These two cousins, Rose Buado and Jennifer Redondo-Marquez, were born and raised in the United States (U.S.). Their parents left the Philippines to start a better life for themselves and their families. Like many Asian families, Filipino culture focuses on stability and many pursue “proven paths” like medicine, engineering, and the military. Rose and Jennifer embarked on the In Her Purpose project to advocate for women, to feed and fuel the future generation, and to spread love! With their first co-authored book, In Her Purpose: 40 Principles of Asian Women Redefining Success on Their Own Terms, they hope to inspire readers to discover their purpose, amplify their voice and share their true gifts with the world.
