And now, this week's episode.
Speaker:
00:00:19
When it comes to what format your podcast should be in,
Speaker:
00:00:26
there are three main choices.
Speaker:
00:00:27
Episodic, Episodic with Seasons, and Serial.
Speaker:
00:00:31
The first two are pretty straightforward and just mean that listeners can jump in at any time
Speaker:
00:00:35
regardless of what episode they actually start listening to your podcast.
Speaker:
00:00:38
They won't be confused because each episode stands on its own.
Speaker:
00:00:41
Episodic with Seasons just means that you're taking a break between seasons
Speaker:
00:00:44
so maybe a summer break, seasonal break, but listeners can still jump in at any time
Speaker:
00:00:48
no matter what season or episode.
Speaker:
00:00:51
With Serial, that's more geared towards storytelling podcasts
Speaker:
00:00:54
and requires the listener to start at the very beginning with episode one.
Speaker:
00:00:57
When you create your podcast with your podcast host,
Speaker:
00:00:59
you would choose what format you wish.
Speaker:
00:01:01
Episodic, episodic with seasons, or serial.
Speaker:
00:01:04
And then it would generally display episodes newest first for episodic
Speaker:
00:01:07
and oldest first for serial.
Speaker:
00:01:09
Until the next time, happy podcasting.
