Your observation of the world. Is your opportunity to shift what you are seeing. If you are looking for negative, bad, trouble or challenge - those things are a lot more likely to appear. When you're looking for possibilities, openness and opportunity, those too are more likely to appear.
In this podcast I offer you a challenge I presented in our weekly SHINE group meeting. Shine is a group of people that come together to talk about mind, body, spirit, wellness, around challenges with food, body image, movement and recognizing that whole wellness is the most important part of wellness. In our SHINE group this week ew were talking about looking for acts of kindness. I invited our members to share an act of kindness that they had themselves personally observed recently. One person shared observing an act of kindness between two children. Where one just naturally reached out to help another one that was falling. Put their arm out as the child was falling, steadied them and returned to playing in a natural sequence of events. That kind of kindness, that automatic response kindness happens often. Observing it is so beautiful.
Listen to learn the three steps to shifting your observation skills, and ultimately the way you see the world around you.

Hi, friends, welcome to the trifecta of joy. I'm your host, Tanya Gill, I'm so excited to talk to you today because I want to share with you a story around a conversation that we had at the dinner table this week. This week has been a lot of getting ready for back to school. And also just recognizing that lots of people are growing and changing and shifting in our lives. One of my kiddos was noticing that someone he knows has just been really negative lately. We started having a conversation about that negativity, and how when we look for negativity, then we keep finding more negativity. It's not any different than for example, when one of my children recently bought a Honda CRV, and all of a sudden he noticed that he started seeing CRVs everywhere. Because it was top of mind, it was something that he started to notice. It reminded me of way back when John and I were trying to get pregnant with our first child. As we were in that process of trying, I started to notice pregnant women everywhere. In fact, John got to the point where he was calling them Christmas lights. Because I could see a pregnant woman from almost a mile away. It was like they were literally wrapped in Christmas lights. For me. Again, a reminder that when something is top of mind, and we're looking for it, we will see it. Mel Robbins has a practice that I've adopted. And that practice is the practice of looking for hearts. And I can tell you that I see hearts everywhere. In our daily nature walks, I just keep my eyes open for heart shaped rocks and almost on a daily basis, I will find a heart shaped rock. Again, a reminder that what we're looking for will start to appear. So again, if we're looking for negative if we're looking for bad, if we're looking for trouble and challenge, those things are a lot more likely to appear when we're looking for possibilities and openness and opportunity and hearts, for example. So here's my challenge to you. In one of our recent shine meetings shine is a group of people that come together to talk about mind body spirit wellness, around challenges with food, body image movement, and recognizing that whole wellness is the most important part of wellness. In our shine group. We were talking about looking for acts of kindness, I invited our members to share an act of kindness that they had themselves personally observed. Recently. One person shared observing an act of kindness between two children, where one just naturally reached out to help another one that was falling, put their arm out as the child was falling steadied them and return to playing in a natural sequence of events. That kind of kindness, that automatic response kindness that happens often observing, it is so beautiful. I love to watch for opportunities to observe acts of kindness. Here's the thing, what does observing acts of kindness offer you? First, it shifts your observation of the world because it gives you an opportunity to reflect on the kindness that you are observing. What is happening in that moment? What energetically is offered between those two people, as someone offers kindness to another, and another receives that kindness. It also second reminds us the importance of putting kindness into the world. If I offer you an opportunity to reflect on an act of kindness that you observed, is it easy for you to think of what does it take you a little bit of time? When was the last time you did an act of kindness. When was the last time you received an act of kindness? How did you react? These are all things that you could To actually journal about if you want to take it next level. But what I want most for you in this conversation, my friend, is to be reminded that we can want first reflect on observations of kindness, second, put kindness into the world. And third, be open to receiving kindness. Here's the thing, we are all energetic beings. Positive attracts positive, negative, attracts negative. And what we look for in the world is what we will find your observation of the world is actually your opportunity to shift what you are seeing. I'm going to say that, again, your observation of the world is your opportunity to shift what you are seeing, because what you observe in the world is what you're looking for. What are you looking for? Are you looking for opportunities? Are you looking for kindness? Are you looking for connection? Are you looking for joy? Are you putting those things into the world? Are you looking for them, noticing them, recognizing them, acknowledging them, when you see other people engaged in an act of kindness, there's nothing wrong with going and saying, Hey, that was a really kind thing I saw you do. You're an awesome human. And get on with your day, think about the power of receiving a random act of kindness and compliment for just simply being kind. It is that forward momentum and that sharing of love and light that I talked about. And it's really quite simple. But it does start with you and how you observe the world. So my friend, I'm keeping it short, and I'm keeping it sweet. But I want you to remember that there are ways for you to shift your observation of the world. First, by noticing what you're looking for. Second, putting out into the world what you want more of and third, being willing, open and able to receive what you are putting out into the world because this is the magic of it. When you put that goodness out in the world, you'll notice it starts to come back to you. My beautiful friend, I love you. I adore you please give us a like, follow, share. Send this to a friend. And don't forget to leave a review from the bottom of my heart. I adore you and stay awesome mwah
