Takeaways:
And now for something completely different.
David Spoon:Here's what's coming up this hour on Today's Experience.
David Spoon:It's totally terrific, totally transforming and totally triumphant Tuesday as we find unity from the Father, through the Son and by the Spirit, all for the glory of God Almighty.
David Spoon:First, we're going to pick it back up in Romans chapter 8.
David Spoon:We're going to start basically with the second half of verse four.
David Spoon:The redeeming work of Jesus Christ was given to us so that the accomplishment of the law could be fulfilled through his work, allowing us to no longer be found lacking in righteousness before God.
David Spoon:This is specifically tied to those who no longer follow the old nature or the flesh, but walk by the Holy Spirit.
David Spoon:Next, verse five gives us the key to understanding whether we are actually following the old sinful nature or the Holy Spirit of God.
David Spoon:People who follow their old sinful nature continually think about things tied to that nature.
David Spoon:In other words, those who walk in the old nature and not the Holy Spirit can recognize this simply by what their thoughts are focused on.
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:Finally, Paul then brings up a critical point.
David Spoon:Those who think in their old nature or in the flesh are living in and creating a form of death.
David Spoon:But those who think in the Spirit and live with their thoughts in the Spirit are creating a form of life and peace that comes from the kingdom of God.
David Spoon:So it comes down to this.
David Spoon:Do we choose life and peace or do we choose death?
David Spoon:David Spoon's life has been an experience.
David Spoon:While growing up in a Jewish family, he made a wrong turn towards drug abuse.
David Spoon:Then David Spoon found Jesus Christ and his life completely changed.
David Spoon:The more he studied the gospel, the more he wanted to share his experiences with others.
David Spoon:After 35 years of ministry, David discovered a new path of service.
David Spoon:He joined KAM and this radio program began.
David Spoon:You're about to hear the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Welcome to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Local, national and heavenly talk.
David Spoon:Here's what else we're looking at during the show.
David Spoon:Lessons for surviving, for living, and for prevailing politics, entertainment and current events, personal revelations, spiritual observations, my life's insanities, and oy vey, so much more.
David Spoon:Now remember, it's not professional radio.
David Spoon:We heard from Optimus prime of Radio just yesterday.
David Spoon:It's just radio, folks.
David Spoon:But we are asking you, what do you think?
David Spoon:So you can email us during the show.
David Spoon:No, really, you can do it.
David Spoon:Seriously, it's totally cool.
David Spoon:David at He Must increase.
David Spoon:That's David must increase dot org.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:That's right.
David Spoon:It's a bad curly impersonation.
David Spoon:What do you want from me?
David Spoon: : David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Talking to Jem and Jacob is like sharing a cheat meal on your diet with your favorite person.
David Spoon:Thank you, David.
David Spoon:Happy Tuesday.
David Spoon:Happy Tuesday to you, my friend.
David Spoon:Will I tell you what our cheat bill was?
David Spoon:You're gonna just go crazy on this.
David Spoon:But let me just double check with you for you over the weekend, anything special in the old palate realm?
David Spoon:Did you eat anything?
David Spoon:I had.
David Spoon:So Sunday I went to a hockey game with family.
David Spoon:And then afterwards we ate at a.
Samson:Pizza restaurant, which I can't remember the.
David Spoon:Name of it, but it was pretty good.
David Spoon:It was pretty good pizza.
David Spoon:Nice.
David Spoon:Very nice.
David Spoon:Congratulations on that one.
David Spoon:Every once in a while, Noel breaks out an old favorite of hers and nobody can say anything about it.
David Spoon:We don't do it often, but we do do it every once in a while.
David Spoon:She makes chocolate pudding and puts them on Twinkies and puts them in a bowl.
David Spoon:It is just like that Sounds really healthy.
David Spoon:It was so good, I thought we should open up a health restaurant right after that.
David Spoon:Then I went into the sugar coma thing right after that.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:That does sound delicious, though.
David Spoon:That sounds great.
David Spoon:It's really good.
David Spoon:In fact, you gotta be careful.
David Spoon:Let me just say this, because if you use the whole pudding thing, you'll end up with more than two Twinkie things.
David Spoon:And see, that's the danger right there.
David Spoon:Anyway, that's what we had.
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:Every once in a while we go crazy, but it's still down 59.5 9.5 pounds from this thing.
David Spoon:And I'm not gonna quit until I get to 70.
David Spoon:So that's my goal.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Anyway, backing it all up.
David Spoon:Here's the bottom line.
David Spoon:Why in the universe, why?
David Spoon:First of all, why are you listening?
David Spoon:It's an indictment on you more than me.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Why would you do that one?
David Spoon:It could be a praise report.
David Spoon:We already heard a praise report.
David Spoon:And just a very nice Statement and a prayer request kind of from Joanne going into her session.
David Spoon:I thought that was really nice of her to share that She's a blessing and we really appreciate her.
David Spoon:Maybe you got something or somebody and it doesn't have to be this show.
David Spoon:Don't get that weird, goofy, weirdo Christiany thing going on.
David Spoon:If somebody blessed you, you can always call and say, hey, you know what?
David Spoon:This person was a real blessing.
David Spoon:Or I went to church and the pastor talked about this, or I met with this person, they pray with me.
David Spoon:All of that is great because you're acknowledging that it's coming through the actions of the kingdom of God and ultimately God gets the glory.
David Spoon:And in Isaiah 43:7, we were created to bring God glory.
David Spoon:So that just works together.
David Spoon:If you got something you want to share, share it.
David Spoon:It's cool.
David Spoon:You don't have to say it perfectly, just share it.
David Spoon:And it doesn't have to be earth shattering.
David Spoon:I think we should learn to be thankful for the little things, the middle things and the large things.
David Spoon:Everything is what we should be thankful for, right?
David Spoon:It could be a prayer request.
David Spoon:We're going to go to prayer.
David Spoon:We're going to be praying for Corey in just a minute.
David Spoon:And I'm going to probably bring my wife into that in the sense of praying for my wife, because she's had some things go on and she kind of goes up and down on that.
David Spoon:And so I'll be praying for that.
David Spoon:And you might have a prayer request.
David Spoon:It could be for health, it could be for finances, it could be for relationships, it could be for salvation, for children, for parents, for brothers, for friends.
David Spoon:It doesn't matter.
David Spoon:We'll pray about it because here's the best answer in the world.
David Spoon:Why wouldn't you pray about it?
David Spoon:I'll tell you how the devil stops prayer.
David Spoon:People are like, well, the devil stops prayers.
David Spoon:No, he doesn't, or you would never get saved.
David Spoon:And I've actually had people say to me, well, that's the only prayer he can't stop.
David Spoon:Where does it say he can stop a prayer?
David Spoon:There can be spiritual warfare in the heavenlies, but they can't stop you from demons can't stop you, Satan can't stop you from actually praying except for distractions or lack of faith.
David Spoon:And then you don't do it.
David Spoon:That's one way it happened.
David Spoon:You can't shut the prayer down.
David Spoon:That's absurd.
David Spoon:Here's the bottom line, though.
David Spoon:We'll pray for you and ask the Lord to do it.
David Spoon:Maybe you've got a scripture you Want to share?
David Spoon:Something's on your heart and mind.
David Spoon:We love it.
David Spoon:We just think those are great things.
David Spoon:Maybe you even have something that's a little bit more bizarre.
David Spoon:Maybe you got an answer to Bible trivia.
David Spoon:And this Bible trivia, by the way, is going to be a little different.
David Spoon:I'm going to give you multiple choices on this Bible trivia.
David Spoon:Here we go.
David Spoon:What there's an A, B, C, and D.
David Spoon:What was the Garden of Eden guarded with to prevent access to the Tree of Life?
David Spoon:What was the Garden of Eden guarded with to prevent future access to the Tree of Life?
David Spoon:Was it, A, a pillar of fire, B, a cherubim and a flaming sword, C, a giant wall, or D, leviathan?
David Spoon:So what was the Garden of Eden guarded with to prevent future access to the Tree of Life?
David Spoon:Was it, A, a pillar of fire, B, a cherubim with the flaming sword, C, a giant wall, or D, leviathan?
David Spoon:That is the question.
David Spoon:Isn't that A Cool.
David Spoon:Let's cool.
David Spoon:You got to pick one of those.
David Spoon:I will tell you, Genesis 3.
David Spoon:24 will be your reference point.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:So that is your reference point.
David Spoon:But at the same time, same time, we have that opportunity.
David Spoon:You got A, B, C, and D.
David Spoon:And I want you to take advantage of that.
David Spoon:We're gonna.
David Spoon:We do have somebody who's calling in, but I want them to hold on for a split second because I want to pray for Corey real quickly.
David Spoon:So I just want you guys to kind of stretch your faith with mine real quickly.
David Spoon:We're going to pray for Corrie.
David Spoon:She had a mammogram on Saturday, and she's got.
David Spoon:There's a little bit of abnormal finding there, and she's scheduled to do some more testing.
David Spoon:So we want to pray for her on that.
David Spoon:So let's do that first.
David Spoon:And then I also want to pray for Noelle just to have better flexibility in her back.
David Spoon:So let's pray.
David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now and we lift up Corrie to you.
David Spoon:We just ask you to bless her and encourage her.
David Spoon:And, Lord, those kind of tests drive fear against us on a regular basis.
David Spoon:Since we are praying because you have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind that you would, first and foremost, bring her at ease and at comfort for what is up and coming.
David Spoon:She does not have to be afraid of what is around the corner because you are there for her.
David Spoon:Lord, we pray that this would turn out to be a nothing nothing and that she would find that out, and it would be a great praise report.
David Spoon:And so they would get into the discussion, they would get into the testings and that it would give relief.
David Spoon:We are asking you this to grant this by your grace and mercy that she might find out, not the issues that she thought it might be, that you would break that power of fear and give her a great sense of expectation and confidence.
David Spoon:And, Lord, I lift up my own wife to you.
David Spoon:Lord, you know how I feel about it.
David Spoon:When she's hurting, you know how I get.
David Spoon:I start to complain.
David Spoon:I'm sorry, Lord.
David Spoon:I don't mean to do that.
David Spoon:But please bring your healing power into her back and into her neck.
David Spoon:She's got a lot she's got to do and wants to take care of it.
David Spoon:And I just pray you give her all the strength in the world and the healing from that struggle that she has.
David Spoon:Just break that in her.
David Spoon:Just let her just be free from that.
David Spoon:In the name of Jesus, we lift up both of these women before you.
David Spoon:They're both your daughters.
David Spoon:We ask for your graciousness.
David Spoon:We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:And amen.
David Spoon:Okay, now we'll go back to the trivia question.
David Spoon:We have somebody ready to answer a trivia question.
David Spoon:Let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Samson:Hey, this is Samson.
David Spoon:Hey, Samson.
David Spoon:What's going on?
David Spoon:Are you ready for the triv.
Samson:Yes, sir.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right, so let me set the whole thing up, and then you got to give the answer.
David Spoon:So don't give the answer until I say the whole thing.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:What was the Garden of Eden guarded with to prevent future access to the Tree of Life?
David Spoon:Was it, A, a pillar of fire, B, a cherubim with a flaming sword?
David Spoon:C, a giant wall, or D, leviathan.
Samson:Oh, it was.
Samson:What's this called?
Samson:Jedi with a.
David Spoon:What's that?
David Spoon:A Jedi cherubim with a flaming sword.
David Spoon:That is correct.
David Spoon:Amundo, bro.
David Spoon:That is right.
David Spoon:Yep, that'd be it.
David Spoon:It was a cherubim.
David Spoon:That is exactly correct.
David Spoon:How are you doing today?
David Spoon:Are you doing any better?
Samson:I'm still under the weather kind of thing, but I'm still working because Lord is good.
David Spoon:That is right.
Samson:He's touching me to be.
Samson:Keep doing what he can.
Samson:Has called me to do.
David Spoon:And that's what you got to do even when you don't understand the things that are around you.
David Spoon:Somebody said this.
David Spoon:It was just really brilliant.
David Spoon:If the Lord tells you to do something until he tells you to do something else, keep doing what he told you to do.
Samson:Yeah, well, I've been also encouraged by the.
Samson:I know many times in your ad that you mentioned that somebody mentioned to you, hey, David, if you can't do it, then you could get into it.
David Spoon:Correct things.
Samson:You can't do it.
David Spoon:Yeah, correct.
David Spoon:And that was actually.
David Spoon:Suzy Lopez told me that.
David Spoon:I actually thought that was a great, great piece of advice.
David Spoon:If you can't get out of it, get into it and change the whole dynamic.
David Spoon:And you know what?
David Spoon:She was right.
David Spoon:I mean, there's this.
David Spoon:If you approach it with a fresh attitude where you are doing it in partnership with God, no matter what it is you're doing, it becomes an entirely different project.
David Spoon:It becomes an entirely different labor when you believe the Lord is with you in doing that.
David Spoon:Right.
Samson:Good.
Samson:Very good.
Samson:Yes, Very good.
Samson:Hey, while I was praying with you for Corey, I felt like Psalm 23:4.
Samson:Even though I walked through the valley of shadow of death, I will fear no evil because you are with me.
Samson:And your rod and your staff is there to comfort me.
Samson:And I felt like this is a scripture for Corey.
Samson:And along the same line, I felt like she need to recite the ironic blessing over her that May the Lord bless me and keep me.
Samson:May the Lord make his face to shine on me and be gracious to me.
Samson:May the Lord turn his face towards me and give me his shalom.
Samson:So that's.
Samson:I felt very strongly to share with you for.
Samson:For Corey.
David Spoon:Thank you, brother.
David Spoon:Very good.
David Spoon:And I know Corey heard it, so that's a great job.
Samson:And I'm praying for your lovely wife and your family.
Samson:So I'm looking forward to hear the testimony.
David Spoon:Me too.
Samson:And I'll be fully healed.
Samson:In Jesus name.
David Spoon:In Jesus name.
David Spoon:Amen, brother.
David Spoon:God bless you and a great call.
David Spoon:Thank you.
Samson:Thank you.
David Spoon:Bye bye.
Samson:Bye bye.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Great job.
David Spoon:By Samson.
David Spoon:Let's get into our DNA and then we'll get into the teaching.
David Spoon:We are in Romans chapter 8.
David Spoon:I could teach it all day long, which is part of the problem.
David Spoon:But first, we're going to do our DNA.
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Because that's more important than anything I'm going to do.
David Spoon:You doing this is more important than anything I can do for you.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:D for DNA stands for draw closer to the Lord Daily.
David Spoon:Daily.
David Spoon:That is the most important thing you can do.
David Spoon:I can encourage you and I try to.
David Spoon:And sometimes it goes better.
David Spoon:Sometimes it doesn't go better.
David Spoon:Sometimes there's no phone at all.
David Spoon:Sometimes there's no Internet at all.
David Spoon:Hey, we have a lot of things happen.
David Spoon:Hey, none of that matters.
David Spoon:Here's what matters?
David Spoon:You spending time with God.
David Spoon:That's what matters.
David Spoon:Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Cause it will change your life and make it better, no matter what stage you're in.
David Spoon:D Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:N Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:Never be ashamed of what Jesus said.
David Spoon:And we just did this teaching prior the first 30 minutes about understanding that we don't even understand the concept of what's really fair.
David Spoon:We think we know what's just and fair.
David Spoon:There's a way which seemeth right unto man, but the end thereof is the way of death.
David Spoon:The Bible says, additionally, the wrath of man works not the righteousness of God.
David Spoon:God alone has the perfect score.
David Spoon:So we don't ever be ashamed of what he had to say, even if we don't understand it all.
David Spoon:If God created the universe, he created the world.
David Spoon:And you believe it.
David Spoon:How could you not believe he could write a book?
David Spoon:It's just crazy, right?
David Spoon:So.
David Spoon:D Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:A Always be ready to serve.
David Spoon:You are ready for God, whatever he wants.
David Spoon:How do you do that?
David Spoon:Be mindful of God.
David Spoon:Don't let the things that we go through so consume you or me.
David Spoon:Like when I do this show, I have all these, oh, I've got the notes.
David Spoon:Oh, I've got the text.
David Spoon:Oh, I've got this.
David Spoon:Yeah, but what if God wants to go a different direction?
David Spoon:Am I so locked in, even in teaching, that I can't be sensitive enough if he wants to redirect, and that's a big issue.
David Spoon:But that's how it is for all of us in everyday life.
David Spoon:Maybe the Lord wants to redirect.
David Spoon:The only question is, are we ready?
David Spoon:Are we ready to serve?
David Spoon:Are we ready to turn?
David Spoon:Are we ready to go?
David Spoon:If the Lord desires?
David Spoon:Nobody's saying it happens every three seconds.
David Spoon:It's the issue of being ready.
David Spoon:And you know, the Son of Man is coming soon, so the scripture is absolutely clear.
David Spoon:We need to be ready.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:D Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:Always be ready to serve.
David Spoon:We'll take a break and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Your break will be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
David Spoon:Like any person searching for answers, I too have wondered about him.
David Spoon:He has a weird sense of humor.
David Spoon:If people are seeking wisdom and insight from the great teachers around the world, would they go to David?
David Spoon:No.
David Spoon:I don't think so.
David Spoon:Those big ears really don't help.
David Spoon:Will people enjoy his perspective on culture, politics, food, sports, and local and national news?
David Spoon:I don't know.
David Spoon:He's just a client.
David Spoon:Tune in to the David Spoon Experience on kaam.
David Spoon:What is the David Spoon Experience?
David Spoon:When Joshua was trying to figure out, you know, the Lord and his decision for the Lord, and he was doing pretty good and had good training, he made a decision to follow the Lord.
David Spoon:Then he made a decision that he wanted to really commit to devotions.
David Spoon:I told him I was proud of him for that.
David Spoon:That's his own decision.
David Spoon:He has to make that call.
David Spoon:Nobody can choose that.
David Spoon:You know, I was listening to something the other day, and this is one of the most bizarre statements.
David Spoon:You're never going to hear a more bizarre statement.
David Spoon:I hope this gets on the radio.
David Spoon:You know, you can be born and raised Jewish, you can be born and raised Italian, you can be born and raised in many different things, but you can't be born a Christian.
David Spoon:Can't do it.
David Spoon:Because you have to make a decision for Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:There's no being born a Christian.
David Spoon:That doesn't work.
David Spoon:That's a lie.
David Spoon:You have to make a choice, an individual choice.
David Spoon:Your 15 generations of your family could be Christians when you're born.
David Spoon:That does not make you a Christian.
David Spoon:When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, that's when you become a Christian.
David Spoon:You understand that difference.
David Spoon:There's just something that dawned on me, like, you know, people don't talk that way.
David Spoon:Well, he was born in a Christian family.
David Spoon:That doesn't mean he's a Christian.
David Spoon:Plenty of murderers came out of Christian families.
David Spoon:That doesn't mean a thing.
David Spoon:That's nothing.
David Spoon:But anyway, going back to.
David Spoon:I had to share that because that's that thought that just really struck me as odd.
David Spoon:But the power of our words is so noticeable.
David Spoon:And Jesus says, hey, you know, I got one for you.
David Spoon:By your words, you're going to be justified.
David Spoon:And by your words, you're going to be condemned.
David Spoon:So my question to pose is why that's so forceful and brutal.
David Spoon:And the answer is in Matthew, chapter 15, Matthew.
David Spoon:You guys like that one, huh?
David Spoon:Like that.
David Spoon:I could tell below.
David Spoon:I like that.
David Spoon:Matthew, chapter 15.
David Spoon:Here's the reason.
David Spoon: , Matthew: David Spoon:But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart.
David Spoon:And the reason that Jesus said, by your words you will be justified, and by your words you'll be condemned is because your words reveal what's in your heart and you will know you can listen to other people and know by their speech.
David Spoon:And I'm not even talking about coarse language.
David Spoon:I'm not talking about swearing.
David Spoon:I'm not even talking about any of that.
David Spoon:I'm not even necessarily talking about negative speech.
David Spoon:I'm talking about you will know a person's heart by what they say.
David Spoon:The David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:If Jesus was like me.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's k double amen.
David Spoon:770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Don't you love that?
David Spoon:Isn't that, I mean, isn't that just cool?
David Spoon:Cool K double amen.
David Spoon:That's right.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:So be it.
David Spoon:Let it be so.
David Spoon:It shall be.
David Spoon:All of those cool.
David Spoon:Anyway, here we go.
David Spoon:We're getting ready for our next trivia question.
David Spoon:As you know, they're multiple choice, so you just gotta get on board.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:That's all I'm gonna tell you.
David Spoon:You gotta get on board.
David Spoon:Here's your next trivia question.
David Spoon:Let me go through the whole thing.
David Spoon:You can answer by either by email, by text or by phone.
David Spoon:There are 12 tribes in Israel.
David Spoon:What tribe had no inheritance in the land of promise?
David Spoon:Your reference is Deuteronomy 8:15, if you want to look it up.
David Spoon:Deuteronomy 8:15.
David Spoon:The question is simply this.
David Spoon:What tribe had no inheritance in the land of promise?
David Spoon:A, the Reubenites, B, the Levites, C, the Gadites.
David Spoon:D, the Manasseh tribe of Manasseh.
David Spoon:Reubenites, Levites, Gadites, or Manasseh.
David Spoon:If you think you know you can reach out to us.
David Spoon:Let's see, what's our number?
David Spoon:You believe that I can't always remember the number after telling it five and a half years, probably 20 times a show.
David Spoon:Let's see, we've done thousands of shows.
David Spoon:It's just like, how can I not remember?
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:And yes, our phone is working.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:And then additionally, you can send an email.
David Spoon:David must increase dot org.
David Spoon:So our trivia question, which tribe Israel had 12 tribes?
David Spoon:Which tribe had no inheritance in the land of promise?
David Spoon:The Rubenites, the Levites, the Gadites, or the tribe of Manasseh?
David Spoon:That is the question.
David Spoon:Good question right there.
David Spoon:So I want you to get to it.
David Spoon:By the way, Deuteronomy 8:15 is where you want to go.
David Spoon:And then before we do anything else, I just want to make sure everybody is in touch.
David Spoon:You should be.
David Spoon:And I'm going to encourage you to do this.
David Spoon:And I want to do it a little bit more.
David Spoon:Praying for the nation and praying for Israel.
David Spoon:Praying for our nation and for Israel.
David Spoon:You should be praying for the peace of Jerusalem, because the Bible talks about that in numbers 24, 9 and in Genesis 12, 2 and 3.
David Spoon:And then you should be praying for our nation.
David Spoon:This is where you live.
David Spoon:And you don't want everybody to be just like you.
David Spoon:In fact, I don't want anybody to be like me.
David Spoon:We want people to be like Jesus.
David Spoon:And so we wanna pray for all of our leaders to respond to the influence of God.
David Spoon:That's what you really want to be praying if the nation's going to continue to be blessed.
David Spoon:That simple.
David Spoon:Okay, we do have somebody on the line.
David Spoon:Let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Samson:And a fun good afternoon to you, Dr.
Samson:David.
Samson:This is J.D.
David Spoon:Hey, J.D.
David Spoon:how are you, man?
Samson:I have not been able to listen to you for over two weeks, and my soul yearns for it.
Samson:So thank God I'm able to hear you today.
David Spoon:You are a kind, kind man.
David Spoon:I tell people, if you're going to listen a lot, just buy a lot of aspirin.
David Spoon:That'll help you.
David Spoon:All right, my friend, let me set up the whole question, all of the answers, and then you give the correct one.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:Are you ready?
Samson:I am.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:What tribe had no inheritance in the land of prayer?
David Spoon:Was that the Reubenites, the Levites, the Gadites, or the tribe of Manasseh?
Samson:I prefer wearing Wrangler blue jeans, but Levi makes a good pair also.
David Spoon:That is correct, Amanda.
David Spoon:Sir, it is the Levites.
David Spoon:And what's so cool about that is people are like, oh, the poor Levites.
David Spoon:Well, first of all, they did get.
David Spoon:It wasn't that they got any.
David Spoon:But the cool thing about it is God said, I'm their inheritance, I'm their wealth.
David Spoon:And it's like, I want that.
David Spoon:I want that thing right there.
David Spoon:I want that.
David Spoon:I want to be in his inheritance realm.
David Spoon:I want it to be the Lord that I inherit.
David Spoon:That's just so great, isn't it?
David Spoon:That it is.
David Spoon:I love it.
Samson:That it is.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Excellent, Excellent job.
David Spoon:How is everything else?
David Spoon:Need any prayer?
David Spoon:Are you doing good or where we at?
Samson:$10 million of small, unmarked bills would be a nice start.
David Spoon:Wait, you might have prayed that the Lord will give you $10 million.
Samson:He's already blessed me so many times, I can't even count them.
David Spoon:I know.
David Spoon:And it's so hard because you know, and you get to the Lord and you say, well, okay, I thank you for doing that, but I've got this thing coming.
David Spoon:And he knows you're doing it, and you're not trying to be, like, manipulative, but he also knows you have a new need.
David Spoon:And so I believe in the great patience of the Lord when we're dealing with that.
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:Excellent, brother.
David Spoon:I ask that the Lord again bless you in a way this week that you know.
David Spoon:Hey, The Lord blessed me because I had an opportunity to share with his truth on the air.
David Spoon:I want the Lord to bless you for that, Lord.
David Spoon:Bless him for just sharing the truth, being fun about it, being a blessing to other people.
David Spoon:Reward him from your hand in Jesus name.
David Spoon:Amen and amen.
Samson:Thank you, my Vic.
David Spoon:Love you, brother in Christ.
David Spoon:I love you so much.
Samson:Love you, too.
David Spoon:Thank you.
David Spoon:Take care.
David Spoon:Bye.
David Spoon:Bye.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Excellent call by J.D.
David Spoon:all right, now let's get into the text.
David Spoon:I got this, so.
David Spoon:Oh, I gotta get into this.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:You're gonna have to wait on the jokes and history and everything else.
David Spoon:This is really cool.
David Spoon:We're in Romans 8:3.
David Spoon:I don't know if you guys can tell or not, but I've been feeling it lately.
David Spoon:Oh, I'm feeling it lately.
David Spoon:That's all I'm gonna say to you.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Romans 8:3.
David Spoon:You have to love this.
David Spoon:Listen to this.
David Spoon:The law of Moses could not save us because of our sinful nature.
David Spoon:But God put into effect a different plan to save us.
David Spoon:He sent his own son in a human body like ours, except that ours are sinful.
David Spoon:I just want you to stop right here because I could do this for a really long time because it is so good.
David Spoon:Listen to this.
David Spoon:God put into effect.
David Spoon:No, this is what I say.
David Spoon:God put into effect a different plan.
David Spoon:Here's what it says in verse three.
David Spoon:The law of Moses could not save us because of our sinful nature.
David Spoon:The law was there.
David Spoon:It was there available to help.
David Spoon:But it pointed out that we had a sinfulness.
David Spoon:It pointed out that we have things inside of us as well as outside of us that need help.
David Spoon:But look at what it says in the text.
David Spoon:And this is everything you've got to know about your Christian journey, about your Christian walk.
David Spoon:Listen to me.
David Spoon:This is so cool.
David Spoon:This will really help you a ton.
David Spoon:The law of Moses could not save us because of our sinful nature.
David Spoon:But God put into effect a different plan to save us.
David Spoon:You see, we think we know.
David Spoon:I mean, we're all that in a bag of chips.
David Spoon:Boom, boom, boom, not so much.
David Spoon:And the Lord knowing where we are deficient and knowing that we had no capacity to do it, he put into effect a different plan.
David Spoon:Let me explain something to you.
David Spoon:When you are struggling against the wall, when you have got your face in a pillow, when you've got your face in your hands and knees, and you're seeking and you're trying to figure it out, you need to read this verse in verse 3 of Romans 8.
David Spoon:Because God has his own plan, a different plan than what you see.
David Spoon:And he doesn't have it because he's trying to be mean.
David Spoon:He's got a plan for you that has his fingerprints on it.
David Spoon:And it doesn't mean that everything is always perfect.
David Spoon:We talked about this just the other day.
David Spoon:You can be in the perfect will of God.
David Spoon:Jesus was in the perfect will of God.
David Spoon:That involved crucifixion.
David Spoon:But God has a different plan to bring about what he wants to bring about for you, with you, to you, through you.
David Spoon:And instead of us thinking we know it all, this verse just can change your life if you.
David Spoon:If you really sink into it.
David Spoon:The law of Moses could not save us because of our sinful nature, but God put into effect a different plan to save us.
David Spoon:And what is it that the plan of God is?
David Spoon:To save us.
Samson:To save us.
David Spoon:God's not done with you.
David Spoon:He's working a different plan.
David Spoon:Get that.
David Spoon:Oh, that's just sweet.
David Spoon:All right, we'll take our break, and then we'll come back.
David Spoon:You are listening?
David Spoon:Oh, wait, wait, wait.
David Spoon:We do have something on the phone.
David Spoon:Oh, well, then, by golly, we do want that person to come on through.
David Spoon:Let that person come on through.
David Spoon:We'll wait.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Samson:Hi, David.
Samson:This is Cynthia.
David Spoon:Hi, Cynthia.
David Spoon:How are you?
Samson:I'm having a little trouble right now.
Samson:I'd like prayer, please.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Anything in particular?
Samson:Well, I'm just not able to walk yet.
Samson:I broke my hip a while back and Parkinson's, and I'm not able to walk.
Samson:If I'm trying.
Samson:Work real hard.
Samson:Everything hurts in my body right now.
David Spoon:All right, let me pray over you.
David Spoon:We're going to ask the Lord to heal you.
David Spoon:Let's pray.
David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now.
David Spoon:We lift up our dear sister before you, and we ask you right now, in the name of Jesus Christ, that you would pour your holy spirit into her.
David Spoon:Body and that the power of the spirit of God.
David Spoon:Lord, your spirit that brought Jesus Christ up from the dead would move in her body and in the name of Jesus, by the power that comes through Jesus and by the stripes that have been laid on Jesus, you would bring healing for her in her, so that she can walk, she could function, she can move without having so much pain.
David Spoon:We ask you to be the God of comfort.
David Spoon:Be the God of deliverance, be the God of healing.
David Spoon:It says in your word.
David Spoon: Exodus: David Spoon:You are Jehovah, Rapha, the Lord God that heals.
David Spoon:Bring that healing into her body and let her receive that power that comes in and let her be better and testify to it.
David Spoon:In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Savior, Father.
David Spoon:And we believe you and expect it and hope in you and trust in you again.
David Spoon:We give you thanks and praise in Jesus name.
David Spoon:Amen and amen.
Samson:Thank you.
Samson:Thank you for being on the show.
David Spoon:Got it.
Samson:I sure appreciate you.
David Spoon:You got it.
David Spoon:Keep me posted.
David Spoon:We will keep praying.
Samson:Okay, love you, Derek.
Samson:Bye.
David Spoon:All right, God bless you.
David Spoon:Bye bye.
David Spoon:Thank you.
Samson:God bless you.
David Spoon:Bye bye bye.
David Spoon:All right, we're going to take a short break and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the true station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Your break will be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
David Spoon:What is the David Spoon Experience?
David Spoon: lf on a rocket ship racing at: David Spoon:Once there, you can sense the power and the presence of the majestic and the divine.
David Spoon:You forget about your troubles and your fears and you just float in peace without a worry.
David Spoon:In the world, there are no struggles, no pain, no discomfort.
David Spoon:It's soothing, calm, comfortable.
David Spoon:But then the show starts and you realize that none of that stuff has anything to do with the show.
David Spoon:What were you thinking?
David Spoon:The David Spoon Experience?
David Spoon:Only for the brave of heart and the board.
David Spoon:The David Spoon Experience.
Samson:They were sisters.
David Spoon:That is correct, sir.
David Spoon:You are right.
David Spoon:And it's like, it's like.
David Spoon:I'm not saying.
David Spoon:I don't want to say, but like, yuck.
David Spoon:That's all I could say.
David Spoon:It's like, I'm sorry, that's all I can come up with.
David Spoon:Like, yowza.
Samson:Well, he was tricked into it.
David Spoon:Yeah, yeah.
David Spoon:I mean, I'm gonna go with that, but I mean, if you're the two sisters, you just gotta be thinking.
David Spoon:Now wait a second here.
Samson:Can I tell a real quick joke?
Samson:I won't take up much time.
Samson:Hopefully I'll try to make it.
Samson:Try to make it biblical, but not scriptural.
David Spoon:I'm with you.
David Spoon:That's about 99% of everything we do on jokes.
David Spoon:Trust me.
Samson:I figured you understand.
Samson:Well, to set this up.
Samson:Okay, let's set this up.
Samson:When I ask the question, you'll have to answer it to the first thing that pops into your head.
Samson:Otherwise it'll.
David Spoon:It's.
Samson:It's kind of like those knock knock jokes.
Samson:You have to say, knock knock, you know, or who's there?
Samson:So anyway, Paul was out in the Mediterranean Sea.
Samson:He was on sailing across it, and right before the storm hit, he was writing some letters.
Samson:And he was sitting there writing, and one of the sailors came up and looked at him and said, what are you doing?
Samson:I said, well, I'm writing some letters here.
Samson:And Paul put down his quill and parchment and looked up at the sailor and decided this is a time to talk to him.
Samson:He says, now here's the question, David, and this is where you have to answer.
David Spoon:Okay.
Samson:What is a pirate's favorite letter of the Alphabet?
Samson:And the sailor said, nah, that would.
David Spoon:Be the sea making the sea.
David Spoon:That's a good.
David Spoon:So it's not the R.
David Spoon:No, it's the C.
David Spoon:It's the C, matey.
Samson:Hey.
Samson:Hey.
Samson:I love your show.
Samson:Thanks.
Samson:Thanks for keeping it going.
David Spoon:Appreciate it.
David Spoon:Thank you.
David Spoon:Thank you for being such a great brother and a great support.
David Spoon:We appreciate you.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's K double amen.
David Spoon:770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:We got our next trivia question.
David Spoon:You guys better get ready for this one.
David Spoon:It's another good one, but you guys should get this, actually, I hope you do.
David Spoon:Anyway, so I'm going to give you the question and then the four possible answers.
David Spoon:This is multiple choice trivia day, so you'll have that opportunity.
David Spoon:How many philistines did Samson slay with a jawbone?
David Spoon:Okay, your reference is Judges 15.
David Spoon:15.
David Spoon:How many Philistines did Samson slay with the jawbone?
David Spoon: Is it a: David Spoon:There you go.
David Spoon:Is it.
David Spoon:How many philistines did Samson slay with a jawbone?
David Spoon: Is it a: David Spoon:Your reference point, judges 15, 15.
David Spoon:If you think you know, you can reach out to us.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Or send an email.
David Spoon:David must increase.org so I'm going to send you to the website because I haven't done that at all today because I'm not that bright.
David Spoon:So listen, we told you yesterday we're in kind of a little bit of a pinch, and we did get some responses from people.
David Spoon:And listen, I appreciate it so much.
David Spoon:I wish I could tell you how much I really appreciate what you guys do.
David Spoon:I'm just.
David Spoon:Seriously, we have some financial way to go, but we made a good pinch in it.
David Spoon:And I'm super appreciative for the people that participated.
David Spoon:And I'm just going to ask you if you're in a position and the Lord puts it on your heart.
David Spoon:Super give.
David Spoon:If you're in a position that you want to, but you can't, super pray for us.
David Spoon:That's all I'm asking you to commit.
David Spoon:Just pray.
David Spoon:Because that power of that prayer makes a big difference.
David Spoon:It changes the universe.
David Spoon:For everybody that's given.
David Spoon:Thank you for those that want to give, can't give.
David Spoon:Thank you for those that don't want to give.
David Spoon:Cool.
David Spoon:Give somewhere that you are comfortable with.
David Spoon:But you have to be a giver because that's one of the expressions the Lord expects from his people in response to him giving.
David Spoon:Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:Second Corinthians 8, 3.
David Spoon:I testify according to their ability and beyond their ability.
David Spoon:They gave of their own accord.
David Spoon:Make sure you do it because you want to do it.
David Spoon:Do you get what I'm saying there?
David Spoon:That's kind of a big deal.
David Spoon:Check it out on the website.
David Spoon:You're thinking website.
David Spoon:You got a lot of stuff on the website.
David Spoon:You would be amazed.
David Spoon:Check it out.
David Spoon:On hemustincrease.org Prayer request.
David Spoon:He must increase.org Praise report.
David Spoon:He must increase.org Looking to give to this ministry.
David Spoon:He must increase.org Confused by what's happening right now.
David Spoon:He must increase.org he must increase.org Sweep the leg.
David Spoon:You have a problem with that?
David Spoon:Sweep the leg.
David Spoon:Sweep the leg.
David Spoon:Sweep the leg.
David Spoon:If you guys don't know what that reference is, do you think everybody knows that reference?
David Spoon:You think so?
David Spoon:I think they do.
David Spoon:I just got to think.
David Spoon:Everybody knows that reference, right?
David Spoon:It's Karate Kid, the original.
David Spoon:Come on, you guys can still smile.
David Spoon:It's not the end of the world.
David Spoon:All right, let's see.
David Spoon:We did that.
David Spoon:We did that.
David Spoon:Oh, we got our trivia question.
David Spoon:And then we want to make sure.
David Spoon:Everybody gets that trivia question.
David Spoon:How many philistines did Samson slay with a Jawbone?
David Spoon:Judges?
David Spoon:15.
David Spoon:15 is your reference.
David Spoon: Is it a: David Spoon:That's the question.
David Spoon:If you think you know.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:So we have to do it.
David Spoon:Just have to.
David Spoon:All right, Jake, I want to say this and we need to be very kind to our brother.
David Spoon:We need to be very kind to our very, very precious brother Sergio, who's probably not that happy.
David Spoon:Talk to me about what we didn't cover last week between the Detroit Lions as well as the Dallas Cowboys.
David Spoon:What happened?
David Spoon:So the Dallas Cowboys played the Philadelphia Eagles at home Sunday and like we predicted, the Eagles won the game.
Samson:And it was not, it was not.
David Spoon:A close game, David.
David Spoon:It was, it was ugly early and wait.
David Spoon:And now Dak, Dak Prescott, he's out, right?
David Spoon:Is he out?
David Spoon:Yeah, he's out for the season, I believe.
Samson:Yeah, he's having to have season ending surgery.
David Spoon:So yeah, they have a backup quarterback in.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:And so that didn't go very good.
David Spoon:And then I did hear the game announcer say this is like the Keystone Cops and thought that's not good.
David Spoon:And then of course there was this other game that happened.
David Spoon:Great game, unbelievable game.
David Spoon:Who was that between?
David Spoon:So Sunday night the Detroit Lions and the Houston Texans played and that was a great game.
David Spoon:Came down to the last second with the Lions kicking a winning field goal.
Samson:To win the game.
David Spoon:Lions are now 8 and 1.
David Spoon:8 and 1.
David Spoon:And they did it in Houston.
Samson:Yes, Houston's a good team.
David Spoon:Good team too.
David Spoon:I mean, they, Detroit, they've just been on a roll.
David Spoon:Now I'm not going to be like, oh, they're going to win the Super Bowl.
David Spoon:I want to see it stage by stage.
David Spoon:But I will tell you, if you are a Dallas fan, but you're feeling a little lonely, you are welcome to also root for the Detroit Lions.
David Spoon:I knew where that was going.
David Spoon:I just want to make sure you're not out there all along.
David Spoon:And I just want you to know that I am not going to burn my Dallas shirt.
David Spoon:I am going to believe that next year Dallas is going to have just a whomping year.
David Spoon:I'm just going for it.
David Spoon:So I'm going to hang on to this shirt.
David Spoon:Besides, it cost me $18 because I had to buy it at a Tom Thumbs.
David Spoon:And I can't burn anything for $18.
David Spoon:I'm sorry.
David Spoon:I just can't do it.
David Spoon:If I had bought it somewhere else, I'd have thought about it.
David Spoon:But it was eight, Right.
David Spoon:If you found it in, like, the, you know, the bargain bin for $5 or something, I could have done it then.
David Spoon:But that's not what happened.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Yeah.
Samson:I would say at this point there.
David Spoon:There's still a handful of games to go, but I would say at this.
Samson:Point, the Cowboys teasing is probably over, especially with Dak Prescott out.
David Spoon:That means that every game they win is something you celebrate.
David Spoon:Because if they're not going to get to the playoffs, then you have to celebrate the wins.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:That's how you got to do it, okay?
David Spoon:And believe me, I'm a Lions fan.
David Spoon:0 and 16.
David Spoon:I don't want to hear about it.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:I went through.
David Spoon:Those are the days of the past, David.
David Spoon:This is a winning franchise now, right?
David Spoon:With the line completely different.
David Spoon:And it's probably 99% the coach.
David Spoon:Well, it's 80% coach, 19% the quarterback, and then the gelling of it.
David Spoon:Everything.
David Spoon:But we'll see what happens.
David Spoon:All right, back to it.
David Spoon:How many Philistines did Samson slay with a jawbone?
David Spoon: Is it A,: David Spoon:I'm not going to break.
David Spoon:I'm just going to go forward.
David Spoon:Don't we have somebody now ready?
David Spoon:People are probably.
David Spoon:I want to talk to you, Dave.
David Spoon:Don't get mad at me.
David Spoon:You have to love me.
David Spoon:That's what the scripture says.
David Spoon:You have to love me.
David Spoon:I'm your brother, so you have to love me.
David Spoon:I'm your neighbor, so you have to love me.
David Spoon:Or if I'm your enemy, you have to.
David Spoon:You have to love me.
David Spoon:Not a lot of option there.
David Spoon:Right there.
David Spoon:See what I'm saying?
David Spoon:Okay, we do have somebody on the phone.
David Spoon:Are they ready to answer the trivia question?
David Spoon:Is that what they're gonna do, their trivia or no?
David Spoon:Possibly.
David Spoon:We'll see.
Samson:It's brother Roger again.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:We'll give brother Roger that chance.
David Spoon:Let's send him through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Is this my brother Roger again?
Samson:It is brother Roger again.
David Spoon:How you doing, brother?
Samson:I'm blessed beyond circumstances.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:I want to check with you before we go any further.
David Spoon:Are you going to answer the Triv question or did you have something you wanted to share?
David Spoon:What do you got?
Samson:Well, I had A comment on Jake's take.
David Spoon:Oh, all right.
David Spoon:I love it.
David Spoon:I love that you're doing this.
David Spoon:You have the floor.
David Spoon:Go ahead.
Samson:Okay.
Samson:At the end of the game, they interviewed the Kinker.
David Spoon:Yes.
Samson:And I just enjoyed what he said.
David Spoon:And he said that he believed in.
Samson:Jesus Christ and he wanted everybody to know his story about his ride with Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:Did he give you any highlights?
David Spoon:I mean, that is so cool, right?
Samson:Yeah, it was.
Samson:That was at the end of the game.
Samson:And they interviewed him at the end of the game and he mentioned Jesus as his Lord and savior and that he wanted everybody to know about his story through Jesus.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:Excellent.
David Spoon:Excellent, excellent, excellent.
David Spoon:That's a great thing to share.
David Spoon:Really.
David Spoon:It really is a great thing to share.
David Spoon:I just, you know, I understand people have.
David Spoon:Well, they listen, the guy has his heart and mind dedicated to Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:And he said.
David Spoon:So that's the key.
David Spoon:That's.
David Spoon:That's what it is right there.
Samson:He just, he.
Samson:He just.
Samson:And there's several other players on the team that give glory to God, but he specifically said Jesus.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:Love it, love it.
David Spoon:Just absolutely excellent ad.
David Spoon:That's one of the best add ons we've ever had to Jake's take right there.
David Spoon:So you set another milestone.
David Spoon:Roger, that was a great job.
Samson:And I was surprised that Jake recognized it was brother Roger again.
Samson:I got that distinct voice.
David Spoon:I guess you do, brother.
David Spoon:We know you and we know you and we love you.
Samson:Yeah.
Samson:Well, I love Jake.
Samson:Take the.
Samson:That you inserted into your program because it's just so neat that we can have some fun and, you know, we can either laugh or cry about the Cowboys.
David Spoon:That's right.
David Spoon:Exactly right.
David Spoon:Exactly right.
David Spoon:It's good to be able to.
David Spoon:It's good to be able to be normal, like just having regular conversations at times, isn't it?
Samson:Yeah.
Samson:And when I was a kid, I used to be at.
Samson:Well, when back in the day when they had Tiger Stadium and they played football there, I used to go then that's when they shoveled snow off the bleachers and still showed up.
Samson:And still showed up.
Samson:Full stadium, everything else, you know, Wow.
David Spoon:I remember now.
David Spoon:I remember Tiger Stadium.
David Spoon:But in Detroit, that was something else.
David Spoon:That was not a great place to go.
David Spoon:We'll leave that alone.
Samson:Well, there was several times I was walking before the game and the ladies that I was walking behind, they thought I was following them.
Samson:They'd turn around and point a gun at you, go on the other side of the street.
Samson:I quickly went on the other side of the street.
David Spoon:You're too funny, brother.
David Spoon:It was a great, great add on to Jake's take.
David Spoon:That was an excellent job.
Samson:Yeah.
Samson:What is the trivia?
Samson:I didn't even hear it.
David Spoon:Oh, all right, I'll give you a shot.
David Spoon:Here we go.
David Spoon:How many Philistines?
David Spoon:There's four possible answers.
David Spoon:It's multiple choice.
David Spoon:How many Philistines did Samson slay with a jawbone?
David Spoon: Is it: Samson:I believe he.
Samson:I think he did a thousand.
David Spoon:That is correct.
David Spoon:Emmanuel.
David Spoon:You got it, man.
David Spoon:Excellent job.
David Spoon:And you pull off the trivia.
David Spoon:Very nice, bro.
David Spoon:That's definitely a clip that we're going to have to put together.
David Spoon:Excellent job, brother.
Samson:That's okay.
David Spoon:All right.
Samson:But I.
Samson:I just.
Samson:You.
Samson:I didn't get to listen much last week or get to call in any last week, and I normally don't call in on a Tuesday, But I couldn't help myself when I heard Jake's take, and I wanted to just insert that in there.
Samson:I thought it was very important that I inserted it in there with that because people need to know that Jesus needs to be our focus, not the game as much as.
David Spoon:That's right.
Samson:Jesus.
David Spoon:That's right.
David Spoon:That's exactly.
Samson:That's right.
Samson:That's what he was in.
Samson:In instructing everybody that Jesus was his focus.
David Spoon:Yep.
David Spoon:Excellent.
David Spoon:Excellent job, brother.
Samson:All right.
Samson:God bless.
David Spoon:God bless.
Samson:You, too.
Samson:Good work.
David Spoon:Thank you, bro.
David Spoon:I will.
David Spoon:Thank you.
David Spoon:Bye.
David Spoon:Bye.
David Spoon:All right, so the show went a different direction, which is fine.
David Spoon:I love that, actually.
David Spoon:It's one of the things I love the most about show.
David Spoon:And I have this one thing that I wrote down, and I didn't think I was going to get a chance to share, but now I am going to share it, and it's really, really powerful.
David Spoon:And I'm not kidding you.
David Spoon:I want you to.
David Spoon:I just get this sense.
David Spoon:Some people call it feelings, some people call it sense, maybe an urging to share this.
David Spoon:And so I'm going to share it and just do my best.
David Spoon:And we've only got, like, five minutes left, and it's definitely worth it.
David Spoon:So I was talking to.
David Spoon:Well, I don't want to say who it is.
David Spoon:It was my brother.
David Spoon:I was talking to somebody and he said to me this thing, and it just clicked on me for some reason.
David Spoon:He said as he's preparing to make this move out to Texas.
David Spoon:So he's been in Arizona for quite some time, and so now he's coming out to Texas.
David Spoon:I think they're moving.
David Spoon: I think Tomorrow at like: David Spoon:So I can be praying for him for traveling mercies and stuff.
David Spoon:We had some back and forth.
David Spoon:We were actually texting versus that.
David Spoon:But for us, that's conversation.
David Spoon:Because even when we text, and even when I text, I'm Jewish, I still use my hands.
David Spoon:That's because I use a voice recognition.
David Spoon:That's a joke.
David Spoon:Somebody should really pick up on that.
David Spoon:But anyway, so he's like, man, he goes, so he wrote text.
David Spoon:He said, I'm starting to think that this is all from the Lord.
David Spoon:That's what he said in a text.
David Spoon:And what I'm trying to communicate to you is we do that a lot where we're heading into something and we see things kind of formulating together almost crystallizing or coming together in certain ways.
David Spoon:Not in every single area of life, but in different areas at different times.
David Spoon:There's not just a one hard rule for all of it.
David Spoon:You just kind of see this coalescing of things coming together.
David Spoon:And then we start thinking, huh, maybe this whole thing is really from the Lord.
David Spoon:So he wrote, I'm starting to think this thing was from the Lord.
David Spoon:So I wrote him back, verb, using my verbal skills, so to speak, and did the voice recognition.
David Spoon:And I said, stop thinking it and start believing it.
David Spoon:And it's funny that I even said that because that's kind of a weird thing to say.
David Spoon:But there's this part of us that thinks in our mind, well, maybe this whole thing is like from the Lord.
David Spoon:And we start to think that when things look better, but then when things look worse, we do the exact opposite.
David Spoon:Well, maybe this isn't from the Lord, right?
David Spoon:That's how we function in it.
David Spoon:But it's much more God directing and not just because everything's coalescing, because it's becoming perfect.
David Spoon:We've got to move past this thinking.
David Spoon:We've got to move into this believing.
David Spoon:In other words, we've got to actually believe it.
David Spoon:Now, in his case, he's had multiple testimonies or different indicators over a period of time, maybe three, four months.
David Spoon:And maybe he's going to move out.
David Spoon:And initially, and I could tell you this from personal experience, it doesn't go super, super easy because first of all, he's going to have to adapt to a different climate and it's going to be different.
David Spoon:And even though it's coming from Arizona, it took Noel and I, like, three months to get acclimated to Texas.
David Spoon:That's just kind of sometimes that's what happens.
David Spoon:And then you're sitting there going, gee, did we make a mistake?
David Spoon:Did we make a mistake?
David Spoon:And instead of going through that thing, we have to do this weirder thing.
David Spoon:As Christians, you know what we have to do?
David Spoon:We have to believe that God knows how to direct us.
David Spoon:We have to have faith that God knows how to direct us.
David Spoon:We gotta stop letting the devil creep in.
David Spoon:How did he creep in against Eve?
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:Did God really say that?
David Spoon:But let's just use that very same tactic in a different way.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:Is that really God?
David Spoon:Do you think it was really God?
David Spoon:I mean, things are going kind of hard.
David Spoon:Is it God?
David Spoon:Just because things get difficult doesn't mean the Lord's not in the middle of it.
David Spoon:In fact, he promises to deliver us and save us from those things.
David Spoon:Not to the experience of them, but to deliver us out of those things.
David Spoon:Even if the water comes up to our neck, he won't let us drown.
David Spoon:Even if we go get cast into the furnace, he won't let us burn to death.
David Spoon:In other words, he delivers us out of not, he helps us avoid them.
David Spoon:That thinking is just off.
David Spoon:Actually, it's quite immature.
David Spoon:The idea behind this is that God promises to be with us, not that everything is smooth sailing, but that everything is sailing on his waters.
David Spoon:In other words, he's directing the boat where to go.
David Spoon:And sometimes there's waves and sometimes there's wind, but he's still got us.
David Spoon:So I encourage you to move out of your.
David Spoon:Maybe it's from the Lord thinking to the Lord is with me.
David Spoon:And the Bible says if we be otherwise minded, God will reveal even this unto us.
David Spoon:So even if you got it wrong, because he's committed to you and you're committed to him, he's with you.
David Spoon:He's with me.
David Spoon:And we'll do things that are spot on and right and perfect.
David Spoon:And sometimes we'll do things that are not perfect and right, but we do them in the Lord.
David Spoon:And it's the faith that we have that pleases him.
David Spoon:And God is able to take that faith that we have and use it in the circumstance to make it good.
David Spoon:Probably didn't seem good to Abraham to go to a place where he thought he could get killed because they would want to sleep with his wife.
David Spoon:But God blessed him mightily out of it because that's what God does.
David Spoon:So let's believe instead of kicking it around in our mind.
David Spoon:Let's stand in faith.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:All right, folks.
David Spoon:You've been listening to the David Spoon experience, right?
David Spoon:Here on KAM 7 Truth Station here in Texas taking a 22 and a half hour break.
David Spoon:Then we'll come back more insanity with spoonanity.
David Spoon:Talk to you then.
David Spoon:Who knows when a broken heart will man.
David Spoon:The views expressed on the preceding program were those of the speakers and not necessarily those of kaam, DJRD Broadcasting or its sponsors.
