Shownotes

NBA Draft Historian and Analyst Matthew Maurer is the creator of the online basketball draft history database, TheDraftReview.com. Its purpose is to curate, preserve and memorialize the history of the NBA Draft -- its teams, players, and the stories surrounding the draft’s historical events. The site was created out of a need to ensure the rich but neglected history of the NBA Draft is thoroughly and accurately recorded.

In his dual role as a draft analyst, Maurer specializes in the evaluation of NBA pro prospects, critically assessing and providing recommendations on the draft stock of a wide range of players each season. Maurer was formerly the Senior Scout for NBADraft.net and, at present, continues to provide insightful draft takes featured in publications including CBS Sports, Eurobasket, Vice Sports, NBA.com, ESPN. He is frequently featured on sports radio throughout the country and serves on the executive board of the Association for Professional Basketball Research.
