[0:00] Hello, this is Sky. I'll be here with you until sleep. You don't need to listen closely. You can drift off whenever you like. There's nothing to get right tonight. For now, just let yourself be held by the sound of my voice.
[0:40] Let's begin. Tonight, we can take our time. There's no need to rush toward sleep. And sometimes rest comes more easily when we stop watching the clock. For those of you who like returning to the same place at night, there's a membership with ad-free listening and a few longer episodes to rest with. It's there if and when you want it. [1:47] For now, this is simply a small pocket of quiet, a place where nothing is expected from you. You can let your attention drift in and out as you listen. Or you might not listen at all. Both are perfectly welcome. Everything here is an invitation.
[2:35] I invite you to settle in. Inviting you to settle in and if it feels right and if you're not already doing it, closing your eyes allowing your body to become heavy to sink into the bed, the mattress, the cushions, the pillows, wherever you are just now.
[3:32] Allowing your body to come to rest. Allowing your head to feel heavy. Your shoulders. Your back. Upper back. Mid-back. Lower back. Arms, elbows, wrist, hands, all becoming heavy, releasing into the bed, releasing into this moment down into the pelvis upper legs knees lower legs ankles feet.
[4:55] Sinking into the bed, the mattress, or wherever you are just now. Down the front of the body, face, chest, hands, abdomen, all sinking in. It doesn't matter which position you're lying in, just noticing all those parts of you sinking into the mattress, the cushions, the chair.
[5:59] Or wherever you are, front of the pelvis, the upper legs, knees.
[6:13] Lower legs.
[6:16] Ankles, and feet, taking their time, allowing themselves to be here just as they are. No pressure, no worries, no forcing. There's no right or wrong here. There's nothing else you need to do, and no one else you need to be but here and now in this place, just sensing, the tiniest bit more Sensing your way into peace, into ease, into this moment.
[7:38] This moment where you are held alive.
[7:49] Where you're supported, cared for. Just listening to the sound of my voice. Your gentle sleep companion. Here to keep you company. While you ease yourself into sleep. And if there's anything from the day still wandering around in your mind or in your body, I invite you to gently put it aside for now.
[8:56] And allow yourself to just be, just be, becoming more at ease and peace. Coming into this space of gentleness of now-ness of presence welcoming you into this space, just as you are. If it feels right noticing what else, might need to be known or acknowledged.
