Shownotes

I'm in conversation with Adam Morgan, a clinical psychologist. Our focus is to share our mutual knowledge and skills about how to regulate emotions and why combined with how to find meaning.

Emotions and meaning are deeply connected which is why we are covering both subjects.

Key themes & learnings

Anxiety has an important role to play (it's not necessarily bad) - we need to understand when it's appropriate and when to regulate emotions.

Stress can be good for us - it can help us grow but distress is a problem so we need to distinguish between these types of stress.

Anxiety can alert us to look closer at our internal world and/or external world and make changes as appropriate.

Meaning - finding what we are competent at and what brings us joy. Do what you love.

Connectedness - with nature and people we care about.

Importance - everything will pass which is vital to remember

~~~
Adam has a not for profit organisation where you can access their BrainGym - a set of tools and processes go help you regulate emotions.
Real Life Psychology has plenty of resources you can access for free.
