Geologists are great data gatherers but are they great data managers? The GIM Channel speaks with Paul Murtagh, an experienced exploration geologist, who previously worked on part of a standardisation initiative at Anglo American. This gave him the opportunity to take a closer look at how geoscientific information was being managed across seven mine sites in Australia and Canada. Paul discusses the importance of data management and how innovations have created improvements, cost efficiencies and better workflows in resources operations.
