For some, Father's Day is a very joyous occasion. They get to spend time with their father, their grandfather, their uncles, and they get to celebrate them and fill them with love and gifts and so much. For others, Father's Day is a very complex day. It's a day where

our earthly father may no longer be here. It's a day where our earthly father may not even acknowledge us. It's a day where our earthly father may have caused us physical, emotional, or verbal pain. So on this Father's Day, what I want to tell each and every one of you,

as that although your father may have not been there, although your father may have forsaken you, although your father may not have loved you in the way that you needed to be loved. Remember, when your mother or father forsake you, God will always take you. 2 Corinthians 6 verses 18 says, and I will be a father to you.

and you will be my sons and daughters says the Lord Almighty. So even if your earthly father has not been here, even if your earthly father has done something to hurt you to the core, our heavenly father, our heavenly father will always cover us. He will always be there with a comforting hand. He will always lead us and guide us.

and he will never ever forsake us. So on this Father's Day, whether you have the opportunity to celebrate with your father or celebrate your brothers or your uncles or your grandfather or not, I ask you to have compassion on those who don't have an earthly father.

have compassion on those who may be hurting because their father recently passed away. I had a friend and on Mother's Day,

He told me Mother's Day is really difficult for him because his mother passed away four years ago. And so I had to show him compassion because yes, I'm a mother and yes, I want to be celebrated by my friends and those around me, but he was struggling. And so it wasn't my job to...

Heal his pain. It wasn't my job to make him feel better. It's my job to have compassion. I have another friend who her father passed away two years ago and on Father's Day she completely disconnects from all social media. She puts her phone on do not disturb because seeing people with their fathers hearing these messages is difficult for her.

So I have to have compassion to where she is right now. And so again, it is our job to be compassionate to those who may have lost their father on Father's Day. It is our job to be compassionate to those who may have never had a relationship with their father. And so they sit in the pain each and every day wishing they could say happy Father's Day to someone.

wishing they had someone to celebrate. And remember, if your earthly father is out of reach, if your earthly father is not around, our heavenly father is holding you in his hand. Our heavenly father is right there with you, beside you, wiping your tears away, giving you the strength that you need in those difficult times.

He's there with you. So today I ask, I compel to give yourself grace for wherever you are on your journey, to give yourself time to heal if you need to heal. And for those of you celebrating with your fathers today, celebrate them, give them their.

words of affirmation and their accolades while they are still with you and you are able to celebrate them. Love on them. Be with them.
