You know you, right?
We think we know ourselves, but knowing who we are and describing it to others are two different things. It sounds simple, but highlighting our strengths and weaknesses can be one of the most challenging aspects of the interview process. When you sit down with a recruiter or hiring manager, it's on you to be prepared enough to explain your strengths and weaknesses accurately.
"It's this question of human nature, and how we leverage that. You're afraid you're going to pick a weakness that prevents you from getting the job. I want to tackle both of these questions. The reality is, there are other sides to a strength [too]. When you have a strength that has a 'dark' side, that's the one to uncover."
In this episode, you'll discover how to identify and frame your strengths and weaknesses. I include how to use the 'dark' side of strengths (those things you're great at to a fault), the one word you should never say when describing weaknesses, and finally, the exact formula to use in preparation for your interview.
