Waiting. It’s never easy. Isaiah spoke of the One who would come and sit on David’s throne. Malachi tells about the forerunner who would prepare the way for this Promised One. Israel was watching. They had waited for decades and centuries. In Israel, a righteous couple continued to pray, asking the Lord to bless them with a baby. Zacharias and Elizabeth welcomed their son, John the Baptist with great joy and gladness. God’s purpose and plan came to fruition in His time.
