Chapter Seven - How to Observe the Sabbath Day - By: Fred R. Coulter
A Sunday keeper watching Church at home clear down in Florida is convicted of the Sabbath, Gets A hold of Randy, and she says, how do I keep the Sabbath? Isn't that something? We'll have to do two or three or four sermons on keeping the "Sabbath at Home." Because unless you can keep it at home first and have a relationship with God when you get together, you will not be able to optimize your fellowship or learning on the Sabbath.
So today, I will talk a little bit about Sabbath observance. Okay, so let's see what God commands and ask how we observe the Sabbath today? Now you can go to Exodus sixteen will tell you how to keep the Sabbath. If you are in an exodus and in the Wilderness, the only place you have to go is your tent, and you have no Bible. So all you have to eat is Manna, and if you don't fix it right on Friday or keep it beyond the Sabbath Day, you will be eating maggots in a stinky mess. Right, okay.
And what was the command? None of you shall go out of the door of your tent. Right, okay. So if we went back to Exodus sixteen and said, Oh, here's how we'll keep the Sabbath today; no, we can get some principles from it, but let's go to Exodus twenty and read the command here. Okay, Exodus twenty. So we'll pick this apart, apply it today, and see how we will do it. See Verse Eight. Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy.
Okay, first of all, you're to remember it. So many times, people, even though they're pretending they are keeping it, are forgetting it and not keeping it holy. Okay, how do you keep it holy today?...
