It's totally terrific, totally transforming and totally triumphant Tuesday as we find unity from the Father, through the Son and by the Spirit, all for the glory of God Almighty.

First, we're going to pick it back up in Romans chapter 8.

We're going to start basically with the second half of verse four.

The redeeming work of Jesus Christ was given to us so that the accomplishment of the law could be fulfilled through his work, allowing us to no longer be found lacking in righteousness before God.

This is specifically tied to those who no longer follow the old nature or the flesh, but walk by the Holy Spirit.

Next, verse five gives us the key to understanding whether we are actually following the old sinful nature or the Holy Spirit of God.

People who follow their old sinful nature continually think about things tied to that nature.

In other words, those who walk in the old nature and not the Holy Spirit can recognize this simply by what their thoughts are focused on.

Wow.

Finally, Paul then brings up a critical point.

Those who think in their old nature or in the flesh are living in and creating a form of death.

But those who think in the Spirit and live with their thoughts in the Spirit are creating a form of life and peace that comes from the kingdom of God.

So it comes down to this.

Do we choose life and peace or do we choose death?

Anyway, backing it all up.

Here's the bottom line.

Why in the universe, why?

First of all, why are you listening?

It's an indictment on you more than me.

Why would you do that one?

It could be a praise report.

We already heard a praise report.

And just a very nice Statement and a prayer request kind of from Joanne going into her session.

I thought that was really nice of her to share that She's a blessing and we really appreciate her.

Maybe you got something or somebody and it doesn't have to be this show.

Don't get that weird, goofy, weirdo Christiany thing going on.

If somebody blessed you, you can always call and say, hey, you know what?

This person was a real blessing.

Or I went to church and the pastor talked about this, or I met with this person, they pray with me.

All of that is great because you're acknowledging that it's coming through the actions of the kingdom of God and ultimately God gets the glory.

And in Isaiah 43:7, we were created to bring God glory.

So that just works together.

If you got something you want to share, share it.

It's cool.

You don't have to say it perfectly, just share it.

And it doesn't have to be earth shattering.

I think we should learn to be thankful for the little things, the middle things and the large things.

Everything is what we should be thankful for, right?

It could be a prayer request.

We're going to go to prayer.

We're going to be praying for Corey in just a minute.

And I'm going to probably bring my wife into that in the sense of praying for my wife, because she's had some things go on and she kind of goes up and down on that.

And so I'll be praying for that.

And you might have a prayer request.

It could be for health, it could be for finances, it could be for relationships, it could be for salvation, for children, for parents, for brothers, for friends.

It doesn't matter.

We'll pray about it because here's the best answer in the world.

Why wouldn't you pray about it?

I'll tell you how the devil stops prayer.

People are like, well, the devil stops prayers.

No, he doesn't, or you would never get saved.

And I've actually had people say to me, well, that's the only prayer he can't stop.

Where does it say he can stop a prayer?

There can be spiritual warfare in the heavenlies, but they can't stop you from demons can't stop you, Satan can't stop you from actually praying except for distractions or lack of faith.

And then you don't do it.

That's one way it happened.

You can't shut the prayer down.

That's absurd.

Here's the bottom line, though.

We'll pray for you and ask the Lord to do it.

Father, we come before you right now and we lift up Corrie to you.

We just ask you to bless her and encourage her.

And, Lord, those kind of tests drive fear against us on a regular basis.

Since we are praying because you have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind that you would, first and foremost, bring her at ease and at comfort for what is up and coming.

She does not have to be afraid of what is around the corner because you are there for her.

Lord, we pray that this would turn out to be a nothing nothing and that she would find that out, and it would be a great praise report.

And so they would get into the discussion, they would get into the testings and that it would give relief.

We are asking you this to grant this by your grace and mercy that she might find out, not the issues that she thought it might be, that you would break that power of fear and give her a great sense of expectation and confidence.

And, Lord, I lift up my own wife to you.

Lord, you know how I feel about it.

When she's hurting, you know how I get.

I start to complain.

I'm sorry, Lord.

I don't mean to do that.

But please bring your healing power into her back and into her neck.

She's got a lot she's got to do and wants to take care of it.

And I just pray you give her all the strength in the world and the healing from that struggle that she has.

Just break that in her.

Just let her just be free from that.

You spending time with God.

God alone has the perfect score.

When Joshua was trying to figure out, you know, the Lord and his decision for the Lord, and he was doing pretty good and had good training, he made a decision to follow the Lord.

Then he made a decision that he wanted to really commit to devotions.

I told him I was proud of him for that.

That's his own decision.

He has to make that call.

Nobody can choose that.

You know, I was listening to something the other day, and this is one of the most bizarre statements.

You're never going to hear a more bizarre statement.

You know, you can be born and raised Jewish, you can be born and raised Italian, you can be born and raised in many different things, but you can't be born a Christian.

Can't do it.

Because you have to make a decision for Jesus Christ.

There's no being born a Christian.

That doesn't work.

That's a lie.

You have to make a choice, an individual choice.

Your 15 generations of your family could be Christians when you're born.

That does not make you a Christian.

When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, that's when you become a Christian.

You understand that difference.

There's just something that dawned on me, like, you know, people don't talk that way.

Well, he was born in a Christian family.

That doesn't mean he's a Christian.

Plenty of murderers came out of Christian families.

That doesn't mean a thing.

That's nothing.

But anyway, going back to.

I had to share that because that's that thought that just really struck me as odd.

But the power of our words is so noticeable.

And Jesus says, hey, you know, I got one for you.

By your words, you're going to be justified.

And by your words, you're going to be condemned.

So my question to pose is why that's so forceful and brutal.

And the answer is in Matthew, chapter 15, Matthew.

But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart.

Here's what it says in verse three.

The law of Moses could not save us because of our sinful nature.

The law was there.

It was there available to help.

But it pointed out that we had a sinfulness.

It pointed out that we have things inside of us as well as outside of us that need help.

But look at what it says in the text.

And this is everything you've got to know about your Christian journey, about your Christian walk.

Listen to me.

This is so cool.

This will really help you a ton.

The law of Moses could not save us because of our sinful nature.

But God put into effect a different plan to save us.

You see, we think we know.

I mean, we're all that in a bag of chips.

Boom, boom, boom, not so much.

And the Lord knowing where we are deficient and knowing that we had no capacity to do it, he put into effect a different plan.

Let me explain something to you.

When you are struggling against the wall, when you have got your face in a pillow, when you've got your face in your hands and knees, and you're seeking and you're trying to figure it out, you need to read this verse in verse 3 of Romans 8.

Because God has his own plan, a different plan than what you see.

And he doesn't have it because he's trying to be mean.

He's got a plan for you that has his fingerprints on it.

And it doesn't mean that everything is always perfect.

We talked about this just the other day.

You can be in the perfect will of God.

Jesus was in the perfect will of God.

That involved crucifixion.

But God has a different plan to bring about what he wants to bring about for you, with you, to you, through you.

And instead of us thinking we know it all, this verse just can change your life if you.

If you really sink into it.

The law of Moses could not save us because of our sinful nature, but God put into effect a different plan to save us.

And what is it that the plan of God is?

To save us.

To save us.

God's not done with you.

He's working a different plan.

Get that.

Lord, your spirit that brought Jesus Christ up from the dead would move in her body and in the name of Jesus, by the power that comes through Jesus and by the stripes that have been laid on Jesus, you would bring healing for her in her, so that she can walk, she could function, she can move without having so much pain.

We ask you to be the God of comfort.

Be the God of deliverance, be the God of healing.

It says in your word.

You are Jehovah, Rapha, the Lord God that heals.

Bring that healing into her body and let her receive that power that comes in and let her be better and testify to it.

So the Dallas Cowboys played the Philadelphia Eagles at home Sunday and like we predicted, the Eagles won the game.

And it was not, it was not.

A close game, David.

It was, it was ugly early and wait.

And now Dak, Dak Prescott, he's out, right?

Yeah, he's out for the season, I believe.

Yeah, he's having to have season ending surgery.

So yeah, they have a backup quarterback in.

And so that didn't go very good.

And then I did hear the game announcer say this is like the Keystone Cops and thought that's not good.

And then of course there was this other game that happened.

Great game, unbelievable game.

So Sunday night the Detroit Lions and the Houston Texans played and that was a great game.

Came down to the last second with the Lions kicking a winning field goal.

To win the game.

Lions are now 8 and 1.

And they did it in Houston.

Yes, Houston's a good team.

Good team too.

I mean, they, Detroit, they've just been on a roll.

Now I'm not going to be like, oh, they're going to win the Super Bowl.

I want to see it stage by stage.

I knew where that was going.

All right, so the show went a different direction, which is fine.

I love that, actually.

It's one of the things I love the most about show.

And I have this one thing that I wrote down, and I didn't think I was going to get a chance to share, but now I am going to share it, and it's really, really powerful.

And I'm not kidding you.

I want you to.

I just get this sense.

Some people call it feelings, some people call it sense, maybe an urging to share this.

And so I'm going to share it and just do my best.

And we've only got, like, five minutes left, and it's definitely worth it.

So I was talking to.

Well, I don't want to say who it is.

It was my brother.

I was talking to somebody and he said to me this thing, and it just clicked on me for some reason.

He said as he's preparing to make this move out to Texas.

So he's been in Arizona for quite some time, and so now he's coming out to Texas.

I think they're moving.

So I can be praying for him for traveling mercies and stuff.

We had some back and forth.

We were actually texting versus that.

But for us, that's conversation.

Because even when we text, and even when I text, I'm Jewish, I still use my hands.

That's because I use a voice recognition.

That's a joke.

Somebody should really pick up on that.

But anyway, so he's like, man, he goes, so he wrote text.

He said, I'm starting to think that this is all from the Lord.

That's what he said in a text.

And what I'm trying to communicate to you is we do that a lot where we're heading into something and we see things kind of formulating together almost crystallizing or coming together in certain ways.

Not in every single area of life, but in different areas at different times.

There's not just a one hard rule for all of it.

You just kind of see this coalescing of things coming together.

And then we start thinking, huh, maybe this whole thing is really from the Lord.

So he wrote, I'm starting to think this thing was from the Lord.

So I wrote him back, verb, using my verbal skills, so to speak, and did the voice recognition.

And I said, stop thinking it and start believing it.

And it's funny that I even said that because that's kind of a weird thing to say.

But there's this part of us that thinks in our mind, well, maybe this whole thing is like from the Lord.

And we start to think that when things look better, but then when things look worse, we do the exact opposite.

Well, maybe this isn't from the Lord, right?

That's how we function in it.

But it's much more God directing and not just because everything's coalescing, because it's becoming perfect.

We've got to move past this thinking.

We've got to move into this believing.

In other words, we've got to actually believe it.

Now, in his case, he's had multiple testimonies or different indicators over a period of time, maybe three, four months.

And maybe he's going to move out.

And initially, and I could tell you this from personal experience, it doesn't go super, super easy because first of all, he's going to have to adapt to a different climate and it's going to be different.

And even though it's coming from Arizona, it took Noel and I, like, three months to get acclimated to Texas.

That's just kind of sometimes that's what happens.

And then you're sitting there going, gee, did we make a mistake?

Did we make a mistake?

And instead of going through that thing, we have to do this weirder thing.

As Christians, you know what we have to do?

We have to believe that God knows how to direct us.

We have to have faith that God knows how to direct us.

We gotta stop letting the devil creep in.

How did he creep in against Eve?

Yeah.

Did God really say that?

But let's just use that very same tactic in a different way.

Yeah.

Is that really God?

Do you think it was really God?

I mean, things are going kind of hard.

Is it God?

Just because things get difficult doesn't mean the Lord's not in the middle of it.

In fact, he promises to deliver us and save us from those things.

Not to the experience of them, but to deliver us out of those things.

Even if the water comes up to our neck, he won't let us drown.

Even if we go get cast into the furnace, he won't let us burn to death.

In other words, he delivers us out of not, he helps us avoid them.

That thinking is just off.

Actually, it's quite immature.

The idea behind this is that God promises to be with us, not that everything is smooth sailing, but that everything is sailing on his waters.

In other words, he's directing the boat where to go.

And sometimes there's waves and sometimes there's wind, but he's still got us.

So I encourage you to move out of your.

Maybe it's from the Lord thinking to the Lord is with me.

And the Bible says if we be otherwise minded, God will reveal even this unto us.

So even if you got it wrong, because he's committed to you and you're committed to him, he's with you.

He's with me.

And we'll do things that are spot on and right and perfect.

And sometimes we'll do things that are not perfect and right, but we do them in the Lord.

And it's the faith that we have that pleases him.

And God is able to take that faith that we have and use it in the circumstance to make it good.

Probably didn't seem good to Abraham to go to a place where he thought he could get killed because they would want to sleep with his wife.

But God blessed him mightily out of it because that's what God does.

So let's believe instead of kicking it around in our mind.

Let's stand in faith.
