Unknown:

Hey, everyone, I'm Kelly Mobic, a coach and a

Unknown:

leadership trainer. And I'm super passionate about helping

Unknown:

you find out who you are authentically as a leader, own

Unknown:

it, and go out and make an impact in your life and the

Unknown:

lives of others. This world needs your leadership, your

Unknown:

gifts, your unique brilliance. And I believe that real leaders

Unknown:

don't wait. They create. I know firsthand that life is going to

Unknown:

throw us curveballs that we're going to doubt our greatness,

Unknown:

our ideas and our contributions. And my goal is that you believe

Unknown:

in yourself beyond reason. And I get to be a coach and a champion

Unknown:

for you each week, so that you feel inspired, motivated, and

Unknown:

most important in action towards your unique impact in this

Unknown:

world. So let's jump in. Hey there, everyone, it's Coach

Unknown:

Kelly, welcome to episode 152. Of let's be honest, before we

Unknown:

start pretending, how are you? How are you? Hey, I wanted to

Unknown:

drop in, I wanted to let you know that I am still recovering

Unknown:

from knee replacement surgery, things are going really, really

Unknown:

well. I cannot wait to update you. I'm going to do that on

Unknown:

next week's episode. PT. Hurts So Good. But it's so worth it.

Unknown:

And I'm looking forward to continued progress. And all that

Unknown:

next week, we're going to talk about work it because it works.

Unknown:

And the following week, we're going to talk about lessons,

Unknown:

lessons lessons. And in both episodes, I'll have some updates

Unknown:

for you guys. I am still recovering. So I thought I would

Unknown:

give myself an opportunity to have a break. And so I wanted to

Unknown:

revisit an episode that we ran about a year ago called seasons

Unknown:

of change, which I actually think goes really well with the

Unknown:

with the theme of transformation. I really, really

Unknown:

do because it talks about, you know, sometimes when things get

Unknown:

hard, and that can happen through transformation. It

Unknown:

certainly can. So I thought it was a really great episode to

Unknown:

revisit. How did you all love Elisa Ellis from last week

Unknown:

transforming your competence? We had such a great conversation.

Unknown:

And I know that there were so many juicy nuggets. So let me

Unknown:

know how do you how'd you love that episode. I also wanted to

Unknown:

remind y'all that starting this week is our take the lead in our

Unknown:

life workshops. There are three coming this week, March 22, our

Unknown:

first ones up against it and the three steps to shift your belief

Unknown:

and move to committed action. It just it goes hand in hand with

Unknown:

the episode that we're gonna visit today called Stages of

Unknown:

Change. Next week, March 29, we're going to have perfection

Unknown:

versus excellence as a leader, and ways to stay excellent, my

Unknown:

friends. And we'll wrap it up on April 5 With transformations and

Unknown:

the three essentials to help you stay the course. These are

Unknown:

awesome workshops. They're new, I have not offered them yet. But

Unknown:

we are now they are $17 ala carte, or you can purchase them

Unknown:

in a bundle for $41 and save 10 Hello, I love a good discount.

Unknown:

The workshops are going to be on Wednesday evening 6pm Pacific

Unknown:

Standard Time, they are one hour if you can't be there live, but

Unknown:

you were like oh my gosh, I really want in sign up for them

Unknown:

because you're gonna get the replays. All right. And one

Unknown:

final reminder before we proceed is that we have April 12, we are

Unknown:

opening another cohort in lift her. And I'll talk a little bit

Unknown:

more about that on next week's episode as well. But y'all know

Unknown:

that lift her is a 12 month group coaching program for women

Unknown:

who are really ready to kick it up a notch, take themselves to

Unknown:

the next level in creating the results they want. This is a

Unknown:

transformational program, we do a lot of focus on who you're

Unknown:

being. So that you take really great inspired action, the doing

Unknown:

part and you create the things that you truly want in your

Unknown:

life, whether it's personal or professional, you name it, you

Unknown:

get to have it. And it is so amazing. So that's starting

Unknown:

April 12. You can go to my website, there's a link in the

Unknown:

show notes so that you can read more about it and apply for the

Unknown:

program because we're rockin and rollin April 12 All right,

Unknown:

y'all, I'm gonna bid you adieu and let us proceed with Stages

Unknown:

of Change. Enjoy the episode and I will be back with you with a

Unknown:

brand new episode.

Unknown:

Next week. Everyone take care. Hey there everyone. This is

Unknown:

Coach Kelly and I want to welcome you to Episode Nine The

Unknown:

eight of let's be honest, before we start pretending, holy cow

Unknown:

98, two more episodes, and we are going to be celebrating the

Unknown:

100th episode. I am so excited about that i It's like one of

Unknown:

those things that I remember I get. I just remember the, you

Unknown:

know, we talked about I think it was last week we talked about,

Unknown:

are you committed to the idea? Or are you committed to the

Unknown:

thing. And so I've just been reflecting so much on that about

Unknown:

how long I was committed to an idea of a podcast. And then the

Unknown:

things that changed as I committed to the podcast, and

Unknown:

just so many amazing, amazing moments, were getting to hear

Unknown:

feedback from people and the impact that it has on their

Unknown:

life, which really is the whole entire purpose and reason for

Unknown:

having it. And you know, there are days where it feels like

Unknown:

it's a lot of work. But those days just don't matter after a

Unknown:

while when you start hearing about the impact that it's had.

Unknown:

And so I've been really blessed to be able to hear some of the

Unknown:

messages that some of you guys are sending in, that are really

Unknown:

sharing the impact that the podcast has had in your life.

Unknown:

And I am so incredibly grateful. And it really inspires me to

Unknown:

keep going and lock in to the purpose and why we do this and

Unknown:

and keep on creating some content for you guys. That's,

Unknown:

that's valuable and really real. So thank you, thank you. It's

Unknown:

not too late, there is still time, our 100th episode is

Unknown:

coming up in two more episodes. But if you want to leave a 92nd

Unknown:

or less message, the link is in the show notes, I would love to

Unknown:

hear you can give a shout out to a guest that's inspired you, you

Unknown:

could talk about something that you've taken the lead in your

Unknown:

life with whatever you want to you might just want to say hi,

Unknown:

and congratulations. That's okay, too. I am here for all of

Unknown:

it. And I would love for us to celebrate together. So shownotes

Unknown:

there's the link. Let's go be a guest Be my guest on the 100th

Unknown:

episode. I am so excited for it. So today, I wanted to talk about

Unknown:

something that is, you know, really, I think it's so

Unknown:

important in life. Because we all have our sort of down weeks

Unknown:

or sort of bad weeks are sort of uninspired weeks. And I think

Unknown:

oftentimes when that occurs, so much doubt starts kind of

Unknown:

creeping in the imposter starts creeping in. And we've talked

Unknown:

about that before on on some past episodes. And, you know, we

Unknown:

just have tough weeks. Or sometimes there may be something

Unknown:

that we know we've got to take on that is gonna really require

Unknown:

us to be vulnerable. And we're like, oh, and the doubter creeps

Unknown:

in and the imposter creeps in. And we're like, I just don't

Unknown:

even know. And maybe I'm just not going to do this at all.

Unknown:

Okay, maybe I'm not going to just do this at all. And so you

Unknown:

know, it's so funny. I was thinking about that in in the

Unknown:

business that I have. And I love it. I love my job. I think it is

Unknown:

literally like the best job on the planet. I will say it every

Unknown:

single day. I'm actually recording this the day after my

Unknown:

birthday. My birthday is March 1, and I worked that day. And

Unknown:

some people were like, Why are you working on your birthday,

Unknown:

let's do a spa day and I'm here for a spa day to do not get me

Unknown:

wrong, and I'm all about self care. And I you know, my

Unknown:

response. And I really mean this is I love my job, I really have

Unknown:

the best job I get to work with people that are so inspiring and

Unknown:

really taking things on in their life that they want to create.

Unknown:

And, you know, as I looked at my day, and who I was going to get

Unknown:

to be with I'm like, Ah, this is gonna be a great day. And you

Unknown:

know what it was, it was such a great day. So I have no idea why

Unknown:

I just went down that track. But there you go, that happens with

Unknown:

me sometimes. Okay, back to the thing, as I'm taking a look in

Unknown:

2022 on things that I want to accomplish, and I've got some

Unknown:

what I would call big, hairy, scary goals in front of me. It

Unknown:

feels like I'm climbing Mount Everest on a lot of different

Unknown:

days. And you know what, that's okay. That's okay. Because I've

Unknown:

got resources, I've got people that support me. I am capable,

Unknown:

all those things. But man, it is requiring me to go through some

Unknown:

seasons that feel tough seasons where I'm like, Oh, I don't know

Unknown:

if I'm enough to do this seasons where I'm like, Okay, I know

Unknown:

I've got to create like some more visibility so that more

Unknown:

people can learn about this work and can create the lives that

Unknown:

they want. And I'm here for all of that. That I'll tell you

Unknown:

there are some things that literally are it This may sound

Unknown:

silly to some people, and that's okay. I'm okay with that. But

Unknown:

there's just some things that I'm like, Ooh, I don't want to

Unknown:

do so like, I'm just gonna bring it down. One of the things is

Unknown:

that visibility, like getting out there, like I have a

Unknown:

podcast, and it is. So I'm going to say that it's easy for me to

Unknown:

hit record, and send my voice out into the world. Yes. And it

Unknown:

wasn't always easy. I remember when it launched, I was like,

Unknown:

what if they don't like it? What if nobody listens? What if done?

Unknown:

Right? Like, what if they like the judge? Right? It was all

Unknown:

that self doubt. All that self doubt that was creeping in. But

Unknown:

here's the other thing. You don't see me right? You don't

Unknown:

see me? i It's my voice. And yes, it's creating some

Unknown:

visibility, but there's not the like, there. You hear me? Okay.

Unknown:

So one of my challenges this year is is getting out there and

Unknown:

being more visible like I really have some big, really big sea

Unknown:

goals not to be confused with seagulls, the bird but seagulls

Unknown:

if you remember that, that episode, that are taking me way

Unknown:

outside my comfort zone. So it is going to require me to become

Unknown:

visible and like, show my face if you will. Now listen, I'm not

Unknown:

being hard on myself. I just that certain things like doing

Unknown:

reels on Instagram or going live on social media. I have no idea

Unknown:

why. But those are the things that I'm like, Lauren, I want to

Unknown:

do it today. Not today. Listen, I have I speak I also speak, in

Unknown:

my job, I speak for a living and, and I can do that. But for

Unknown:

some reason that one while sometimes it's uncomfortable,

Unknown:

for some reason that one, I feed off the energy of people. And so

Unknown:

like when we're live and in person, I just love it. And we

Unknown:

can engage and all that stuff. But I don't know why for some

Unknown:

reason doing like a real, or a live video or something where

Unknown:

I'm just No, I'm talking to, it's super uncomfortable. And I

Unknown:

just start making up all this stuff, or all make up like oh,

Unknown:

wait, I don't feel like having a day where I get all juiced up.

Unknown:

And my hair just looks perfect. And I put some makeup on and

Unknown:

this and that. I don't feel like it today. Okay, but who says

Unknown:

that you have to like all these conversations go around in my

Unknown:

head that just drive me nuts. Okay, just drive me nuts. Right.

Unknown:

And I'm sure people can relate to this, and turn it into

Unknown:

whatever big things you have in front of you. But I know one of

Unknown:

the things for me is visibility and getting out there. And

Unknown:

creating impact, you know, live and in person and all that which

Unknown:

honestly, I used to do before the pandemic all the time, but

Unknown:

some Boon changed. And it's become hard. So I'm committed to

Unknown:

moving it from that conversation that it's hard to, it's

Unknown:

uncomfortable. That's the gap I'm working on. Not hard, the

Unknown:

easy, just hard to it's uncomfortable. And I'm okay

Unknown:

being uncomfortable. And we're going to do the thing until then

Unknown:

it becomes easy, right? So that's what's up, or also just

Unknown:

having some seasons where things are just hard and you're working

Unknown:

so hard and you think you're going to accomplish something

Unknown:

and it doesn't happen. Does anyone relate? Like you've

Unknown:

worked so hard, you put blood sweat and tears into it your

Unknown:

whole soul your whole being? And then it's like, Nope, didn't

Unknown:

land. It didn't happen. It didn't work. It is a fail, epic

Unknown:

fail, right? And then we make up all this stuff about it. Okay,

Unknown:

fail, I don't even know. Like, it's only feedback. That's all

Unknown:

it is. And on that journey to success, we're going to have a

Unknown:

massive amount of failures that occur along the way. But we're

Unknown:

being human. And so we're letting them know. And it'll

Unknown:

stop is it'll stop us from moving forward, it'll stop us

Unknown:

from even going forward, even trying it on to see if it's

Unknown:

fits. Oh, I could go on and on. But this is gonna get

Unknown:

depressing. Okay. So I'll just say that recently, there have

Unknown:

been while there have been some amazing things that are

Unknown:

occurring, there's been this a little bit of a season of heart

Unknown:

or disappointment or some other things like that, that have been

Unknown:

twirling around in the background. And so it's

Unknown:

requiring me to get really vulnerable and really look and

Unknown:

see like, what is they're here for me to learn and be curious

Unknown:

about it. Now, I just want you to know, you can't go there

Unknown:

until you feel your fields. All right. So I want to be really,

Unknown:

really clear about that as you've got to feel those fields

Unknown:

and not stuffing them because if you stuffed them, it's gonna

Unknown:

weigh you down. But you got to feel the feels. You've got to

Unknown:

acknowledge what is absolutely true. And then you get to go and

Unknown:

get curious about it and look and see what is there here. For

Unknown:

me to learn, I'm curious, what is there here for me in the way

Unknown:

of being gratitude grateful in the way of being gratitude in

Unknown:

the way of being grateful? What is you know, what is this? And

Unknown:

so I think you guys have all heard me say this, I, it's

Unknown:

really challenging for me to stay in the hard seasons, I am

Unknown:

an overly optimistic person really positive, most of the

Unknown:

time, I'm a Pisces, we have two moods up, down, and I don't

Unknown:

really stay in the down mood very long. And sometimes I do,

Unknown:

okay, so the thing that I want you to know, is the key and the

Unknown:

access to moving through these seasons where either you're

Unknown:

going through a hard season, or you're not hitting the mark,

Unknown:

you're not creating those accomplishments that you want or

Unknown:

those achievements that you want. Or you know that there's

Unknown:

something in front of you that is really like, I don't want to

Unknown:

do it. I don't want to do it, but are no, I've got her right,

Unknown:

do you hear? I'm telling you, this is how the committee in my

Unknown:

head speaks to me. Just like that, just like the voice I'm

Unknown:

telling you, okay. The access to moving through those a hard

Unknown:

seasons and be

Unknown:

going from it's hard to I'm uncomfortable, and I'm going to

Unknown:

be okay, being uncomfortable, until all of a sudden, it's not

Unknown:

so hard anymore. It's even easy. Making closing those gaps just a

Unknown:

little bit at a time is going to require you to be vulnerable,

Unknown:

it's really gonna require you to be vulnerable. And most of the

Unknown:

time people think that vulnerability is a weakness, I

Unknown:

say no, no to that. No, I It's society has taught us that being

Unknown:

vulnerable means were weak, it is not, it is literally, in my

Unknown:

humble opinion, a world class value of being a leader in your

Unknown:

life, the ability to access your vulnerability, and I am going to

Unknown:

do an entire episode on that, because it's just so important.

Unknown:

Okay, when we are vulnerable, we are then now becoming authentic,

Unknown:

and transparent, and we're giving access to the real us.

Unknown:

And we're giving ourselves permission to be real, okay?

Unknown:

Now, if you're in a dark alley, and you're walking down, and

Unknown:

it's pitch dark, and you hear voices behind you, that's a

Unknown:

different kind of vulnerability. That's not what I'm talking

Unknown:

about here. It's I'm talking about it in a way where we get

Unknown:

to access it. So that episode is coming up very soon. And we're

Unknown:

going to take a deeper dive into it. And you can take some sort

Unknown:

of baby steps into that into being vulnerable by allowing

Unknown:

yourself to be in your feelings, and then allowing yourself to

Unknown:

get curious about it and what you can what you can learn. And

Unknown:

then allowing yourself to give yourself some self love to give

Unknown:

yourself some self love to affirm who you really be in this

Unknown:

world. And sometimes what you've got to go do is you've got to go

Unknown:

back and you've got to listen to feedback, you've got to go

Unknown:

listen to for those of you who are entrepreneurs, go look at

Unknown:

some of your testimonials from your clients. Okay, you got to

Unknown:

lean in to some of the people that are in your trusted circle

Unknown:

of support and just ask them, give me Tell me something good.

Unknown:

Tell me something good. Okay. And that's not comfortable all

Unknown:

the time. But we've got to be vulnerable and allow that in so

Unknown:

that we can create this access and this doorway to us self

Unknown:

loving. How about that. Because when we start to affirm that for

Unknown:

ourself, and I believe I also did an added an episode on

Unknown:

affirmations, I'll link that one in the show notes as well. It

Unknown:

will begin to lift us up, it will begin to allow us to move

Unknown:

from the hard season into the land of this is uncomfortable.

Unknown:

And I don't know what I don't know. But I'm so willing to find

Unknown:

out and keep moving forward, which will then allow us to move

Unknown:

into Oh, wow, I've I've suddenly I have figured some things out

Unknown:

have learned a few things. This has now become easier. Because

Unknown:

honestly, hard and easy are just conversations. That's what they

Unknown:

are. But we don't want to minimize that because sometimes

Unknown:

it's just hard. Or sometimes it's just easy. Okay. So

Unknown:

there's, there's, there's this pathway into it, if you will. So

Unknown:

let me just run through that one more time. When you're having a

Unknown:

hard season or when you're up against it. And you know, you've

Unknown:

got to take something on, it's just like, Whoa, we're out of

Unknown:

your comfort zone, fill your fields, feel them all. Feel

Unknown:

those fields, okay? They're important, do not stuffed them

Unknown:

because they will weigh you down. And we ain't fooling

Unknown:

anybody, especially ourselves. Okay, so you don't want to do

Unknown:

that. Right? Feel those fields and then and then when you're

Unknown:

ready, and you'll be ready sooner than later. When you're

Unknown:

ready, stop and get curious. What is there here for me to

Unknown:

learn? Get curious. It's a way of being that is magical. Okay,

Unknown:

what is there from need to learn that is going to open up some

Unknown:

possibilities for you and give you access to be able to let go

Unknown:

of doubt, let go of worry to get present again, to love yourself

Unknown:

so that you've got that ability to go ahead and love others. How

Unknown:

about that? It really does start with us. It's going to give you

Unknown:

that access to whatever is next for you. What's my next step?

Unknown:

Where am I going? Where am I being inspired again? Okay, so I

Unknown:

want to give you guys a challenge this week. I don't

Unknown:

know if there's anybody out there that's going through

Unknown:

that's listening, that's maybe having a hard season. Or maybe

Unknown:

like, I know, I gotta be taken on something new, but it seems

Unknown:

super uncomfortable. Okay, take this on, take this on, give

Unknown:

yourself permission. The challenge this week is to give

Unknown:

yourself permission to feel your fields. By the way, if you guys

Unknown:

everything is going like wooed rock solid A okay in your life,

Unknown:

you can still use this strategy, feel your feels? Then get

Unknown:

curious about them? What am I learning about this? What's the

Unknown:

possibility that's opening up? What are the affirmations that I

Unknown:

can affirm for myself? Where you know, what, what am I going to

Unknown:

put into place so that my way of being vulnerable is working for

Unknown:

me, in working for me and moving forward and removing that doubt

Unknown:

and removing that worry, staying present, and slaying those

Unknown:

goals? Okay, slaying those goals, you know, we like to slay

Unknown:

those goals. Okay. So that's your challenge. That's your

Unknown:

challenge. And like I said, it's not just for the people that are

Unknown:

like noses hard. This is I'm having a hard season. But my

Unknown:

heart is with you right now, because I've just been in a

Unknown:

little bit of a hard season. So my heart is with you right now.

Unknown:

And I'll probably talk more about that hard season a little

Unknown:

bit further when we get into vulnerability. And also, for

Unknown:

those of you that are like, I'm actually in this great season,

Unknown:

you can use this strategy, you can use this challenge, because

Unknown:

the point is not that we have achieved or not achieved. The

Unknown:

point is what am I learning along the way, because that, my

Unknown:

friends, is growth. And that's what we're here to do. So I

Unknown:

invite you into the challenge. Let's go, let's do it together.

Unknown:

Okay. Remember, you guys, we have a choice to lead our lives

Unknown:

or follow our circumstance. Life is about knowing your passions

Unknown:

and your purpose and your values, one being vulnerability,

Unknown:

and creating an impact in your life and the life of others. And

Unknown:

when we emerge from that we are people that are taking on the

Unknown:

taking the lead in our lives, we're authentic, we're

Unknown:

vulnerable, we're courageous, we are practicing self love sending

Unknown:

that love out into the world. I mean, how cool is that? We are

Unknown:

learning, we are growing and we are contributing to others. It's

Unknown:

not always going to look the way we think it's supposed to. And

Unknown:

we get to trust that more will be revealed as we move forward.

Unknown:

So you guys remember, take a pause, let go of worry, let go

Unknown:

of doubt. And let's live fully the best version of ourselves.

Unknown:

How about that? So you guys, thank you for listening today. I

Unknown:

trust there was great value for you. Any questions or anything

Unknown:

that you want to take on on this podcast? You know, that same

Unknown:

link in the show notes, where you can leave a 92nd message

Unknown:

about the 100th episode, you can also leave a question there, I

Unknown:

will take that on we'll do it together. I also want to let you

Unknown:

guys know that we have a great workshop that is free. That is

Unknown:

coming up on March 16, where we are going to do some goal

Unknown:

setting based on the lift method. And you can also hear

Unknown:

some more information about the lift her group coaching program

Unknown:
