Evil is an entity that is typically only discussed in our culture in the context of horror movies and fantasy novels. We fail to see the reality of evil in the struggles, habits and interactions we participate in every day. Paul sees evil as an aggressive force, a personal tormentor, that requires a strength that is beyond our own. Paul tells us we need armor to withstand “the schemes of the devil.” Ephesians 6:10-20 is Paul’s directive to withstand evil.
