Welcome to a changed mind. Reality is a game. And like every game, there are winners and there are losers. Now that might sound harsh, but look around. 98% of people wake up every day reacting to life, chasing money, chasing time, chasing peace and losing the game. They don't even realize they're playing. Only 2% of people ever learn how to create their reality instead of just surviving it. They understand something the rest of the world doesn't. Most people are trapped in the third dimensional game where everything feels solid, fixed and slow. But the ones who seem superhuman, the ones who attract opportunities, money and timing that makes no logical sense, they're playing on the mental spiritual plane. The plane where reality is created, not chased. And I didn't always know that there was a time when I was completely losing the game. Wasn't that long ago I had two homes in foreclosure. I was addicted to drugs and alcohol. I woke up every day feeling trapped and having panic attacks like clockwork. But today, I built a $40 million business spoken on stages around the world, and helped thousands of people transform their inner and outer worlds through our events, our courses, and our programs. The point is, reality is not random. It's rule based. And once you understand the rules, you can outsmart them. No one has ever handed you the rule book when you arrived on Earth. No one said, hey, here's how you actually win the game. Instead, you were taught that life's a struggle, that you have to fight for everything, hustle endlessly, and earn your worth through hard work and stress. But that's not how reality works. That's how you lose. So in this episode, I'm going to give you five rules for outsmarting the game of reality. Rules that most people will never hear in their entire lifetime. Because when you understand these rules, you stop being a piece on the board and you become the player who moves the pieces. So let's get into it, starting off with the first rule. Rule number one. Reality is not physical. It's frequency in disguise. Now, this is something that's fundamental to understand. It goes all the way back to probably what your 6th grade science teacher taught you, that at the subatomic level, nothing is solid, nothing is stable. In other words, what looks like a solid share or a dollar bill is 99.999% empty space. Remember, everything is made of molecules. Molecules are made of atoms. Atoms consist of a nucleus that has protons and neutrons and an electron that's orbiting around it. But most of it is space. And in fact, science has now proven that even the smallest particles, when you look closer and closer and closer of what those pieces of the atom are made of, those tiny components aren't really particles at all. They flicker between wave and form, depending on whether or not they're being observed. That means your attention is literally shaping the material world. When you're observing something, the field collapses into form. This goes back to an adage that says, if a tree falls in the woods, but there's no one there to see it, does it make a sound? Well, the physicist says the quantum physicist. If a tree falls in the woods and there's no one there to see it, is there even a tree at all? Because what we've learned is that when you observe something, your presence actually collapses it into form. And when you withdraw attention, it returns to waveform possibilities. In other words, reality is coming in and out of form based on your presence, your awareness, your consciousness, and ultimately what you believe you are. The observer, the one that the universe waits on. To decide what becomes real. Think about that. Every outcome exists in potential until consciousness looks at it. In other words, it's a blank canvas. Your life can be anything, but it will be something. And what it will become depends on who you're being and what you're believing and thinking in that moment. So the world doesn't show you what is. It shows you what you're focusing on. In other words, you're not inside the universe, but the universe, or the potential for it, is actually inside your awareness. Now, quantum physicists call this the observer effect, and mystics have been saying it for thousands of years. This idea of as within, so is without. So what you feel, what you expect, what you focus on, that's what organizes itself into your physical world. So when you're afraid that you're not going to have enough money at the end of the month, you experience financial scarcity and insecurity. Something shows up like a bill at the end of the month that you didn't expect. And you're like, see, I knew it. I don't have enough. When you believe that you can't trust people and you're feeling mistrust on a habitual basis, you attract people into your life that seem to betray your trust. Like Henry Ford said, the man who believes he can and the man who believes he can't, they're both right. And what this means is that you're not here to react to the material world. You're here to actually instruct it. Your emotional state is the signal. Your attention is the brush and the quantum field is the canvas. And so when you live unconsciously, you keep painting the same picture, you keep reacting the same way over and over again to the experiences of your life. And so you continue to create the same experiences that you react the same way too. You end up in a Groundhog Day type of resistance where every day has some nuanced changes, but it's basically the same day over and over again. It's the same bank account over and over again. It's the same relationships over and over again. It's also really important to understand that when you look at the material world, it's really just delayed light. It is a slow echo of your vibration. And so when you change your internal frequency, the outer world must reorganize to match it. And this is why, as people start doing deep beliefs, transformational work, their life changes. This is why the number one best selling book on success and wealth in the history of the world, Think and Grow Rich, had one conclusion, which was that your thoughts are things and they're creating your reality. Because in truth, nothing solid has ever existed, only information that is vibrating fast enough to look real. Think about those old movie projectors. They would go from scene to scene to scene to scene to scene, and when you'd play them very, very quickly, it would look like the screen was moving. That's very much how reality functions. It's just information that is vibrating fast enough to actually look real. And once you understand this, you stop trying to push reality with force. That's like going up to the movie screen and trying to change the movie. And instead you start creating it and changing it with your frequency. That's you stepping back and becoming the projector of your own reality. Rule number two, your brain doesn't detect reality, it creates it. So this is really interesting, and science confirms it. The brain doesn't actually create reality, it just creates illusions of reality. Donald Hoffman calls this the interface theory of perception. He says it's like icons on a computer desktop. When you log on to your computer, you're able to play with the icons, but that's just a projection of the underlying code. So we don't see the underlying code of reality. All we see is the finished product that projects itself again onto the screen. You can almost think about it as reality, as a 360 degree almost fabric of a movie screen that is projecting based on your habit of thought and habit of emotion or your vibration and the way your brain works. Memory and imagination share the same neural circuits. And so that means the brain literally can't tell the difference between what's remembered, what's, what's imagined, or what's real. So what you believe over and over again starts to become neurologically true. You start to imprint it upon your brain. It literally becomes your nervous system. And so that projects itself into your reality and it starts to filter the way that you experience life. So if you believe that money is hard to make, you will miss money making opportunities and only pay attention to those experiences or data points around you that prove the theory that you have to be true. And so your beliefs don't just shape what you notice, they also shape what you allow yourself to experience. And the mind will delete any evidence that doesn't fit the story that you've been telling. You know, neuroscience tells us that only about 12% of your everything that you experience becomes part of your conscious awareness. 88% goes back into the database. And if it's not in alignment with your predominant theory, meaning your beliefs about life, your beliefs about yourself, your beliefs about money, it effectively gets deleted. So if your story is I'm not enough, you'll keep meeting life and experiences in life that prove that theory out to you. People will be unkind to you. You won't be able to achieve the success that you want. Your marketing campaign won't work. You'll lose your job so that you can experience I'm not enough. Remember, life is a mirror. And behavioral psychology proves this too. Basically says that whatever it is that you believe you experience as an emotion on a moment by moment basis. Your emotions determine what actions you do or do not take. And your actions produce results. And those results, 100% of the time will reinforce the belief that started the process in the first place. So oftentimes we have an experience in our life that we believe is causing us to believe a certain thing or think a certain thing, or feel a certain thing. But what's actually true is the belief. When was there in the first place. This is not a question of which came first, the chicken or the egg. Your beliefs are creating your reality. And in metaphysical terms, thoughts are things. So every belief and every thought that you have emits a frequency that interacts with the field of consciousness. The stronger the emotional charge around it, the faster it manifests as an experience in your life. And so you're not predicting the future, you're actually programming it. The outer world is a delayed mirror of your inner assumptions. If you change your inner assumption, then the reflection has no choice but to follow. Because consciousness doesn't again show you reality. It renders reality based upon the vibration that you are consistently holding. And once you get this, you stop arguing with the life that you don't want and you start redesigning it by changing what you believe. Because you realize that perception is not actually passive. It's the first act of creation. Rule number three. You don't think thoughts, you tune into them. So thoughts don't actually exist in your brain. They exist in the field of consciousness. Most people live believing their thoughts are personal. You know, I'm anxious, I'm failing, I'm behind. But your brain isn't a generator of thought. Your brain is an antenna. It's tuning into frequencies that already exist in the field of consciousness. I want you to imagine a radio. And when you turn the dial, you don't create the song, you receive the song. And by the way, the musician or the band is not inside of the radio. And the same is true for the thought. The information is not inside of your head. The information is actually Outside of you in the field, where all information that ever has been is now and ever will be exists, and you are able to tune into it. So when you're tuned into fear, you receive fearful thoughts. When you're tuned into abundance, you receive inspired ideas. And neuroscience shows that the mind is a pattern recognition machine. It constantly scans for familiar frequencies. This is the habit of thought. And it begins to amplify whatever matches your current emotional state. And that's why when you feel stressed, you attract more stressful thoughts. And why, if you actually want to create a change in your thought, it's oftentimes helpful to change your physiology. Go get a hard workout and go walk in nature. Go for a cold plunge or a hot sauna to change the way your body feels so that you can actually change the way that you think. And so this isn't personal, your thoughts, it's just physics. Your emotional state is your frequency. And you're also not only constantly receiving information in the form of thoughts, but you're constantly broadcasting. And reality simply mirrors that broadcast back. That's why inner work is what's referred to as the real hard work. Because when you shift your emotional signal, your entire thought stream changes. So thoughts of lack or fear or urgency, which are never true in the first place, begin to change to abundance, faith, confidence, and hope. But if you're consistently hanging out in these negative vibrations, they belong to a collective frequency. You'll continue to have negative thoughts in all kinds of different forms. But the moment you give your attention to them, you feed them energy. And the moment you observe them without resistance, they lose power and dissolve. And so this is why great teachers talk about the power of awareness. When you become aware of your thoughts without becoming entangled with them, they start to lose their power. In a way, awareness is the tuner. The more aware you become of your inner dialogue, the more precisely you can choose what frequency to align with. This is what meditation and presence actually do. They return you to a neutral state or a still point from which you can choose consciously instead of reacting unconsciously. So you don't actually fix your thoughts, you retune yourself. You start living as the consciousness behind the mind, not the noise within it. And from there, intuition begins to replace anxiety, inspiration begins replacing overthinking, and you start to receive thoughts that actually align with your desired reality, and life begins to reflect that back to you. There was a period of time in my career where I was continuing to broadcast my fear of being bullied to the universe. And so I kept attracting bullies And I had a business partner that I was working with that I was doing a great job for. But twice a year, he'd call me up, accuse me of lying to him, sic his accountants and his attorneys on me, and then eventually he'd go back into the nothingness again. But it was a very painful cycle for me to be experiencing. Always accusing me of cheating him, of not properly accounting for things to. One day I realized, wow, I create my own reality. And so I started working on this fear of being bullied. And I came to a new conclusion. I made a new decision that I could not be bullied unless I allowed someone to bully me. In other words, I took my power back. And so when this guy started barking again, I just ignored him. I literally didn't pay any attention. And he went through a whole cycle of barking and then just disappeared. And he never showed up again. A couple of months later, somebody came to me and asked if I was interested in selling my portion of the business that I had with him. Because my wife at one point said, hey, why don't you just make a decision that you're gon profitably exit this business? So I started having thoughts in alignment with that. I started becoming available to it, and then I started experiencing coincidences and synchronicities that aligned with it and ultimately sold my half of the business to somebody else and completely got out of the dynamic of the bully. But I didn't do it by trying to figure it out. I did it by realizing that I was creating my own reality. There was something inside of me from my early childhood based on an experience that I had when I was seven years old, where I was deeply afraid of being bullied. I had to work on that fear because while it was something that truly happened when I was a kid, it wasn't actually something I needed to carry forward with me as an adult. I mean, who can bully you if you're a sovereign adult? Nobody can bully you. And when I realized that, the bully disappeared. And so by shifting what you believe, you start to transform your reality. Rule number four, reality is a mirror. It only reflects what you believe your internal vibration is. So the outer world is not separate from you. It's an echo of your inner state. Every emotion, every belief, every assumption becomes the lens through which the world reflects itself back. We have this conversation a lot with entrepreneurs. Basically say, look, the balance of your business is the balance of your thoughts. The balance of your bank account is the balance of your thoughts. You're getting exactly what you deserve. So you have A lens through which you're viewing reality right now and it's mirroring it back to you. Change the lens and the reflection must also change. This is the law. And this is one of the beautiful things about life, is that it's consistent. A lot of people talk about life not being fair, but it actually is fair and it is just. You get exactly what you deserve. Now we could move into some larger conversations around, but what about people who experience things? Children, tragedies, war torn areas of the world, That's a deeper conversation. But just looking at your own life right now, assuming that's not where you're experiencing life, you're getting exactly what you deserve, meaning you're getting what you believe. These are just laws, this is justice. So the universe is actually law based and it's feedback based. And so the beautiful thing is that if you're getting feedback from the universe or the mirror that you don't like, you know that there's something inside of you that you have the opportunity to change. And so this mechanism of you experiencing problems is not punishing you, it's teaching you. It shows you exactly where you're vibrating. Not to shame you, but to awaken you and give you an opportunity to achieve your full potential. When you hold the vibration of fear or scarcity or doubt, life mirrors that signal through delay, resistance, conflict. Not because life is cruel, but because it's accurate. And this is really important to understand. This is actually where your power is. Because when you shift your internal state, your outer state begins to reorganize. Opportunities show up that weren't visible before. Relationships begin to reorganize themselves. Momentum starts to build. And now you have evidence to support these new belief systems. You start to make a little bit of money, so you become available to making more money. Your relationship shows some improvement. So now you're available for it to show a lot of improvement. And this is achieved because you've stopped trying to fix the reflection and you've started transforming the source, which is you. So this is actually a self perfecting system. You are part of a self perfecting and self organizing system. And ultimately you get what you want, but you also get what you fear. And again, not as punishment, but as a mirror revealing where your frequency, your thoughts, your emotions still need realignment. Because the universe knows where you want to go. And if you want to ultimately become the person who achieves the vision you have for your life, there's growth that's required. And this is how the system of growth functions. It reveals to you Your character defects and your vulnerabilities, so you have an opportunity to improve them. So a lot of times we look and we think other people have all the luck and we go, well, that person's not even a nice person. They're making a lot of money. But the universe is not really looking at whether someone is nice or not. That person will experience consequences of their bad behavior. But in the area of money, they might have a really clean consciousness. And so they will have financial prosperity and abundance, despite the fact that they have character defects in other areas. It doesn't play favorites, it plays frequencies. So whatever you broadcast, it returns to you in high fidelity. So once you understand that, you stop fighting the game. There's a lot of things that I see in the world today that I want to see changed. But I know that my job is to actually withdraw my attention from those things that I don't like and direct my attention to creating, for example, new systems, new companies, new opportunities, changes that I desire. And I realize that everything that I want to create in the world is a byproduct of me seeing things in the world that I don't like. But the challenge is most people don't understand how these laws or these rules work. And so we become addicted to paying attention to the thing that we don't like, or we feed or fuel even more energy into it by trying to resist it. But that's playing the third dimensional game. The way that you actually change your reality is to stop fighting the third dimensional screen and start doing the inner work. Because when you do, you begin to see reality as a living mirror, one that is always inviting you to evolve. And when you finally take responsibility for your reflection, you unlock your greatest creative power, which is alignment. You start living in alignment with the reality that you're creating. You start experiencing more joy, more happiness, more calm, more peace. And the reward or the byproduct for that is creating more of what you want. Rule number five, decide. Don't hope so. I've done a lot of different episodes on the power of decision. Decision is a command. You decide something. If you look at the Latin, it's decidere. It means to cut off all else other than what you have decided. Decision is a conviction. And if you actually look at a lot of the powerful stories in Scripture, in particular in the Bible, they're decisions. The Bible actually starts out with a very decision. Let there be light. It is a command. When you decide, you collapse the infinite possibilities that could be into one clear possibility that is so the universe Responds to decisions like a magnet. And I'm not talking about your decisions to do things. I'm talking about your decisions about things. Your decision that life is always working for your greatest growth, your greatest prosperity and your greatest evolution. Your decision that things are getting better in your life. Your decisions that you are worthy of financial abundance. Your decision that you have enough time to get the things done, and those things that do not get done can be turned over to tomorrow. Your decision that people are kind to you, that you can trust people, and that living in collaboration with others is the way of life that you choose. These are decisions about life, not decisions to do. You can make a decision to make a million dollars, but if your decision about money is that it's scarce, it's going to be really difficult to make that million dollars. So decisions are really powerful. They are the one force that starts to reshape and reorganize or sculpt and your reality. So reality will reorganize around your decisions. And when you hope something or you want something, if you really look at it, inside of hoping or wanting is doubt. There's resistance. Every time you hope for something, you send a mixed frequency. It's a wobble of deciding and doubting that creates delay, that creates resistance in whatever it is that you're wanting to change. But a decision is absolute. A decision is whole. When you decide, it is with conviction. And you no longer need the outcome. You've already claimed it internally. You're now living in an anticipation and an expectation that you don't know how, you don't know when, but you know that the result already exists, and you're just waiting for it to form out of the field of possibilities into a material reality. And that inner certainty begins to draw external proof. Evidence has to show up. Life starts showing up for you because you've stopped negotiating with it, hoping with it, doubting with it. And if you look at a lot of the hustle culture today and forcing it and believing, you need to work hard or find the perfect solution or the perfect person to try to solve your problem. That's all coming from fear. Flow comes from faith. And when you move from decision, your actions are automatic. And that doesn't mean that we don't put in a good day's work. It doesn't mean that sometimes we don't work long nights. We're taking action, but it's inspired action, and it's coming from a place of inevitability. I love what Arnold Schwarzenegger said in his Netflix film He had a three part series. He said people would see me at the gym doing another 600 pound squat or 400 pound bench press and I would have a smile on my face and people would say, why do you have a smile on your face? And he said, because I've made a decision. I've made a decision that I'm going to become Mr. Olympia. And I know that it is inevitability. And so every squat I do, every bench press I do, I'm one more rep closer to my goal. The challenge or the problem is not that we need to put in effort or work, it's that we're doubting whether or not the work is going to work. But when you've decided because you know how reality works and you understand these laws and you've claimed what's yours, now it's just a matter of time, it's just a matter of steps. And now you can enjoy the journey forward, even during those challenging times, because you know your outcome is inevitable. Doubt is the enemy, fear is the enemy. And force is a byproduct of the doubt. And the fear flow is the movement of a consciousness that already knows it's done. So decisions not only collapse the resistance inside of you into a conviction, decisions collapse the potential around you into the path. So the moment you decide, the path begins to reveal itself and you say, but Dave, how can I have that level of conviction? Well, you start living according to these principles and reality will give you a feedback that will help you build faith in the fact that this is truly how it works, that you are a powerful creator and you are creating your own reality. I had just been playing according to the bad rules of life. And as you build that conviction inside of you, now your job is to dream, envision, listen, and then move naturally with whatever shows up. You don't fight reality, you surf it. Do I play this game perfectly? No. I was sharing with my community on a group call the other day, that last three or four days, I was spending a tremendous amount of suffering and resistance. But I understand the game. We're always going to get lost in it. And every time we do, it's an opportunity for us to strengthen the way that we play the game, but it's just like going to the gym. You go in and you lift some heavier weights and it's going to feel wobbly at first. I'm at a new level in my life right now and every time I get to a new level there's a wobble. But then I reorganize and I strengthen myself because I understand that these are the principles that govern reality. So when you decide, you set the wave in motion and when you doubt, you get pulled underneath the ocean. And so the important thing here is to stop hoping, stop praying, start deciding.
