Summary This conversation explores spiritual responses to betrayal and spiritual attack, using the Feast of Passover and the biblical example of Daniel as focal points. Speakers describe how an 'excellent spirit'—a posture of right-hearted worship and trust in God—acts as protection during times of betrayal, allowing believers to maintain faith, honor authorities despite hostility, and experience cleansing and renewal through the feasts of Passover and Unleavened Bread. Show Notes Context: A strong spiritual assault occurred before a recent service, leading some to feel betrayed.
  • Passover described as 'the feast of betrayal'—connections made to Judas and Pharaoh.
  • Daniel as the model: 'excellent spirit' (Daniel 6:3) provided protection amid powerful opposition.
  • Practical emphasis: focus on your own spirit before the Lord rather than assigning blame.
  • Passover/Unleavened Bread: times for cleansing, repentance, and becoming a 'new creation.'
  • Worship in the presence of the enemy—asking for grace to continue worshiping and serving God.
  • Action items: identify one or two attitudes/behaviors to remove during Passover season for deeper renewal.

Scriptural References Daniel 6:3 Daniel described as having an 'excellent spirit' and elevated above others. Matthew 26  Accounts related to Judas' betrayal occurring at the time of Passover. Exodus 12–14 Passover, the Exodus, and Pharaoh's pursuit after the Israelites left. Exodus 12  Feast of Unleavened Bread (cleansing and removal of leaven). Psalm 103:2-5 Verses referenced in Linda's worship (bless the Lord, who forgiveth, healeth, redeemeth). Takeaway Betrayal and spiritual attack are experienced by many, but the most powerful response begins within — an 'excellent spirit' before God. By keeping our hearts focused on worship and allowing God to cleanse what is hindering us (especially in the Passover/Unleavened Bread season), we gain protection, clarity, and the capacity to honor even those who oppose us. Practically, choose one or two attitudes or reactions to surrender during this season, commit to worshiping in the midst of opposition, and expect renewal. The community's testimony shows that when people hold their spirit before the Lord, God responds with blessing, healing, and strength to walk through betrayal intact.

Transcripts

Jan:

I was really taken back this morning. We had a situation on Sunday that there was an open door for the an enemy to get in right before the service was happening, and there was such a tremendous assault against going into our service Sunday, and the worship.

People were feeling betrayed to the point of wanting to leave, not even wanting to deal with it. By recognizing it and being able to just hold it up before the Lord, we had an illustrated sermon on this is how we need to enact passover.

Pua:

The feast of Passover is the feast of betrayal. Everything of trouble, and the very spirit of Antichrist. The spirit of Judas generally comes against people of the Lord and after the Feast of Passover. It was after the Feast of Passover that Satan entered the heart of Judas and he went out and betrayed the Lord.

It was the after the Feast of Passover that Pharaoh became a hypocrite and said, go out and worship God and pray for me. They had no sooner gone then he decided he was going to kill most of them and take the rest of them as slaves, and so he went after them. But it was God's opportunity in that betrayal of Pharaoh, even after the judgment, to destroy him.

Unknown:

Do you remember the story of Daniel and how he got into the lion's den? This is the way it begins.

Daniel was preferred above the president and princes because of the excellent spirit was in him. Daniel six three. If your spirit is right before God, really excellent, it is the greatest defense you have. The reason that the enemy or anyone or anything can overcome you is because there is some flaw in your own spirit.

So do not blame another, though they may be many times guilty of aggression against you, or there may be many other things involved, but do not look on that. Keep your eyes on the Lord and the way that your spirit is to be excellent in your worship. In that excellency of your own right spirit, reaching up to the Lord and worshiping him, you'll find your greatest protection.

Pat:

The total judgments that God will bring in the Earth can be looked for after the beautiful spring season when God's people have kept the feast of Passover and open their hearts to Lord. We are not to worry, but we are to be concerned that an excellent spirit be in in us, like it wasn't Daniel. As Daniel worshiped with his windows open, he did not care that his enemies were of the greatest psychic development that existed in ancient Babylon.

The second chapter of Daniel tells about Nebuchadnezzar, the head of gold who had complete psychic control over man and beast. Control over every living thing under his dominion. Daniel was able to exist under the strongest psychic development and devil power in the world and survive because an excellent spirit was found in him.

Jan: And just think he was able to honor these evil men. He give them their rightful place in government, so much so that he was honored and respected even in his religion.

Ron:

Daniel had an excellent spirit to the point of being able to honor even the e evil leaders. That's amazing that he was so focused on his own spirit and on God to make his sure that his spirit was right before God, not before them, but before God. He was able to honor these guys that were really his enemies and able to walk through all that whole thing, and we all know the story and everything that, that he walked through. And God blessed him immensely because of his spirit and the way he positioned himself and stayed there before the Lord.

We get so easily, or I get so easily distracted from my relationship and my spirit before the Lord that it needs to be right before him. It's not all the other stuff. Who's right, who's wrong? That's really not the issue. The issue is how is your spirit reacting to those people or the situation? That's really the issue before the Lord.

Have that right spirit before the Lord, because I think that's everything. Honestly. I think you can have a right spirit before the Lord and walk through what we're walking through in this day with what we're seeing outwardly and also what we're feeling inwardly. I think our spirit's more important than all that before the Lord, and of course, our relationship with Him is more important than all that.

Linda:

Oh God, give us the grace. We will not only worship in the presence of our enemy, but you will spread a table before us in the presence of our enemy and make our cup to run over. Oh Lord, we want to worship you with nothing able to reach us if the enemy comes against us. We will say all the more, give us grace to ignore, all except that we love you and we are in your will, and we will worship you and serve you.

ly name. Bless the Lord o my [:

Sherry:

To me, the Feast of Passover is a time of cleansing. Know what you want to be free of some response in you, some rotten thing in your spirit. You know what they are the things that should not be there. You may be walking with God in a marvelous way and yet find one or two things you have to be rid of.

Rome wasn't built in a day. The Lord has been patiently building and ministering to the sons of God and there is much He's going to do in your life. Just get rid of one thing or name a couple of the most difficult things to your mind. Have that there when the time comes so that what you get help with and are able to go ahead in.

It's going to be a deep experience, this Passover. There can be things like that can come up where the Lord is showing you, let's take care of this so that when we come out of Passover, we could be a whole new creation. The Feast of unleavened bread was created for cleansing, and we have a purpose. We are believing! We're receiving what You're telling us. You've been loving us and You've been trying to show us so many times, and we just open up to it today.
