When the world is feeling like too much,

Speaker:

you have permission to do what

you need to do to care for your

Speaker:

unique, powerful, and

potently healing energy.

Speaker:

Hello and welcome back to

Remember Why You Are Here,

Speaker:

a podcast for seekers and sensitives

where you can relax, receive,

Speaker:

reconnect to yourself,

Speaker:

and remember the most important

thing of all-why you're here.

Speaker:

I'm Asia Suler and I wanted

to do something a little

Speaker:

different for this episode.

I don't know about you,

Speaker:

but I feel lately like

the world is too much.

Speaker:

This is a really common thing

to feel when you are a sensitive

Speaker:

person.

Speaker:

Our nervous systems were not designed

for the worlds that we live in.

Speaker:

None of our nervous systems

were, but if you are sensitive,

Speaker:

then your nervous system especially

was not designed for this world with

Speaker:

such an overwhelming amount

of communication, information,

Speaker:

news stories coming in

from around the world...

Speaker:

There can often be this feeling of

Speaker:

overwhelm and helplessness

when we tune into just the

Speaker:

vastness,

Speaker:

the bigness of all of the

inputs that are here. And so

Speaker:

for today's podcast,

Speaker:

I wanted to revisit a video that

I had made on my YouTube channel

Speaker:

because the four tools that I share

in this broadcast are the things that

Speaker:

I still come back to all the time

when I start to feel overwhelmed and

Speaker:

confused.

Speaker:

And it's really common when you feel

this sense of too muchness to also then

just forget:

What do I do? What do I do when I feel this way?

just forget:

Because I'm too overwhelmed

to even access those tools.

just forget:

I literally have a folder on my phone

just forget:

where the title is,

just forget:

"What to Do when You Feel Lost," because

when I feel lost or overwhelmed or like

just forget:

things are too much, I forget.

just forget:

And so I wanted to put this

recording here on the podcast in case

just forget:

you too needed to remember.

I also wanted to

just forget:

repost this today because I

am super busy at the moment

just forget:

getting ready for Earth Angel

School, which is starting tomorrow,

just forget:

April 23rd. I'm so excited about this.

just forget:

Earth Angel School is an 11-week

spiritual school for my fellow sensitives.

just forget:

The school was designed to support

you as a sensitive person to

just forget:

really step into the true

depths of your mission in this

just forget:

life, to really understand yourself,

just forget:

on an emotional, physical,

just forget:

spiritual level-to really see the gifts

that you came into this life carrying.

just forget:

The school was designed to help support

all my fellow sensitives to stop having

just forget:

energy flow endlessly out of you so you

can use that energy to really build a

just forget:

life of your dreams,

just forget:

to understand the true nature of who

you are and your spiritual gifts,

just forget:

to reconnect to your soul's

mission on this planet,

just forget:

learn how to receive direct guidance and

support from your spiritual guides-this

just forget:

is really important and so helpful.

In the school,

just forget:

we also explore how to channel information

directly so you can make the right

just forget:

decisions for yourself,

just forget:

how to create relationships that feel

balance and nurturing for your deepest

just forget:

self. Relationships are such a

big topic for sensitive people,

just forget:

and there's a way to be in them

that feels really nourishing and

just forget:

good. We'll also really address how

to shift your focus away from always

just forget:

creating harmony for others, to

creating a heaven in your own life,

just forget:

to stop giving away your lifeforce so

you can use it to heal yourself and this

just forget:

world. Because that's really

what it comes down to:

just forget:

your life force is a

healing force in this world.

just forget:

Your life force is here to

make big impact and big change,

just forget:

and you doing what you need

to do to conserve and care for

just forget:

and understand your own energy

and life force is really your task

just forget:

as a sensitive person in this life.

And if nothing else in this episode,

just forget:

I really want to give you

permission to do that;

just forget:

when the world is feeling like too much,

just forget:

you have permission to do what

you need to do to care for your

just forget:

unique, powerful,

just forget:

and potently healing energy. So if you're

interested in Earth Angel School and

just forget:

you're listening to this before we

close the gateway on April 23rd,

just forget:

then definitely go and

check out all the details at

just forget:

AsiaSuler.com/EarthAngelSchool.

just forget:

I would absolutely love to

see you there. So with that,

just forget:

let's get into today's episode and explore

the four tools that are here to help

just forget:

you when the world simply

feels like it's too much.

just forget:

This video is for all

my fellow sensitives and

just forget:

empaths out there, because let's be real,

just forget:

being in this world sometimes

can feel really hard.

just forget:

I know that I've struggled at times

with just the intensity of being on this

just forget:

earth at this time. I'm Asia Suler writer,

just forget:

teacher earth intuitive, and

author of Mirrors in the Earth,

just forget:

and this video is a guide to four

steps to take as a sensitive and

just forget:

empath so you can thrive in this world.

just forget:

I use these four steps all the

time to help take care of my

just forget:

sensitivity and to feel like I really

have a place where I can shine in this

just forget:

world, where I feel protected,

safe, grounded, and alive.

just forget:

So you can do these steps along with me

now or listen and try them at another

just forget:

time.

Step one is to curate your

just forget:

consciousness. As a sensitive,

just forget:

you are deeply aware of

the world around you.

just forget:

You are probably often tracking

everybody in your life.

just forget:

You are keeping in touch with what's

going on in the world around you,

just forget:

whether that's literally through the news

or just energetically. As sensitives,

just forget:

we always have our feelers open so

literally everything is coming into our

just forget:

consciousness at any time.

just forget:

So if you want to thrive in this world

as a sensitive or an empathic person,

just forget:

you have to be willing to curate your

consciousness. What does this mean?

just forget:

This means that you have to be willing

to have boundaries on what you allow into

just forget:

your field. For you, this might be,

just forget:

I'm not going to look at my

phone first thing in the morning.

just forget:

I'm definitely not going to look at the

news first thing in the morning because

just forget:

I know the moment that I see those news

stories or the moment I click onto my

just forget:

social media feed,

just forget:

my brain is flooded with all of this

sensory input that then overwhelms

just forget:

me from here on out. Another way to

curate your consciousness might be,

just forget:

I don't have conversations on

the phone before 5:00 PM. Or,

just forget:

I don't have conversations

on the phone after 5:00 PM.

just forget:

I need that time to

clear my consciousness,

just forget:

to be open to feeling my own

thoughts, my own feelings. Now,

just forget:

these are just a few examples,

but you are going to know for you,

just forget:

What is it that you need to do

to curate your own consciousness?

just forget:

And if you're doing this along

with me right now, ask yourself,

just forget:

what are the things you engage

in that bring your energy down,

just forget:

that seem to drain your

energy? Is it social media?

just forget:

Is it talking to certain people or

going to certain kinds of events?

just forget:

Just take note of this. Perhaps

throughout your day today,

just forget:

notice when your energy hits a dip

or a low, and then ask yourself,

just forget:

What am I doing in this

moment? What am I exposed to?

just forget:

What is coming into my consciousness? And

is there a way that I can curate this,

just forget:

that I can put these boundaries

in place to make these decisions?

just forget:

Because the reality is that we are

deeply affected by what comes into our

just forget:

brains, into our fields,

just forget:

into our consciousness. I realized this

from a young age that the books that I

just forget:

read would affect my dreams,

just forget:

the movies that I saw often made

me feel a certain kind of way

just forget:

for days at a time.

just forget:

I realized that I cannot watch scary

movies because I literally start feeling

just forget:

like I am living in a

scary movie if I watch one.

just forget:

It's just part and parcel of

me being a sensitive person.

just forget:

So are there things in your

life that you are exposed to,

just forget:

or you are choosing to expose yourself to,

just forget:

that are actually really affecting

your consciousness in a way?

just forget:

You have permission to curate that.

just forget:

You have permission to decide when and

where you interact with some of these

just forget:

things. So what are some things that

you can decide that you want to let go

just forget:

of now or that you're only going

to engage with at certain times?

just forget:

This is an empowering way to curate

what is coming into your field.

just forget:

And by doing so,

just forget:

you can actually allow your mind and

your nervous system to have the space

just forget:

to tune into you, to tune

into your own energy field,

just forget:

and what it is that makes you thrive.

So the second step goes along with

just forget:

this as a natural progression, and this

is to envision your boundaries. Now,

just forget:

we talk a lot about boundaries

as sensitives and empaths

because we need them so

just forget:

much and because we're so naturally

boundaryless. In this exercise,

just forget:

I want you to literally envision

a boundary around yourself.

just forget:

It's one thing to talk about it;

just forget:

It's another thing to actually use your

intention and your inner consciousness,

just forget:

the power of your mind, and

envision these boundaries. Now,

just forget:

your boundaries are going

to look specific for you.

just forget:

Maybe your boundary will be a bubble.

Maybe it's going to be a fence.

just forget:

Maybe it's going to be a bright light.

just forget:

I love envisioning my

boundaries as a hedgerow.

just forget:

So a hedgerow full of a diversity,

just forget:

of plants and berries and flowers,

just forget:

planted in a thicket of thorns

all around the edges of what I

just forget:

conceive of the garden of my life.

just forget:

So I see that hedgerow far enough out

for myself that I know I have space to

just forget:

move and stretch and explore, but thick:

just forget:

thick enough that the energies that I'm

not willing to have in my life have a

just forget:

natural barrier,

just forget:

where they're kept on the outside.

So take a moment now if you're following

just forget:

along with me, and envision your boundary.

just forget:

What visual is coming up for

you when you tune into this?

just forget:

This boundary should be something

that makes you feel good,

just forget:

that makes you feel protected,

safe, alive and spacious.

just forget:

Because ultimately that's

what boundaries do for us:

just forget:

they actually help us as sensitives

to feel more spacious in our life,

just forget:

because there's more space for our

own energy to spread out. I recommend

just forget:

envisioning your boundaries

at least once a day:

just forget:

so either first thing in the morning

before you go about your day,

just forget:

or perhaps at night before you go to

sleep, to really call yourself back home.

just forget:

You can envision your boundaries

before challenging situations or maybe

just forget:

before you're going into a public sphere

where you know your sensitivity is

just forget:

going to be on alert. Really take

that time to envision that boundary,

just forget:

see it in your mind's eye, use all

of your senses to engage with it,

just forget:

and I promise you that energetic boundary

will be there to help protect you.

just forget:

The third tip is to connect in

with your own individual essence or

just forget:

frequency. You have an

energy that is all your own,

just forget:

and you are here in this lifetime to

have that energy completely embodied in

just forget:

your life. That's your goal.

That is your purpose in life,

just forget:

to have your energy be what

animates your body, your form,

just forget:

your life.

Now, as sensitives,

just forget:

we're often very in-tune

with other people's energies,

just forget:

the energies that are moving through the

world. This can be a beautiful thing.

just forget:

It makes us really good

listeners, therapists.

just forget:

It makes us really amazing practitioners.

just forget:

It makes us really highly tuned

into the subtle realm. And,

just forget:

it can get confusing. What's my energy

versus what's someone else's? Who am I,

just forget:

versus somebody else?

just forget:

So taking time every day to

envision and feel your own energy.

just forget:

And here's how I love to do that,

just forget:

and you can follow along with me now

if you'd like: Envision that there is a

just forget:

beautiful light coming into your body now.

just forget:

This is the light of your wider self.

just forget:

This is the light of your home

frequency, who you truly are. Now,

just forget:

if it helps you to do so, you could let

your eyes close to visualize this light.

just forget:

I want you to see this light moving

into your body now completely and

just forget:

totally into your energy

field. And notice,

just forget:

what color is this light?

just forget:

All of our lights are

going to be different.

just forget:

Your color is going to be

different than someone else,

just forget:

and this color holds a very particular

frequency: the frequency that is you.

just forget:

So really take a moment now to see

this color. Don't overthink it.

just forget:

Just let it arise into your mind.

just forget:

And see this colored light flood

just forget:

completely into your

body. How does this feel?

just forget:

This light is moving into you so fully

that there's not space for anything else

just forget:

but your own light, this

frequency that is you,

just forget:

this beautiful, vibrant color that

carries the energy of who you are.

just forget:

See this light flood completely

all the cells in your body,

just forget:

so much so that now you're

radiating this light.

just forget:

This is your home frequency.

This is who you are.

just forget:

This is your innate energy, and

this is a place where you can rest.

just forget:

So you can use this visualization anytime

you need. And this color is a gift.

just forget:

This color has come to remind you

of who you are. So if you have time,

just forget:

maybe sit down and write a little bit

about what this color brings up for you,

just forget:

where you've seen this color

before, what it reminds you of,

just forget:

how you feel when you

interact with this color.

just forget:

This color will now be like a touchstone

for you to remember who you are,

just forget:

and remember that feeling of being

at home with yourself and fully

just forget:

ensconced and connected to your

own home frequency. Step number

just forget:

four is to learn how to

come home to yourself.

just forget:

So we've explored these three tools,

just forget:

which will help you throughout your

day to stay centered, grounded,

just forget:

and inside your own energy field,

which is your place of power.

just forget:

Now we're exploring how to come home

to yourself at the end of the day or

just forget:

whenever you need to.

As empaths and sensitives,

just forget:

we're constantly exporting ourselves out

into the world to interact with people,

just forget:

to be available for other energies.

just forget:

So learning how to come home to ourselves

is an essential skill. I know for me,

just forget:

what this looks like is often taking

care of the sensory aspects of my

surroundings:

so putting on music that I really like,

surroundings:

or maybe even putting on a white

noise machine, dimming the lights,

surroundings:

lighting a candle, getting

into soft, comfy clothes.

surroundings:

All of these sensory details

help me in my mind and in my

surroundings:

nervous system to come back

into a state of relaxation,

surroundings:

to feel available for this

process of coming home to myself.

surroundings:

As sensitives, we're very

attuned to our environment.

surroundings:

So whatever you can do to make

your environment feel soft, cozy,

surroundings:

safe and less overwhelming,

surroundings:

will help you come back home to yourself.

And then there's a visualization that

surroundings:

I like to use at the end of the day,

surroundings:

where I actually see

myself as a map of lights,

surroundings:

and I notice where these little

lights might be out in the world,

surroundings:

and I call each one back home, one by one,

surroundings:

until I feel my own light complete

and intact and whole again.

surroundings:

So the way that you come home

will be unique and special to you.

surroundings:

Maybe it's being alone, maybe

it's being with your pet.

surroundings:

Maybe it's sitting outside underneath

your favorite tree. Whatever it is,

surroundings:

take some time today to think about

it, to figure it out, to ask yourself,

surroundings:

What is it that helps me feel like all

the lights of myself are back home,

surroundings:

safe inside of my being?

surroundings:

Taking time every day to come back home,

surroundings:

to be in your home frequency, to

bathe in the energy that is you.

surroundings:

This is what gives you energy

to be out in the world.

surroundings:

This is what gives you power to

be doing your work in the world.

surroundings:

You as an empath, as a sensitive,

surroundings:

have really important gifts

to bring to this world.

surroundings:

And those gifts are integrally

tied in with your sensitivity.

surroundings:

So learning how to take care of yourself

as a sensitive person in this world is

surroundings:

how you give the gifts of your

being to this planet. So if you are

surroundings:

loving this information about how to care

for yourself as a sensitive person and

surroundings:

you want to know how to

be supported in that,

surroundings:

and specifically how the earth can

support you in your sensitivity,

surroundings:

then definitely check out my

book, Mirrors in the Earth.

surroundings:

The book was specifically

created for other sensitives and

surroundings:

empaths on the journey of learning

how to flourish in this world,

surroundings:

by learning how to value themselves and

take care of themselves as sensitive

surroundings:

people.

surroundings:

This book is all about interacting with

the natural world so you can see the

surroundings:

nature of who you are.

surroundings:

And I've loved connecting with people

through this book being out in the world.

surroundings:

So if you do read the book, I would

love to know, What resonated with you?

surroundings:

Was there a specific chapter or moment

or plant in the book that really

surroundings:

spoke to you? It has been such a blessing

to work with so many sensitives on my

surroundings:

path because sensitive

people are magnificent,

surroundings:

sensitive people have incredible gifts:

surroundings:

gifts that only someone who is

as sensitive and empathic as

surroundings:

you can bring. So thank you for

being who you are in this world,

surroundings:

for the sensitive, empathic

person that you are.

surroundings:

What you bring to this earth

is special, it's needed,

surroundings:

and now more ever,

surroundings:

your gifts are so deeply

needed on this planet.

surroundings:

Are you still listening?

If so, you are my people.

surroundings:

If you are still here,

surroundings:

I wanted to remind you

about my voicemail service.

surroundings:

I have a voice messaging center on my

website where you can leave me a voice

surroundings:

message. And I have been

loving hearing from people.

surroundings:

It's one of my favorite things.

surroundings:

So if you have thoughts about this episode

or you have something you'd like to

surroundings:

suggest for a future episode,

surroundings:

head on over to asiasuler.com/remember,

and I'd love to hear from you.
