Shownotes
Series 5 of The Leadership Tales podcast is here, and we’re starting off with an amazing and humbling episode!
Chris Wilson is a social entrepreneur who found his purpose after being sentenced to life in prison. While serving his sentence, Chris developed a plan to get his life on track and help others who needed it. He later told his story in his memoir “The Master Plan: My Journey From Life In Prison to a Life of Purpose,” which I highly recommend.
In this episode, Chris and I discuss his story, which is powerful, the prison system in the United States and the ethical concerns around the private prison industry. We also dive into his role as a social entrepreneur, how a judge taking a chance on him helped him live his master plan, and why providing education to the incarcerated is immensely important to their long-term growth.
