If your business feels heavier than it should, this episode is for you. So many service-based entrepreneurs hit a revenue plateau not because they lack strategy, but because they've built a business around someone else's rules instead of their own strengths. In this episode of The Real Truth About Business podcast, I'm talking about why so many business owners outgrow the niche, title, or business model they originally chose and why forcing yourself to stay there can lead straight to burnout. I'll share my own journey of stepping back into my financial expertise, why I'm expanding my offers to include profit strategy, and how embracing all of my skills has created more business growth, more aligned clients, and more excitement than I've felt in a long time. If you've been wondering whether your business strategy still fits who you are today, this conversation will challenge you to stop waiting for permission and start building a business that's actually aligned with where you're going.
[00:00] Introduction: Does your business still feel like you?
[04:40] Why hiding your experience may be costing you opportunities
[09:20] The problem with online business "rules" and forced specialization
[14:00] Filling the gaps your clients actually need instead of sending them elsewhere
[21:20] What changed when I stopped forcing myself into a box
[23:50] New profit-focused offers and why paying yourself comes first
[26:00] Final encouragement to build your business your way
After nearly 10 years in business, I've realized something that I think more service-based entrepreneurs need to hear: the business you built five years ago may not be the business you're meant to run today. We evolve. Our experience grows. Our interests shift. Yet so many business owners keep trying to fit inside an identity they outgrew because someone once told them to niche down or stay in their lane.
That's exactly what creates so much unnecessary frustration. When your business strategy no longer reflects your strengths, growth starts to feel like an uphill battle. Instead of creating offers that genuinely excite you, you're trying to maintain a version of your business that no longer fits.
One of the biggest realizations I've had this year is that I've been hiding one of my greatest strengths. My accounting background and financial expertise have always influenced the way I help clients build profitable businesses, but I wasn't talking about it because I didn't think it "fit" my brand.
The truth is, my clients don't want another disconnected expert. They want someone who understands the entire picture. That's why I've expanded into profit strategy. It allows me to connect business strategy with the financial decisions that actually drive sustainable revenue growth. When you already have the skills to solve a bigger problem for your clients, don't assume you have to send them somewhere else simply because someone else owns that title.
The biggest lesson from this episode is simple: there are best practices in business, but there are very few rules. If you're constantly waiting for permission to evolve, you'll stay stuck serving yesterday's version of yourself.
Instead, look at where your clients have gaps. Ask yourself what knowledge, experience, and skills you've been minimizing because they don't fit neatly into your current offer. Building a profitable service-based business isn't about becoming everything to everyone. It's about owning the value you already bring and creating offers that align with who you are today. That's where sustainable business growth happens.

When was the last time you stopped and asked yourself, does my business still feel like me?
Speaker A:Not the question of is it making money?
Speaker A:Not the question of is it growing?
Speaker A:Not what does it look like to everybody else?
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:But does it actually feel aligned with who I am today and what lights me up?
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:Because I have been having a lot of conversations lately, and I have been noticing a of lot, a lot of the same pattern, myself included, where so many business owners are trying to fit themselves into boxes that, A, we never wanted to be in, or B, we no longer fit.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:We keep trying to use certain titles, create certain offers, you know, lay out certain business models, follow certain business models that make sense because somebody else said, this is the way to do it.
Speaker A:Or it made sense maybe five years ago.
Speaker A:It made sense when you first started out.
Speaker A:It made sense in the.
Speaker A:In that moment, Right?
Speaker A:But it doesn't make sense right now.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:And all the while, we're sitting on these skills and experience and ideas that could create far more impact.
Speaker A:But because we've shoved ourselves into this box, we don't feel like we can do it.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:And we're waiting for permission or we're waiting, you know, we don't do it because we don't want to step on toes or whatever it is.
Speaker A:And that's what I want to talk about today.
Speaker A:And if you've been following along, if you're on my email list, then you've probably heard some of this story.
Speaker A:If you're not on my email list, then I highly recommend you get on it.
Speaker A:But, yeah, I want to talk about this today because it's going to lay the foundation for the rest of the month on the pod.
Speaker A:But also just a conversation I think really freaking needs to be had right now.
Speaker A:So, anyway, let's dive in.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:I really.
Speaker A:Yeah, I just want to talk about this.
Speaker A:So I have been so transparent with you guys and all of you that, listen, I am so freaking grateful for all of you.
Speaker A: And: Speaker A:Like, I feel like there's like this, like, evolution that just does not stop lately.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:But it's all so good.
Speaker A:But it's all so messy, and it feels like what in the actual F is going on?
Speaker A:But I'm telling you, when you just kind of ride the wave through the mess, there's so much that comes out on the other side.
Speaker A:So, you know, I have been changing my offers, evolving my offers.
Speaker A:I evolved them even since the last episode, I think, you know, when I announced my Q2 debrief, I, like, have changed my offers since then, whatever.
Speaker A:And then, like, they keep changing.
Speaker A:And it's not because I love changing my offer all the time.
Speaker A:By no means do I enjoy doing that, but I just keep finding these.
Speaker A:These situations, right?
Speaker A:These things keep coming to the forefront for me that are making me go, wait, right?
Speaker A:And I've been having a lot of these same conversations with a lot of really great colleagues who are feeling like I feel like I'm shoved myself into a box.
Speaker A:I don't know if I really want to do this.
Speaker A:I don't see how I can continue to grow it in this way, right?
Speaker A:Like, there's this feeling of, like, things are going okay, they're flowing, right?
Speaker A:But, like, is this really me?
Speaker A:And, like, is this all I get to talk about for the rest of time, right?
Speaker A:Because what I am finding, especially with the conversations I'm having with people who have been in corporate or have been in the online space for a long time.
Speaker A:And again, this is not everybody.
Speaker A:This is just what I'm seeing right now is like, we are very, very skilled individuals, right?
Speaker A:And we have a lot of skills, but in the online space, you can only bring, like, a set of them to the table.
Speaker A:Because if you have too many skills, you're confusing your audience.
Speaker A:If you try to talk to too many people, you're confusing your audience.
Speaker A:If you are doing too many things, you're stepping on people's toes, right?
Speaker A:And I'm all for stay in your lane.
Speaker A:Like, I am all for stay in your lane.
Speaker A:I just had a conversation with somebody who was working with somebody as an OBM on one thing.
Speaker A:And then situation changed.
Speaker A:She no longer needed an OBM in the OBM's like, okay, well, now I'll be your business coach.
Speaker A:And I'm like, wait a second.
Speaker A:Is that really what you want to do?
Speaker A:Because that's not what we talked about, right?
Speaker A:But there's that side of it.
Speaker A:But there's this other side of it where it's like, what if we have all the skills and why are we continuing to outsource it to people when we literally could do it ourselves and we could be that person for our clients?
Speaker A:And so I will, of course, give you my own example.
Speaker A:You know, I've been talking about how I have a financial background.
Speaker A:I've been in accounting since I was 15 freaking years old.
Speaker A:It was literally my first job working in accounts receivable.
Speaker A:And I lit.
Speaker A:I just shoved it under the rug.
Speaker A:Now, I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker A:When I came into the online space, I didn't really want to do accounting because I was super burned out by it, right?
Speaker A:I didn't want to be a bookkeeper.
Speaker A:I didn't want to do all the things.
Speaker A:And so I just kind of shoved it under the rug.
Speaker A:Plus, then I started immediately hiring coaches were like, you got to do one thing.
Speaker A:You got to be this.
Speaker A:This is who you are.
Speaker A:This is what you do, right?
Speaker A:This is, you know, this is how you niche down, whatever, right?
Speaker A:But the more and more business has grown now, mind you, I'm ten years into this.
Speaker A: re's this urge, especially in: Speaker A:And I've been having a lot of conversations, and people started talking to me, and I was like, well, what do we do this and what do we.
Speaker A:You know?
Speaker A:And we're having these, like, conversations.
Speaker A:And then I have a conversation with a fractional cfo, and she's like, well, what I do?
Speaker A:And I was like, oh, yeah, I do that for my clients, too.
Speaker A:Oh, yeah, I. I do that for my clients.
Speaker A:Oh, I have that calculator.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:What I have is.
Speaker A:And she's like, michelle, you are literally a fractional cfo.
Speaker A:And I was like, she's like, you're just not calling yourself that.
Speaker A:And I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.
Speaker A:And I just, like, blew it off.
Speaker A:And then I just couldn't blow it off anymore because it just kept coming to the surface.
Speaker A:It's like, you know, people started recommending me, and they're like, the reason I work with Michelle is because she's all about profit, because she understands the money side, because she gets it.
Speaker A:Everything ties back to money.
Speaker A:And then I'm having conversations with clients, right, who are.
Speaker A:I'm working with them on the business strategy side.
Speaker A:And then we're in a conversation like, oh, yeah, I hired this person, or I did this, or I made this investment, and I'm like, wait a second, What?
Speaker A:Like, when did.
Speaker A:Why?
Speaker A:And there is no like, conversation.
Speaker A:They don't have a cfo.
Speaker A:They don't have anybody looking at their financials.
Speaker A:They don't have anybody helping them to understand their profit.
Speaker A:Now, on inside of f EA, do we look at profit?
Speaker A:Yes, because we look at it through the pricing lens.
Speaker A:We.
Speaker A:We look at how are we pricing our offers per profit.
Speaker A:But I didn't have access to people's financials, like their P and L, and really understanding, like, what's going on and where are you making investments and all of these things.
Speaker A:And so I was like, encouraging them to go work with a cfo.
Speaker A:And then it dawned on me, like, why.
Speaker A:Why am I sending my clients to go work with somebody else when I literally could do this?
Speaker A:And I know their freaking business, and I know what's going on.
Speaker A:I know the strategy we're trying to work, and I know I could give them solid advice on this.
Speaker A:And so I also am in this place of, like, see the gap, fill the gap, right?
Speaker A:If you can see a gap and you can fill the gap, you don't need to send the gap.
Speaker A:You don't need to send the person out, right?
Speaker A:But I think what's happened is, like, we're waiting.
Speaker A:We don't do it.
Speaker A:And we're doing.
Speaker A:We're not filling the gap because we feel like we're going to step on somebody else's toes.
Speaker A:Well, that's not my job.
Speaker A:That's a CFO's job.
Speaker A:Well, that's not my job as a bookkeeper.
Speaker A:That's a tax, you know, whatever.
Speaker A:Or maybe, you know, I'm only working with them on their marketing, so I can't give them any advice on their sales process.
Speaker A:But, you know, you have the knowledge for it.
Speaker A:You know you can do it.
Speaker A:And here's my thing is I'm literally living in this world of, like, if you see a gap and you know you can fill it and you want to fill it, fill the fricking gap, right?
Speaker A:I was having a conversation with somebody, and she was like, I just feel like I've got myself pigeonholed into this.
Speaker A:And I was like, but why?
Speaker A:Like, why?
Speaker A:Because somebody told you you had to, but it's not lighting you up.
Speaker A:You're on the edge of burnout.
Speaker A:You're.
Speaker A:You know, anytime I'm on the edge of burnout, if I really think about it, it's because I'm stopped building my business in alignment with myself.
Speaker A:I stopped building my business in a way that felt really freaking good to me.
Speaker A:And I want you to hear that, because I know there are some of you living in this pattern right now where you are, like, on the edge of burnout when really you're on the edge of burnout simply because you're trying to do or force yourself into a box that you don't want to freaking be forced into.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:Now there's power in niching.
Speaker A:There are some people that do extremely well with it.
Speaker A:But there are also people like myself or, you know, many of my clients and colleagues who are multi passionate and who have a lot of skills.
Speaker A:And I think some of this comes back to, like I said, the corporate background.
Speaker A:A lot of people in corporate.
Speaker A:You wore a lot of hats.
Speaker A:In my corporate background, in the last job I had, I was not only the accounting manager, I was the production manager, I was the operations manager, I was the executive assistant to the owner.
Speaker A:I was the liaison between sales and engineering, and basically your tech person.
Speaker A:I was the go to for our ERP system and all of our consultants that we worked with on that.
Speaker A:I had a lot of skills and we were constantly being sent out to learn more skills.
Speaker A:I went to an hr, I went to an HR class, I took a payroll class.
Speaker A:I did all of the things right.
Speaker A:And anytime there was an opportunity to learn something new, I signed up for it because I wanted to build my skills.
Speaker A:Because in the job force, having a resume full of skills is an asset.
Speaker A:But somewhere along the lines in the online business space, all those skills became a.
Speaker A:You're trying to do too many things.
Speaker A:You're confusing your audience.
Speaker A:You're stepping on people's toes.
Speaker A:You should stay in your own lane.
Speaker A:Okay, who decided that?
Speaker A:Who.
Speaker A:Who decided that?
Speaker A:Who decided those rules?
Speaker A:Who made that up?
Speaker A:Who said we couldn't be skilled, multi skilled individuals?
Speaker A:Because last time I checked, people really appreciate that.
Speaker A:And so I. I'm having this conversation with myself right as I'm going, why am I not offering the CFO side?
Speaker A:Why am I not doing that?
Speaker A:And so I put the question out to my clients and I was like, listen, I have a question for you guys.
Speaker A:If I started offering this service, would that be of interest to you?
Speaker A:Or do you like keeping things separated?
Speaker A:Do you like knowing that your financial stuff is separated and being handled by somebody else?
Speaker A:And most of them were like, no, we would love it if you would just do.
Speaker A:Why would we want.
Speaker A:You're already so deep into our business, it would be so much easier if we could just do this side of it too.
Speaker A:And I'm like, exactly.
Speaker A:That's my whole point.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:So again, my clients are literally saying, no, we don't want to go find somebody else.
Speaker A:We want you to do it.
Speaker A:Now, again, I'm not sitting here saying, do something you don't want to do, right?
Speaker A:But if you want to do it and you can do it and you know you're good at it and your clients are saying, yes, they want it, why are we turning down the money.
Speaker A:Why are we telling people, oh, I'm sorry, I.
Speaker A:That doesn't fit.
Speaker A:When it fits perfectly, right?
Speaker A:And this is what I'm seeing happen is like, we.
Speaker A:We have these gaps and we know we can fill them, but we're afraid to fill them because we're afraid to step on somebody's toes or we're afraid we might not, you know, we waiting on permission or we don't.
Speaker A:Just stop.
Speaker A:Just stop.
Speaker A:Seriously.
Speaker A:All of these rules in the online space are made up.
Speaker A:They are made up and they are made up by people trying to sell you the thing that is pivots, like pigeonholes you into their offer only.
Speaker A:And I literally am like, I'm so done with this.
Speaker A:I don't care.
Speaker A:I have some CFO friends and I love them and I would still refer them, right, because they're.
Speaker A:I have a certain clientele that I like working with, but if I'm already knee deep with somebody and they're in fea, and I'm working with them on their pricing and I'm working with them on their packaging, and I'm working with them on their.
Speaker A:On their pipeline and their offers and their clients and all the things.
Speaker A:And I know what their goals are.
Speaker A:I know what we're trying to achieve.
Speaker A:Doesn't it just make sense for me to also be on the financial side?
Speaker A:And so I'm going for it.
Speaker A:I'm going for it.
Speaker A:You're going to start hearing me talk.
Speaker A:The rest of several of the episodes in August are going to be around profit and cash flow.
Speaker A:I'm going to start talking about paying yourself first, because these are the topics that I know people need and I know that there is a gap, and I am going to fill the damn gap.
Speaker A:And maybe there are other people out there filling the gap, too, and that's okay.
Speaker A:But I also can fill the gap and I'm going to fill it for my clients.
Speaker A:And I feel really freaking good about that.
Speaker A:I feel really good.
Speaker A:Because I don't want.
Speaker A:There is this strategy side is one thing, but then the financial side, they go together.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:Because when we are building a business and we are working on building a business profitably and sustainably, what is going to help me help you build a more profitable business is when I have a full understanding of what is actually going on in your finance.
Speaker A:Finances.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:And I can also help you to determine how exactly are we going to pay ourselves?
Speaker A:When are you going to pay yourself?
Speaker A:What does the paycheck look like?
Speaker A:How are you going to take it?
Speaker A:When do you get paid what's projected?
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:Like, there are so many things that I'm super excited about.
Speaker A:Like, these are the things that I love to freaking do.
Speaker A:This is what I love.
Speaker A:I am a number cruncher.
Speaker A:I love this shit.
Speaker A:But I also am really good at marketing.
Speaker A:I'm re.
Speaker A:I'm good at helping you create packages.
Speaker A:I'm also really good at helping you to create the strategy to move people through your pipeline.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:Like, I get to be good at all the things, and I'm done apologizing for it, and I want you to be done apologizing for it, too.
Speaker A:And so I want you to really listen to this episode, and I want you to freaking get a list, open up your phone, open up your app, and I want you to start making a damn list of all the things you're good at.
Speaker A:And I also want you to make a list of all the gaps that you're seeing in your clients that you're like, you know what?
Speaker A:I could feel fill that gap, and I actually would love to fill that gap, but I feel bad about filling that gap.
Speaker A:And I want you to ask yourself, do you feel bad about filling that gap?
Speaker A:Because why, right?
Speaker A:Why is it going to take business away from a friend?
Speaker A:Like, what's making you feel bad about it?
Speaker A:Is it.
Speaker A:Do you feel bad about it simply because the online space said you should feel bad about it?
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:Like, again, there's enough money and clients and everything for it to go around.
Speaker A:And me adding on these services has nothing to do with a place of lack.
Speaker A:Has nothing to do with a place of, oh, she must not be happy.
Speaker A:It has a place.
Speaker A:It's literally.
Speaker A:Literally like, no, I can make.
Speaker A:I can serve my clients better.
Speaker A:Everything for me is all about how can I make the experience better?
Speaker A:How can I.
Speaker A:How can I give my clients everything that they need to be a freaking successful, profitable business owner?
Speaker A:That is what is most important to me.
Speaker A:And then when a client comes to me and tells me that they hired somebody or that they invested into this or they bought this program or this software when I know damn well they didn't need it, and I could have saved them $600 because quite honestly, they didn't need it, but they bought it because somebody told them they needed it, but it didn't align with where we were going and their goals, and I could have just easily had a quick conversation with them to understand, no, we didn't quite need that.
Speaker A:That's going to save them, right?
Speaker A:Having a conversation with a client right now who is invested into something that she doesn't need to be invested into.
Speaker A:And we're having a conversation going, but it doesn't make financial sense.
Speaker A:Again, facts over emotion, right?
Speaker A:This is what I'm saying.
Speaker A:Like, what are the facts of the situation?
Speaker A:Because are you letting emotion drive your.
Speaker A:Your decisions of like, oh, I shouldn't do that.
Speaker A:Why do you have facts that state you shouldn't do it?
Speaker A:Or is it emotion?
Speaker A:Because honestly, your clients probably would love to see you fulfill more of those gaps for them, but they don't know that you have those skills.
Speaker A:Because we don't talk about it, because we don't tell anybody about it, because we feel weird about it.
Speaker A:But let's just stop feeling weird about it.
Speaker A:Let's just start owning who the hell we are.
Speaker A:And who I am is a multi passionate, highly skilled individual.
Speaker A:And I'm done feeling bad about that because it's what makes me who I am.
Speaker A:It's what makes me a powerful fricking strategist, right?
Speaker A:And again, I'm not sitting here saying I can be everything to everyone, but I know where my skills are and I know what I excel at and I know how I can help people.
Speaker A:And as long as I'm clear on that, then what the difference does all this other bullshit make?
Speaker A:It doesn't, right?
Speaker A:But again, we're living and waiting for permission.
Speaker A:We're waiting and we're, you know, we're just living by these unspoken rules that aren't really freaking rules.
Speaker A:Like I said, go in a corporate job and they'd be happy to give you more tasks, right?
Speaker A:Again, this is not about just loading your plate.
Speaker A:This is not that.
Speaker A:But I'm saying if, you know, you have a skill that you could bring to the table that's going to help your clients, and you actually love it, but it falls a little bit out of line with what you're currently doing.
Speaker A:Who cares?
Speaker A:Like, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker A:Like, bring it to the damn table.
Speaker A:Bring me all your cards.
Speaker A:Tell me what you got.
Speaker A:Because the most annoying thing is trying to hire multiple people and then having to manage multiple people and then also getting multiple people on the same page, right?
Speaker A:I think about it like this, of like my grandmothers now, you know, my.
Speaker A:My one grandmother just passed away.
Speaker A:Or maybe you didn't, but she did.
Speaker A:And towards the end, she had so many specialists with her doctors, right?
Speaker A:She had a cardiac specialist, she had a pulmonary specialist, she had her gp, she had.
Speaker A:I don't even know who the hell else, but none of Them talk to each other.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:The cardiologist doesn't know what the pulmonologist is doing, the pulmonologist doesn't know what the GP is doing.
Speaker A:And because everybody's only so specialized in their own little thing versus 100 years ago you had a GP in your GP and now I'm not saying that there's not a time and a place for specialization.
Speaker A:There is.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:Like that's why I'm saying I'm not a tax strategist.
Speaker A:That's a specialization.
Speaker A:I am not.
Speaker A:I am not a cpa.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:That's a specialization.
Speaker A:I am not, I am not trying to live in all the lanes.
Speaker A:But what I am saying is that I have an accounting background and I can offer bookkeeping and I can offer profit strategy.
Speaker A:And that's what that comes down to.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:Because I don't.
Speaker A:You don't need to hire a CFO when you're already working with a strategist who is also a profit strategist and understands cash flow.
Speaker A:Like I could do all of the things.
Speaker A:And now we're making decisions from even more solid facts, which you know I love.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:So it's like, that's what I'm saying is like look at and see where there's gaps and where there is disconnect happening for your clients simply because they have too many hands in the pot and the.
Speaker A:It's impossible to get all the hands talking to each other.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:That's what I'm talking about here.
Speaker A:And also like, I just want to give you permission to be a multi passionate.
Speaker A:I really do.
Speaker A:I want to give you permission to be a multi passionate and you can build it.
Speaker A:And I'm going to tell you exactly what's happened is I literally tried to shove myself in a box in Q2.
Speaker A:I told you this, told you that back on my Q2 debrief.
Speaker A:If you haven't listened to it, go listen to it.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:Shove myself into a box.
Speaker A:Misery.
Speaker A:I did not sign.
Speaker A:I'm being so honest and transparent with you right now.
Speaker A:I did not sign a long term like FBA client from February.
Speaker A:I didn't sign one in February.
Speaker A:March, April.
Speaker A:No, no, no, no.
Speaker A:I did sign in February.
Speaker A:March, April, May, maybe one in.
Speaker A:I don't even think I did one in June.
Speaker A:Now it's not to say I didn't make any money in those other months.
Speaker A:I did, I made some money on some one off stuff, whatever, but I didn't sign any new clients since I decided to stop playing by all these Fricking rules and just build my business in the way that I know how to build my business.
Speaker A:I've signed six new clients and I have two other really warm leads coming.
Speaker A:Three more warm leads, I think, like really hot leads calls happening tomorrow.
Speaker A:That just goes to show you right there, that when you live in alignment and you build your business in alignment, everything works.
Speaker A:So I really want you to digest this and I want you to think about this and I want you to really ask yourself, am I?
Speaker A:If things are feeling like a uphill slog right now, is it because you're just simply living out of alignment?
Speaker A:Is it because you've pushed yourself into a box that you freaking hate being in?
Speaker A:Is it that you know that you could be offering more and doing more for your clients, but somebody told you you shouldn't?
Speaker A:If so I want to like, have a conversation with me, literally just book a free call.
Speaker A:The link is in the show notes.
Speaker A:Always.
Speaker A:There's always, always, always a link to book a free call in the show notes.
Speaker A:And I wish more of you would take me up on it for real.
Speaker A:Like, police, get on my calendar, police.
Speaker A:And let's talk about it.
Speaker A:Because if I could have one 30 minute conversation with you that unlocks something.
Speaker A:Like, I had a conversation with somebody last week and she was like, you literally just unlocked so much for me.
Speaker A:And I have been blocked on this for weeks, months, on the edge of burnout, ready to give up.
Speaker A:And now I'm like, this is exactly why.
Speaker A:This is exactly why.
Speaker A:So please, for the love of God, get on my calendar and for the love of God, just go live your damn life and build your business however you feel like it.
Speaker A:Because these rules that we all trying to play by, they're made up.
Speaker A:I mean, there's best practices, but there's no rules in business.
Speaker A:There's IRS rules, okay, but there's no rules when it comes to how to build a business.
Speaker A:There are best practices, but what I always say, every strategy works, they're just not all gonna work for you.
Speaker A:So find the damn strategy that works.
Speaker A:And what works for me is filling the gaps and being a multi passionate and whatever, right?
Speaker A:Like, just go do it.
Speaker A:You get to, you get to do whatever the hell you want.
Speaker A:Like again, now there's always strategy.
Speaker A:Not going to sit here and say there's not strategy around it.
Speaker A:I'm not going to sit here and say it's not confusing to some people.
Speaker A:Because now I'm like, well, I've got FBA and I've got profit strategy they are an profit strategy.
Speaker A:As an add on, you could also come to me just straight for profit strategy, but I also have to learn a little bit more about your business.
Speaker A:But if you, if you're good on the strategy side as far as growth and you just need somebody to help you with the financials.
Speaker A:Yeah, I can do that as a standalone.
Speaker A:I also have, I'm working on, I have a new offer called before you invest and this is the one I'm most excited about.
Speaker A:On the financial side, it's literally going to be a call where you come to me before you invest in something else.
Speaker A:Now I, I know that sounds counterintuitive because it is a paid call, so you would have to invest into me.
Speaker A:But my point is, is like let's say you're in, you want to invest into a brand new software, you're thinking about switching from whatever software you're using to an all in one platform and it's a big huge investment and you're hiring somebo to do it and blah blah, blah.
Speaker A:Okay, well let's look at like, why are you doing this?
Speaker A:What is the business strategy side of it and then what is the financial side of it?
Speaker A:Is now the right time financially?
Speaker A:How is this going to impact you in your paycheck?
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:Like, is this the right time to say yes or do we need to gather and secure a few more things before we say yes?
Speaker A:So it's literally just that, like, come to me and let's break it down and let's look at it from a both a business and financial side and make sure that it is the right time to invest.
Speaker A:And that could be a coach you're considering, it could be a program you're considering, it could be anything.
Speaker A:Just a.
Speaker A:Before you invest, let's make sure it makes financial sense because I want to make sure that you are still able to pay yourself first before you pay everybody else.
Speaker A:Because in business, if we're not paying ourselves, what in the actual F are we doing?
Speaker A:So I'm excited about it and it feels so good and my clients are loving it and it's just been the most freeing thing I have done for myself and my business in a long time.
Speaker A:And I just am sharing this on the podcast today because I want you to have this feeling.
Speaker A:I literally do.
Speaker A:I want everybody to feel like this.
Speaker A:I want you to feel the joy, I want you to feel the ease.
Speaker A:I want you to feel the excitement, the happiness.
Speaker A:Like I literally.
Speaker A:My WhatsApp blows up on a regular like every day.
Speaker A:My WhatsApp is just blowing up and I literally see the notifications and I'm like, I can't wait to see what they're doing today.
Speaker A:Like, it is the best feeling.
Speaker A:It's the best freaking feeling.
Speaker A:I had a client send me a P and L and I was immediately like, why are we doing this?
Speaker A:What are we doing here?
Speaker A:And she was like, I don't know.
Speaker A:I have no idea.
Speaker A:And I'm like, okay, let's fix it.
Speaker A:She's like, yes, please.
Speaker A:Like, hello?
Speaker A:Is that not the best freaking feeling in the whole wide world?
Speaker A:Like, it just is.
Speaker A:And I want you to feel that.
Speaker A:And so really sit with this episode and ask yourself, where are you holding yourself back?
Speaker A:Because some made up rule in the online space says you should.
Speaker A:Honestly, I know it sounds spicy, but I. I'm just.
Speaker A:I'm just kind of sick of it.
Speaker A:I'm sick of the, you know, all these rules that we have to follow.
Speaker A:Like, why?
Speaker A:Who decided that?
Speaker A:That's my favorite question and I'd love for you to keep that one.
Speaker A:Like, put a post it note on your computer and just go, who decided that?
Speaker A:If the answer is not you, you decided that, then reevaluate it because you are the one that gets to decide about your business.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:I'm going to see you on the next couple episodes.
Speaker A:You're going to start hearing more financial talk from me.
Speaker A:I'm excited about it.
Speaker A:I'm happy to help.
Speaker A:You need help, Please, Like I said, for the love of God, jump on my calendar.
Speaker A:Jump on my calendar.
Speaker A:Let's have a chat.
Speaker A:Let's have a chat.
Speaker A:Even if it's just a chat, I just want to get to know you.
Speaker A:Tell me about you.
Speaker A:Let's talk about it.
Speaker A:Tell me what you're struggling with.
Speaker A:Tell me where you're feeling.
Speaker A:Like there's a gap.
Speaker A:Let's see if we can fill it.
Speaker A:Let's see if we can fill it and put more money in your pocket, because that's what we're here to do.
Speaker A:We're here to make more money and we're here to put money in our pockets.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:We can bless everybody else when we put money in our pockets first.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:Keep that in mind.
Speaker A:Remember that you don't have to bless everybody else but yourself.
Speaker A:You bless yourself first and then you pay everybody else.
Speaker A:All right?
Speaker A:I believe you.
Speaker A:I believe in you.
Speaker A:I love you and I will talk to you soon.
