Liz's journey to wellness began over 20 years ago. She was plagued by several significant health conditions after the birth of her second child. After nearly 2 years of ineffective treatment by traditional doctors and specialists and the use of multiple pharmaceutical medications, her OB/GYN told her he didn’t know what else he could do for her, but he gave Liz an article out of a medical journal. It was about a broad reaching condition called Candidiasis and the plethora of symptoms described me perfectly. It talked about how specific dietary changes and nutritional supplementation were showing incredible promise in healing this health condition. Liz began reading and researching. She needed to make a change… and this made sense.
The lifestyle and dietary modifications Liz made changed her life. She felt great, her energy came back and so did her overall health. It set Liz on a personal path of helping others find their way to health. She was hooked on exercise and healthy eating habits. Liz earned a certification as a Personal Trainer (A.C.E.) in 1998. In 2001, she completed a 200 hour Teacher Training program to become a registered Yoga Teacher (Yoga Alliance). Becoming a Yoga Instructor enabled Liz to make the mind body connection and further enhance her ability to assist others along their path to wellness. Most recently, Liz completed a 1 year program to become a certified Health and Wellness Coach (Institute for Integrative Nutrition).
Liz is also our resident yoga instructor at Life Strength & Health!
