School is letting out soon, summer plans are being made, and graduation is in full swing.
Speaking of which, I am the proud dad of a high school graduate myself this year! My darling daughter Olivia graduated with honors, and her mom and I are so proud.
Of course, I could regale you with stories of all her accomplishments but she’d probably deny she knows me for the next week to 10 days, so I’ll just go with graduation and learning as a theme today instead.
We’ll talk about:
- 11 questions and ideas on How to honor your homeschool graduate. You may not know this about me, but I did a little bit of homeschooling with my kids for a while years ago, and our Director of Customer Service, Rachel, homeschools her son. We always want to give a nod to all the homeschoolers out there, and let them know that they are not forgotten this time of year.
- Then I’ll have ways to avoid “Summer Slide” - that is the very real knowledge-loss that kids experience over the summer. I’ll give you some ideas and the reasons why you should be planning some things to keep your kids sharp over the summer.
- Along with that, I’ll have some thoughts and a special offer for the exceptional educational website, ABCMouse.com - which we highly recommend for helping prevent summer slide for younger students.
