Its annoying when the government asks us to do things we don’t like. This is especially the case during the lockdown - and especially when we don’t think what they are asking is that smart - or consistent with what they have asked elsewhere. And then of course there is our rights to x and y! And yet it's important for us to remember that for us to live together we need to accept to be asked to do things we don’t want to do, some of which may also be mistaken. That is how a society works: otherwise there is no society. As Christians, people of communion, we should understand this well! And its what Jesus asks us today: sure, give to God what is God’s. But also: give to Caesar what is Caesar's.
