Benjamin Moore’s Color of the Year for 2023 is a red orange called Raspberry Blush. What do you think of the choice? I’m Dan Hansen and this is a minute at RepcoLite.

Now, some of you have no idea about the color of the year and you just don’t care. Others are hating on it. And of course, others are saying it’s the best choice in years.

But if you’re one of the people who HATE the color or, if you’re one of the people who don’t care at all . . . there’s still something really important to take from Benjamin Moore’s choice.

On their website, Benjamin Moore mentions that bold tones were chosen to underscore the dynamic role color plays in self-expression. Now, whether they chose well or poorly doesn’t really matter. The money line is the true statement that color plays a dynamic role in self-expression. And to me, that’s the greatest value of this palette–not so much the talk about the role color plays . . . but more importantly, to remind us that interior design should be a form of self-expression. Is it for you? We’ll talk about that a bit more tomorrow. I’m Dan Hansen and that’s a Minute at Repcolite.
