Today's guest is Tamara Waters-Manville - HR & Talent Professional

Tamara (Tammy) has been in HR and Talent for nearly a decade. For the past one and a half years, she has been a Technical Sourcer at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, after seven years as a Manager of HR and Talent at Envision Education in Oakland.

As HR Manager for Envision Education, a small, service-driven network of low-income charter schools, it was necessary for Tammy to wear many HR hats from recruiting, to on-boarding, to rolling out new systems and complex compliance reporting.

While at CZI, Tammy gained experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization that was also mission driven and facing a period of high growth.

No matter where Tammy's been, she's dove deep into recruiting and talent acquisition, an area she loves. Both also reinforced her strength and interest in building systems and structures, working in teams, and creating an equity-focused culture.
