Paul. Romans 13:8. Hi, it’s Nathan, and this is Day 7 of 30 Days of Growing. Debt. It’s a prisoner in which too many of us exist. Two of the biggest problems with debt: it weighs us down with obligation, literally pre-determining how we spend our time; and, it limits our ability to love others well. After all, if our time and energy are tied up trying not to get sucked under by a heavy chain of debt, we have no time or capacity to leverage our resources for the blessing of others. Part of personal life-change is looking for things that are tying us up in ways that restrict us from blessing others. Are there obligations that are keeping you from those you love? Keeping you from actively engaging your community or church in ministry? Is your life all tied up in various kinds of debts? Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
