Professor Kenneth Armstrong holds the Chair in European Law at the University of Cambridge and is a fellow at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. He was previously Professor of EU Law at Queen Mary in London and before that held positions at Keele University and the University of Manchester.
Professor Armstrong has published very widely in the field of European law and European studies, with a particular expertise in the area of European governance. His book, Governing Social Inclusion: Europeanization Through Policy Coordination, was published by OUP in 2011 and won the 2011 Best Book Prize awarded by the University Association of Contemporary European Union Studies (EUSA). Professor Armstrong is also Director the Centre for European Legal Studies (CELS).
Professor Armstrong gave an evening seminar entitled "New Governance and the European Union: An Empirical And Conceptual Critique" on Thursday 19 February 2015 at the Alison Richards Building as a guest of POLIS (the Department of Politics and International Studies).
