Matt Austin:Pretty great.
Matt Austin:It's Anomaly Presents with your friends, the Podcastronauts.
Matt Austin:Sounds like a lot of supernatural baloney to me.
Matt Austin:Supernatural, perhaps.
Matt Austin:Baloney, perhaps not.
Speaker B:Oh.
Matt Austin:Oh, no.
Matt Austin:It's been so long.
Matt Austin:I don't know how to use anything anymore.
Matt Austin:We're back.
Matt Austin:Oh, God.
Megan Murphy:No worries.
Speaker B:I was like, it's me.
Matt Austin:No.
Megan Murphy:Is it me?
Matt Austin:Nope.
Megan Murphy:With our powers combined, we can up tech.
Megan Murphy:I believe in us.
Matt Austin:It's Big Finger Todd and the Monsters.
Matt Austin:Here I am.
Matt Austin:How we doing, everybody?
Matt Austin:Welcome back to the Anomaly Presents podcast.
Matt Austin:My name is Matt Austin, joined as always by the Podcastronauts.
Matt Austin:We've got Megan Murphy.
Megan Murphy:It's me.
Megan Murphy:I'm back.
Megan Murphy:They tried to stop me and they can't.
Megan Murphy:They didn't.
Megan Murphy:They invited me and they're real nice about it.
Matt Austin:Yeah, I was gonna say.
Matt Austin:Nobody's trying to.
Megan Murphy:I was trying to be cool.
Matt Austin:That's.
Matt Austin:That's fair.
Matt Austin:We did.
Matt Austin:We.
Matt Austin:We had barriers up at the gates to keep KP Out.
Matt Austin:Oh, not kp.
Matt Austin:Oh, no.
Megan Murphy:Oh, no.
Megan Murphy:You're just trying to take it from me.
Megan Murphy:Oh, my God.
Speaker B:You know, I was already inside 10 minutes early.
Speaker B:Nope.
Matt Austin:He actually unlocked the gates for all of us.
Matt Austin:It's Kristen Pope.
Matt Austin:Pacheco.
Speaker B:Excited to do this for the next year.
Speaker B:Probably watch fun stuff and talk about fun stuff or bad stuff.
Matt Austin:So it's been same thing, what, two and a half months since we last joined you.
Matt Austin:A lot of stuff has happened.
Matt Austin:Good, bad, ugly.
Matt Austin:We're here to talk about one thing in particular.
Matt Austin:And it was all good, all the time.
Matt Austin: It was the Anomaly: Matt Austin:And we're here to talk about all of it.
Matt Austin:Where do we want to start?
Matt Austin:Probably at the beginning, Right.
Megan Murphy:I think.
Megan Murphy:I think we gotta.
Megan Murphy:There's no way.
Megan Murphy:Our brains.
Speaker B:I guess we can start with that.
Speaker B:We had a wonderful setup, right?
Speaker B:Like a big, big shout out to.
Speaker B:To Dan and Magnus for creating an experience.
Speaker B:Right?
Speaker B:Like, Magnus designed that monster mouth.
Speaker B:We all hung it up and it was a wonderful, wonderful.
Speaker B:I hope everyone enjoyed it.
Speaker B:As they came through, Dan made some new posters, which you can probably see, you know, in the back there.
Megan Murphy:The Mystic Lounge in the front.
Speaker B:Yes.
Matt Austin:Do it.
Megan Murphy:Just beautiful aesthetics all around.
Megan Murphy:Different corners of the theater transformed.
Megan Murphy:Oh, yeah, yeah.
Megan Murphy:A picture of Magnus downstairs in our.
Megan Murphy:I guess.
Megan Murphy:Was it Carnival Skelly Lounge this year?
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Matt Austin:I think this might be the most extensively we've decorated in our History to this point.
Megan Murphy:The fact that we had full on carnival games that you could play in the inner lobby.
Megan Murphy:That changed out every day.
Megan Murphy:What's wrong with us?
Megan Murphy:Why would we do that for you, our audience.
Speaker B:And so that Matt could be a carnival barker and live his.
Megan Murphy:I was just about to say we unveiled a side of Matt Daturk that glint in his eye that I've never seen, which was like, come up, come, roll up, roll up, suckers.
Matt Austin:It is.
Matt Austin:Yeah, exactly.
Matt Austin:I think the biggest thing I know, I learned in that weekend is that Matt really missed out.
Matt Austin:He should have been a carnival barker.
Matt Austin:And it all makes sense now.
Matt Austin:Like this.
Matt Austin:The last seven years of this have all culminated in realizing, oh, no.
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Matt Austin:He is the ringmaster.
Megan Murphy:That's a nickname.
Megan Murphy:It took us seven years.
Matt Austin:Oh, man.
Megan Murphy:He did it.
Speaker B:Yes, yes.
Megan Murphy:And we've recorded it, so we can't forget it.
Megan Murphy:That's not this time.
Matt Austin:So, yeah, we did bang up job on decorating the theater.
Matt Austin:Everybody came out and enjoyed it and then we all went home because that's what we did.
Matt Austin:We just took a look at really cool carnival decorations and that was it.
Matt Austin:And it was a really fun time.
Matt Austin:No, we actually showed a bunch of movies too.
Matt Austin:That we wouldn't be a film festival without the films.
Matt Austin:And this year is no exception.
Matt Austin:We did show some and they were all really, really fun.
Speaker B:We had filmmakers come.
Megan Murphy:We had surprises come.
Megan Murphy:I don't want.
Megan Murphy:I want no spoilers.
Megan Murphy:I was gonna say story to tell.
Matt Austin:Give a.
Matt Austin:A shout out to the folks that came.
Matt Austin:Some folks that.
Matt Austin:That made shorts like Sam Topa for the Stain and Bittersweet.
Matt Austin:Tevan Heinz made that.
Matt Austin:Joseph Rocco Plesia and John Schiavone made a catamaran.
Matt Austin:We have a picture of our friend Ashlyn Taylor Kreiss.
Matt Austin:She's in this beautiful photo here.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:Look at us cuties.
Megan Murphy:Look at us.
Speaker B:Dead Talent Society mustache.
Matt Austin:Dead Talent Society mustache.
Megan Murphy:You look like scamps.
Matt Austin:We do.
Megan Murphy:We do other carnival worker best fashion.
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Matt Austin:We all dressed it in character.
Matt Austin:It was a wonderful time.
Matt Austin:And then I guess we'll jump right to it.
Matt Austin:We also had a surprise guest.
Speaker B:We have so chic.
Speaker B:So yeah.
Speaker B:So shook.
Megan Murphy:I feel like we need.
Megan Murphy:We.
Megan Murphy:We should set it up.
Megan Murphy:Yes.
Megan Murphy:The beautiful.
Megan Murphy:So Maya Yuka, the star of Sound of Love.
Megan Murphy:Now this is why our voices sound weird when we talk about this.
Megan Murphy:We had no idea.
Megan Murphy:Also, Sound of Love is a movie from Japan.
Megan Murphy:This is not like from New York City or even like somewhere in the US where like maybe they'd come to us A mid level city, just genre film festival.
Megan Murphy:No, completely from Japan.
Megan Murphy:And as I said before, with no notice, apparently bought a ticket, was sitting in the theater and then all of a sudden, bubbles of sound.
Megan Murphy:I'm working Merch and I start hearing the actresses here.
Megan Murphy:And we're all like, no.
Megan Murphy:And so I was like, no, no.
Megan Murphy:It looks like the actress from the movie.
Megan Murphy:And I know that some of us dead ass were like, absolutely not.
Megan Murphy:We would know.
Megan Murphy:It couldn't be just like a weird coincidence, right?
Megan Murphy:Guess what?
Megan Murphy:Guess what, listeners.
Megan Murphy:It was her.
Megan Murphy:The actress in the movie we're watching is standing there in the lobby.
Megan Murphy:We all start peeking around the corner just to be like, is this for real?
Speaker B:And she even took out the sunglasses.
Speaker B:She had the sunglasses from the movie.
Speaker B:She was ready.
Megan Murphy:She's standing next to the poster of the movie that she's on.
Megan Murphy:Oh my God.
Megan Murphy:So of course we, we scramble real hard to be real slick.
Megan Murphy:We want to be like, thank you, thank you.
Megan Murphy:I think we're trying to.
Megan Murphy:Because she has an interpreter with her.
Megan Murphy:And I think thank you because we're all desperately trying to communicate like what?
Megan Murphy:And thank you and why.
Megan Murphy:But also thank you, thank you.
Megan Murphy:A couple of us rushed over to merch and filled up a bag, I think with any piece of Anomaly stuff.
Megan Murphy:As you can tell if you can see this photo, people watching on Twitch, she wore Anomaly hat.
Megan Murphy:And, and, and here's what's amazing.
Megan Murphy:First she stuck around for at least a half hour talking to people.
Megan Murphy:Did not have to again, bought a ticket, felt real bad about that she's there.
Megan Murphy:And then her social media was just like, she had pictures of this bathroom cell, this gorgeous bathroom selfie with a hat.
Megan Murphy:She says, I'm Anomaly crew now.
Megan Murphy:Like, like, oh, we're like, oh my God, we're all, we're all blushing.
Megan Murphy:Like just what a surprise director too.
Speaker B:So it was like nice to see the love kind of spread around.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:Oh my God.
Megan Murphy:Like just we're all here going like, anything can happen at Anopoly.
Megan Murphy:Sometimes we don't even know.
Matt Austin:Months later, still shocked.
Matt Austin:And I should say thank you very much to Kenya at reviewsmayvary on Instagram for spotting our friend here and letting us all know that we needed to go, oh my God, talk to Samaya Yuka, meet her.
Megan Murphy:And going, you came up to me and said the actress is here.
Megan Murphy:And I straight to her face said, of course not.
Matt Austin:The exact conversation I had with Kenya when she came around the corner and came to merch.
Matt Austin:Because that's where I was working she's like, the actors.
Matt Austin:The actress is here.
Matt Austin:And I went, what actress?
Matt Austin:What are you talking?
Matt Austin:The actress from the movie.
Matt Austin:Like, the one that was just.
Matt Austin:The Japanese movie that was just on.
Matt Austin:Yes.
Speaker B:Now.
Matt Austin:Yes.
Speaker B:And every single one of us just had, like, the biggest eyes just staring at each other like, can you believe this?
Megan Murphy:So we took a group photo, and we're, like, giggling and not able to talk.
Speaker B:Just like, starstruck.
Matt Austin:Starstruck beyond starstruck.
Matt Austin:And again, thank you to Kenya, because Kenya did also work the merch table while we all took the picture.
Matt Austin:I don't know, kp.
Matt Austin:I don't know if you knew that, but, yeah, Kenya was working merch for us.
Speaker B:She's like, go take a photo.
Megan Murphy:We could not.
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:Thank you all.
Matt Austin:Love to Kenya.
Matt Austin:You're.
Matt Austin:You're mvp.
Megan Murphy:Honestly, day one for first year.
Matt Austin:First year and Ride or Die since, and we couldn't appreciate you more.
Matt Austin:Thank you for.
Matt Austin:For even getting, you know, drafted into working our merchandise tables.
Megan Murphy:How long it would have taken us.
Matt Austin:Oh, my goodness.
Megan Murphy:We would have seen the photos on social media later and said, wait, what?
Matt Austin:She was there?
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:Oh, my God.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:Oh.
Matt Austin:In our defense, we had already been at the theater for120,000 hours beforehand.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Like, five, six days at that point in time.
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Megan Murphy:Thanks again to Zomeya Yuka for making our night our festival.
Megan Murphy:I just.
Megan Murphy:You know what?
Megan Murphy:Sometimes fun surprises happen in this world still, and it's nice to remember that.
Matt Austin:Absolutely.
Matt Austin:One of the wildest experiences.
Matt Austin:From there, I guess we can jump more into the movies.
Matt Austin:We had our first kids feature or family feature in Anomaly this year with Flow.
Matt Austin:So we got to see a bunch of happy faces from a bunch of families that stopped by to check it out.
Megan Murphy:Oh, hey, there are children here.
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Speaker B:So many children.
Speaker B:They're having fun playing the carnival games.
Speaker B:Cannot decide what prize they'd like.
Megan Murphy:It was so cute.
Matt Austin:That was kind of my favorite.
Matt Austin:Coming back and training us three or four times for different stuff because they decided they didn't want whatever the Wacky Wall Walker or whatever it was that we were handing out.
Matt Austin:So good.
Megan Murphy:Oh.
Speaker B:Glow in the Dark Cats.
Speaker B:The Little cat.
Matt Austin:That's what it was.
Matt Austin:Yeah, I just.
Matt Austin:I just found one of those in my jeans.
Megan Murphy:That's the best kind of giveaway swag.
Megan Murphy:What?
Megan Murphy:Surprise.
Matt Austin:I don't even remember putting this in my pocket, but there it is.
Matt Austin:Cool.
Speaker B:Runner up, right?
Matt Austin:That was our runner up.
Matt Austin:Yep.
Matt Austin:It actually just won a Golden Globe for best Animated feature, which kind of cracked me up because I didn't watch the Golden Globes, but my mom texted me and said thank you for inviting us to the movie.
Matt Austin:We felt really hip watching the Golden Globes and having seen one of the movies.
Megan Murphy:Anomaly Colon.
Megan Murphy:We make you hip.
Megan Murphy:I keep forgetting to write these ideas down.
Megan Murphy:We should have like 50 T shirts at this point.
Speaker B:Oh, yeah.
Matt Austin:Print on demand one day.
Matt Austin:Print on demand coming soon.
Matt Austin:We love the ideas.
Matt Austin:You don't have to buy them.
Matt Austin:We'll just put them out there.
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Matt Austin:And then our.
Matt Austin:Our feature audience award winner was Dead Talent Society, which I can't wait for more people to see.
Matt Austin:I'm dying to know when that's gonna come out.
Megan Murphy:Yes.
Matt Austin:So wonderful in America, y'all.
Megan Murphy:It's the one.
Megan Murphy:I'll put a smile on your face.
Megan Murphy:Maybe.
Megan Murphy:Maybe a little.
Megan Murphy:A little.
Megan Murphy:A little like bittersweet in your heart.
Megan Murphy:It's about found family.
Megan Murphy:And now everyone knows why we gave out mustaches and the haunting licenses.
Megan Murphy:I had.
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Speaker B:Or somebody came up to me the next day when I had no voice asking if I had more haunting licenses.
Speaker B:And I could not find them.
Speaker B:And I'm like, I think we gave out every single one of them because I couldn't find any anywhere.
Speaker B:But, you know.
Megan Murphy:I.
Megan Murphy:I'm a little proud because I went through the screener scene by scene, trying to get the best.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:The best look at the haunting license and the logo because they have a very specific logo for like their.
Megan Murphy:The Haunting bureau.
Megan Murphy:And I'm like, no, no.
Megan Murphy:The people at Anomaly deserve the closest to a screen accurate thing that of.
Megan Murphy:They've not seen yet, but they'll know later.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Insanely talented.
Matt Austin:Unbelievable.
Speaker B:And the people loved it.
Speaker B:People love the mustaches.
Speaker B:It was a joy watching everyone walk around with those.
Megan Murphy:I was like, here's the thing.
Megan Murphy:I kind of want some fake mustaches.
Megan Murphy:So what I have to do is convince everyone at Anomaly that it's super important that we get this for the movie.
Megan Murphy:And it turns out I was.
Megan Murphy:I was right for the reason I said it was and not for my private own reason.
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Matt Austin:I can take you behind the scenes on the conversation of should we buy fake mustaches?
Speaker B:The resounding yes.
Matt Austin:Should we get fake mustaches?
Matt Austin:Yes.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Matt Austin:Okay.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:That was the.
Matt Austin:I don't know that Anomaly has ever come to a decision quicker than should you buy?
Matt Austin:And then it was just, can we find mustaches that are inexpensive but also will not peel the top layer of skin off of your lip?
Speaker B:We also can't forget what's some other fun giveaways?
Speaker B:Vanessa Wrote.
Speaker B:We had the postcards mag that you made for, for that mail.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker B:And Vanessa.
Megan Murphy:There'S, there's blood stains on them.
Megan Murphy:It says emergency only.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Vanessa asked I think like for two people, got like two volunteers.
Speaker B:I wasn't in there.
Speaker B:And then like hand wrote them using.
Megan Murphy:The postcard and oh my God, I.
Megan Murphy:Vanessa, thank you.
Megan Murphy:I love that at least some of them actually went through the mail.
Matt Austin:Unbelievable that.
Matt Austin:That was one of my favorite films of the year and I think people really kind of enjoyed that one.
Matt Austin:That was.
Matt Austin:It did exactly what we were hoping it would.
Megan Murphy:Yeah, it's like a classic kind of sleeper.
Megan Murphy:Like we're like, listen, you're gonna watch it, you're gonna go on a journey and on the other side you're gonna think about it for like 10, 15 minutes and then all of a sudden you're going like holy crap, that was a really good movie.
Matt Austin:I look forward to this summer when people are talking about that like they did red rooms this year.
Megan Murphy:How wild is it that now there's like red rooms everywhere?
Megan Murphy:I'm like, or you know what you could have done?
Megan Murphy: have come to come to anomaly: Megan Murphy:That's all I'm saying.
Matt Austin:Tanya was red rooms in stop motion last year.
Matt Austin:This year it's going to be flow and dead mail.
Megan Murphy:Hell yeah.
Speaker B:We got lucky for dead mail.
Speaker B:We had a great community partner.
Speaker B:It was WXXI classical.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker B:So, yep, much, much appreciated with that.
Speaker B:A great fit.
Matt Austin:Absolutely.
Matt Austin:What other fun things happened?
Matt Austin:I mean it's hard to reflect now two months later because it's.
Megan Murphy:Oh, oh you know what?
Megan Murphy:Because I'm going through the website.
Megan Murphy:Yeah, this is, this is super important.
Megan Murphy:And also another sales pitch.
Megan Murphy:Listen everybody, if you get something cool like an annual pass holder, you know what you get?
Megan Murphy:You know what we did this year that we are absolutely doing next year, if only for ourselves.
Megan Murphy:And at the passholders pass pickup and reception we had because we're adorable, a baked potato bar because we like themes and potatoes.
Megan Murphy:One of them so you could come pick up your pass and get a baked potato and load it with deliciousness.
Megan Murphy:There was pulled pork there.
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:Not just sour cream.
Megan Murphy:Sour cream's great.
Megan Murphy:We had like protein you could put on your potato.
Megan Murphy:People went a little ham in a good way.
Megan Murphy:They're like the eyes got wide, a smile, salivating.
Speaker B:A big shout out to Meline's Catering for that.
Matt Austin:Melin took such good care of us all weekend.
Matt Austin:We love them.
Matt Austin:Oh yeah, Take amazing care of us always.
Megan Murphy:But this is, it was important.
Megan Murphy:We should probably also talk about shorts.
Megan Murphy:Thank you, kp.
Speaker B:Well, we could talk about baked potato bar.
Speaker B:We can go.
Megan Murphy:We.
Megan Murphy:We'll loop back.
Matt Austin:This is the thing.
Matt Austin:It's.
Matt Austin:It's free flowing because we had a big potato bar.
Speaker B:We had a trivia, I guess keep it on the potato train.
Speaker B:Petite poutine.
Speaker B:We had great trivia night.
Speaker B:It was hosted by rock game night.
Speaker B:So.
Speaker B:And did they end up making a special?
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:Oh, yes.
Megan Murphy:Oh, my God.
Megan Murphy:So this is so cool.
Megan Murphy:Okay.
Megan Murphy:So yeah.
Megan Murphy:The name of the game is it kills.
Matt Austin:Yes.
Megan Murphy:My brain.
Megan Murphy:Okay.
Megan Murphy:So to, you know, do a cool themed poutine for that.
Megan Murphy:What they ended up coming up with was it was meatloaf murder.
Megan Murphy:So it was meatloaf on poutine.
Megan Murphy:But get this, because this is the cute part.
Megan Murphy:They had a little cookie cutter, like tiny little ginger man.
Megan Murphy:Ginger man.
Megan Murphy:Gingerbread man shaped.
Megan Murphy:And they cut out little meatloaf men, put it on top and then put.
Megan Murphy:Put a knife through it and squirted ketchup on it.
Megan Murphy:It was adorable to everyone who ordered it.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:And you have make sure you get there in the next two weeks to enjoy some delicious poutine.
Megan Murphy:Who knew that this was our last time there?
Megan Murphy:Everybody.
Megan Murphy:So enjoy it while you have it.
Megan Murphy:We appreciate and celebrate petite poutinery.
Megan Murphy:Thank you.
Matt Austin:Yes, yes.
Matt Austin:Ronnie and the team there take such good care of us and we're gonna miss them dearly.
Matt Austin:Absolutely dearly.
Matt Austin:It's nothing anybody hasn't said already about them, but absolutely incredible people there.
Matt Austin:And we will say it again ad nauseam.
Matt Austin:We'll say it next year how much we miss them.
Speaker B:Yes.
Megan Murphy:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker B:And then Saturday, Red, White and Brew.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Speaker B:Where was the delicious food from?
Speaker B:I had laryngitis, so I had to go sleepy early.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Matt Austin:That was from Namaste Grill out on, on Jefferson there.
Matt Austin:It was delicious.
Matt Austin:Highly recommend you go there anytime.
Matt Austin:It's.
Matt Austin:It's maybe my favorite Indian food in Rochester.
Matt Austin:They took great care of us along with Stacy and Omar at Red, White and Brew.
Matt Austin:Always a good time there.
Speaker B:The construction is over on State street.
Megan Murphy:So you go park there.
Megan Murphy:Get there easily.
Speaker B:Have a nice drink, relax.
Matt Austin:It's a nice parking lot in the back.
Matt Austin:Like there's really.
Matt Austin:It's.
Matt Austin:It's the least stressful place you can go and have a really nice glass of wine.
Megan Murphy:New York City, it's accessible now, everybody.
Megan Murphy:It was worth it when it wasn't.
Megan Murphy:But now it's just like there's no excuse.
Matt Austin:Yes.
Megan Murphy:You can just park and Walk in there now.
Matt Austin:The absolute chillest time you can have.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Speaker B:We can't forget our Sunday coffee and donuts with first year with Pandemonium Coffee.
Matt Austin:Pandemonium.
Megan Murphy:It was lovely.
Matt Austin:That was some delicious coffee.
Speaker B:And the best way to start.
Speaker B:Start the Sunday programming after many long days.
Megan Murphy:Give you the sugar, we give you the caffeine, and then we keep walking by the table going like, well, maybe anything left in here.
Megan Murphy:Definitely picked up the coffee box at one.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:I'll help take care of this.
Megan Murphy:No worries.
Megan Murphy:I'll finish it off.
Megan Murphy:Don't worry about it.
Megan Murphy:I'm a hero.
Speaker B:Yep.
Megan Murphy:Ah, lovely.
Speaker B:Yes, wonderful.
Matt Austin:I do also feel bad we didn't mention that Greenough took care of us for our.
Matt Austin:Our decorations when we were doing setup.
Matt Austin:Rochester renovation, as always.
Megan Murphy:Yes.
Matt Austin:Purveyors of everything you could ever want, all in one roof.
Megan Murphy:And for sure.
Megan Murphy:Yeah, for sure.
Megan Murphy:Some of those photos that were downstairs in the Skelly Lounge, absolutely haunted.
Megan Murphy:Like, 1%.
Megan Murphy:Like, 100%.
Megan Murphy:You're looking at them going, yep, there's some souls in here.
Megan Murphy:And we do that.
Megan Murphy:We provide that free of charge.
Megan Murphy:Yes.
Speaker B:A free haunting, if you will.
Matt Austin:It's not just a haunted mansion.
Matt Austin:It's anomaly.
Speaker B:But now that you have your haunting licenses, you can join them.
Matt Austin:Yeah, right.
Megan Murphy:That's what I'm saying.
Megan Murphy:Make a little cash on the side.
Megan Murphy:Everybody.
Megan Murphy:You're all legal now.
Megan Murphy:Don't get busted by the ghost police bureaucracy.
Megan Murphy:Wild.
Speaker B:Yeah, we don't want that.
Megan Murphy:We don't want that.
Megan Murphy:No.
Matt Austin:And also want to give a shout out to Dorje adornments for taking care of us with popcorn.
Megan Murphy:Oh, my God, that was so awesome.
Speaker B:Buttering all of you up.
Megan Murphy:Yeah, brilliant.
Megan Murphy:But, like, literally be able to give people, like, you know, our pass holders.
Megan Murphy:We take care of y'all.
Megan Murphy:We take.
Megan Murphy:You should get on this chair.
Megan Murphy:I'm gonna sell this again because, you know you're gonna go, oh, I should have gotten a pass.
Megan Murphy:But if you listen to me, your friend Megan.
Megan Murphy:No, as soon as they're available, grab it.
Megan Murphy:We give you baked potatoes.
Megan Murphy:You get freebies.
Megan Murphy:You get popcorn and stuff.
Megan Murphy:Like.
Megan Murphy:Like all this good stuff.
Megan Murphy:Because technically a lot of us are really insecure and we want you to like us, like, a lot.
Megan Murphy:So, like, basically, we're just trying to, like, you know, bribe.
Megan Murphy:Bribe you into loving us.
Megan Murphy:So you should take advantage of that.
Megan Murphy:Like, not super healthy relationship.
Megan Murphy:Get on the train bypass.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Matt Austin:I mean, also come, because we show really good movies like that.
Matt Austin:That's.
Megan Murphy:I mean, that.
Matt Austin:That too.
Megan Murphy:But also, we, like You a whole lot.
Matt Austin:We like you.
Matt Austin:We'll buy a gift.
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Matt Austin:And yeah, you don't make friends with salad, but you do with donuts and pizza and yeah.
Matt Austin:Baked potatoes here.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:Coffee, donuts, potatoes love us.
Megan Murphy:Popcorn.
Megan Murphy:Please say I'm good.
Speaker B:Well, then we bully a little bit with the giveaways.
Megan Murphy:Like, yeah, hey, P.
Megan Murphy:P.
Megan Murphy:Who gotta get the cash first with Sal.
Matt Austin:The nicest cult experience you can have.
Matt Austin:Yes.
Megan Murphy:Ah, not a cult.
Matt Austin:Not a cult.
Megan Murphy:Yeah, legal.
Megan Murphy:For legal purposes.
Megan Murphy:Yeah, we're covered.
Megan Murphy:We're good.
Megan Murphy:Lawyer says we're okay.
Matt Austin:The lawyer that used to follow us on Tik Tok says that you were okay.
Megan Murphy:Potato says we're good.
Matt Austin:That's fair.
Matt Austin:Yes, I did notice that the Potato did get their.
Matt Austin:Their law degree because I.
Matt Austin:I saw them at the big potato bar.
Megan Murphy:Here's the thing.
Megan Murphy:The Many Eye Potato, they have free time in between the festivals and they like to stay busy.
Megan Murphy:It's in all of our best interest that they stay busy.
Matt Austin:See, I.
Matt Austin:I say they got their license at the baked potato bar.
Megan Murphy:Oh, God.
Megan Murphy:Oh.
Megan Murphy:I was just trying to talk past this.
Megan Murphy:Now I gotta sit in it.
Megan Murphy:Thanks, Brother Todd.
Speaker B:I said a joke and I want the laugh or the groan.
Matt Austin:I knew it wasn't gonna get.
Matt Austin:I knew it wasn't gonna get a laugh and I knew it was so bad that I should go back for it a second time.
Matt Austin:Even though it was nobody was gonna like it.
Matt Austin:It's.
Matt Austin:It's my own ego at that point, and I apologize for it.
Megan Murphy:Anomaly Colon.
Megan Murphy:Nobody's gonna like it.
Matt Austin:Nobody could like that.
Matt Austin:What.
Matt Austin:What have you done?
Matt Austin:Does so other.
Matt Austin:Other films we can talk about.
Matt Austin:Dummy won our short award for short.
Megan Murphy:Another giveaway.
Megan Murphy:We gave away the tiny little doll hands.
Speaker B:Nick at Dorje was very thrilled.
Megan Murphy:I spent a lot of time with those tiny little hands that weekend.
Megan Murphy:I had a lot of fun.
Megan Murphy:There's something like when they.
Megan Murphy:When you put them on your fingers, like you just become somebody else.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:People were looking for matching because they did come in matching.
Speaker B:But yeah, they tried to trade to.
Megan Murphy:Get the a right and a left hand.
Megan Murphy:You got a right, I got a left one.
Speaker B:Was like, yeah, I'm putting these on my cat.
Matt Austin:I.
Speaker B:He needs both.
Megan Murphy:Like, dad.
Megan Murphy:Yeah, absolutely.
Matt Austin:I love our audience so much for that.
Matt Austin:Yeah, that is so good.
Matt Austin:And the aforementioned catamaran are our guests for the.
Matt Austin:The short during the name of the game is Kill at the Dryden catamaran, which was a really cool kind of 60s punch them up action kind of thing.
Matt Austin:Very mod.
Matt Austin:Went very Much with the.
Matt Austin:The name of the game is kill.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:Plus you got the show like at the Dryden, which is like a really cool thing, you know, like, hey, your shorts going to be on on the screen.
Megan Murphy:That's had all sorts of amazing films on there.
Megan Murphy:It just, it elevates the experience, you know.
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Speaker B:They got to cheer for the curtain as we all did.
Megan Murphy:Like.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:Now we know that we've trained our lungs and realizes, hey, that thing goes up a lot slower than you think it does.
Megan Murphy:So you better commit.
Speaker B:Start.
Speaker B:Start low and then build the energy.
Megan Murphy:And then if you need to take a break, let somebody else clap for a while, tag back in.
Matt Austin:Totally my fault Year one didn't time it out.
Matt Austin:I'm glad we had it right this year.
Megan Murphy:Oh yeah, we learned our lesson.
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Matt Austin:Got a lot of co pays for.
Matt Austin:For carpal tunnel after that first year.
Matt Austin:So I'm glad we got it straight this year.
Megan Murphy:I don't want to disappoint the curtain.
Megan Murphy:I'm in pain.
Speaker B:Yes.
Megan Murphy:Oh, that was.
Megan Murphy:And who knows what we're gonna pick for this year's stride.
Megan Murphy:And you know, we've had a fan.
Megan Murphy:Fascinating martial arts film.
Megan Murphy:We had this like psychedelic 60s weird family in a desert film.
Megan Murphy:Who knows what's going to be in the vaults.
Megan Murphy:I'm very excited.
Matt Austin:Desert family Suspense.
Matt Austin:And Jared has been digging through the crates at.
Matt Austin:At the.
Matt Austin:At the dry and trying to find stuff for us.
Matt Austin:He's got a whole lot.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:Hasn't been seen where it's.
Megan Murphy:What was really interesting is so Adam and I got to kind of pre screen this and one other film to see like what we wanted to pick.
Megan Murphy:I'll tell you how long some of these have been like in the vault.
Megan Murphy:This the other film we saw.
Megan Murphy:It was another martial arts film, but it was.
Megan Murphy:As we watched it, we realized it was missing about two reels and one reel repeated itself.
Megan Murphy:So we're finding stuff that people haven't gotten a chance to like, look at and like, probably in a bit.
Megan Murphy:So that's what we're giving you here at Anomaly.
Megan Murphy:Eventually I looked up what actually happened in that other film and it makes a lot more sense when it's not missing 22 minutes.
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Matt Austin:I'll tell you, I did watch it on YouTube after you said you're gonna go see it.
Matt Austin:It's a fun little flick.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:I mean, if it makes sense.
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Matt Austin:I mean that 22 minutes that was missing was like all the exposition.
Matt Austin:So.
Megan Murphy:Yeah, it's like the second.
Megan Murphy:Second 11 minutes.
Megan Murphy:Which really sets Up.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:The entire story.
Megan Murphy:So why is this guy?
Megan Murphy:Did he leave?
Megan Murphy:Did he come back Anyway, I see.
Megan Murphy:I like that like but I would never have that conversation if we weren't looking for stuff for Dryden.
Megan Murphy:For.
Megan Murphy:For Anomaly Dryden and that there is all sorts of like little things hiding in those vaults.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:We're gonna show them to you like goblins.
Megan Murphy:Little vault goblins.
Megan Murphy:Found something.
Megan Murphy:Have it.
Megan Murphy:Watch it.
Matt Austin:Watch it.
Matt Austin:Enjoy it.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Matt Austin:Get ready for a weird twist.
Speaker B:Yep.
Megan Murphy:This year at Anomaly watch the thing.
Megan Murphy:Well we can scuttle off.
Speaker B:We've rested our eyes and our brains hopefully.
Speaker B:So now we can almost time to get started.
Speaker B:I know some Freeway will be opening up soon and we'll be we take.
Megan Murphy:Our two month rest who are like I can't watch anything anymore.
Megan Murphy:Sorry everybody go.
Speaker B:I watched non genre things for two months.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:Remember what other things are.
Megan Murphy:So this is just a drama.
Megan Murphy:Okay.
Megan Murphy:Where's the alien show up doesn't.
Speaker B: I did rewatch Power Rangers: Speaker B:I did need to need to sneak that in.
Speaker B:But yes, I am ready.
Speaker B:I'm ready to find new fun stuff that we have plenty to show our audience.
Matt Austin: see what we come up with for: Matt Austin:It's going to be so fun.
Megan Murphy:Yep.
Megan Murphy:I got a peek behind the curtain about how many submissions did we have last year.
Matt Austin:Didn't we end up somewhere around 130?
Megan Murphy:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Megan Murphy:Shorts and features.
Megan Murphy:So that is just things that are submitted to us not things that we reach out for.
Matt Austin:I was gonna say if you add in the things that we reached out for on top it was probably close to 150ish.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Matt Austin:When I looked at it in film Freeway the total amount of time was somewhere around 49 hours of incredible content to go through to bring you the festival.
Matt Austin:Plus whatever, whatever you know, Adam.
Matt Austin:MVP Adam.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Matt Austin:Reaches out for.
Matt Austin:So yeah we're probably looking at you know a full two weeks worth of work like day job work.
Matt Austin:Right.
Matt Austin:Or a month.
Megan Murphy:We try to break it up back to back but every once in a while there's a marathon or two.
Megan Murphy:Right.
Megan Murphy:Okay.
Megan Murphy:Doing four hours of it.
Speaker B:Let's go back to back to back.
Speaker B:Let's go.
Speaker B:But yeah in the meantime too we're doing.
Speaker B:You can catch us at January Giallo at the Little.
Speaker B:So we'll be there I think once a week now.
Megan Murphy:Yep.
Speaker B:Showed our first last Thursday.
Speaker B:We have this is it Cruising is I think this Friday.
Matt Austin:Cruising is Friday.
Matt Austin:Yep.
Speaker B:That's a little.
Speaker B:And then we have two more the next two weeks.
Matt Austin:Next Thursday is one, and then the following Friday is another one.
Matt Austin:Right.
Megan Murphy:I think it's a long night of glass dolls or short night glass dolls.
Megan Murphy:And then Four Flies on Gray velvet.
Megan Murphy:Yo.
Megan Murphy:Those two are the most giallo names of all of them.
Megan Murphy:So I got most of those words right.
Megan Murphy:I think I'm introing one, if not both of those.
Megan Murphy:So I will have the titles correct.
Megan Murphy:When I am on stage in front of people, I will put them on a piece of paper, hold it in front of my face, and read them off.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Matt Austin:I don't want to pressure you.
Matt Austin:I.
Matt Austin:Word on the street is that you're doing both.
Speaker B:Oh, that was the word on the street.
Megan Murphy:I'm just.
Megan Murphy:I'm trying not.
Megan Murphy:And I'm trying not to, like, totally stress myself out.
Megan Murphy:Okay.
Megan Murphy:Because, like, maybe I spoke up a little bit.
Megan Murphy:So I'm trying to tell myself, don't worry, it's probably just one.
Megan Murphy:So then when the second one comes around, I'm.
Megan Murphy:I'm less shocked.
Megan Murphy:And then I just like, oh, no.
Megan Murphy:I only have one day of worry.
Megan Murphy:It's like two weeks.
Speaker B:I don't think you'll be alone because I think, man, I think.
Speaker B:Not to speak for you, but I thought you had wanted to do an intro.
Speaker B:And I think one.
Megan Murphy:Maybe.
Speaker B:I couldn't remember the scheduling, but you.
Speaker B:You will not be alone.
Speaker B:Back.
Megan Murphy:Wait.
Megan Murphy:Only once I get on stage, I don't care.
Megan Murphy:It's the anxiety up.
Megan Murphy:And then once I'm up, I'm like, oh, yeah.
Megan Murphy:All right.
Megan Murphy:Okay, everybody.
Megan Murphy:So I did five minutes of surprise.
Megan Murphy:ASMR to intro Sound of Love.
Megan Murphy:So at this point, you know, I'll do quite a lot on stage.
Megan Murphy:You know what?
Megan Murphy:You know, it's long five minutes when you're sitting up on stage stage.
Megan Murphy:I was like, oh, you know what?
Megan Murphy:This sounded like a fun idea.
Megan Murphy:This was such a cute idea.
Megan Murphy:When we were planning stuff, I was like, I'll just do, like, five.
Megan Murphy:Like, at first, I was like, I'll do it the entire half hour before the film.
Megan Murphy:I'm glad.
Matt Austin:Don't.
Matt Austin:Don't sell yourself short.
Matt Austin:Initially, it was, I'll just do 30 minutes up there.
Matt Austin:And we all went.
Speaker B:And then you shrunk it down to about 10.
Speaker B:And then you ended up somewhere between, like, 5 to 7, which you did it, and people were enjoying it.
Speaker B:So, you know, supportive.
Speaker B:So thank you.
Speaker B:Yes.
Megan Murphy:I'm glad it's recorded because I don't.
Megan Murphy:Like, once I got up there in front of the microphone and looked out and said, I'm not going to remember this.
Megan Murphy:So the rest is just me just like, you know what, just worry about it later.
Megan Murphy:Future Megan will have to clean this up.
Matt Austin:Maybe another thing you'll get Anomaly project.
Matt Austin:That's one of my favorite things about you.
Matt Austin:Just.
Megan Murphy:Yeah, yeah.
Megan Murphy:I'm like, it's a different Megan.
Megan Murphy:Like, well, we're doing it.
Megan Murphy:But again, another thing that you want to come to Anomaly for is our intros.
Megan Murphy:Because you won't just get a normal one.
Megan Murphy:We like to mix it up.
Matt Austin:That is for sure.
Matt Austin:You will never get a normal one out of us.
Speaker B:No.
Megan Murphy:Yeah, because like, you know, we.
Megan Murphy:It's part of how we're taking care of the films.
Megan Murphy:We want you to be like, get in the mood.
Megan Murphy:And sometimes the mood is asmr.
Megan Murphy:What else did we do?
Megan Murphy:I'm trying to think of other fun intros.
Matt Austin:Chainsaws was kind of a hoot.
Matt Austin:Chainsaws were singing.
Megan Murphy:Oh, dressed up like love.
Megan Murphy:I forgot.
Megan Murphy:I don't think I saw that intro.
Megan Murphy:What?
Megan Murphy:Oh, now I'm upset.
Matt Austin:Yeah, that was a hoot.
Megan Murphy:See, I was there and I missed something and I'm upset.
Megan Murphy:This is the level of like the density of amazingness.
Megan Murphy:We have an anomaly.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Speaker B:You can't be everywhere at once, unfortunately.
Megan Murphy:I'm trying.
Megan Murphy:I tried real hard.
Megan Murphy:I just had little mini crash outs during the festival.
Megan Murphy:Hey everyone, I gotta go upstairs for about 10 minutes.
Matt Austin:Yep.
Speaker B:Just have quiet time.
Speaker B:Lights are off, cookies are being eaten and that is it.
Megan Murphy:Literally.
Megan Murphy:Was I sitting in the corner of the green room one time behind some chairs?
Megan Murphy:Yes, absolutely.
Speaker B:Which shout out to Daryl for bringing.
Speaker B:Supplying us with cookies.
Matt Austin:Yes.
Megan Murphy:All the time.
Speaker B:So appreciative.
Matt Austin:Wonderful.
Matt Austin:Those meringue eyeballs I couldn't find.
Matt Austin:I know we have a picture somewhere.
Matt Austin:I just couldn't find it.
Matt Austin:They were incredible.
Matt Austin:Delicious and wonderful looking.
Megan Murphy:Yeah, they're an experience to eat, which I love.
Matt Austin:She left the county to get the little edible eyeballs for us, which blew my mind.
Megan Murphy:Oh my God.
Matt Austin:Incredible.
Matt Austin:So thank you Daryl for those.
Megan Murphy:Yes, thank you everyone.
Megan Murphy:You know what?
Megan Murphy:We got a really awesome community that we continue to cultivate around Anomaly.
Megan Murphy:You know, let's, you know, get all serious for a second.
Megan Murphy:That's one of the best parts of it is coming out together, being humans together, having experience together.
Megan Murphy:And like there's so much generosity.
Megan Murphy:It's like I think we're always surprised.
Megan Murphy:Like you like what we do.
Megan Murphy:You brought us cookies.
Megan Murphy:Like there's still that.
Megan Murphy:Like we're just happy you're here.
Speaker B:You stealth managed to buy a pass before they were on sale.
Matt Austin:Oh, for the life of me still have no idea how she did that.
Matt Austin:Leslie is an amazing human being.
Matt Austin:Made us those stickers.
Matt Austin:Last year was a detective and then this year was a detective.
Matt Austin:We ended up getting her a deerstalker hat for her work.
Megan Murphy:And a magnifying glass.
Matt Austin:And a magnifying glass.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:We don't know how you did it, but you did it.
Matt Austin:We had everything so hidden on our site that you wouldn't be able to buy a pass.
Megan Murphy:And yet we're like, did someone buy a pass?
Megan Murphy:How?
Speaker B:When there's a will, there's a way.
Matt Austin:We sold one pass in.
Matt Austin:In April at.
Matt Austin:At whatever screening we had and then nothing.
Matt Austin:And then all of a sudden just blip.
Matt Austin:One pass.
Megan Murphy:We did not have an official page set up to buy them yet.
Megan Murphy:We were still figuring some things out.
Megan Murphy: button anywhere that said buy: Megan Murphy:And yet strange things happen all the time at Anomaly.
Matt Austin:Yep.
Megan Murphy:Who knows what will happen next year?
Megan Murphy:We don't.
Megan Murphy:We for sure don't know.
Matt Austin:No.
Matt Austin:Only way to find out is to show up.
Matt Austin:Yes.
Matt Austin:We can probably say that dates will be coming out soon, within the next couple weeks here.
Matt Austin:Keep an eye out at, you know, a somewhat yellow themed film series and you may.
Matt Austin:May get a clue onto what our dates are like.
Megan Murphy:Trying to be a slick there.
Megan Murphy:Okay.
Matt Austin:Yeah, yeah.
Matt Austin:The dates will be revealed behind a bottle of JB Scotch.
Matt Austin:That's not probably what will happen, but it sounds cool.
Matt Austin:Black gloves will pick an envelope up and then.
Megan Murphy:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker B:Dan will get the leather gloves out.
Megan Murphy:There we go.
Matt Austin:He does have those cool driving gloves, doesn't he?
Matt Austin:Of course he does.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:But yeah, then it's starting.
Megan Murphy:We announced those dates and we're all.
Matt Austin:Then it's off to the races.
Megan Murphy:We start going to meetings again.
Megan Murphy:A meeting.
Megan Murphy:Anomaly meetings.
Megan Murphy:I mean, I'm sure other meetings, but also Anomaly meetings.
Speaker B:Down to business.
Megan Murphy:Watching stuff.
Megan Murphy:Yeah.
Megan Murphy:We start coming up with a theme.
Matt Austin:Yep.
Matt Austin:So if you know any of us in real life, now is the time to recommend anything that you want us to watch.
Matt Austin:Because the next eight months from here, we're not going to be able to talk about what we've seen, but we definitely haven't seen what you've seen.
Megan Murphy:Oh, also a whole new year of Anomaly presents.
Matt Austin:That's right.
Matt Austin:That's right.
Megan Murphy:Talking about stuff and recording it.
Matt Austin:We're gonna talk about movies at you again all year until probably October.
Matt Austin:Ish.
Matt Austin:We are still kind of trying to figure out what movies we're going to talk about, but guaranteed they're all going to be a lot of fun.
Matt Austin:May have some guests involved this year.
Megan Murphy:We gotta, we gotta rope some suckers.
Megan Murphy:I mean, invite some esteemed guests on.
Matt Austin:I have a few filmmakers that I can think of that might want to come on and join us.
Matt Austin:Maybe a crossover with our friends Punches and Popcorn again.
Matt Austin:Or a guest that they've had in the past.
Megan Murphy:No, no, no, don't remind them.
Megan Murphy:We.
Megan Murphy:We still have to watch Highlander 2.
Megan Murphy:Shut up.
Megan Murphy:They forgot.
Megan Murphy:Okay, but then they come over here.
Megan Murphy:They come over here and then, and then we say, you did this to us.
Matt Austin:And as a reminder, you cannot make Mike Honton forget about anything.
Megan Murphy:Why did we make this deal?
Megan Murphy:Why did we do this?
Matt Austin:Mind like a steel trap.
Matt Austin:He'll.
Matt Austin:He'll.
Matt Austin:He'll come back to us soon.
Matt Austin:Probably after he listens to this and goes, oh, yeah, we got to do that.
Megan Murphy:Oh, it was me.
Matt Austin:One that I think we'll definitely end up doing is Maximum Overdrive.
Matt Austin:We're going to get back to the Stephen King films because we have an esteemed King Zine writer slash biographer that's going to come and join us and kind of take us behind the scenes with Uncle Steve on the movie he can't remember directing.
Matt Austin:Yeah, exactly.
Megan Murphy:Yes, yes, yes.
Megan Murphy:I'm so excited.
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Matt Austin:So we'll have some inside insight from somebody that actually kind of knows what happened on the scene because we know Uncle Steve can't help us.
Matt Austin:And many more all coming up this year on Anomaly Presents.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Matt Austin:Anything else we want to say before we.
Matt Austin:We head out for the evening into the.
Matt Austin:The abyss and start watching.
Matt Austin:Good stuff.
Speaker B:Yes.
Matt Austin:If he has something good.
Speaker B:Well, the couple of wonder people.
Speaker B:Wonderful people we haven't mentioned yet.
Speaker B:John Shalia Photography.
Megan Murphy:Oh, yes.
Speaker B:Carrying all of his equipment around to take pictures.
Speaker B:Wonderful, wonderful pictures of all of us.
Speaker B:And then fright rags.
Matt Austin:We love them.
Speaker B:We.
Speaker B:We love partnering with them on Saturday night.
Speaker B:Rewind sometimes.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:Thank you for letting us decorate.
Megan Murphy:Let us go ham.
Megan Murphy:Okay with no.
Megan Murphy:And you're not even gonna check it out.
Megan Murphy:You're not even gonna see what we're doing.
Megan Murphy:Just gonna let us put stuff up willy nilly.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:And we love it.
Speaker B:We love it.
Speaker B:Hey, Geek design, as always.
Speaker B:And Lunchadore.
Megan Murphy:Oh my gosh, yes.
Speaker B:Who could that be with all the other wonderful shows on it.
Speaker B:What?
Megan Murphy:A podcast network?
Megan Murphy:A local podcast network.
Megan Murphy:Boy, what could you do more?
Megan Murphy:Where do your listens and views are more value than perhaps a Local podcast network.
Matt Austin:Yeah.
Matt Austin:Soon to be 14 shows strong.
Megan Murphy:That is wonderful.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:And they got it.
Speaker B:All right.
Speaker B:Kind of.
Matt Austin:Anything you're looking for, Anything for a couple music shows.
Matt Austin:We've got the Murphy's gonna.
Matt Austin:Gonna fight each other.
Megan Murphy:But yes, we have a couple in the can already.
Matt Austin:Yes.
Matt Austin:A couple things about parenting.
Matt Austin:All sorts of good stuff.
Matt Austin:Anyway.
Megan Murphy:Wonderful.
Speaker B:I was like, those were the last little.
Megan Murphy:Thank you, kp.
Speaker B:Touch on.
Speaker B:Because we don't want to forget.
Matt Austin:We definitely don't.
Matt Austin:We love all of the folks that help support us.
Matt Austin:And you know who we love the most?
Matt Austin:Our good friends that show up every year and check out the movies with us.
Matt Austin:Without you, it's real boring.
Matt Austin:It's not a party if you don't come.
Matt Austin:So thank you for coming year after year to support us.
Matt Austin:Support Anomaly, support independent genre film.
Matt Austin:We love you and we will see you again soon.
Matt Austin:I'm gonna close out if I can.
Matt Austin:I've got a little clip from this year's festival.
Matt Austin:Gordo the dancing pumpkin.
Matt Austin:Yes.
Matt Austin:Everybody loves our pumpkin man.
Matt Austin:And every film, he jumped up on the potato and tried to dance and just couldn't hack it.
Matt Austin:Just couldn't make it.
Matt Austin:So we closed out the year with one last attempt from Gordo and I'm going to close out with it for this show.
Matt Austin:If you're listening on audio, thank you so much for doing it.
Matt Austin:You're going to hear some background music and then the Lunchadore theme.
Matt Austin:If you're watching on any of the video platforms.
Matt Austin:Congratulations.
Matt Austin:You're about to get a treat.
Matt Austin:We will see you soon.
Matt Austin:This has been the Anomaly Presents podcast.
Matt Austin:You've been an amazing, amazing audience and we are so excited to see you again at all of our fun stuff this year.
Matt Austin:Take it away, Gordo.
Matt Austin:It's.
