00;00;32;20 - 00;01;00;10

Lauren Brollier Newton

Welcome back to the Abundant Coach. Ooh, this is going to be such a good one. And here's why. So much of this game of becoming a coach, being a successful coach is truly about how you're holding yourself in your mind. It's not just woowoo, it's actual brain science. It's the way that we're wired as humans. That your mindset is everything when it comes to your brain actually making physical matter that changes the results of your life.

00;01;00;14 - 00;01;18;27

Lauren Brollier Newton

It used to be woo woo 30, 40 years ago, we didn't have the brain science to back it up, but now we know that our mindset, our thinking is everything. And so today we're going to talk about three daily habits that you can use to create a success mindset. Your success mindset is truly going to determine how successful of a coach you become.

00;01;19;00 - 00;01;39;17

Lauren Brollier Newton

This is some of the tools I'm going to teach you today are truly why I believe I created such a successful business so fast, because I mastered the mindset tools I was learning from my mentors here at Brave Thinking Institute, and I'm going to give you real practical tips, practical, easy to apply tips. Let me say this simple tips.

00;01;39;19 - 00;01;59;24

Lauren Brollier Newton

Sometimes not easy to apply because your mind is going to want to do a different thing. But I'll help you. I'll help you through that. So I actually wanted, start with a quote today, and this is from, the book mock two with Your Hair on Fire The Art of Vision and Self-motivation by Richard Westbrook. Here's what I want to share with you.

00;01;59;24 - 00;02;26;08

Lauren Brollier Newton

It's on page 44 of that book. Goal setting only works when your goal becomes your mindset or expectation. Even if all you do is think of the things you want and write them down. You're want to will be working really well, but your getter will be asleep. Goals have to become beliefs and expectations. So how do you make the goal that you've not yet achieved the belief about yourself?

00;02;26;14 - 00;02;43;19

Lauren Brollier Newton

How do you make it a belief that that is who you are, even though it's not happening now? That's the craziest thing. When you're going toward a goal, when you're going toward a vision, when you're trying to create a success mindset, the mindset has to be that you're already there. And like, how do I get myself to think I'm already there when I'm not there yet?

00;02;43;19 - 00;02;57;18

Lauren Brollier Newton

This is why so many people have a challenge with mindset, and this is why more people don't do it and they use the excuse, I'm going to, I'm going to put this out there boldly. I think a lot of people shy away from the mindset stuff and they use the excuse, oh, that's woo woo or that's like out there.

00;02;57;18 - 00;03;17;23

Lauren Brollier Newton

And I got real goals because it's hard. I actually think that that's the limiting paradigm is that it is actually challenging to hold a success mindset. And so people write it off like, oh, that doesn't work. And it works. It's just rigorous. Just like dieting and exercising like it works to eat less and move more. It's just hella rigorous.

00;03;17;23 - 00;03;41;14

Lauren Brollier Newton

And that's why more people don't do it. You know, that's why we all make the excuses. Oh, I tried that. It didn't work well because rigorous. All right. So we're going into three simple maybe not always easy to apply, but I'll help you. Habits that you can have to create a mindset for success. Because as a coach, you're becoming, for most of you, a solopreneur, you're on this on your own.

00;03;41;14 - 00;04;04;00

Lauren Brollier Newton

You got to self motivate. So the mindset for success is going to be everything. It's going to be everything for whether this business gets off the ground and goes or it doesn't. So here are some practical things you can do to build a success mindset. Number one, what is the vision? Let me be clear with you, especially my brave thinking Institute coaches who are listening to this.

00;04;04;01 - 00;04;22;16

Lauren Brollier Newton

It's easy to get I know that syndrome around this. I've heard vision before. Every success coach says that yes, I have my vision written down. You might have your vision written down, but has it become your mindset because Richard Ellis Brook in this book, he's absolutely right. If your vision doesn't become your mindset, there's too big of a gap still.

00;04;22;18 - 00;04;39;01

Lauren Brollier Newton

So for those of you who don't have a vision or do have a vision, open up your ears to this. Open up your heart and mind because it will help you. Okay, so vision. It's not enough just to kind of know what you want. It's not enough to have a vision, but it's in your mind. But it's not written down.

00;04;39;01 - 00;04;57;21

Lauren Brollier Newton

But it's not really clear. Or sometimes you think this way. Sometimes you think that way. It's not enough to have a 30 page vision, but you only look at it once a year. The vision has to become the mindset. So you want your vision to include if you could just wave a magic wand, have anything in your coaching business, what would it look like?

00;04;57;24 - 00;05;13;25

Lauren Brollier Newton

And if you don't know specifics, you can make it general. You can make a general. If you don't know exactly what you want to coach, but you know you want to help people, start by saying, I'm so happy and grateful now that I wake up every day knowing I'm truly helping people. Okay. There's one. It's it's not even super specific.

00;05;13;25 - 00;05;32;06

Lauren Brollier Newton

It's not a number of clients or the program you're coaching. It's now, for those of you who know more about specifics, like, I would love to have ten VIP clients that invest 12,000 a year and I generate 120,000, and I'm good with that. There's your vision, but you want to have your vision mapped out for the type of clients that you work with.

00;05;32;06 - 00;05;54;17

Lauren Brollier Newton

Like I'm talking personality. The amount of income you're generating, the hours you're working per week, where you're working from, the more you give yourself, the more you give yourself details, the more you can get your mindset around your vision becoming your mindset. So you want to have a very specific vision for the life that you would love.

00;05;54;18 - 00;06;13;07

Lauren Brollier Newton

Now, if it feels constrictive because it's like, how am I ever going to create that? Make it, you know, make it 3 or 5 years from now in your mind, make a vision that's further out. If that feels constrictive to you because you want it sooner, make it a sooner vision, but make it a vision of what you would absolutely love if you can wave a magic wand.

00;06;13;09 - 00;06;31;23

Lauren Brollier Newton

Now caution here. I would highly recommend that you don't stifle your vision based on what you think you can do. Thank God I didn't stifle my my vision because I was a school teacher living in a basement. So if I visioned based on what I thought I could do, I would probably have vision for like $40,000 a year.

00;06;31;26 - 00;06;48;18

Lauren Brollier Newton

But I had enough awareness because I was getting support. I was in coach certification at Brave Thinking Institute, I had mentorship, I had support that I knew how to write a solid vision, and I knew I had a vision for what I would really love, or else it wasn't going to be juicy enough to get me out of bed in the morning anyway.

00;06;48;20 - 00;07;03;26

Lauren Brollier Newton

So when you write your vision, you want it to include all the parts of what you would love. One of the things I wrote in my first vision is as a school teacher, I commuted. I drove a long way to work, sometimes almost an hour and an hour home, and so I had to wake up at like 530 every morning.

00;07;03;29 - 00;07;27;29

Lauren Brollier Newton

And I hated getting up that early. Like, I'm talking like just bane of my existence. I'd get up that early five days a week, so I would wake up at 530 every morning. And one of the things I knew from becoming a coach is I wanted more time, freedom. So I wrote into my first vision. I'm so happy and grateful now that I wake up when my eyes open, meaning I don't have to set an alarm.

00;07;27;29 - 00;07;48;05

Lauren Brollier Newton

I wake up when my eyes open. And I did that. I held that vision true when I when I started coaching full time. So you write everything that you would love about this model, this business, and how you help people knowing that you're not going to know the how, in fact, a great vision you know, you have a great vision when you have no idea how to do it.

00;07;48;05 - 00;08;06;18

Lauren Brollier Newton

It's not convenient and you don't feel ready. If it's convenient, you feel ready and you know how to do it. It's a goal. It's not a vision, and it's okay to have a goal, but then it's like, go do it because you already know how to do it right. A vision is something that pulls your heart, opens your soul, and you're not going to always know how to do it.

00;08;06;21 - 00;08;22;27

Lauren Brollier Newton

And so that's when you know it's a good vision. So you've got this vision. My recommendation is it's stated in the present tense and you're in love with it. If anything feels constrictive, just take it out for now and just get yourself around. I'm in love with this vision. If I had this right now, if someone handed me this on a silver platter, I would be thrilled.

00;08;23;03 - 00;08;38;27

Lauren Brollier Newton

But it's not enough to have that vision one time. So I'm going to pause there and I'm going to give you the second daily mindset tip, the second habit. But then habit three is going to include the vision. So don't just write the vision down and put it in a drawer. Like I'm going to tell you how to use the vision okay.

00;08;38;29 - 00;08;57;03

Lauren Brollier Newton

Now once you have a vision written out of what you would truly love. So like my first vision set, I'm so happy and grateful. Now that I speak, I teach, I coach, I speak on stages all around the world. I've written a book. I am truly making an impact like I've always wanted to make since I was a little girl.

00;08;57;06 - 00;09;23;05

Lauren Brollier Newton

I easily generate $100,000 a year and growing by helping people. I wake up when my eyes open. That was another one of the things. I have a flexible schedule. I love the people I work with. Okay, so that's my vision. Let's just. I'm just going to keep it short and sweet and say, that's my vision. Daily. Habit number two is to not just work with your vision, but to have affirmations that bridge the gap from the current thing you're struggling with to the vision.

00;09;23;07 - 00;09;38;27

Lauren Brollier Newton

So let me give you an example of this. The way that affirmations are often taught is a little bit like, oh, I'm just going to journal these affirmations in the morning, or I'm just going to have like, I'm just going to print out like a list of affirmations, and then I'll kind of connect with them every once in a while.

00;09;38;29 - 00;10;02;06

Lauren Brollier Newton

But what I have found is that doesn't really work. The thing that I have found in personal development that I would love to see a trend getting clearer around this, is that it's not about positive thinking, it's about targeted thinking. And what I mean by that is it's about targeted thinking toward the result you want, because you can positive think about something that's not right for you.

00;10;02;06 - 00;10;24;12

Lauren Brollier Newton

In my first marriage, I was like, oh, it's all going to be okay. And he really does love me. That's positive thinking. And it took me into a whole. So I'm not a big fan of just positive thinking because it doesn't necessarily get you to a result. My mom is like one of the most positive thinkers I know about when it comes to like, she just literally like oversteps the problem and is like, it's all going to be great.

00;10;24;14 - 00;10;42;09

Lauren Brollier Newton

And she's great at that. And it all does turn out great for her. But her thinking hasn't produced like a different amount of money, a different amount of love, a different amount of free time. Like it hasn't produced a tangible, greater result, other than I'm just not worried about the problem. So you can have positive thinking all day long.

00;10;42;12 - 00;11;06;25

Lauren Brollier Newton

But I would recommend that if you actually want to achieve success, you get targeted in your thinking. So here's what you do. You notice your greatest dominating, limiting belief, the limiting belief that dominate your mind. Like I'm not going to make money as a coach, so I can't do it. And how would that ever work out? If you notice that that's your dominant, limiting belief, you take that belief and you flip the script on it with an affirmation.

00;11;06;27 - 00;11;19;29

Lauren Brollier Newton

So I would wake up when I first got certified as a coach, thank God I had a lot of support because I never quit or I never gave up. But I would wake up fearful because I quit my teaching job and then I would wake up like, oh my God, how am I ever going to replace that income?

00;11;20;01 - 00;11;42;05

Lauren Brollier Newton

And that would scare me. And then I would start to feel paralyzed. So because that was one of my highest limiting beliefs, is like, I'm never going to be able to make a living doing this. I had an affirmation and the affirmation that trumped that, or flip the script on that was, I said, every morning when I wake up, I would just repeat over and over again, I'm the most highly successful coach that the San Francisco Bay area has ever seen.

00;11;42;07 - 00;12;00;28

Lauren Brollier Newton

Now, I was a big distance from that. I was waking up at my parents basement at the time, so I was a large distance from that being true. But we know what becomes true is what you think about how you present things, how you hold things, the way you make meaning of things. So when I'm telling myself over and over again, I'm the most successful coach the Bay area has ever seen.

00;12;01;00 - 00;12;22;00

Lauren Brollier Newton

Now I'm targeting my thinking to the result I want. Now, am I the most successful coach the Bay has ever seen? I don't know, I don't know what other coaches have come out of the San Francisco Bay area, but I would say that I have created a top 2% of women businesses in the world, which is like 2% of women owned businesses in the whole world that ever become $1 million businesses.

00;12;22;03 - 00;12;48;22

Lauren Brollier Newton

So I don't know if I'm the most successful coach the San Francisco Bay area's ever seen. But I do know I'm in the top percent, 2% of women worldwide in terms of women owned businesses. So you can see how the evidence of my life didn't show that I could be successful. But my thinking did. And over time, I bridged the the gap that was there in reality, right toward the result I wanted because I targeted my thinking.

00;12;48;25 - 00;13;10;21

Lauren Brollier Newton

Now, notice I didn't just write it on a flowery, pretty piece of paper. I said that affirmation every day, multiple times a day to bridge the gap in my thinking. All right, so number one is have a vision. Number two is have a targeted affirmation to your greatest dominant limiting belief up until now, okay. If you don't know what to write for your affirmation, just make it the opposite.

00;13;10;23 - 00;13;31;16

Lauren Brollier Newton

Know that you're not going to feel it right away, but your brain is making you matter. It's making a new neural pathways. So let me just break this down for a second with vision and with affirmations. Why do they work? Like what's the science behind it? Well, first and foremost, your subconscious mind is a storehouse of information. It holds every memory you ever had.

00;13;31;20 - 00;13;53;12

Lauren Brollier Newton

It holds everything you've ever watched on TV, everything you've read in magazines. I know that they say that the mind doesn't retain everything. It's it reads. And you're right, your your ability to recall. It might not be 100% there, but I will tell you that your subconscious mind store is a hell of a lot more than you think it does, because you might not have retained anything from that article you read.

00;13;53;14 - 00;14;18;26

Lauren Brollier Newton

But if ten years later you read the same article, you're going to get a familiarity. That's because it was all stored in the subconscious mind. So to frame this up, the subconscious mind is processing a football fields worth of information in any given second. Where's your conscious mind? What you're aware of that you're thinking is only processing what's the tip of the pen so you can see your subconscious mind holds all the power, but we don't work with it hardly ever.

00;14;18;29 - 00;14;45;16

Lauren Brollier Newton

So what is your subconscious mind? Do your subconscious mind is what's telling the story about who you are and what you think you can do. And your subconscious mind is responsible for 94% 94% of your behavior. It's all your habitual behavior, and most behavior is habitual. So you're not even making choices of what you're doing. You're just moving around based on your subconscious mind, targeted affirmations and vision.

00;14;45;16 - 00;15;20;02

Lauren Brollier Newton

When they're repeated, they actually change your subconscious programing. Don't you want better programing to influence that 94% of your behavior? Yes you do, I do. So when you read a vision over and over again, especially anything that's vividly imagined and has feeling to it creates that subconscious mind change very quickly. And then those affirmations are making those new normal neural pathways in your brain, and pretty soon your behavior changes and you don't even know your behavior changes and you can't even tell your thinking's changed, but it's because of those habits.

00;15;20;05 - 00;15;38;20

Lauren Brollier Newton

Okay. So vision affirmations. And then here's tip number three. I like to do a morning routine. If you already brush your teeth in the morning, you can have a morning routine that works. If you already pour a cup of coffee in the morning, you can have a morning routine that works. Here's what I know for sure. Habit stacking works.

00;15;38;20 - 00;15;58;07

Lauren Brollier Newton

So if you already drink coffee in the morning, just journal when you're drinking that coffee because you already have a habit in place that you've established over time. Drinking coffee, and you can just add whatever you would love into that small doses at first, and start a new habit on the old habit that's already established. So if you don't have a morning practice, this is an easy way to establish a new morning practice.

00;15;58;07 - 00;16;20;22

Lauren Brollier Newton

Okay, so I like to call the morning journaling practice that I do. And this is a mix of everything I've learned at Brave Thinking Institute from my mentor Mary. Just put it into a way that was easy for me to remember. And so G vibes is what I call this morning routine. So G vibes is the G stands for gratitude in your morning journal.

00;16;20;26 - 00;16;39;14

Lauren Brollier Newton

And if you're not a writer, I highly recommend just do this only you are going to see it. Don't give me excuses about writer's block and all of this. This is you're doing this just for you. Nobody's going to see it. You're listing in for the G ten things that You're Grateful for. I learned this when I became a dream builder coach here at Brave Thinking Institute.

00;16;39;14 - 00;16;59;25

Lauren Brollier Newton

I got certified as a dream builder coach, and one of the tools within that coaching program is this daily gratitude practice. And the practice is that you start your day with gratitude. Now, I used to roll my eyes at gratitude practice because I'd be like, oh, you know, for the goody two shoes of the world. I didn't understand the benefits to your health, to your mind, to your life of what gratitude does.

00;16;59;27 - 00;17;22;03

Lauren Brollier Newton

But what gratitude does is it's actually the frequency Mary would say. Mary Morrissey would say, gratitude is the frequency harmonious with abundance. So when you're thinking from a place of gratitude, you're actually thinking abundant. This is the abundance coach. Hello. Best practical tip I could give you is when you think gratitude, your mind is thinking about everything you have.

00;17;22;05 - 00;17;44;22

Lauren Brollier Newton

And why is that abundant? Because in that moment there is no lack. There's nothing you want. You're there's nothing that need because you're tuned to the frequency of gratitude, which is 100% harmonious with abundance. In that moment, you already are the successful coach. There's nothing missing. This is this is how results occur. So you start with gratitude. My recommendation is list ten things that you're grateful for.

00;17;44;22 - 00;18;07;18

Lauren Brollier Newton

Now don't wait till you feel grateful. Mary calls this generative gratitude because by doing the gratitude, you're generating a feeling state of gratitude. So you write down ten things you're grateful for. The V and G vibes stands for vision. This is how you bring your vision into your daily practice is you read it, or you think about it, or you meditate on it or you write it again.

00;18;07;18 - 00;18;23;26

Lauren Brollier Newton

I don't care how you work with it, you just work with it. So that vision you wrote down in step one that you created in Daily habit number one, you bring it into G vibes, and every day that means you're going to have a touch with your vision. So that's the V. Okay, let me give you one more tip about that.

00;18;23;26 - 00;18;44;08

Lauren Brollier Newton

Don't force yourself if reading the whole vision doesn't feel like giving to you. What if you said it out loud? What if you recorded it on your voice recorder? What if you wrote it again? What if you just imagined one scene from your vision? What if you looked up images that match your vision? It really doesn't matter how you do it, it's just that you're reminding yourself, this is my vision in the present tense.

00;18;44;10 - 00;19;12;12

Lauren Brollier Newton

Okay? The I in G vibes stands for intention. What is your intention for this day? I like to look at my calendar and set an intention based on what I've planned. So for the I for intention, I'm like, okay, I'm recording three podcast episodes today. What's my intention for this podcast episodes? Because if I don't set an intention, I'm going to default to the pattern that my subconscious mind already holds.

00;19;12;19 - 00;19;26;06

Lauren Brollier Newton

Now, I think I'm pretty badass at podcasts, but I don't want to stay at the same level forever. I want to get better. I want every time you guys listen to an episode to be like, dang, she's on fire today. And then the next time, whoa, that's the best episode I've ever heard. Even better than the last ones.

00;19;26;06 - 00;19;43;20

Lauren Brollier Newton

That's what I want. So when I'm setting my intention for my damn looking on what's already on my calendar and I'm saying, what's my intention for those activities? So I just want to default to my normal pattern. Or can I set an intention that this is the very best podcast episode I've ever recorded? It's fire. More people have heard it than ever before.

00;19;43;22 - 00;20;01;21

Lauren Brollier Newton

At least 10,000 people listen to this episode. Set an intention. Where do you want the energy to go now? It doesn't have to be for things already on your calendar. If there's a bold move you've been wanting to make and you can't get yourself to make it, make the intention. Like this is the day that I am the successful coach doing this.

00;20;01;23 - 00;20;24;05

Lauren Brollier Newton

That's the I. The B stands for B list, and I don't mean B less like I'm an A-list celebrity. I'm a celebrity. I mean B who are you being today? And this B list is actually what's going to change your results because your vision. Great. I said it in the morning, but it's not who I am yet because it's not fully in my subconscious mind.

00;20;24;05 - 00;20;43;02

Lauren Brollier Newton

So how do I bring it? Throughout the day, the B and G vibe stands for B list, B list. Who are you being today? So I love to tell a story of when I wrote my very first vision on becoming a certified coach and being a certified coach and making money and helping people was 100% a part of my vision.

But the other part of my vision was I wanted to fall in love again. So I started because I was in this mentorship and studying the Dream Builder program and getting certified. It was so in my worldview that I started to notice that I was saying I wanted to fall in love again. I'm saying I want to be this highly successful coach, but when I would walk into Starbucks or walk into the gym, I'd put my eyes down on the ground and hope that nobody talked to me.

00;21;05;13 - 00;21;24;02

Lauren Brollier Newton

That was an old pattern. I'm kind of, if you can imagine this. I know because I'm crazy, because I'm recording a podcast, but I'm kind of an introvert. I would much prefer to sit on my couch and read my book and like, hang out with my cats and my hubby, then go out and do anything else. So don't feel like if you're more introverted, you can't be successful.

00;21;24;04 - 00;21;49;02

But I was noticing because that's more of my personality, that I would walk into a room and look down at the ground and hope nobody talked to me. Well, how am I going to be a successful coach and fall in love again if that's my energy? So I created, based on Mary's guidance, A to B list, and the B list I created were three words open, warm, loving, open, warm, loving.

00;21;49;04 - 00;22;04;17

Lauren Brollier Newton

So every day I'd have this to be list and I'd be sitting in my car saying to myself, open, warm, loving. That's the successful coach. That's the woman who's in love. To the point where I'd walk into Starbucks. I'd smile at people, talk to people, be open, be loving, look at people at the gym, be like, oh, that guy's cute.

00;22;04;17 - 00;22;28;05

Lauren Brollier Newton

Like, I was open to things because I was setting a new be a new vibration. And so the B list helps you calibrate to be the successful coach now, not when you feel more comfortable. I didn't feel comfortable walking to Starbucks, looking people in the eyes and smiling, but I did it in service of the dream. So the B list helps you actually be the thing that you're saying that you want, which changes your results.

The E in G vibes stands for enlightenment. Enlightenment is anything that expands your awareness. Now, if you're brave, thinking is to coach or you're in the study with us, you know you've got plenty of resources. With your becoming a certified coach, you have a lot to study. That's building your awareness. If you're in another program with us, you're doing a lot of awareness work.

So anything that creates more enlightenment for you about who you are in the life you're building and how results occur and how to do this thing, that's enlightenment. So it could be reading, watching a video, meditating, anything of that nature. Now the S stands for scribe. I stole this from Hal Elrod, who wrote the book five five Minute Morning or Five Minute Miracle or whatever.

How? Because he calls his ass and his acronym scribing because writing didn't fit the acronym. The W didn't fit the acronym. So scribe S, I encourage you, even if you don't want to journal this whole thing, which you don't have to, the s just makes it so that you write a little bit. Maybe it's writing your affirmation or just writing a couple things, because writing is one of by hand.

It's one of the few things that activates both sides of your brain, which you want again, to start creating these pathways. So that's G vibes. Now, what I love about G vibes, and I'm going to take full credit for this since I created the acronym is it can be done in five minutes. The G can be one minute.

00;23;50;01 - 00;24;09;10

The V can be one minute. The AI can be one minute. It could be done in two hours. If you want to have a long, luxurious morning practice, you just stretch them out. But that is the key to creating a success mindset. As a coach, you have your vision. You start thinking like the person in the vision and you bridge that with number two, the daily habit of one affirmation.

00;24;09;13 - 00;24;32;16

That's bridging the gap on your greatest limiting belief. And then finally, the G vibes morning routine. I promise you, if you do it, it's going to change your life. So if you're doing it, drop me a line, right? Podcast at Brave Thinking institute.com. Tell me how it's working for you.
