Hey, y'all.

You're listening to another episode of the Spiritual Homegirl podcast where we better self in spirit and make peace with the day through wisdom, education and practical, easy to follow tips.

I am your host, Maria, your spiritual homegirl, who's also a mental professional.

And I wanted to check in with you all for the holidays.

I know most of the holiday season has passed except New Year's.

We are now on New Year's and today is Monday.

And I said, well, you know what?

I was taking some R R.

I needed to, I want to rest.

I haven't really rested like I would like to have done.

I've been kind of going, going, working, working.

I have not taken a break from the podcast in a while either.

So I'm noticing as the seasons change and as long as this happens, I wanted to kind of, you know, move along with the season, to take a little bit of a break as well.

And I may take more breaks throughout the winter season.

We'll see.

But as of right now, I am here with you all today.

And today's episode is going to be about the dangers of general collective readings.

And I was inspired by this by a couple of events, and one has gotten more serious.

And I said, yeah, I'm going talk about it.

So the thing about collective readings, right, let me be the first to say, I'm your spiritual homegirl, so obviously I know about that.

I, I understand readings.

I understand different forms of divination, bones, coconut shells, ancestor readings, tarot, astrology, numerology.

I, I get it.

Oracle cards, the whole nine pendulums.

I know about a lot of stuff, right?

I may not talk about it, but I'm familiar with a lot.

I have a lot of respect for what everybody believes in, whether I practice it or whether I don't.

However, the same way we talked about parasocial relationships earlier this year, I'm noticing that there is a dangerous yet fine line between needing guidance and feeding a delusion that could get you in trouble.

So for those who don't really know what collective astrology readings are, it's when a reader reads cards, tarot cards, and they usually will do it based on your astrology sign, some rising Venus, you know, and what they do is they have an account on social media and they will say, okay, this is for my, my Aries or my fire signs, and they'll do a tarot reading.

And then based on whatever the cards say, a lot of times people will go on what cards pop out versus what is actually shuffled and pulled, because usually if it pops out.

That means it's destined to be told or it's destined to be read.

So if it pops out, they will create the storyline based on what the cards are telling them.

So they will do that and tell a story.

Usually it's about love.

Usually it's about love, from what I noticed, and usually an ethical reader.

And most times I do see folks say, take what resonates, leave what doesn't.

Again, they'll say, take what resonates, leave what doesn't.

And the thing about it as well is that it's usually a segue into private reading.

So saying, hey, if you need a little more guidance, hit me up, you know, book on my site.

I'll never DM you for a reading and you can book with me.

We can get more clarity if this resonates with you.

The problem is that a lot of people, whether they don't have no money or whether they're satisfied with the general reading, they will not go deeper.

They will accept the collective reading as fact and they'll go on about their day or they will make actions based on the collective reading.

It starts to get a little dangerous because I understand, I respect people need guidance.

I totally get that.

I totally get that.

But when people are in denial of the facts and let a stranger with some cards tell them something that they don't even factually know what's going on, it can get people in trouble.

The reason why I'm saying that is because the situation at hand, let's just go, let's just get into it.

I'm not going to say any names.

I'm pretty sure if they're, they know who they are.

If they're, you know, paying attention enough, this person was doing general collective readings and was cross watching a person that they were interested in.

So for those who don't know, crosswatching is when you don't look at a collect astrology slash tarot reading for your card, I mean, for your sign, you look at it for a person you're interested in or a person that you knows sign.

So let's say, you know, if you're a Gemini and that person is a Scorpio, if you're gonna cross watch, you're gonna look at readings that talk about Scorpios, whether it's sun or if you know their chart, you know, you might look at whatever.

So let's say they were a Scorpio sun, Sagittarius rising, then you would look at Scorpio and Sagittarian readings.

If they are addressing sun moon rising signs.

So this person was cross watching another person's sign.

And this reader is a reader they do not know.

And apparently they have not done any type of readings with this person privately.

So they are now creating a narrative and instruction for their life based on them watching collective astrology readings for their sign and now watching cross watching the person that they're interested in signs.

The problem with this is that this, in the situation that's at hand, these folks are broken up and this is where the danger lies and this is where delusions can occur.

Because people say, oh, you should be delusional to a degree.

Not when it affects your legal standing in the system, not when it puts you on paperwork for the courts.

Because what these collective readings where folks are doing, because I'm not going to blame the readers, the readers are getting it off.

They're going to get it how they live.

They're going to save their cars, they're going to get their followers, they're going to get their clients.

That's what they're supposed to do.

It's us as the people that are consuming the type of content, because I'm never about what I say.

It's us that are paying attention to these things.

When we start lacking discernment and we really start getting delusional and it starts affecting like your legal standing, like, you know, in terms of your freedom here in this country, that's when you start questioning the mental stability of people.

Like, and this is not even about people having a diagnosis or not.

This is not where we're going to diagnose folks.

But it's about letting or wanting something so bad or falling following this spiritual thing so much that you forget that there's other parts of your being that needs tending to, your mental needs, tending to, your emotional needs, tending to.

Now, in all fairness, I understand why folks will seek the guidance of a collective reading because obviously there is some type of confirmation or guidance that they're needing mentally or emotionally, or they're needing some reassurance.

However, when it becomes an instruction for how you do your life, or you look at it as instructions on how to make decisions, or you're interacting with people only based on this and no other further individual deep, deep dive anything, or not even a prayer or meditation or just sitting still with it, or you're trying to make what you know doesn't resonate factually, you're trying to make it fit so you can get what you want, that's where we start having problems.

That's where the problems lie.

There is a stalker right now that's about to have a.

A temporary protective order served on them.

And I'm going to talk about it because it's by.

By time it's publishes, it's probably going to be served.

There's somebody that's about to get a TPO served on them because they don't know how to let go.

There is somebody that is literally in the situation.

And the reason why I'm talking to y'all about is because I need y'all to be careful whether you're on either side, whether you're the one cross watching and about to crash out, or whether you're a person who's dealing with somebody, who's crashing out because the situation is going as.

This person has dated this person.

This person does not want to be with them anymore.

They're heartbroken, but they're finding hope and solace in the collective readings, thinking that they're going to reunite.

And that person is now making decisions based on that.

And they are now doing things that a normal person wouldn't do.

They're popping up on people's houses.

They are saying that people are lying.

Like, the person is trying to tell them, I don't want you let go.

And the person is saying, that's not true.

And the reason why they're saying that's not true is because the cards and the collective readings that they're watching is giving them the confirmation, oh, they want you.

They coming back.

They coming back.

So even if a person is saying, hey, I don't want to be with you anymore, I'm done.

Please let me go.

That person is like, no, that's not true.

You're just confused right now.

The reading says you're confused.

You're obviously going through something right now.

And when you're ready to come back, I'm gonna be here.

So it's.

It's getting a little scary.

And obviously, when people start infringing on your personal space, at some point, you have to defend it.

And that could look like many different ways, right?

So to avoid people getting hurt, now there's paperwork that.

And this isn't.

This isn't involving me.

I'm just saying I got permission to talk about it.

And this is not a client story.

This is story of somebody that I know personally.

And they said, please talk about it, because they're going to get a temporary restraining order, and they're going to probably try to make it permanent.

But there's also other people who may not take that Role.

There may be folks that may take a violent role to defend themselves, and we just don't want that happening.

And everybody's safety is compromised when folks are not operating within reality.

I understand that.

The whole manifestation, and especially when it comes to love.

Manifest, manifest, manifest.

You know, keeping it to existence, you know?

You know, keeping here and twin flame, all this other stuff.

The problem with the twin flame is that to me, a twin flame gotta want to be a twin flame for it to be a twin flame.

You can't just make somebody who don't love you love you.

You know what I'm saying?

And you can't make somebody who didn't choose you choose you.

And that's just how the game go.

We can't make everybody that we like like us back, and that's okay.

The blessing in that is that we know that that person is not for us.

So we could move on and find somebody that loves us the way we deserve to be loved, or values us or treats us appropriately, but instead we don't want to do that.

We want what we want, and we want to.

We want them.

And even if they don't want us, we still want them.

Have another situation.

I think we talked about this before.

Another person where a guy had a stalker from cross country.

Chick flew out from California to meet up with him in.

In on the east coast and popped up on him at an event after.

He told her, like, hey, with all due respect, please leave me alone.

Please leave me alone.

But she got so delusional about the situation, she bought a whole plane ticket.

She left her child to go stalk this man and had to be escorted off the premises not once, but twice.

So I'm just saying, y'all, there's nothing wrong with having a desire in your heart and wanting things and yearning for love, but sometimes it could get you caught up in a system that spirituality ain't gonna be able to get you out of.

With all due respect, I know that everybody likes to talk about spiritual bypassing and oh, these things is spiritual law versus human law.

The gag is that nobody wants to talk about spiritual law and human law.

Even these laws, at times as unfair as they are playing a part in this.

I had.

So I told y'all about a situation where a chick was stealing from me.

She was stealing, you know, stuff that was proportional, proprietary to spiritual homegirl.

And she did a spell on her Instagram thinking that people wasn't gonna see that, because first off, I was gathering evidence to say that, you know, oh, well, if you have A court case with somebody do this spell.

And she put the names of people in some cow tongue and put it in the freezer.

Now grant that.

Don't shake me.

But I was like, oh, that's cute.

Okay, so you think your spiritual ancestors gonna help you steal, or you think your spiritual, your, your ancestors are going to help you do something in which you know that you're not operating within reality because reality is.

Even if we went from an energetic sense, that wasn't for you.

If it's really unique in us and it's given by to us by God for you to take that you stole regardless.

So she thought that I spiritually attacked her.

When it came out that her whole platforms got shut down with the things that she took from me, she said I attacked her burning candles and all.

Like, legit chick was burned.

Like people was like, you know, she's burning candles, right?

And I, and I look, they sent me the little screenshot because obviously, you know, I'm blocked.

And the screenshot, the screen grab was of a reversible candle.

First off, she had a colors wrong.

That's number one.

And then the candle was black.

Black is soot.

I'm talking about the glass on the candle was black as night.

And I said, this girl gonna hurt herself thinking that I hurt her.

All because she forgets that spiritual law and human law go together.

They operate together the same way spiritual and human experiences roll together.

You're not going to play with somebody and then try to reverse it, thinking they did something to you.

No, you did it to yourself.

You hurt yourself, you're about to reverse the stuff you try to put on other people to yourself.

You about to kill yourself, sis.

You might want to relax.

So I'm just saying, when it comes to situations like this, at some point we have to remember that as much as the spiritual operates in this world, we are very much human.

And when it comes to other human experiences, we cannot control folks.

And when we start thinking that we can, we've already messed up.

And not to mention, that's a dangerous game to play because once you start playing in the spiritual realm with other people's free will, you don't know what ancestors are stepping behind them.

You don't know what they practice.

You don't know what kind of protection work they did.

And people gonna get hurt because they doing stuff to other people, thinking that they have power over others or that they're going to be able to exert their will however they seem fit, as if others don't have free Will, that's where people mess up.

So now we have a situation where some papers about to get served because a person is doing entirely too much.

And they probably know what's coming because that person has asked them to stop contacting them.

And I just hate to see that people are going to get put in the system all because they can't just let go, and all because they don't know how to discern from collect in reality.

Like, it could be the reality for some folks, but people wanted to work so bad, they're willing to crash out and go to jail to make it work.

And I don't.

And no and no boo friend of mine is going outside like that.

I know people say, oh, that's judgmental.

Ah, so unfortunately, there are some forms of judgment that are necessary to keep you straight, to keep us focused, to keep us in tune with our purpose, our mission.

And going to jail because people can't let go, because they're letting collective astrology readings guide their life in a sense where they are forgetting their own facts and realities that these readers don't know about.

That's a dangerous game to play.

It's not worth the freedom, it's not worth the fines, it's not worth the stay 200ft away.

It's not worth that.

So I'm just saying please be very mindful of yourself and others because sometimes you might have a friend that might be too invested in those readings and you might have to kind of bring them back to reality.

They might get upset.

But instead of saying, hey, why do you listen to that stuff?

It's just more of, is it resonating or are you trying to make it fit?

Or is what you're planning to do going to jeopardize your freedom?

Is it jeopardizing consent from other people?

Because consent is a very important part of romance and love.

People got a consent to be with you.

People got to consent to want to see you.

People have to consent to want to be in contact with you.

And when you start playing with people's consent, that's when it gets dangerous.

Because if you don't respect consent, you're considered a predator or you're considered a threat.

And people will handle threats and predators however they see fit, whether it is spiritually, whether it is physically physically, whether it is legally, whether it's a combination of all three, whether they got family members that'll take the crash down, take the charge.

You just don't know what people are coming, you know what I'm saying?

You don't know how people are are moving.

So it's just not a good idea to play with folks in that way.

But I wanted to talk about that because, you know, we are coming up on a new year, Gregorian year, that is.

And we know that the Gregorian year is named for Pope Gregory.

It's not really a real cycle, so to speak, because a lot of the things in the the world that we have are man made, including this calendar because we had to fit Easter in.

And if you remember that episode that I did a couple years ago explaining that we went into that in great detail.

But if you do not know The Gregorian calendar, January 1 to December 31 was named for Pope Gregory.

So that is why we celebrate what we celebrate.

But I also wanted to check in with you too, about New Year's.

More likely I'll do an episode about that as well.

I'm really just into these.

I'm into the seasons.

I'm.

I'm loving what I'm seeing outside.

Bare trees, leaves on the ground, cold weather, rain.

I love it.

And as much as I don't like the cold, I love it from an energetic standpoint because I'm able to look and remember and tell you all as the homegirl who loves you and wants to see you in that it is okay to let go.

It is okay to shed what does not work.

It is okay to move forward.

From a renewed standpoint.

You might be more bare than expected.

You might be a person that is feeling a little isolated.

You might be a person that's feeling a little cold.

But at the end of the day, you have to do what is best for your safety and for your peace of mind and for what you want in life and where you want to go.

And unfortunately, everybody can't come.

All habits can't come.

All decision making processes cannot come.

So we'll go into that a little bit as the time goes on.

Right before the new year.
