Transcripts

Unknown:

No, and welcome to the Borealis experience. I'm your

Unknown:

host Aurora, and today with me sad gab mA here. And I'm

Unknown:

extremely blessed and delighted to have this young man on my

Unknown:

show today he is 15 years old from Bangladesh. And he reached

Unknown:

out to me, as an aspiring author, and mental health

Unknown:

advocate, he has a strong mission and vision out there for

Unknown:

us. And yeah, I'm especially excited today because a couple

Unknown:

of days ago, I thought that I really wanted to have an

Unknown:

interview, where we talk about the young generation. And now

Unknown:

here he is.

Unknown:

And I'm very excited to share with my audience what your

Unknown:

mission is, what your vision is for the future. And at the end,

Unknown:

you will let us know, yeah, where we can meet with you where

Unknown:

we can stay connected with you and learn more about your book.

Unknown:

We just had a little bit of an introduction talk. And this is

Unknown:

where you shared with me where you from, and where your desire

Unknown:

or urgency comes to raise awareness when it comes to

Unknown:

mental health. You also shared with me that at school, you're

Unknown:

being taught how you can take care of your mental health. And

Unknown:

I find that very, very impressive and worthy of sharing

Unknown:

with people from North America and from Europe. So welcome to

Unknown:

the show, The stage is yours. And we want to know as much

Unknown:

about you as possible. If you want to give us a little bit of

Unknown:

an introduction of how you started becoming

Unknown:

interested about mental health awareness, it is not usual as a

Unknown:

15 year old

Unknown:

to be passionate about this topic, and it'd be awesome to to

Unknown:

find out what made you so passionate about it.

Unknown:

There are a lot of reasons for what made me passionate about

Unknown:

it. Some of which was where I lived in and what situation I

Unknown:

was like, what environment I was situated in. So those played a

Unknown:

role. Also, one thing about like having

Unknown:

social anxiety was one thing that also played a role since I

Unknown:

had it. So I thought like, that was something others might

Unknown:

happen. But at that time, there was less awareness about it. So

Unknown:

I did not know I, I felt like that was only me who was going

Unknown:

through this. So as soon as I learned that it isn't me only.

Unknown:

So I thought spreading the message would help others know

Unknown:

that they're not alone in this journey. There are others who

Unknown:

are here at our company. Hmm. And that is so important.

Unknown:

Because probably back then when you first experienced your

Unknown:

anxiety, you saw something is wrong with you, you're broken,

Unknown:

and you have a hard time surviving.

Unknown:

How are you going to make a future if you have that anxiety,

Unknown:

and once you realize that there is other people with that

Unknown:

anxiety. It actually lowered the anxiety probably and made you

Unknown:

feel less alone. That is so critical. And then you decided

Unknown:

to talk more about it in order to to de stigmatize it even

Unknown:

more.

Unknown:

And how was it for you within within your family? Like were

Unknown:

they a full support? Or did they think oh, what is up doing

Unknown:

there? This is very weird for a young person. How did your

Unknown:

family react?

Unknown:

Actually, my mom is really supportive. She supports

Unknown:

everything I do. She she has given us as much freedom as it's

Unknown:

needed. So she doesn't really keep like, you know, asking us

Unknown:

of what we do, but she does keep updates about what we're doing.

Unknown:

Obviously she does. So she was really supportive and everyone

Unknown:

else was also

Unknown:

really supportive? Yeah, yeah, no, they can be very proud of

Unknown:

you. Sometimes when we, we have strong desires to, to yet change

Unknown:

society or shape society in a new way. We we meet resistance

Unknown:

and we meet people who are like, well, this is weird.

Unknown:

But I'm glad that I found the support and your family. That's,

Unknown:

that's so precious.

Unknown:

Now tell us a little bit about your writing, you started

Unknown:

writing? And Did I understand correctly that this is your way

Unknown:

you'd like to express yourself and get the message out there?

Unknown:

Yeah.

Unknown:

So writing for me is actually like, expressing my feelings

Unknown:

into like, putting them into words and sharing them helps

Unknown:

like other people who are also experiencing this, to really

Unknown:

understand how

Unknown:

they are not alone and how the things can be. And to fiction, I

Unknown:

think it's more you have more capacity to have a broader range

Unknown:

of expressing the thing you're trying to express. Because you

Unknown:

can kind of you can go on and make situation that you haven't

Unknown:

been in, but others might have done. So you put them in those

Unknown:

situation. And then you're like, see this character is going to

Unknown:

this, you? You might as well be going to this, but she ended up

Unknown:

well. You might also end up well. Yeah, yeah. So with your

Unknown:

work, you make people feel less alone, you make them able to

Unknown:

relate to the characters in the book? And how far are you into

Unknown:

into writing? Now? Did you publish something already?

Unknown:

Yes, I've already published my first book. It is a story.

Unknown:

Obviously, it's fictional. But the thing is, I tried to keep it

Unknown:

as realistic as possible, so that people can relate and feel

Unknown:

moved by it. Yeah, yeah. That is so cool. And is it written for

Unknown:

children? Or is it for adults? Or is it for both?

Unknown:

It's for both, it's for all ages. But

Unknown:

people have like, you know, younger people, like, you know,

Unknown:

young adults and new adults would find it more relatable.

Unknown:

Yeah, yeah. Because the things I tried to break down like some, I

Unknown:

even tried to break down some stigmas. So some stigma most

Unknown:

most of the stigma that I tried to be on both about them, so

Unknown:

near them, so yeah, I'm part of it was like, the message that

Unknown:

reach out, you might be helped, there might be people willing to

Unknown:

listen to you. So that was there. But there was also stuff

Unknown:

like there was cruelty as well, because we experience it so

Unknown:

completely vanishing, it would make it seem like you're the

Unknown:

only day are the only people

Unknown:

like, you know, feeling those

Unknown:

spacing those stuff, and not others, which would make them

Unknown:

feel like Oh, my God, my life is the worst. But then it's so I

Unknown:

included Realty so that they know that it isn't only them,

Unknown:

facing those, and others are standing to the storm.

Unknown:

without falling apart, so please, you should do it. Yeah,

Unknown:

yeah. That is so cool. No, it makes a lot of sense and, and

Unknown:

resonates was my mission and was my heart. So yeah, I'm just

Unknown:

blown away how you found my podcast, and we're here now

Unknown:

talking, this is awesome.

Unknown:

Would you like to share with us how you take care of your mental

Unknown:

health, you said that at a young age, you experienced anxiety and

Unknown:

then you found out that you're not alone. And that's one of the

Unknown:

tools that I use, that you are using today.

Unknown:

To help yourself to stay grounded and to keep focusing on

Unknown:

your mission.

Unknown:

Definitely one part of it is keep yourself surrounded by

Unknown:

people who are supportive because when you're surrounded

Unknown:

by those people, they help you like the you know, the vibe they

Unknown:

give, give off, helps you keep strong keep to go in throughout

Unknown:

all those storms and all that

Unknown:

was crashes your grown going through. So definitely that but

Unknown:

then some part of it was writing. So I would suggest,

Unknown:

like, you know, any hobby that you have maybe cooking, or

Unknown:

learning a new language or anything, go up, do it like, you

Unknown:

know, now we have Google. So definitely that is really

Unknown:

helpful to like research about anything you want to do. So

Unknown:

go up and research about what you're trying to do learn new

Unknown:

things, maybe try doing them and then maybe you you will feel

Unknown:

moved. Definitely. Yeah, that is so special. And earlier, when we

Unknown:

talked, you said, once you found your hobby, your activity that

Unknown:

excites you and grounds you and makes you feel good. Sometimes,

Unknown:

self doubt, creeps in and makes you want to stop and makes you

Unknown:

want to throw away that pen that you use to write your story.

Unknown:

What do you share with people on how to,

Unknown:

to conquer that self doubt and how to stay on your mission once

Unknown:

you found it?

Unknown:

One part of it is that I think for some, like, at least for

Unknown:

some minutes, take a break.

Unknown:

Be yourself as a cup of coffee, and then just think where you

Unknown:

started, see where you started. Even if it's like just

Unknown:

yesterday, you have come like you have spent the whole day

Unknown:

your face the whole day. So, you will be able to face the next

Unknown:

day if you try. And another thing is that since I have been

Unknown:

an artist, so I looked up people there, there have been a lot of

Unknown:

people who have gone gone through the same struggles as

Unknown:

me. So but they are like, you know, they have moved past it.

Unknown:

So when you look at those images, those pictures you you

Unknown:

can like, you know, that will give you the positivity that

Unknown:

know, there are people who have been here and they have

Unknown:

exhibited from this darkness, so I can do

Unknown:

so sometimes like some of the self, like indie authors, some

Unknown:

of them we don't we don't we don't know that they're indie,

Unknown:

such as Stephen King. He's an in he started as an indie author.

Unknown:

But see, he's at a high position. So it's not just about

Unknown:

authors. It's about everything. Everybody starts at some point.

Unknown:

And every no one starting point is good. Yeah, I've been missing

Unknown:

the one have been in darkness. So in self doubt, they haven't

Unknown:

passed it. Yes, yes. And that is so important to, to shine light

Unknown:

on because so often we look at the people who are successful

Unknown:

artists today. And we think, Oh, they always had it easy. They

Unknown:

were born with this talent. And who am I to say that I'm going

Unknown:

to be good at it? No, they had to struggle. And they just

Unknown:

decided to keep pushing through it. And I think another point

Unknown:

is, is very important to mission mentioned is your, your mission.

Unknown:

So your mission, if I understood, right, it's not to

Unknown:

become famous and to earn a lot of money, and to drive big cars.

Unknown:

Your mission is to raise awareness and to help society be

Unknown:

more resilient to stress. And then beautiful side effect can

Unknown:

be the big car and the private jet one day, but it is not your

Unknown:

main drive. You wake up in the morning, and you think about how

Unknown:

can I help that kid over there that is struggling with anxiety?

Unknown:

How can I help the adult over there who's struggling with

Unknown:

depression? Right and that

Unknown:

takes maybe some some pressure off of it too because you know

Unknown:

you are serving society you're not being selfish and and that

Unknown:

very good to cling on. Yeah, it's a very good good. Yeah.

Unknown:

Mission to be on that. Now.

Unknown:

Yeah, it is definitely like something I think everybody

Unknown:

should have sort of because when you have good intentions, they

Unknown:

will good intentions like literally pave the pathway for

Unknown:

you and you can walk on it. So some part of it is like when I

Unknown:

see others going to

Unknown:

To the same thing I have been, but then they are not seeing it

Unknown:

in the same I have been. So sometimes I feel like, they're

Unknown:

going to go to the wrong part, they're going to take the wrong

Unknown:

part. So if I put a block over the wrong part, by my messages

Unknown:

by the thing I'm doing, then they may take the right path and

Unknown:

go to the path they're supposed to. Or they might lose

Unknown:

themselves.

Unknown:

Yes, that is very true. That is very true.

Unknown:

Now share with us, where can we connect with you? Are you more

Unknown:

on active on Facebook? Or on Instagram?

Unknown:

Where can we have a look at your book? Is that available online

Unknown:

somewhere?

Unknown:

Yes, my book is available on Amazon. So if somebody wants to

Unknown:

read it, or buy it, you can go on do that. And I'm mostly

Unknown:

active on Instagram, but I'm really active on all other

Unknown:

social media profiles as well. Because I try to keep up with

Unknown:

you know, the competition. So that like, you know, so in

Unknown:

order, you know, there are different audiences everywhere.

Unknown:

So, being active everywhere, lets me keep connect, keep

Unknown:

connected with people, different people, different people have

Unknown:

different views. So that helps. And yeah, I also I'm posting a

Unknown:

campaign a giveaway. So if you really feel like you want to

Unknown:

read that, you can go participate it on it. To my

Unknown:

Instagram account. Yes. Yes.

Unknown:

And is it under your name? Set up my here? Yeah.

Unknown:

Okay, it is under my name. But with official, so I like to put

Unknown:

that word as well. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, that is so if you search for

Unknown:

me, you will find it. I will find it.

Unknown:

Now, last question for you. We would like to to hear one more

Unknown:

time, your mission and your vision? What is it that you

Unknown:

would like to see changing?

Unknown:

In the future? When you talk about stigma? maybe be a little

Unknown:

bit more specific there?

Unknown:

On what would what would you like to see in the future for

Unknown:

your generation.

Unknown:

So a lot of things actually, but then some things that are that

Unknown:

really stick to mind is how mental health is actually taking

Unknown:

nowadays, how people are not like people with mental health

Unknown:

issues, their issues are not taken into account when doing

Unknown:

something or deciding something, they so what I would like, is to

Unknown:

have your worlds where everything is taken into account

Unknown:

before coming into a contusion. So every one every single person

Unknown:

is included in it.

Unknown:

Because you know sometimes, because there's someone with a

Unknown:

problem, and then they're gonna be like, some people are like,

Unknown:

it's not like, they're bad. They're just, they just don't

Unknown:

know. They're, this is something. So sometimes they

Unknown:

feel like, that's not really important. Because let's not

Unknown:

take that into account because it's just one or two people that

Unknown:

doesn't really make make it a necessity. But it should be a

Unknown:

necessity because they are human too. Just because they're

Unknown:

destined number doesn't mean they don't exist, they do exist.

Unknown:

And they should be taken into account. So I would love

Unknown:

worlds where this is possible. This is happening.

Unknown:

Yeah, this is so beautiful. And you know what, when you when you

Unknown:

Unknown:

I think of people who commit crime, people who are violent.

Unknown:

And if they

Unknown:

you know, they're not born that way. They're not born criminals.

Unknown:

They're not born violent they become so they can unlearn this

Unknown:

again. And if there's people like you out there, showing them

Unknown:

that hey, you're on a wrong on a on a weird path right now, but

Unknown:

we can give you the tools to feel better, and to belong to

Unknown:

society again, there's less likelihood of them becoming more

Unknown:

criminal and more violent. Do you feel the same about this?

Unknown:

Yeah, yes, I do. And I know a lot of people don't agree with

Unknown:

this thing. But I have been trying. I have talked about this

Unknown:

before, and I've gotten like, you know, people who didn't

Unknown:

agree, because what I think is that no one is at

Unknown:

should be bad. No, everybody is bad and good. They have done a

Unknown:

good, good thing about them. But then maybe it's so like, you

Unknown:

know, tiny and amount that it's overlapped by the bad they have.

Unknown:

So if if there is there are people who are willing to help

Unknown:

them, they can increase that goodness and overlap that bad.

Unknown:

With that good thing. Everybody has some kind of good thing in

Unknown:

them. If you try, you can find it. Yes, this is one thing I

Unknown:

always like to see, from a different perspective, no matter

Unknown:

what the thing is, I like to view it from a different

Unknown:

perspective, something that is not the perspective that is not

Unknown:

common. So that sometimes, you know, they might have thought it

Unknown:

this way and gone to this way. So maybe this is why they're

Unknown:

wrong. So we can tell them that this is not how you're supposed

Unknown:

to go.

Unknown:

So a lot of people think that no, they just knew this was

Unknown:

going to happen. But they still decided to do it. Sometimes it's

Unknown:

not like that. Sometimes it's like they viewed it in a

Unknown:

different way. And then

Unknown:

they just landed into a wrong part. without even noticing.

Unknown:

Yes, yes. Very, very wise, and precious words that you're

Unknown:

sharing with us here like I'm so, so blessed to to have met

Unknown:

you. And I'm so grateful that there is young people like you

Unknown:

out there, fighting for the good and shining the light on stuff

Unknown:

that most people don't like to look at and like to push away.

Unknown:

But we have to learn to Yeah, include mental health, mental

Unknown:

well being into our lives a little more. And then we can be

Unknown:

more sensitive with the people around us and build more

Unknown:

resilient societies and, and your mission and your vision is

Unknown:

clearly needed all around the world at this moment, not only

Unknown:

in Bangladesh, not only in Malaysia, or Canada, but around

Unknown:

the globe. So I'm wishing you all the best on your journey.

Unknown:

I'm very happy to stay connected with you. And to share this

Unknown:

episode around with you. Thank you so much for reaching out to

Unknown:

me and for letting me ask you all these questions.

Unknown:

Thank you, you to YouTube for having me today. And to all

Unknown:

those listener out there, putting attention and listening

to me. Thanks a lot. This means a lot. Yes, it means a lot to me

Unknown:

to thank you so so much.

Unknown:

Thank you.

Unknown:

Thank you so much for listening to this episode. If you haven't

Unknown:

Unknown:

It gives me hope and truly inspiring and great. So yeah,
