As a child growing up in Kazakhstan and Estonia, Yulia loved stories and traveling, yet in the United States she followed a traditional career path. She went to college here, joined the military, and worked her way up through graduate school, eventually landing prestigious jobs at major corporations. In corporate, Yulia often felt like she was living someone else’s life, not her own. So she decided to make a drastic change.

Today, Yulia is a published, award-winning travel photographer and writer on a mission to help others achieve their creative dreams as well. The Genius Womxn podcast was created because she believes that we all have voices that matter and that need to be shared with the world. In this episode, she introduces Genius Womxn, tells the story of the journey that led her to some remarkable assignments in Rwanda and Mongolia, and shows you how you too can start building a rich, meaningful, beautiful creative life.
