Summary:
It's God's nature to forgive. When God forgives it's a total thing. He not only forgives us but He forgets the offensive as if it never happened. As we try to forgive others, we find we cannot forgive and forget to the depth that He is requiring. He gave His only begotten Son as the path of forgiveness for us. This all is in the design of God to drive us into Him to appropriate His nature.
Show Notes:
We are to forgive each other as God forgave us. To do this we must appropriate His very nature.
There must be a willingness in our hearts to take on His nature as we lay down our lives.
We should be looking for the fruit of the divine nature in us.
This should create a cry in our hearts that says like David; “Create a clean Heart in me O God.”
Forgiveness drives you into the place of humility.
This is a way of life that God imparts His nature to you.
We must reach into God's nature which is perfection.
Quotes:
It is the very nature of God to forgive, it's His nature.
He wants us to reach out for a revelation that we can receive His nature.
Forgiving is not as difficult as forgetting. And yet, I'm wondering if forgetting isn't apart of forgiving. You can't really totally forgive, until you have forgotten. It takes an impartation from the Father.
Are we willing to put it on? Are we willing to lay down our lives and take it up again, that He offers us.
...are you willing to forgive those so that you can love them? So you can minister to them?
I'm looking for the fruit of the divine nature in me.
Think about those people you forgiven. Are you one with them? Are you really able to literally melt into that person with no walls? That's what I'm looking for.
It takes a death of our old nature, and the appropriation of His nature; where you open your heart and say, “create in me Father, a clean heart.”
"Be perfect, as your Father in heaven is perfect." Now, what does that actually mean? To me, it means God's opened a door for us to reach into that perfection, otherwise, that scripture wouldn't be there.
That's exactly what God wants. He wants us to be exactly like the Lord Jesus. To be perfect, before Him

Psalm 51:10-12

Matthew 5:48
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Take Away:
God will forgive us as we forgive others. The depth of this is beyond what we can do in our human nature, but He has given us a provision through His Word that we can appropriate His very nature so that we can be perfect as our Heavenly Father is perfect.

It is the very nature of God to forgive, it's His nature. Whatever extent you forgive others, I'll forgive you. Forgiveness and forgetting where you've totally forgotten the offensive as if it never happened, because that's the way we want to be forgiven right? By God, when we stand before the Lord, we, we don't want Him to go, Yeah, I forgave you, but I do remember. And that's exactly what He expects of us. To do that we can't. All this is to drive us into Him to receive His nature. Somebody comes up to you and says, Oh, yeah, I did this, would you please forgive me? And it's just so, it's just this very passive thing. And yes, I forgive you. That's not forgiveness. I mean, God put a lot of effort forgiving us.
Dale
We have to recognize what God gave. He gave His only begotten Son, as the path of forgiveness for us. We're all parents, we're all have brothers and sisters, we have mothers and fathers in here. Our Father who art in heaven, gave His ultimate sacrifices so that we could have a path of forgiveness.
Ron
And He did that after:Ken
It's not just that God wants us to forgive. He wants us to reach out for a revelation that we can receive His nature. You know, all the fruits of the Spirit are a part of His nature, I think it's really important to see that forgiveness is just one of the steps. But it opens the door for us to reach into other aspects of who He is.

Forgiving is not as difficult as forgetting. And yet, I'm wondering if forgetting isn't part of forgiving. You can't really totally forgive until you've forgotten. It takes an impartation from the Father, to us.
Dale
What you're saying, Deb is important, because we've got to realize where we put those memories, it's stored away in your human nature. We also have the promise that we can have the mind of the Lord. It's an impartation. I always like to joke about it, I'd say, Lord, I'll trade your mind for Your's. Appropriate it. Are we willing to put it on? Are we willing to lay down our lives and take it up again, that He offers us. The drive there, and what I noticed in my own heart is, I love Him so much. And I come to realize how much He loves me. And I don't want to have anything that keeps that love from not being everything it should be.
Debbie
The forgiveness is similar to that, in the sense that, are you willing to forgive those so that you can love them? So you can minister to them?
Ron
I'm looking for the fruit of the divine nature in me. And I believe that when that fruit comes, it's not going to be some wish-y washy thing it's going I'm going to know, that I know, that I know. That was His nature, expressing itself through me. I think a lot of times what people finally end up with is they come to the place and go, Well, I'm going to forgive you. But it doesn't really go away. And that's the sign or the symbol that you haven't really forgiven. Think about those people you forgiven. Are you one with them? Are you really able to literally melt into that person with no walls? That's what I'm looking for. No one can talk you out of that. It's not a doctrine, I think it has to be a way of life that God is literally imparted His nature to you. We can't forgive without His forgiveness. I think we're supposed to be driven into Him for everything. And then we're just picking one topic forgiveness, but you name a topic and we can't produce any of it.
Dale
There is a place that it drives you to a humility, forgiveness. I studied the psalms for a long time. And I walked away with Psalm 51. When I cry out to God, God create me a clean heart. He is very faithful, when you open your heart to Him, and like you say, with honesty and integrity, create in me a clean heart, O God. Does God forgive us? Yeah. He forgives us to the point where He forgets and eliminates it from His heart. God create me a clean heart. That's not a theory. That's a reality. It takes a death of our old nature, and the appropriation of His nature where you open your heart and say, “create in me Father, a clean heart.”
Ron
This is something that you ask and keep asking. You knock and you keep knocking.
Ken
I think the encouragement here is in Ephesians. The latter part of that chapter four, where it says, "Be perfect, as your Father in heaven is perfect." Now, what does that actually mean? To me, it means God's opened a door for us to reach into that perfection, otherwise, that scripture wouldn't be there. It wouldn't be available. But it is available. And I think we need to have that drive. And I think we're going to find that in, in what we're looking at right now, in reaching in to this place of being able to forgive and forget; God says that He takes our sins and cast them into the sea of His forgetfulness. Okay. That's what He does. What does that mean to us? Doesn't that mean, it's available for us? He wants us to be just like He is with the same nature. That's His drive for us. He created Adam and Eve to be exactly what He wanted. He wanted to bring them forth in the knowledge and all the impartation of who He was, and He didn't have that opportunity. He has that opportunity with us. I've heard too many Christians say I'll never be perfect like Jesus was perfect. That's exactly what God wants. He wants us to be exactly like the Lord Jesus. To be perfect, before Him.
