Revolutionizing PTSD Treatment

According to the National Center for PTSD, about 6 of every 10 men (or 60%) and 5 of every 10 women (or 50%) experience at least one trauma in their lives. Some people may recover within a few months after the event, but for others it may take years or may even begin long after the events occur.

On this episode of Innovatively Speaking, Jesse and Kevin speak to Robert Adams, M.D. and Amber Jarnecke, Ph.D. Adams, is the creator of Zeriscope, a novel wearable device that connects PTSD patients in real-time with therapists, providing them valuable information and experience in exposure therapy. One of the core clinical psychologists studying Zeriscope’s uses in telemedicine, Jarnecke discusses the future of this technology and how it’s being used currently in revolutionizing trauma treatment.
