In 1924, St. Louis Cardinal Jim Bottomley drove in 12 runs, topping Wilbert Robinson’s previous record of 11 RBI.

In 1975, Pittsburgh’s Rennie Stennett collected 7 hits in a 22-0 win over Chicago.

in 1989, Notre Dame's Raghib ‘Rocket’ Ismail ran back 2 kickoffs for TDs against Michigan. He is the only college player to run back 2 kickoffs for scores in two different games.

In 1869, Young Tom Morris aced the 166 yard par 3 8th hole at Prestwick Golf Club in route to winning the Open Championship. It was the first recorded ace in the Open.
