A remarkable story from nearly a decade ago is making the rounds online again, and it’s easy to understand why. At just 23 weeks into pregnancy, a baby girl named Lynlee was partially removed from her mother’s womb so doctors could operate on a life-threatening tumor, then returned to the womb to continue growing.

Twelve weeks later, Lynlee was delivered again, this time officially entering the world. It’s an extraordinary picture of medical skill, courage, and the fragile complexity of life before birth. And sometimes stories like this leave you with less to explain and more to simply wonder at: how often is God’s work unfolding through hands, knowledge, and people we might otherwise overlook?
