

Corey (DM):

Put it in there.

Lauren (EZ):

It's a piece of art otherwise.

Corey (DM):

And maybe we could save half of it to sell individual pieces of confetti.

Nick (E'Louie):

There's a reason why you're the mayor now.

Corey (DM):

That's right. I'm 70 years running.

Nick (E'Louie):

70 Years. Wow.

Lauren (EZ):

Wow.

Nathan (Stump):

It is long time to be alive.

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Lauren (EZ):

Everybody, I was thinking. I was thinking before we started playing, I had to add, like, some. Oh, I can't remember what it's called. Like some.

Not proficiency, but something that I'm crafted in. And I almost did glassblowing, but I didn't.

Nick (E'Louie):

I thought you were gonna say confetti collecting.

Lauren (EZ):

No, there was like. There was.

Nick (E'Louie):

Was.

Lauren (EZ):

It said glass blowing on there. And I was like. But I'm like, when would I use that?

Nick (E'Louie):

Right?

Corey (DM):

So you did.

Lauren (EZ):

That was literally like an hour ago. So that.

Nick (E'Louie):

So you did pass right over the confetti collecting.

Lauren (EZ):

That's, you know, that is a part of the D D handbook. So. Yes. Okay. Continue.

Corey (DM):

Yes. Okay. So, yeah, so he likes. He likes the idea. You know, he thinks, any way to monetize this.

And if there's a giant ball, then, yeah, it could be something this town is named after. And as you're still looking around, like this town goes for a while, you know, and there's literally confetti everywhere. You see the.

The committee that's kind of walking around, you see them, like, slapping people's hands that are trying to, like, pick it up. And you see someone trying to, like, sweep it, and they're like, no, no, no, no, no, we're not sweeping. The mayor has not said to move anything yet.

And so they're kind of. You see that kind of going down. So that's kind of the vibe.

Most everyone else, though, is like, they'll pick some up and, like, throw it in the air, and they're, like, dancing around. But anyone that tries to really contain it, you notice that they're like, no, no, no, no.

Nathan (Stump):

Gotcha.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah. Okay. So Ilui kind of says, well, it looks like, you know, there's a good thing happening here. Yeah. A lot of people come from out of town.

I think that maybe you let them do their thing. And then toward the end, when the celebration is over, that's when you go collect all the things you need, but let them have a party for now.

It's just a thought. And maybe we'll come back around and if you need our help, you can let us know.

Corey (DM):

I thought about idea. Maybe we do a big party today with all our guests and then. Yes. Collect all their money in our taverns.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

And then after the party, we can gather everything up into a giant big bowl.

Nick (E'Louie):

I think it's a wonderful idea. I can't believe. I can't believe you came up with that. That's wonderful.

Corey (DM):

And over in a way, in the distance, you hear, don't clump it, don't clump it. Okay, well, we'll be going.

Nick (E'Louie):

We're not clumping it. Somebody needs to shush that man.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump leans over to.

Corey (DM):

Watch out for the worms.

Nick (E'Louie):

The worms in your eyes. And the foxes.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump leans over to Tinselwick and he puts his hand out like a private part, and he says, so under your hat, you have safety sock. Yes. And Stump points at his head with, like, all the twigs and leaves and socks. And by the way, we all have those on our heads right now.

Corey (DM):

Not the socks, but you have everything.

Nathan (Stump):

Stomp just has a sock.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

No. Yes, you're safe.

Nick (E'Louie):

Elui hits his forehead with his palm and just looks to the ground and shakes his head.

Corey (DM):

I mean, I have my hat. And he takes it off and there's nothing under it. And he puts it back on.

Nathan (Stump):

You're going to be bit by the fox. This guy will come for you. Don't you know this?

Corey (DM):

The fox? We don't have foxes in this region.

Nathan (Stump):

Have you not spoken with Hutchinson?

Corey (DM):

Go, Hutchinson.

Nathan (Stump):

Have you met Hutchinson the wise man?

Corey (DM):

Well, that man is off his rocker. He's very, shall we say, unreliable.

Nathan (Stump):

Everybody here off rocker? There are no rockers around.

Corey (DM):

It is an expression, my friend. Yeah, old Hutchinson's been around for a while. He. He likes to speak into the sky for some reason, and he claims he hears things.

Nathan (Stump):

He knows. And he.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, there's a lot of wild.

Lauren (EZ):

Has he ever been right Tales.

Corey (DM):

Throw enough crap against the wall, something will stick eventually.

Nathan (Stump):

So, okay, sometimes a clock break. Sometimes the clock is working.

Lauren (EZ):

What are you laughing at?

Corey (DM):

Yeah, so is he. I mean, he's been right a few times, but we just, you know, push that up to dumb luck.

Nathan (Stump):

Look. Look at this there. How. How can he be wrong and also have this. He'd never met Stump, and he have little Stump. And he shows him a little Stump.

Corey (DM):

Oh, yes.

Nathan (Stump):

How can this be?

Corey (DM):

Well, you see, Hutchinson, he used to be a wizard many, many, many, many years ago. So he does still have some magical, you know, abilities, I guess you could say.

Nathan (Stump):

Perhaps he can help.

Corey (DM):

He doesn't like. He doesn't like me very much. Let's just put it this way. I've had to put him in jail a few times.

Nick (E'Louie):

Did you.

Nathan (Stump):

Did you call him old?

Corey (DM):

Oh, yeah. We all do.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

I mean, he is really old, but so are you. So, you know.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, but he looks it.

Corey (DM):

I don't.

Lauren (EZ):

So I think we should get to partying.

Corey (DM):

What do you want to do?

Nick (E'Louie):

So I want to. So, okay. So Elu says, well, thank you for Talking to us, Mr. Mayor, and we'll be back a little later on to check in with you here.

Nathan (Stump):

You can. Maybe after the party you can borrow Stumps safety sock. And he puts it on his top hat for you.

Corey (DM):

I must warn you, if you touch my top hat again, I will have to call security.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, well, maybe don't stomp. That's a very nice gesture, but you.

Lauren (EZ):

Have such good intentions.

Corey (DM):

That's the thing I love. It's always great intentions.

Nathan (Stump):

Whoops.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes, whoops.

Corey (DM):

Anyways, we're gonna go back to the festivities.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

Please come see me after and we will begin this new business venture.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, we're here to help.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

And you see him start, like, commanding people to, like, you know, set up the stage, do this and that, and everyone's kind of getting their positions.

You see, half the town kind of just sitting and just staring at everything and just like, shaking their head just like, oh, my gosh, we don't need all these people here. And the others are, like, super excited. Kids are happy. And it's. It's kind of pretty split on how people feel about this going on right now.

So, yeah, he's getting ready for the festivities. What are you all gonna do? So.

Nick (E'Louie):

So Elui would like to go try to find out who is the party master. Master. Who is the party or woman. The hippies might have one that's like, this is what we're doing, everybody.

And, like, who's in charge of the partiers or that? Who's the one, like, leading the party crew?

Lauren (EZ):

You have to find somebody with a lampshade on their Head.

Nick (E'Louie):

Who has the lampshade on their head?

Nathan (Stump):

Who looks the most like a cult leader?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, there you go. Most cultish.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah. Who's leading these hippies?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yep.

Corey (DM):

So that.

Nick (E'Louie):

So Elu kind of wants to come out into the party. You guys want to. Should we make our way out?

Nathan (Stump):

I'll go with you.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, yeah. And of course he's gonna grab fist.

Lauren (EZ):

Bumping and just like he got a drink.

Nick (E'Louie):

Right. So the main woman drinks and so Eloise got.

Nathan (Stump):

I said Easy's been waiting for her moment.

Lauren (EZ):

I just really want to party.

Nick (E'Louie):

It's time.

Corey (DM):

The time has.

Nick (E'Louie):

The time has come.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, there's lots of like, little groups. And then at this point now, you've kind of been checking things out.

Going around the town, you notice like more in the center of town where the square normally is. You know, they've got a stage set up. They've got people up there doing like acrobatics on the stage. Yeah, somewhat.

There's like a couple people up on the rooftops, like sprinkling the confetti over them while they're doing their tricks. And eventually you get like a group of bards up there and they start playing, know some instruments and singing some songs and everything's going on.

And you see the group that you saw earlier that morning, they're over there partying as well together. You see Ulysses and the rest of his group, they don't seem to really pay attention to you all because everyone's too kind of busy.

You see the festival committee, they're like,.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, the festival committee. Oh my gosh, what are they doing?

Corey (DM):

Oh, they're going around making sure that everyone is, you know, in order and not like they're just making sure everyone's having fun, but also making sure they're not like breaking chairs, you know, messing up the stage. Making sure the confetti is staying spread out and that, like, so everyone can enjoy it. Yeah, they're just kind of just along the task.

They're still holding their clipboards and they're still just going about their tasks.

Nick (E'Louie):

So is the festival committee part of the mayor's team?

Nathan (Stump):

I think that's Loma Brigand Peep.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah. So smart. Yeah, wicked smart.

Lauren (EZ):

Well, I mean, is there. I think that's what he said.

Nick (E'Louie):

Is there any. Yes. Also Wicked listening.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes, thank you.

Nick (E'Louie):

Wicked listening to the dm, which is nice. Yes, for the dm. Okay, so. So is there. Is there not like some kind of Kid Rock looking character that's just like jazzed up and is like leading the.

Well I was not hippie bohemian, folks.

Nathan (Stump):

He's man jazz, I would say.

Corey (DM):

We already talked about him earlier.

Lauren (EZ):

This is actually the second time we've mentioned he's.

Corey (DM):

Let's please not mention Kid Rock in our show.

Nathan (Stump):

We've hit our Kid Rock limit for this quota.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah.

Nick (E'Louie):

What I meant to say is, is there any, like, Prince looking kind of bohemian? Like, people are just, like, attracted to this person.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah. They're like a Bowie.

Nick (E'Louie):

Let's just make.

Nathan (Stump):

I like that the most. Bowie.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. You also, while you're discussing this, you. You hear from the distance. You hear, go, Sal. Go, Sal. Yeah, go, Sal.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, go, Sal.

Corey (DM):

And there's like, this big crowd, and you see someone in the middle of the crowd just, like, dancing, like, break dancing and going on. There's people, like, drumming on the outskirts of this little crowd, and there's like, go sell. Go sell. That's the guy I'm looking for.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Lauren (EZ):

Is he on top of a cardboard box?

Corey (DM):

No, he's not.

Lauren (EZ):

He's not break dancing.

Corey (DM):

He's straight up on the ground.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, hold on. Have you ever seen a person break dancing on top of a cardboard box.

Lauren (EZ):

That's normally, like, flattened one?

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Like, thinking, like, cardboard.

Lauren (EZ):

Like a.

Nick (E'Louie):

If you found a person, it's gotta be an elf. You know, B boys. Okay.

Corey (DM):

You know.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Lauren (EZ):

Like, yeah.

Nick (E'Louie):

Sal is freaking killing it. Okay.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

So. So Eloi kind of walks over there and he's like, wow. Yeah, look at him go. And he's trying to clap on the beat, but he's not getting it.

Corey (DM):

Aren't we all? Yeah, yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

It's. It's your moment. Easy.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh. And then I'm like.

Corey (DM):

And everyone kind of turns to you and they're like, yeah. Fist bumping in the air. And you're, like, adding to the beat. And the drums start to match your beatboxing beat. You know, they're doing their thing.

Nick (E'Louie):

And then, like, Eloise and Stump both kind of, like, kind of put their hands out a little bit and start creating a space.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Oh, they're easy.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah. And I. I'm just, like, real awkward looking, though.

Nick (E'Louie):

Could you do the beatbox again?

Corey (DM):

And then, like, Sal stops his dance and, like, does his, like, pose and then points at you.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, my God, this is so.

Corey (DM):

You're up.

Nathan (Stump):

Go easy, go easy. Go easy, easy.

Corey (DM):

And then the crowd kind of stops for a second. Like, it goes quiet. And then they all start cheering and jumping around. And Sal comes up and starts jumping, like, pats you and gives you high five.

Lauren (EZ):

And so it's a familiar feeling of, you know, crowd recognition. I hope I don't choke to death.

Nick (E'Louie):

On my beats or cause a stampede or something.

Lauren (EZ):

No.

Nick (E'Louie):

All of a sudden, cows start coming over the hill.

Lauren (EZ):

I'm like, oh, no drama.

Nick (E'Louie):

No, that's great.

Corey (DM):

You're building rapport with Sal.

Nick (E'Louie):

You got the beat bucks.

Lauren (EZ):

He's got. He's my boy.

Corey (DM):

Come on. So everyone's kind of just. Now they're all just kind of like in their own thing and the. The circle has broken. You know, the excitement happened.

Now everyone's kind of in their small clumps and just back to like dancing. No, wait, no.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, no.

Corey (DM):

They're back to their small piles.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes. Goodness. Yeah, I am just.

Nick (E'Louie):

So we go up to Sal. We gotta go talk to Slide.

Nathan (Stump):

Must be the hottest guy you've ever seen, I would assume.

Lauren (EZ):

What does he look like?

Corey (DM):

Yeah. So Sal is actually a dwarf.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay. Oh, so we're kind Almost.

Corey (DM):

Almost the same size.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah, almost the same.

Corey (DM):

So he's. He's much thinner than a dwarf normally is. Normally dwarves are pretty stocky. But this door, if you see him, it seems to be pretty active.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

As you can see from the dancing and stuff. But also has a very big beard that has been like braided really tight. So it's got like all those like individual braids, you know, coming over.

Yeah, I mean, I would say he's like a middle aged dwarf.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, okay.

Corey (DM):

What is only like 3, 400 years old?

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, okay. Gotcha.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, yeah.

Nick (E'Louie):

You know, yeah. So I. So are you having an interaction with Sal? Is easy having an interaction with Sal, or are we going as a group over there?

Lauren (EZ):

Because I think we can go as a group.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, so we go over.

Lauren (EZ):

What are we. What are we needing to say to him? I think we.

Corey (DM):

I got this all. Yeah, it looks like Eloise got it. So he walks up.

Lauren (EZ):

So can you, can you be my wingman?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, yeah, yeah. You're leading the group. So you walk over there and I'm on.

Lauren (EZ):

I'm on wing and you know, my hair is just blowing in the wind.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Lauren (EZ):

And. And I like put my hands on my hips and. And then I'm like. Did you like my beatboxing?

Corey (DM):

Yes, I thought it was lovely. It sounded so good. Oh, my gosh.

Lauren (EZ):

Thank you.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Lauren (EZ):

Well, I. It's so nice to meet you. My name is Esmeralda.

Corey (DM):

Oh, my name is Sal. Was short for Salamander. Very nice to meet you. Oh, well, I just go by Sal.

Lauren (EZ):

So you can call me Easy.

Corey (DM):

Oh, nice to meet you easy?

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah. Oh, easy. And Sal, that's.

Corey (DM):

Then out of the corner you hear, out of the, out of the side you hear, dad, dad. And you see these two young dwarves walk up.

Lauren (EZ):

And then, and then I like, Kool Aid man.

Nick (E'Louie):

Out of there.

Corey (DM):

I'm just kidding.

Lauren (EZ):

I'm just kidding. I'm like, oh, no.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, there's two kids like coming. He like hugs him. He's like, oh, you guys. Did you see dad?

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah, we saw you. It was awesome.

Corey (DM):

Oh, yeah, dad had so much fun.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, how you doing there, youngster? Nice. Nice to meet you.

Corey (DM):

Very nice to meet you.

Nick (E'Louie):

And what was your name?

Corey (DM):

Salamander. You can call me Sal for short.

Nick (E'Louie):

Sal. Nice to meet you. I'm Eloi.

Lauren (EZ):

And you're a dwarf as well, right here.

Nick (E'Louie):

Stump.

Corey (DM):

Hello.

Nick (E'Louie):

And I don't know if there's a dwarf greeting. I mean, we're in a different, you know, world, but, you know, doesn't seem.

Corey (DM):

To be at this point.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, there should be. I say, like, I say that I greet him in the dwarf language, you know.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Which he speaks. Sweet. Hello back.

Lauren (EZ):

What's up? What's up?

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, so he says, sal, you look like you have. You've got a lot going on for you here with your family and your, Your kids. Boys or girls?

Corey (DM):

I got two girls.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, very nice, very nice.

Lauren (EZ):

Is there a. Is there a Mrs. Sal?

Corey (DM):

No, unfortunately she's passed away a couple years ago. So it's just. Just me and my girls.

Lauren (EZ):

That's so sad.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, but we're making it through.

Lauren (EZ):

I say that so sad as I'm smiling. Okay, continue.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, it looks like there's a wonderful crowd. How long have you been coming to these, to these festivals?

Corey (DM):

Oh, we just. I mean, this is our second Kano Festival. We. We more stick to the. The water festivals and things like that or stuff up in the mountains.

But we decided we'd try the Kano Festival. Festival? It sounded fun.

Nick (E'Louie):

And why not?

Corey (DM):

Yeah, exactly.

Nick (E'Louie):

How long have you been dancing? My goodness?

Corey (DM):

Oh, ever since. Ever since I was a weed war, I've been dancing.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, well, you do it really well. It comes very naturally to you.

Corey (DM):

Ah, thank you. You should have seen the look on my father's face when I first danced. Oh, he kicked me out of the mountain.

Nick (E'Louie):

Sorry to hear that.

Nathan (Stump):

Kicked you out?

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, yes.

Nathan (Stump):

Your father don't like your dance?

Corey (DM):

No, I'm special. Us Dwarves are meant to mine the mountains. And he was not going to have a dancing sun, that's for sure.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, this is so you can dance if you Want to?

Corey (DM):

Can I leave my world behind?

Nathan (Stump):

Well, if you don't dance, you know, then you don't dance and you ain't no friends.

Corey (DM):

And scene.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, that's good that you're dancing. And maybe he just didn't know or see the beauty in it. But there's as much beauty in dancing as there is in mining and jewels.

It's just a different kind. I agree.

Corey (DM):

He would not understand that, but I completely agree. We're all meant for something different and everything is beautiful.

Nick (E'Louie):

I. I couldn't agree more.

Lauren (EZ):

You could be a father figure and then I could marry him.

Nick (E'Louie):

Are you whispering to me?

Lauren (EZ):

Yes.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, that's a weird thing to ask me to see if I could get him to marry you.

Lauren (EZ):

No, you could be a father figure and then you could give me away.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, okay.

Corey (DM):

What's out.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

Well, is there anything else? I'd be honored, but is there anything else you all need? I need to get my girls some food.

Nick (E'Louie):

Absolutely. Sal, we had a question for you.

Corey (DM):

Yeah?

Nick (E'Louie):

Do you know anyone around here? Or maybe you yourself? Will you be going to the next party?

Corey (DM):

Yeah, we kind of just wander from here to there, and we'll just. Normally here, someone knows where the next party is, and we all just kind.

Nick (E'Louie):

Of follow along the next volcano party.

Corey (DM):

I mean, I haven't heard if there's another one, but, I mean, there might be. I just kind of just. Why, just follow the crowd wherever we head next.

Nick (E'Louie):

Fantastic. Well, we had an idea and we'd like to share it with you if you'd be willing to listen. Yeah, well, sure. You know, look at all the people around here.

Look at them having fun and building a relationship. They really love one another, don't they? And they're really having a good time and letting loose, forgetting about the stresses in the world.

But, you know, I had an idea.

Well, if we got all these folks to gather up all the confetti here after the party, of course, then maybe we could move the party on down the road and it could be better the next place we went.

Corey (DM):

You mean take the confetti with us?

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, of course, but after the party. Because there ain't no party like a confetti volcano party.

Corey (DM):

Well, we were told that it can't leave the town. Like, they were very strict when we got here. They were like. Like the confetti stays here. And if anyone sees, like, we'll be going to jail.

Like, that's what that old mayor pencil dick said.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, well. Well, he seems a little uptight, doesn't he?

Corey (DM):

Now, yeah, sorry. He just really got on my nerves. I'm sorry, girls. Don't ever repeat what I said. I'm sorry.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, okay.

Well, yeah, so I just had thought, you know, maybe, you know, if we could gather the things together, we could bring the party down to the next place. Now. We wouldn't want to go dishonoring the mayor, of course.

Corey (DM):

Well, I mean, that guy was kind of a jerk. And I do like a good time. My girls love a good time. And, you know, all my friends here, you see them all, like, waving. Like, you tell.

This is, like, his caravan crew. They all have a good time. I mean, that would be kind of fun to take this with us because it's very festive.

Nick (E'Louie):

I mean, well, and after all that idea, it's not really the mayor who produced the confetti, you know, the confetti is a gift from the earth, and you ought to try it before you knock it first.

Corey (DM):

Well, with all this great talking, I think you should roll me a persuasion check.

Nathan (Stump):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

Oh, please.

Nick (E'Louie):

Come on, baby.

Corey (DM):

Oh, it's a net. Perfect.

Nick (E'Louie):

Is that the only.

Nathan (Stump):

No, it's not the only roll, though.

Lauren (EZ):

That's like.

Nathan (Stump):

That's amazing, though.

Lauren (EZ):

Calling your shot in pool and then she just nailing it.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

He says, you know what? I think you're on to something, you know?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

This confetti does not belong to the mayor. This came from the volcano, which is a product of this earth. And he's calling it a blessing. So why shouldn't we all enjoy the blessing? You know what?

I'm going to get my caravan here to join this cause maybe we can talk to a few others, too.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

I think with that 20, he's like, I think I could convince some other people, too.

Nick (E'Louie):

Wow. Yeah, I. It's a good idea. And we'll be here to help you if we can.

Lauren (EZ):

I will definitely be here to help you.

Corey (DM):

All right, so where are we meeting to do this?

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, after the party, I guess we'll get together and I think we'll find you.

Corey (DM):

Okay, sounds good. And he goes and starts talking to a few people, and he's like, shows, like, mimicking, like, putting confetti in bags and stuff like that.

And so not piles or.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah, yeah. No or not.

Nick (E'Louie):

Definitely.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes, definitely.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. So the party continues on, and, like, it's getting pretty late into the night. Things are still going on. You see the.

May, even the mayors out there, you're doing very awkward, like, old guy dances, you know, he's doing the point to the Lord move. And, yeah, he's doing. Well, no, he's not doing the lawnmower because that's like. Oh, he's doing the shopping cart.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, yeah.

Lauren (EZ):

I was like, that is not the world for that.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, not. Not the world for that.

Lauren (EZ):

Maybe he's doing the bus driver.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump is doing the. The golem instead of the robot.

Corey (DM):

There you go. Oh, yes, I like it.

Nathan (Stump):

Look at this. Stump. Don't learn this dance.

Corey (DM):

So hours pass, the party's going, things seem to start to wind down. People are starting to either be passed out in the streets or some have turned in.

Most of the people that live here that don't want anything to do with this. You see them just like already. They've already gone to bed hours ago. They've seemed to boarded up their windows because try to keep the noise out.

The mayor, he's gone. He's most likely probably back at his office. But you do know he's supposed to meet you at some point after this because you did tell him to meet you.

So he might be coming back sometime soon. You're not sure, but most everyone else is kind of. Things are winding down, let's put it that way. The band has stopped.

All that's left in the streets are those that have decided to keep the party going on after. So. Yeah, yeah. So you're at the point now where everything's kind of winded down. The. The mayor's not here, but he could be coming back anytime.

You're not sure. You don't see the party planning committee, the festival committee, they're nowhere around.

But yeah, all the confetti is still all in the ground, everywhere around.

Nathan (Stump):

So Stump looks at Eloise and he says, why did you not tell Sal about how the mayor also wants to move Deacon Vetti?

Lauren (EZ):

That's a good question. Well, I was wondering the same thing.

Nathan (Stump):

Stop confused.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, you know, there are a lot of things in life where folks are looking to do different actions, they have different goals.

Nathan (Stump):

But these actions and calls seem to be pretty similar to Stump.

Nick (E'Louie):

Which are what?

Nathan (Stump):

Both of them want to move the confetti now, right?

Nick (E'Louie):

I. That's. That's the idea.

Nathan (Stump):

But you tell Sal that the mayor don't want to. Right?

Nick (E'Louie):

I. The mayor wants to take the confetti up and keep it.

Nathan (Stump):

Look, Stump think you're very smart, so you probably know something Stump don't know.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, I think what we're trying to do in our lives is to help folks get what they want. Yeah. And the mayor there, well, he wants to take the confetti, doesn't he and the partiers. Well, they'd love to take the confetti too, wouldn't they?

Nathan (Stump):

Yes.

Lauren (EZ):

So they're doing our job for us and you know.

Nick (E'Louie):

Is that what you're getting at if you look around? Well, we would like the confetti removed, wouldn't we?

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah.

Nick (E'Louie):

And there's nothing better in life. Two birds when two birds or three with the same stone. And we can help either side.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes.

Nick (E'Louie):

And my goodness, look around. There's a lot of confetti here.

Nathan (Stump):

But won't Sal be like, oh, we should try to keep this from mayor. But Mayor will be like, oh, this is good.

Nick (E'Louie):

I. I'd had another thought. I'd hate to take anything from the mayor that didn't. He didn't want to lose. But if you look over by the mountain, there's a lot more confetti.

Depending on how things go, we could negotiate to them. We could tell Sal there's more confetti there by the mountain and we could tell the mayor, you'd better hurry and pick it up.

Otherwise these partiers are going to take it from your town.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, this sounds like good plan to start.

Nick (E'Louie):

That's the hope.

Nathan (Stump):

Stop. Just let you do all the thinking.

Nick (E'Louie):

I think that's probably a good idea sometimes.

Lauren (EZ):

As long as I get to know Sal a little bit more.

Nick (E'Louie):

And on that note, I have a. I have an idea.

Corey (DM):

And while you all are kind of talking in the the moonlight down one of the streets, you see an old guy in his cane walking in the ratty clothing and the tails.

Nick (E'Louie):

Here he comes.

Corey (DM):

See him in the the moonlight hitting his silhouette. He like stops and turns and looks down the street where you all are at, hutching all.

Nathan (Stump):

Hello.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, hello.

Corey (DM):

Find the wizards.

Nathan (Stump):

You are.

Corey (DM):

We'll give you the answers. Find the wizards. And then he's like keeps on walking.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

I think that's a word we should heed.

Lauren (EZ):

Where are the wizards?

Nathan (Stump):

Well, he's wizard, remember?

Lauren (EZ):

Oh yeah.

Corey (DM):

Actually, before he leaves, why don't you all roll me a perception check?

Nathan (Stump):

Okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, five.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh goodness.

Nathan (Stump):

Sixteen.

Lauren (EZ):

Six.

Nick (E'Louie):

Six.

Corey (DM):

All right, Stump, what'd you get? Seven. So Stump, since you, you kind of called him out, you know, maybe you had a better view on him. You kind of noticed it was him.

You did notice that a lot of those tails and stuff, you know, they had hanging or odd. But you did also notice a few extra things hanging from his clothing. Yeah, you did see there was like a dog chew toy.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

And you saw that there was a. A stick with like a little feather Hanging from it. Yeah, also hanging. So those are just like, two odd things.

And it brings back to memory the last time you saw a chew toy, right. Was the very first mission you all did.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Which was.

Nathan (Stump):

And it had powers.

Corey (DM):

And, you know, the DMV had that locked up tight because they were like, whoa, this is a relic. You know, like, this needs to be. And he seems to have a couple things on him.

Nathan (Stump):

As Stump looks at Easy and Eloise and he says, guys, Stump think hatching, old man. He has magical object.

Corey (DM):

And you do remember that the mayor did say he used to be a wizard.

Nathan (Stump):

He must be wizard. We need to go out to him and say, we found wizard. It is you.

Lauren (EZ):

He be wiz.

Nathan (Stump):

He be whizzing all over.

Nick (E'Louie):

What?

Corey (DM):

No.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, you lost me on that one. But I do think that Stump, I. I see you and I hear what you're saying.

Nathan (Stump):

It was chew toy.

Nick (E'Louie):

Let's go chat with him first. Let's go.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah. Hey, hey, hey.

Nick (E'Louie):

So we run towards.

Lauren (EZ):

He gives me the.

Nick (E'Louie):

He's Toward the heebie jeebie guy.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah, yeah.

Corey (DM):

He. So, you know, as.

Nick (E'Louie):

He.

Corey (DM):

You kind of noticed that, like, he kept walking down the street. So by the time you all get down there and turn the corner, like, he is nowhere to be seen.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, nice alley. Classic. He's g. But you do see Sal.

Corey (DM):

Walking towards you all, and he's like, oh, hey, guys.

Lauren (EZ):

And I'm like, hey.

Nick (E'Louie):

Hey.

Corey (DM):

Did you all enjoy the party? Like, it was great, right?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, it was a wonderful party.

Corey (DM):

I got the girls to bed. You know, they're. They're staying with their aunt back over there. Yeah. You said you had something to do, right? At night?

Yeah, like, we doing this thing.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, yeah. I think it's time.

Lauren (EZ):

Your plan. Why are you looking at me?

Nick (E'Louie):

Get your. Yeah. Do you think your people are ready? He's like, two parties out.

Corey (DM):

I can't whistle. But he's like. He, like, you know, whistles. And then from behind him, you see, like, six more people walk out, and they're like, let's do this thing.

Nick (E'Louie):

Fantastic. All right. Let's collect as much as we can quickly. And I'm like, okay, easy. We'll stay here to help you. Yeah. So is.

Does it look like the mayor's gone to bed?

Corey (DM):

I mean, you don't know. I mean, you don't know where the mayor's house is. He's just not around.

Nick (E'Louie):

He's not around. Okay.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah. I think we ought to get going, start gathering.

Nathan (Stump):

Sure.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay. Sweet.

Corey (DM):

So we said.

Nick (E'Louie):

All right. Let's do it. We're here to help. And so we all start gathering stuff up.

Nathan (Stump):

But do they have.

Nick (E'Louie):

Lee wants to kind of be on the lookout for the mayor. Yeah.

Corey (DM):

You keep your head on the swivel.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

You want to do.

Nathan (Stump):

Do they have any kind of, like, tools. Tools they're using to do this or.

Corey (DM):

They just have, like, some burlap sacks is what they have. I mean, some guys got, like, a wooden chest, you know? Yeah, I see some with a shovel.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

Stuff is like, okay, be careful not to clump. Only pile.

Corey (DM):

Isn't a clump in a pile basically the same thing? They're very different.

Nick (E'Louie):

We're going to pile up.

Lauren (EZ):

And then I raise a non existent drink.

Nick (E'Louie):

Elui quickly puts a mug in your hand and pours some beer in it. You're like, oh, confetti.

Corey (DM):

Confetti.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes. Yay.

Nick (E'Louie):

Pile it up.

Corey (DM):

Yes. All right, so are you all basically telling them and you're just gonna start,.

Nick (E'Louie):

Like, actively helping, kind of packing that stuff up, and then all the while, Eloise kind of looking out for the mayor to arrive so that he can help? Yeah. You know, so, yeah, you start.

Corey (DM):

Everyone starts, like, okay, starting to spread out throughout the streets and just start piling these bags full. You know, everyone's got about three quarters of the way full. You. You notice, like, this confetti packs really tight, like, as.

As big and bulky as it is. Like, once you kind of clump it, it gets really small. So, like, you. You really clump it, like getting a lot in there, you know?

And then, yeah, a Good, you know, 10 minutes goes by. Everyone's really just like, you're cleaning these streets. Like, you're seeing big areas happening. It's happening. Cleaning. Yes. Yeah.

And then while you're like, I'd say each person has their bag just about full from behind you. You, like. You three are kind of in the same area. You hear?

Nick (E'Louie):

You fools.

Corey (DM):

Oh, what are you doing?

Nick (E'Louie):

It's our boy again.

Nathan (Stump):

How'd you know that?

Nick (E'Louie):

Mr. Hutchison? Where'd you go?

Corey (DM):

He, like, drops his stick.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, boy.

Corey (DM):

I said not to clump it. We're what?

Nathan (Stump):

We're piloting. Well, no clumping.

Corey (DM):

He's like, oh, no. Oh, no.

Nick (E'Louie):

Dang it.

Corey (DM):

You are dealing with this yourself. And he turns around and starts to run.

And while he starts to run, you notice your bags start to, like, vibrate a little bit, and they, like, something's trying to get out of your bag.

Nathan (Stump):

I knew the clumping was gonna listen.

Nick (E'Louie):

To the crazy guy.

Corey (DM):

And so the minute like you all start to fill your bags, do you try to hold on to him? Are you gonna drop the bags?

Lauren (EZ):

What if there's a puppy in there?

Corey (DM):

Could be. I don't know, like, Stump freaks out.

Nathan (Stump):

And just like throws the bag. He's like, stop. Thought it was pyre.

Nick (E'Louie):

Eli, being as old as he is and recognizing there's all different kinds of magic out there, just kind of like, you know, wide eyed, just drops the bag and just starts sprinting out of town. And he said, just leaving us. Leave the bag. It's time to go now.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, I don't know if it warrants that kind of reaction. And I start looking through my bag.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so as you are looking through your bag and you drop your bag. And you drop your bag.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, yeah.

Corey (DM):

The bags begin to shake violently. And yours is like shaking violently in your hands while you're trying to like hold it.

And you just hear coming out of all the bags as these wisps come out and the trail of confetti is following them. They're like willow wisps, you know, cool.

And so like the trail of confetti follows them and the confetti like converges and forms what the wisp looks like. And they, there's like six of them flying around the town now.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, what is this?

Corey (DM):

And everyone that's awake starts to notice and notices the severity of what this is. And they're all just kind of like, you hear some screams, you hear some like, what is that?

As these wisps, the first one like smashes into the side of this house and it just busts a hole through it.

Lauren (EZ):

I, I'm really pissed that there was like instructions on and that was not included like in our instructions to not like clump it like, you know, from the dmv. From the dmv.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah. They're just like, go clean it up.

Lauren (EZ):

And they're just like, but be careful. They're sensitive.

Corey (DM):

But also remember, this is one of the first times that there's been this big of an explosion. No excuses.

Nathan (Stump):

The DMV has been sketchy.

Corey (DM):

That is true too.

Nathan (Stump):

I'm not surprised.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, yeah.

And so the other wisps that are kind of flying around, they're looking at the ones who are holding the bags or who did hold the bags, and they're like running from the area and they begin to float around and they just begin to dive bomb as we roll for initiative.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, snap.

Corey (DM):

Four.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, 14, good sir.

Corey (DM):

21 For.

Nick (E'Louie):

21 For. Yeah, 14 easy.

Corey (DM):

You said 21 for. Elui.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

Nice. 15 For stomp.

Corey (DM):

15 For stomp. And that was a 12 for the wisps. So we'll say. So the wisps coming down are gonna get their surprise attack.

Nick (E'Louie):

Angry little wisps.

Corey (DM):

And then we'll get into actual initiatives.

Nick (E'Louie):

You're an angry little dork dwarf.

Lauren (EZ):

That's it.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so you have one coming for each of you. Right?

Nick (E'Louie):

The.

Corey (DM):

I gotta move my notes here. Okay, so easy. First one's attacking you.

Lauren (EZ):

Why?

Corey (DM):

Oh, my gosh. That was. No, it was the eight tier ac.

Nick (E'Louie):

A whopping.

Corey (DM):

So you're able to like dive out of the way. Is this thing is.

Lauren (EZ):

Is sound nearby?

Corey (DM):

Cell is definitely nearby. Yeah.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, so I just like, like do that thing where I just like. I don't know. I don't know how to describe this flail.

Nick (E'Louie):

I. Yeah, I just kind of like damsel in distress.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes. No, not that I'm looking like holy.

Corey (DM):

Like.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes. I turn and my hair, you know, just like follows me. And then I look at him as the thing just goes past me and I have a. A glint in my eye.

Corey (DM):

I will say he does. That does catch his attention. All right, second one's coming for Eloi.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

Oh, that is a nat 20. Oh, no.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh.

Lauren (EZ):

Try flirting with the wisp. The wisp.

Nick (E'Louie):

What? Okay, what is the. Well, I guess you'll have to. Yeah.

Corey (DM):

So the wisp wisp is basically a ball of energy.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

So it is going to. Basically it's. It's called a force blast. It's gonna come and just like just pound compound you with this with its own ball of energy pounded.

And so that's gonna be 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 points of damage. So not a whole lot, but 8 points of damage. Are you gonna take it?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, I'm gonna take it.

Corey (DM):

I. But I think I have a projectile technically, so. Yeah.

Nick (E'Louie):

Right. So I have deflect attack. But it's all only on slashing, piercing, or bludgeoning. But not necessarily force damage.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, it's force. Sorry. At least this one's force. Yeah, cool.

Nick (E'Louie):

Course, eight damage. Yeah. Yep. Okay.

Corey (DM):

All right. Stump.

Lauren (EZ):

Oof. Oof.

Corey (DM):

17 Plus 4. 21.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Lauren (EZ):

Are you sure?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

All right, so same thing. This one's going to just force itself into you. 7, 8, 9. 9 Points of damage.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

All right. Now these whisper kind of floating everywhere. You see them, like, attacking other people. The other ones, they're kind of going down.

They're starting to destroy some of the houses. You hear the mayor come out. What is going on? And it is now Eloise, turn.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, my God.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah. So I'm going for the fairies. Right.

Lauren (EZ):

How do you hurt a wisps?

Corey (DM):

Wisp.

Lauren (EZ):

How do you. How do you. It's like harming the wind.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, they take a physical form. You hit the confetti. The confetti looking wisp.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

I mean, that's what I think you do.

Lauren (EZ):

We'll see.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay. Eat it.

Nathan (Stump):

Eat it.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, so. Yep, I'm going for the wisp.

Corey (DM):

Absolutely. With what? How are you hitting it?

Nick (E'Louie):

I'm hitting it with my hands.

Corey (DM):

All right. Or with.

Nick (E'Louie):

I'm gonna hit it with a bow staff.

Lauren (EZ):

It's clobbering time.

Nick (E'Louie):

And then also with my hands.

Nathan (Stump):

Do you need to take a drink?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

To get into.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

So.

Nick (E'Louie):

So he. So he's like. Oh, yeah, Y. Takes a huge swig, rings the gong. Rings the gong. And then, you know, hits with a 16.

Corey (DM):

That hits.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay. Rock and roll.

Corey (DM):

You smack it with your staff.

Nick (E'Louie):

Smack it with the staff.

Corey (DM):

You're able to, like, pinpoint it as it's, like, spinning around. You're like, smack.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, so I got. I get it. And then I've got a 1D 8/5. So we're gonna hit it with 9.

Corey (DM):

So it's gonna take half damage.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, man, these things are so wispy. Okay, half damage. Round down. So, yeah, four damage. Okay. Then I'm gonna really focus up and use my focus to hit with Fury of blows.

Corey (DM):

Oh, yeah.

Nick (E'Louie):

Two unarmed strikes. We're gonna hit. Oh, and that 20. Gosh.

Lauren (EZ):

Second one.

Corey (DM):

That's. Wow.

Lauren (EZ):

Nice, magical dice.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so remember what we're doing on net 20s. Your first roll is going to be full damage. Okay. Your second roll is going to be just a roll.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

And then you get to pick one effect that you want that makes sense to the story.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, snap. Okay, so on the damage, I rolled a six. No. Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Your first one will take full damage.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, so just on the dice or full damage with the. With the bonus modifier. Okay, so that'd be 11. Okay. And then the other one. Oh, sorry. Now, so that.

Corey (DM):

With the double damage, you know, since you rolled net 20. So now you'll roll your damage again. The first one's automatic full.

Nick (E'Louie):

Got it.

Corey (DM):

This one's, you're gonna roll 11 plus.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, a whopping one one.

Corey (DM):

And then now you're going to pick an effect that you want since you rolled a net 20.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, so does it destroy this thing or. No?

Corey (DM):

I will say you did cause enough. Well, hold on. It's half damage. So the 11 is now going to be a 5. Not quite dead yet.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah. Okay. So when I hit it, it's.

Corey (DM):

It's.

Nick (E'Louie):

It's in a constant state of reverberation. So it's just like.

Corey (DM):

So kind of staying still rather than trying to float around. Ye. Like it's vibrating, but like in. In spot.

Nick (E'Louie):

Right.

Corey (DM):

So it's kind of like you've got it where you want it situation.

Nick (E'Louie):

Exactly.

Corey (DM):

Cool.

Nick (E'Louie):

The other. The other one is because it's two unarmed strikes. So one was a 20. The other one was a 15.

Corey (DM):

That hits as well.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay. And then it's one D six plus five. So it's going to be seven.

Corey (DM):

That does hit, which takes half damage, but that was enough to kill the wisps.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, snap.

Corey (DM):

So. So when you see.

You like smack this thing several times, you know, with the staff, then you follow it up with your fists, you not get any ring its bell and you smack it again. And when you do, you just kind of see it pulses a little bit and you just see it explode. And more confetti, please.

Nick (E'Louie):

No more confetti.

Corey (DM):

The confetti does explode, but that confetti gets sucked right back into the explosion and goes away.

Nick (E'Louie):

No way.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. So it sucked in its own confetti into that explosion, but because it's a blast.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

When you killed it, you are going to have to make a dexterity saving throw.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, snap. Okay. D20. Yep. Yep.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

And. Oh, I rolled. That's freaking two twenties in this round.

Corey (DM):

Did you roll one?

Nathan (Stump):

And that one is.

Nick (E'Louie):

And now I rolled a one.

Nathan (Stump):

Sure.

Corey (DM):

So you can take full damage.

Lauren (EZ):

You're having an extreme, like, evening here. I blame the tornado.

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Nick (E'Louie):

Also, it's got to be the tornado's fault.

Nathan (Stump):

I would like to point out that Stump was right. All we had to do is just go smash. Smash the confetti.

Lauren (EZ):

You're right. Next time we're gonna listen to you and not.

Nick (E'Louie):

Why do we not just smash.

Corey (DM):

Seven points of explosion damage.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

Down to 20.

Corey (DM):

All right. Stump, are you gonna lay on the ground where you got exploded? Are you gonna go somewhere else Exploded?

Nick (E'Louie):

I'm gonna lay there and lick my wounds.

Corey (DM):

Okay. Stump, your. The wisps are right where you all are at, so you don't have to go anywhere. Yeah. They're within five feet of you.

Nathan (Stump):

I enter a rage.

Corey (DM):

Good boy.

Nathan (Stump):

The closest wisp I would like to attack recklessly against.

Corey (DM):

So you'll get advantage. But then they will get advantage against you.

Nathan (Stump):

Yes. And I also have frenzy if it hits.

Corey (DM):

Oh, yeah.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

All right. So Roll with advantage.

Nathan (Stump):

All right.

Nick (E'Louie):

O.

Nathan (Stump):

That's a two plus six. It's a eight.

Corey (DM):

But that's why you have advantage, so you can roll twice.

Nick (E'Louie):

Come on, baby.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, that's an 11.

Corey (DM):

11 Does not hit. I'm so sorry. Even with advantage, you swing. And these are just too zippy.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

You aren't able to connect.

Nathan (Stump):

Gotcha. All right.

Nick (E'Louie):

Swinging around.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. Do you want to do anything else? I mean, I guess you can't really do anything else. You can move, but they'll probably attack you if you move.

Nathan (Stump):

I don't have any bonus actions or anything yet. I don't think.

Corey (DM):

Well, you bonus action rage, so. But yeah, that's right.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, I don't have anything else I can do.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, yeah, you don't want to move because they'll have a type of opportunity.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, easy.

Nick (E'Louie):

Do them. Do them.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay. All right. So I don't really know if this would be of any use. I'll try. I'll try my hand at the great sword at this wisp.

Nathan (Stump):

Cleave these mofos.

Lauren (EZ):

There's a lot of them straight cleave. So. Okay. And. Oh, and then I have War Bond weapon like thing that I can add. So if I hit, I gotta remember.

Corey (DM):

To add your proficiency. Yeah.

Lauren (EZ):

Add plus two damage. Is that too? Oh, shoot.

Corey (DM):

Just a damage.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, it's to the damage. Okay. Rock on. Let's see. Okay, so I got a dirty 20 that the hits. Okay, and so now. Oh, gosh. Okay, now 2D6.

Corey (DM):

Oh, seriously, go double ones.

Nick (E'Louie):

Snake eyes looking.

Lauren (EZ):

So double ones plus plus four plus two.

Nick (E'Louie):

But you have any one goes to three. Great weapon fighting. One or two is actually a three.

Corey (DM):

Oh, I didn't see that on your sheet.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, but I could be crazy. I. Maybe I read something early. This was when I had your sheet and I had to play easy.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

Oh, it might be on it.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

I didn't see it.

Lauren (EZ):

Great weapon fighting. When you roll damage for an attack with an Amelie weapon and you're holding with two hands, you can treat any one or two on the damage.

Die as a three.

Corey (DM):

Six, seven, eight, nine, ten. So that's 12 points of damage.

Lauren (EZ):

I'm so thankful that you know my character best. Better than I know my character.

Corey (DM):

And it takes half damage, so it only takes six of that. 12.

Nick (E'Louie):

Big swinging sword, half damage.

Lauren (EZ):

And I would like to.

Corey (DM):

You also notice, like, when you hit this thing with your sword, there is like a clink sound when you hit it. And it doesn't feel like you're putting enough pressure when you hit with it.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

And you have a great sword, right?

Lauren (EZ):

I do.

Nathan (Stump):

Doesn't that do the cleave thing if you miss? Oh, it's only if you miss.

Lauren (EZ):

I'm trying to see this.

Nick (E'Louie):

Then you hit. That's funny.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah, I'm trying to see if I have. Oh, okay. I. I was seeing if any of my superiority dice could add anything to that, but it does not. So I am pleased and I hope Sal saw it all.

Corey (DM):

Oh, Sal.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh.

Nick (E'Louie):

We're all concerned about our lives for these fairies. And easy.

Corey (DM):

I'm just absolutely.

Nick (E'Louie):

Or wisps. And easiest concern about. So.

Corey (DM):

All right this time. Okay, you see that? The one. So one exploded above you. Eloi exploded. It's gone.

Another one takes its place, and it's flying above you, and it's going to make a ranged attack. You see it. It shoots this smaller ball of confetti at you.

So you see, like, it's, you know, all this confetti is floating around it, always, always moving, and a little bit breaks off and spins around it almost like Saturn's ring, and then shoots at you. And it's going to make a range spell attack. 13 +4.17 If it meets it beats it.

Nick (E'Louie):

I'm getting hit.

Corey (DM):

That's 12 points of damage. Okay, 3D6. That's a pretty big roll.

Nick (E'Louie):

So. But this would be either bludgeoning, piercing, seeing, or slashing.

Corey (DM):

This is necrotic damage.

Lauren (EZ):

Dang.

Nick (E'Louie):

I was so excited.

Corey (DM):

You know what? I wasn't supposed to say it was physical. Like, look, I completely forgot. It's supposed to be, like, almost like its own little, like, spiritual wisp.

But since it's covered in, like, confetti, it's more physical. Now I will allow you to use the deflect. The deflect.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

So 12. Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Yep.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, so on my deflect damage, it's a 1d10 and 1d10 plus 9. So as it's coming in, Snikey's 9. 10. Oh, it's only 11.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so you're saying one point of damage.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yep. So, yeah, as it comes in, I try to deflect it, but it still hits me a little bit. So I take one more point of damage.

Corey (DM):

All right? And you see one is going after sale.

Nathan (Stump):

Of course.

Corey (DM):

I roll a nat 20 against.

Lauren (EZ):

Can.

Nick (E'Louie):

I, like, don't kill cell.

Lauren (EZ):

Can I jump in front?

Corey (DM):

So here's the thing. You can, but you will also get an opportunity attack taken against you from the wisp that's right there.

So you would get an opportunity attack against you and you'll get hit with the double net 20 damage.

Lauren (EZ):

But if I live, he like really owes me. That's the thing.

Nick (E'Louie):

If you live,.

Nathan (Stump):

Imagine it's you go down and Sal resuscitates you.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah, I just.

Corey (DM):

If you want to do this, you're totally fine with doing an epic move.

Lauren (EZ):

End in a booty call of some kind. Yeah, perhaps. Okay, I'm doing it. It makes for good podcast.

Corey (DM):

So let's do this. You're doing this.

Lauren (EZ):

I'm doing this.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so first thing we're going to do is he's going to take the opportunity attack against you because you leave the five foot radius.

Lauren (EZ):

Yep, that's fine.

Corey (DM):

That is a nine plus four. No, that is not here. Okay, so you escape, he misses. And so yeah, you. This fully like weighted down.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

Jumping up to block has this charge comes to hit. You are going to take. Oh, I forgot what I was rolling for. Oh yeah, it's 3D6 twice. So I need.

Nick (E'Louie):

Here it comes.

Corey (DM):

60. You're taking 6D6 of damage. Just so you know. Okay, that's 4 and 12.

Nick (E'Louie):

18. Yeah.

Corey (DM):

So 18 points of damage.

Lauren (EZ):

I'm gonna. So I am gonna use one of my dice. My. My superiority dice.

Corey (DM):

But before you do, I will say this happens. So the, the.

The force from this little creature comes, you know, this wisp, it, as it hits your metal armor, you see, it goes and actually reflects back as it turns to light because there was like this trail following it and as it hits it, it reflects that light right back.

Lauren (EZ):

I'm pure of heart.

Corey (DM):

Because you're wearing metal. Oh, well.

Nick (E'Louie):

Or metal. Yeah, Armor.

Corey (DM):

And you notice that you expect this.

You expect this giant like force to hit you, but you actually don't really feel much of anything as it bounces off your armor and goes back to this wisp. And I am. So you see that, that wisp just gets destroyed and then it begins to suck in a lot of confetti and explodes.

So I'll still need you to make a dexterity saving throw because of that.

Lauren (EZ):

You got it, baby.

Nathan (Stump):

Do you have anything metal?

Nick (E'Louie):

No, no, no, no. Eloise is a straight up mom.

Lauren (EZ):

I am. I am a genius.

Nathan (Stump):

I think you're the only one with.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, you got leather, I got cloth.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, I'm.

Nick (E'Louie):

And you got a leather.

Nathan (Stump):

Well, I've got a great ass or whatever.

Lauren (EZ):

I rolled a 17.

Nick (E'Louie):

Nice.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so you'll just take half the damage. Let's do one is six. So three points of damage.

Lauren (EZ):

I will take it. Three points of damage.

Corey (DM):

Damage for Love. Okay, so next in the order. So that was the wisps turn right. So we're going back to the top of the order for Eloise.

But first you see Sal get up and he's like, easy, easy. Are you okay?

Lauren (EZ):

Ah, I. I'm like. I'm like, oh. Like, I'm thinking, like, how. How forward do I want to be? Do I want to be like, oh, yes, my love. I'm okay, but I'm like.

And then I just kind of start stuttering, and I'm like, I'm good. And then I give a thumbs up, and I'm like, oh, no.

Corey (DM):

All right, so that happens. And then, Eloise, that thing goes down, you stand up, and you notice that the other wisps are starting to gather more and more confetti around them.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

There's about four wisps left.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

They're starting to grow more and more confetti. So all the confetti that was, like, on the ground and stuff is actually starting to combine with these wisps. You see, the mayor is out going.

Lauren (EZ):

Like, my confetti, my money, my money, my business plan.

Corey (DM):

Ellie, what do you do?

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, so there's about four WISPs less, and I am. And we're. How close am I?

Corey (DM):

The other one's about 10ft above you.

Nick (E'Louie):

They're about 10ft. Okay.

Corey (DM):

Least one is. The other ones are about, you know, 30ft, 20ft. Okay. One's by stump.

Nick (E'Louie):

I think that Eloise saw that metal is. Is really well used against these things.

Okay, so what's gonna happen is Elui is going to run toward the wisp, unhook the war gong lid off of his back, and slap the next wisp with their gong in his hand and use it, like, as a. Like, as a weapon.

Corey (DM):

Smack him?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, as a smacking weapon. I would like a smack. A metal smack down.

Lauren (EZ):

Sound effect.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yep. Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Okay, Roll to hit.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, come on. Please hit something. Here am I. Do I have inspiration?

Corey (DM):

You do not.

Nick (E'Louie):

It's a 10.

Corey (DM):

Does not hit.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh.

Corey (DM):

But what you do notice, like, you hit it, like, even though I will say, like, you still graze this thing, but even the metal, like, barely smacking this thing, like, metal didn't really seem to do much to it.

Nick (E'Louie):

Ah, interesting. Maybe it's armor.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, maybe.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yep. And then I think kind of jobs back down, and he's like,.

Lauren (EZ):

I. Is there anything I can, like, take off of me to, like, maybe assist or hand over?

Corey (DM):

I mean, you have, like, your gloves on your. That you could, like, take Off.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Your gauntlets. Thank you.

Nick (E'Louie):

Take off a boot.

Corey (DM):

Maybe a boot. But yeah. Like any of the main armor is gonna take a while to take off. But stump is up.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay. I would like to. Am I close enough that I could. Easy. Are you like on the ground right now?

Corey (DM):

Yeah, Sal is.

Nathan (Stump):

I would like to.

Lauren (EZ):

What's cell doing?

Nathan (Stump):

If I can. I'd like to run over to her. Easy is and take an attack of opportunity from the wisp that's near me. And I would like to use.

Corey (DM):

You can try to reduce the damage.

Nathan (Stump):

Endurance to reduce the damage.

Corey (DM):

Remember it does get advantage against you so.

Nathan (Stump):

Yes it does.

Corey (DM):

First roll is 8 which is not good.

Lauren (EZ):

I haven't taken a lot of damage.

Nathan (Stump):

I have an idea.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, okay.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, he's the one be taking damage here.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, okay.

Corey (DM):

Oh, Nat 20 man. I am borrowing these dice and I am rolling 20s. Oh baby.

Nathan (Stump):

This is crazy.

Corey (DM):

All right, so it's 3D6 again. No, this is not 3D6. This is a melee attack from it. It's a force attack, not its ranged attacks.

Lauren (EZ):

You'll be okay, buddy.

Corey (DM):

You're only going to take 2d6 of damage from this.

Nathan (Stump):

And because I'm raging, don't I take half?

Corey (DM):

Is that true if it was physical damage?

Nathan (Stump):

Oh yeah. It's not physical.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay. Yeah.

Corey (DM):

So then it's going to be seven points that you will take of damage.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay. I'm gonna do the stones endurance.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

So it's 1d12 plus 3. So that's 13.

Corey (DM):

Oh yeah. So you don't take any damage.

Nathan (Stump):

All right, awesome. And then I want to go over to easy and I'm gonna grab Easy's legs and brandish Easy.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

Like a big club.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

If you will. Like an easy club Club.

Lauren (EZ):

An easy club.

Nathan (Stump):

And Stump says Stump. See the wisp bounce off of you. So you okay with this?

Lauren (EZ):

I don't know.

Nathan (Stump):

Don't care.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah, I was like I don't have a choice. Are there.

Corey (DM):

There's a wisp right above any wisps cells right there. So there's one above. Yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

I would like to attack that wisp with easy.

Corey (DM):

Go for it as a club sub.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. You're gonna roll your D20 and you're gonna add your strength bonus plus your proficiency bonus.

Nick (E'Louie):

Dang.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, so that's plus four and my.

Corey (DM):

Proficiency should be two because I think level. Yeah. So it'll be plus six.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay. So that would be a 24.

Corey (DM):

That definitely hits.

Nathan (Stump):

Fantastic.

Corey (DM):

Roll some damage. Let's see. It's D8 damage for great clubs.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yep.

Nathan (Stump):

So D8 plus D8 plus 4.

Corey (DM):

That's your strength.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, that's an 8.

Corey (DM):

8 Plus 4. Or is that just 8 total?

Nathan (Stump):

4 Plus 4.

Nick (E'Louie):

8.

Corey (DM):

Gotcha. So it's gonna take four points of damage.

Nathan (Stump):

Sweet.

Corey (DM):

As you hit, as you swing easy around. You do hear a dunk against it, but it only takes half damage.

Nathan (Stump):

All right, so it didn't do the thing.

Nick (E'Louie):

What happened?

Nathan (Stump):

Is it because you're pure of heart?

Nick (E'Louie):

Because you're pure of heart.

Corey (DM):

I didn't put it out, Remember?

Nathan (Stump):

You're definitely not pure.

Corey (DM):

The wisp wasn't the one. The wisp didn't do the force attack against Easy.

Nick (E'Louie):

Against the thing that.

Corey (DM):

That the. The wisp shot the projectile.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, okay.

Corey (DM):

And the projectile got bounced, ricocheted back, and reflected back because of the metal.

Nathan (Stump):

Does Sal think any of this is cool?

Corey (DM):

Oh, yeah. He thought it was pretty awesome. He was a little worried about easy, but he was also, like, worried about me.

But as you're kind of on the ground, he looks at you, he's like, that was really cool, man.

Nick (E'Louie):

He starts dancing.

Corey (DM):

He's like, oh.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, yeah. This is awesome. Oh, yeah.

Corey (DM):

All right. Easy. You were up.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay. I'm like, put me down.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, of course. This didn't go with the way st. Thoughts?

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, here you go. I'm like, so his turn is over. So what I'm going to say. Well, it's. It's over, but I'm surprised I didn't take any damage from that. Okay. Wonderful.

Yeah, yeah. So, okay, well, so I don't super understand, but I will do what I.

Nick (E'Louie):

Do best and swing a giant sword.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes, indeed. So, okay, so that's. That's what I be doing. Okay, let's see what you do be doing. Oh, goodness. So that. That did not that. Okay, so that was a 10.

Is there anything I can do? Let me see here on. There's something if I. Oh, I can use a superiority dice, I think, with this.

So when you miss an attack roll, you can spend one superiority dice to add to that attack roll.

Corey (DM):

There you go.

Lauren (EZ):

So, okay, so my superiority dice is a D8, right? Is a D8.8. Yes. So which is this guy?

Nick (E'Louie):

Say you.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay.

Lauren (EZ):

So, okay, So I add plus five to it.

Corey (DM):

So what's the total?

Lauren (EZ):

So it's a 15 that hits. Oh, yeah. So, okay. Oh, my gosh.

Nick (E'Louie):

How do you do that?

Lauren (EZ):

Two ones again.

Corey (DM):

So that's three and three.

Lauren (EZ):

Now that's really freaking weird. Three and three plus four plus two.

Corey (DM):

12, Right?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah,.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. So that one had already taken damage. So with that extra six damage, this one begins to do the same thing. It's like, sucks in all this confetti.

Nick (E'Louie):

Around it in that confetti.

Corey (DM):

And boom. And I need Stump easy and Sal to make a dexterity saving throw.

Nathan (Stump):

I have advantage.

Lauren (EZ):

You do.

Corey (DM):

Sal rolled a one.

Nathan (Stump):

One.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, no.

Lauren (EZ):

My baby rolled an 18.

Corey (DM):

18. You'll take half damage.

Nick (E'Louie):

And then you rolled a 15.

Nathan (Stump):

15. And I got proficient.

Corey (DM):

Oh, yeah, you're definitely going to take half damage. So Sal's taking full. You two are taking half.

Lauren (EZ):

Yikes.

Corey (DM):

That is six.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay. Yeah. 17 For stump.

Corey (DM):

So 13 points of damage to Sal, and then you two will take six and six.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

Sal is not looking good.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, yeah, you better get in there. Easy.

Lauren (EZ):

I'm trying.

Corey (DM):

It is now the wisps turn.

Nick (E'Louie):

Bring it on, Whispers.

Corey (DM):

So it's just a couple WISPS left and 3, 2, 3 left.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, my goodness.

Nick (E'Louie):

We can do this.

Corey (DM):

Because that was those four left, and you just killed that one. So there's three left. They. They start to spin. Like, those times are, like flying around, you know, up there, because you guys broke off the.

Nick (E'Louie):

The.

Corey (DM):

The distance. So now they're not getting opportunity tax because now they're all on their own as they're flying around.

And then they begin to, like, make their descents. And then all of a sudden, you just see this blast come out of nowhere. This energy blast.

You see it smack one of them, and it just begins as it hits that one. It just instead of, like, taking time to, like, grow it, this time it just boom, explodes as it hits this wisp.

And you see it, like, confetti flies everywhere from it. But then all that confetti comes right back in, you know, and it sucks that confetti back out. And as you look to see where that blast came from.

Nick (E'Louie):

That's my boy.

Corey (DM):

You see Hutchinson, and he's like. He's. He's wearing all his leaves and stuff on his head, and he's got. You see him holding that dog toy, and he's, like, pointing it like that.

And like a wand, he's like, I told you not to clump. How many times did I tell you?

Nathan (Stump):

We thought this was pile.

Lauren (EZ):

Hashtag, don't clump.

Corey (DM):

He's like, this could have been so much worse. And then the other two wisps begin to just fly around. Kind of sporadic, not knowing what to do. So, Eloi, we're gonna go back up to you.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay? Bring it. Oh, okay. All right.

Corey (DM):

Yep.

Nick (E'Louie):

All right.

Corey (DM):

Yep.

Nick (E'Louie):

So here we go.

Nathan (Stump):

So there's one wisp left.

Nick (E'Louie):

Golly. Seven is 11, which won't hit. But I did read my situation here, which I should have known I can. 11 Won't hit.

Corey (DM):

Right.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

14, I believe, is our armor class.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay. And so. But I can still use a focus point to do Fury of Blows, whether hit or not.

Corey (DM):

Perfect. You just. Yeah. You're just losing a focus point. Yep. So I'll do Fury of Blows, which.

Nick (E'Louie):

Is two unarmed strikes from that just going in to punch.

Corey (DM):

Wow.

Nick (E'Louie):

8 And 7.

Lauren (EZ):

15.

Nick (E'Louie):

The other one's a two. So it's a nine.

Corey (DM):

So 15.

Nick (E'Louie):

I'll hit one.

Corey (DM):

It 15 will. Yes.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay, so we'll do a 15 and then plus nine. Ah, sorry. Plus five on four is nine. So nine.

Corey (DM):

Okay. Yeah, you kind of. This whis was coming down. You kind of make your way up with your fists.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

You notice this feels different than the last time.

Lauren (EZ):

Time.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh.

Corey (DM):

Like you're hitting, like. Almost feels fleshy this time instead of, like, resistance. Okay.

Whatever this blast did from your boy Hutchinson, it also messed these two up a little bit.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. And so, like, you're punching these guys, and as you get that last punch from your flurry of blows.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

You see it begin to just shake and get big, and it just sucks all the confetti in again.

Nick (E'Louie):

There it is.

Corey (DM):

And you just implosion. And of course, since you're next to it, I need a dexterity saving throw.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, of course, of course, of course. Yeah. No, that's not hard. That's gonna be a 16.

Corey (DM):

That makes it so you will just take cuff damage.

Lauren (EZ):

Oops, wrong guys. Good job, buddy.

Corey (DM):

So nine plus five. 19, 11, 15. So what is that? Seven points of damage?

Nick (E'Louie):

Seven. Yeah. Yep.

Corey (DM):

Stump, you are up. All right, last wisp.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah. I would like to attack the wisp.

Corey (DM):

You also notice that, like, almost all the confetti is gone.

Nathan (Stump):

Awesome.

Corey (DM):

Hey, as they. As they almost all.

Nathan (Stump):

Let's just go home. No, I'm gonna recklessly again. Okay. Wait. I can only do that on my first attack.

Corey (DM):

First attack of your turn.

Nathan (Stump):

The turn. Okay. All right.

Lauren (EZ):

All right.

Nathan (Stump):

I'm gonna do that.

Nick (E'Louie):

That. Come on, babies. Yeah, that'll do it. That'll do it.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, so I got a 16.

Corey (DM):

Yes. That is six.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah. Oh, yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

All right. Oh, yeah. And I'm going to roll damage.

Corey (DM):

I would prefer you roll damage. Yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

All right.

Lauren (EZ):

Where's that Roll that beautiful damage.

Nathan (Stump):

Thirteen.

Corey (DM):

Thirteen. Yeah. As you. You're doing great. What do you have? X.

Nathan (Stump):

Great X.

Corey (DM):

Great. X, Y. Yeah.

Nick (E'Louie):

You go up.

Corey (DM):

Why don't you explain how you destroy this last. Last confetti.

Nathan (Stump):

Whis Wispy Stump goes up to the wisp, and he looks at s and he says, imagine if I was easy. And then he hits the wisp as.

Corey (DM):

Hard as he can. That's awesome. Yeah. And as your axe goes through it, really appreciate that this time it doesn't, like, start to implode.

This time as you hit just all at once. And everybody is gonna have to make a dexterity saving.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, snap. 23 For me.

Nathan (Stump):

I got a 14.

Lauren (EZ):

I'm trying to see if I.

Corey (DM):

14 Does not make this one.

Nathan (Stump):

Whoa.

Lauren (EZ):

I'm trying to see if I can.

Nathan (Stump):

You're add anything a little worse for wear, Eloie. I hope you'll be okay.

Corey (DM):

12.

Nick (E'Louie):

But I did roll a 23 on this bad boy.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, never mind. You should be good.

Nick (E'Louie):

I think I'm okay, man. That'd be a.

Corey (DM):

What'd you roll? Easy.

Lauren (EZ):

I'm trying to see if there's anything I can add to this.

Nick (E'Louie):

Sorry.

Corey (DM):

What'd you roll again, nick? I'm sorry.

Nick (E'Louie):

23 For me.

Corey (DM):

23. Okay. You'll take half.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, so I rolled a 12, but I have tactical mind, so is this an ability check?

Corey (DM):

This is a saving throw.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

So I can't use that. Okay, so Stump and Easy will take full damage. Sal and yeah, Eloi will take half damage, and a lot of the villagers here will take full damage.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, the poor villagers.

Corey (DM):

So 5 plus 4 plus 7.

Lauren (EZ):

My. My boy's gonna.

Corey (DM):

16 Points of damage to you two over there.

Lauren (EZ):

He's gonna die.

Corey (DM):

8.

Lauren (EZ):

And my heart is broken.

Corey (DM):

8 Points of damage to Sal and Eloi. Sal is not dead, but hurting very, very bad.

Nick (E'Louie):

Four.

Lauren (EZ):

I'm at 13.

Nathan (Stump):

I am at 14.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, these wisps or wispy.

Corey (DM):

They are wispy, but that was the last one. That was the last one. And you notice that, like. Like as that one exploded, everything kind of gets up.

I mean, this town is now a little bit worse for wear. A lot of the buildings have been kind of flat from these. Part of your orders were to not cause a lot of commotion.

Lauren (EZ):

Well, maybe they. Well, that's not our freaking.

Corey (DM):

But, yeah. I mean, the mayor is freaking out. He's wandering around. He's actually more so checking on his place, you know, checking things.

A lot of people are, like, freaking out out checking their buildings. A lot of stuff has fallen over. A lot of damage everywhere. But, yeah, as you all get up, you notice, like, there is no confetti anywhere to be found.

It has all Been sucked back up.

Lauren (EZ):

Perfect job, perfect.

Nick (E'Louie):

Didn't anything wrong.

Lauren (EZ):

Plus, and I found a husband. I go to his aid, maybe.

Corey (DM):

So, yeah, you're kind of checking on your. Your, Your bow who is injured. Maybe you're like, helping wrap some of the injury, the burns and stuff from all this.

The rest of you are kind of like Eloise, like, checking, you know yourself because you've taken a lot of damage. You're a bit worse for wear. Stump is a little bit like, hey, I did this. You know, maybe like celebrating a little bit. You got rid of it all.

And then you see from behind you, you see Hutchinson coming in with his cane and he's like, well, did you learn a lesson?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yes.

Nathan (Stump):

Pile and clump, same thing.

Corey (DM):

Yes, they are. He's like, what? He looks up to the sky again. He said, I told him. They didn't listen. Yeah, I know. All right, I'll tell them one more time.

Don't forget to wear your socks.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, Stump lose sock.

Corey (DM):

And also seek out the wizards. They know the answer to what's going on with these volcanoes.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes, sir.

Nathan (Stump):

Are you a wizard?

Nick (E'Louie):

Thank you very much.

Corey (DM):

And as you ask him that, he just, like, doesn't really answer. He just kind of looks at you all and says, says, I think my time here is done. Ain't much of a town anymore.

Looks like I gotta find somewhere else to go. He turns around, just kind of starts, you know, walking away. He's like, wait a minute. He, like, reaches into his jacket, fiddles around.

He, like, flicks to E and easy, Eloise and easy. You have these, like, little miniature versions of yourself. Oh, that passes to you all.

Lauren (EZ):

Thank you, sir.

Corey (DM):

And then he begins to walk away.

Nick (E'Louie):

All the best to you.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, yeah. And then you hear, I think, eli, did you have the speaking stone that Finch gave you?

Nick (E'Louie):

I did, yeah.

Corey (DM):

So while you all are kind of like, you know, discussing things and, like, why is this wizard guy being so crazy and everything, you start to feel the. The stone vibrate.

Nick (E'Louie):

O. Okay, so pull it out and hold it up.

Corey (DM):

Yep.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

You're supposed to hold it up near your head. And as you do that, you hear here, who's this? It's Finch. Who, who's on the other end? Finch.

Nick (E'Louie):

It's El. Good.

Corey (DM):

Okay. I was hoping you were the one that. That answered. Sorry, Stump's just a little hard to talk to sometimes.

Nathan (Stump):

Is that Finch?

Corey (DM):

It is, yeah. Tell him I say hello, Finches.

Nick (E'Louie):

Hello.

Corey (DM):

Listen, listen, I know you all are probably in the middle of a job.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, by the way, how's that job going fantastic. We just completed all the cleanup.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, great.

Corey (DM):

Good, because. So all the confetti's gone.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah, the confetti is great.

Corey (DM):

Listen, well, we've got some. We got some interesting situation going on, I think.

Okay, so the volcanoes were supposed to really be doing that, and this is way bigger, and there's a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes. Okay, listen, there's a lot of stuff going behind the scenes, and we think it has to do something with the Wizards union.

A lot of them have gone on strike, and since that's happened, the volcanoes are going a little bit more crazy. Things are starting to happen around Sandeo. I don't know what it is, but, look, we need a team to go help. Can you all just come back to the dmv?

We need a chat. We don't have any other teams right now that can go out and check this. And you all have been doing so good.

Hey, if you completed this one good job, you're officially going to be Clerks. I can get you signed up, get you clerk badges, and then you can go figure this out for us. We need somebody to go check out the Wizards unit.

Just come back to dmv. We'll get you hooked up. Something crazy is going on.

Nick (E'Louie):

Sounds wonderful. We'll get back as soon as we can.

Nathan (Stump):

What he say?

Nick (E'Louie):

You.

Nathan (Stump):

You tell him Stump say hi.

Corey (DM):

Stump says, hello, Gotta go. And then the phone hangs up.

Nick (E'Louie):

The stone's not.

Corey (DM):

The stone hangs up.

Nick (E'Louie):

Anymore. But I told him, yeah, there's a.

Nathan (Stump):

Dial tone for some reason,.

Corey (DM):

But yeah, see, are left with the. You are left caring for Sal, and the Hutchinson left telling you a bunch of crazy theories. Some obviously is true, some maybe not. You don't know.

You have to figure that on your own.

And you now get a distress call from Finch saying, hey, something's going on with the Wizards, which also kind of matches up with Hutchinson saying, seek out the Wizards. They may be tied together. You don't know.

But basically, Finch is calling you back to the DMV to help out with something that apparently is crazy happening that probably caused this tornado or this volcano mess. I'm still thinking of tornado earlier, but something that causes volcano mess. And so, good luck, everybody. Quest happens is Nick Jackson as Eloi.

Lauren Keller as Esmeralda Fitz Monster. Nathan Guidry as Stump. And I am your dungeon master, Corey Keller.

Catch us every other Thursday as a new episode drops and we'll see you in the next adventure.

Nathan (Stump):

It's pretty much anything in there. Everclear and Hawaiian Punch.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, you guys, there's an imminent threat alert. Imminent threat? Tornado warning.

Corey (DM):

Do we really have a tornado warning?

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, my gosh.

Corey (DM):

We're in the middle of a tornado warning. Keep this in the episode if we're gonna stop.

Nick (E'Louie):

Come on, baby.

Corey (DM):

Oh, we're not stopping.
