The Bible calls Job “blameless and upright, one who feared God and turned away from evil.”

But this man, who scripture also refers to as the “greatest of all people of east” faced a series of withering trials.  

While theologians debate the reason for his suffering, Job himself reveals that the ordeals he endured gave him a unique and special relationship with God.

So is the story of many who suffer agonizing afflictions.
