Speaker:

Welcome to 12 Minute Converse with Jesus Believers.

Speaker:

God chose first to have a conversation with us, his creation.

Speaker:

Our prayer is that this listening space brings growth and transforms your life forever.

Speaker:

Praise God for you, Pastor Jacob.

Speaker:

It's a great pleasure to connect with you.

Speaker:

What part of the world are you in today?

Speaker:

I'm in Botswana.

Speaker:

Were you born and bred in Botswana?

Speaker:

No, I was born and bred in Zambia, but I came here for ministry in 2012.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

What type of ministry are you involved in?

Speaker:

When I came here, I was with my spiritual father, Bishop Ade Ajai.

Speaker:

May he rest in peace.

Speaker:

Unfortunately, after his passing on, I now started my own vision.

Speaker:

How has that been?

Speaker:

It has been so good because what made me to come here in Botswana was after having finished my international, my diploma in ministry in 2011, then I came here for attachments.

Speaker:

Then when I came for attachments, I was attached to the bishop's church, Bishop Ajai.

Speaker:

Then he took me as his spiritual son and he gave me one church where I was pastoring in the village.

Speaker:

How many people are there and what does the building look like?

Speaker:

Paint a picture for me, please.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

It was a church.

Speaker:

It was a small church.

Speaker:

I think when I went there, the church was, we were, they were about 12.

Speaker:

Then I pastored that church for seven months.

Speaker:

The church moved from 12 people to 102.

Speaker:

That's the way we saw the growth.

Speaker:

It is just as it was a small village of about 12,000 people.

Speaker:

What do you think is the reason for the growth of the church?

Speaker:

And the reason for the growth of the church with me, what I was doing during that time, I was involved in evangelism.

Speaker:

We could go too much to do evangelism one-on-one.

Speaker:

Sometimes we'll go house to house and sometimes we'll go street evangelism.

Speaker:

And then we started just seeing the exponential growth of that church.

Speaker:

Then also we were also involved in also outreaches.

Speaker:

We could also have crusades in different villages, which were around that village.

Speaker:

So that's why now we saw the growth just came in.

Speaker:

And by the grace of God, we saw the exponential growth.

Speaker:

How did you come to meet Jesus?

Speaker:

My mom, my late mother used to take us for Sunday school.

Speaker:

So now from there, I was now led into Jesus Christ.

Speaker:

I was born again.

Speaker:

I received him as my personal savior.

Speaker:

And since then I've been working with Jesus.

Speaker:

I got born again when I was just a child.

Speaker:

Are you married?

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

I'm a man with a family of three kids, but the first born is Samuel.

Speaker:

He's nine years.

Speaker:

Then the second born is Sakaina.

Speaker:

She is seven years.

Speaker:

Then we have Sunshine, who is two years.

Speaker:

Congratulations.

Speaker:

Thank you.

Speaker:

Thank you.

Speaker:

What is on the horizon for you?

Speaker:

What do you see possible in the future?

Speaker:

What I see in the future is that my ministry will go worldwide where we will preach Jesus in all the cities.

Speaker:

Though we started it in Botswana, my vision is to have a church that will go worldwide where we can preach Jesus in every city, every village, and every town.

Speaker:

One of the things that you mentioned is that impactful conversations are important to you.

Speaker:

How do you have those conversations?

Speaker:

What do they look like?

Speaker:

And is food involved?

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

Usually with me, God has given me strength in having seminars.

Speaker:

I do seminars on marriage.

Speaker:

I also do seminars on wealth creation.

Speaker:

So during that, apart from that also, God has given me the grace to write books.

Speaker:

Though the book ministry hasn't been moving accordingly to the plans that God has put upon because I've seen a bit of delay in terms of the execution of the book ministry.

Speaker:

So the book ministry, we can say for now, it hasn't been like moving maybe faster where we have books sold.

Speaker:

We can say maybe we have a lot of copies sold.

Speaker:

We haven't sold many books.

Speaker:

We have sold just a few books from the books that I've written.

Speaker:

Tell me about marriage.

Speaker:

I'd like to know how you prep or how you teach on marriage.

Speaker:

What scripture specifically are you using for those conversations?

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

There are some scriptures that I follow because the Bible tells us to say that two are better than one.

Speaker:

So usually that is from the book of Ecclesiastes.

Speaker:

Then we see the Bible tells us to say that what God has put together, let no man put asunder.

Speaker:

So when I put some verses, I connect to say that marriage is not supposed to be, it's not a contract, it's a covenant between a man and a woman.

Speaker:

Because we see nowadays in this world we are living in where people have different type of marriages, which are abomination to what God has put in line.

Speaker:

God wants a man and a man to be together, not a man and another man.

Speaker:

God wants a man and a woman to be together.

Speaker:

So my focus usually, we focus on teaching on how to, a man and a woman should stay in their marriage.

Speaker:

If you're listening to this conversation five years from today and you hear the evolution of Jacob, the young man who decided to follow God, who has a family of three, who is also continuing to write books and preach the word, what's a message you'd leave for future you listening to this?

Speaker:

Yeah, in future, one thing I would do is that I will first appreciate you.

Speaker:

I will say that, I will refer people to say that there was an interview I had with the man of God from Trinidad, and I wanted to go back to that video and listen to it.

Speaker:

That very conversation changed my life and shaped my destiny.

Speaker:

That's what I would tell people in future, in the near future to come.

Speaker:

I appreciate you tremendously.

Speaker:

Hey Pastor Jacob, this was a great pleasure.

Speaker:

Before we leave, is there anything else you'd like to share with our amazing audience?

Speaker:

Okay, one thing I would like to share with people is that what you are doing has really touched me.

Speaker:

I'm really humbled that you made this, you made your time just to interview me and talk to me concerning my calling and concerning what God is doing in my life.

Speaker:

For my listeners, please follow, may they follow your page and subscribe if you have a YouTube channel.

Speaker:

That would be a blessing to me.

Speaker:

Pastor Jacob, I appreciate your heart.

Speaker:

I appreciate your kindness.

Speaker:

I pray that God continues to bless your ministry and that the continuity of your growth is something that is steady and something that impacts just the way you love impactful conversation.

Speaker:

This has been a great pleasure, what I treasure.

Speaker:

Thank you for being what is inspired by 12-Minute Chronicles.
