Shownotes
This is our post Christmas episode, recorded pre-Christmas. (1:04) We welcome CoreyGeek (Corey Toews) back to the show.
Having just finished our 300th episode, we provide a small recap of what happened last episode. (4:06)
(5:49)
Corey and Seanorama challenge FastFret to watch the first 10 minutes of Wolverine Origins. We get FastFret’s reaction to seeing it for the first time. And how does it relate to Frosty the Snowman? How many Sabretooth’s were in the X-men franchise? And how does FastFret predicts how the movie will end without having seen it?
(30:10) The X-Men films in the beginning were plagued with problems related to the studio and the movie landscape. As one of the first successful Marvel films, the productions were vastly different than we see on current Marvel fare.
(34:41) The Fantastic Four Films had a storied history on the screen, including one film that was never actually released. Why was the FF so hard to make? Money, rights, and lawyers. (44:08) And yes it relates to Taylor Swift.
(46:40) Is Ben Moss going out business? Businesses have out of business sales all the time but Corey’s favourite Shadowfax Books actually did. What happens to the old stock when a bookstore shuts down?
(50:31) Who is sharing Brian Pallister’s impassioned COVID speech around the world. Is there validity to his speech? Does Pallister care? What is the real story of the pandemic in Manitoba?
