A Wise Government – Wisdom Unplugged

Thank you for joining us for our 5 days per week wisdom and legacy building podcast. This is day 502 of our trek, and it is Thursday and time for our 3-minute mini-trek called Wisdom Unplugged. This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little additional content for today’s trek. Consider this your vitamin supplement of wisdom each Tuesday and Thursday. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget.

Today’s quote comes from Tao To Ching, which says, “If a country is governed wisely…people enjoy their food, take pleasure in being with their families, invest weekends working in their gardens, and delight in the doings of the neighborhood.”government-is-wisdomA government that is built on wisdom and integrity will provide a societal structure that is peaceful and allows for personal freedom for its people. When people are able to live in peace and have an opportunity for economic expansion, the outcome will be beneficial to the government overall. The people will then have adequate resources to take care of themselves, purchase food and other necessities, take care of their families, work hard, and take care of their personal properties as well as community property.

When the governmental environment is structured to allow people to flourish, most will thrive, work at self-improvement, and provide overall stability of the nation.  Regardless of the government structure that you may live under, if you are a Christ follower, you have a higher calling yet as Titus 3:1-2 tells us, “Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good. They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone.”gods-governmentThat’s a wrap for today’s Wisdom Unplugged quote.
