Shownotes

Malaria causes more than 240 million infections each year in more than 80 countries - despite being preventable.

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates two million more cases of malaria globally in 2021 compared to 2020.  Climate change is also enabling the spread of mosquitoes that transmit malaria and other diseases, such as dengue and viral encephalitis, placing millions more at risk.

International SOS's Regional Medical Director for the Americas, Dr Daniel Slaim, and Regional Medical Director for Pacific, Australia and New Zealand, Dr Mark Parrish discuss the current situation, outlook on the future, and provide practical advice to reduce the risks to organisations and their people. One mosquito bite is all it takes.
