Shownotes

Show Notes:

This week, Fiona interviews Ajit George, the director of operations of Shanti Bhavan Children's Project, an international nonprofit organization based in Bangalore, India, that provides free education to socially disadvantaged children.

Ajit is a game designer, diversity consultant, and activist in the gaming community, having written for a variety of indie game companies including Bully Pulpit games and Monte Cook Games.

Ajit is best known in the TTRPG industry for his role as the creator, co-lead designer and author of the Dungeons & Dragons anthology 'Journeys through the Radiant Citadel' - the first anthology of D&D adventures to be written entirely by Black and brown authors.

From the 'Journeys through the Radiant Citadel's bio:

'Through the mists of the Ethereal Plane shines the Radiant Citadel. Travelers from across the multiverse flock to this mysterious bastion to share their traditions, stories, and calls for heroes. A crossroads of wonders and adventures, the Radiant Citadel is the first step on the path to legend. Where will your journeys take you?

Journeys through the Radiant Citadel is a collection of thirteen short, stand-alone D&D adventures featuring challenges for character levels 1–14. Each adventure has ties to the Radiant Citadel, a magical city with connections to lands rich with excitement and danger, and each can be run by itself or as part of an ongoing campaign.'

Book discussed: 'Journeys through the Radiant Citadel' published by Wizards of the Coast, July 2022.
