It turns out, instead of classifying a leader as someone who possesses a pre-defined list of skills and developed some mastery over those skills (the traditional proxy for leadership) - we instead classify leaders as someone who has followers.
And, it turns out, followers follow the "spikes" of others. They are attracted to the most defined and extreme parts of another human towards a cause.
