Transcripts

Sumantha:

In business, there are always more ideas than time. More things you could do, more offers you could create, more platforms you could show up on. The temptation is to try to nurture everything at once, but your attention is not infinite. When you spread it too thin, nothing gets the care it needs.

Sumantha:

This affects your energy, your mindset, and your motivation. Choosing what to nurture is one of the most important skills you can develop as a business owner. It requires restraint. It means saying no to good ideas so that great ones have the space to grow.

Sumantha:

That can feel uncomfortable, especially if you enjoy ideas and possibilities, which most business owners do. But focus is not about limiting yourself. Focus is about depth. When you choose fewer priorities, you can do them properly. You notice what is working, you refine, and you build momentum.

Sumantha:

Nurturing something does not mean working on it endlessly. It means giving it consistent and thoughtful attention over time. If everything feels like a priority, you cannot do that because you are spread too thin. So if things feel chaotic right now, pause for a moment.

Sumantha:

Ask yourself what actually deserves your energy based on your goals and the phase you are in. That is what needs to be prioritised. Everything else can wait. Pausing something does not mean it is forever. It just means not right now.
