I've typically had an on again, off again relationship with my Father. It's not easy and sometimes I feel like a real asshole because I don't' have a great relationship with him. Then I realized, it takes two to show up in the arena to play the Father/Son game and I can only be responsible for how I show up and face my Daddy issues. I've chosen at this stage of life not to show up - for many reasons - but I'm also keenly aware that I am letting my Daddy issues go without guilt or shame.
As the Holidays are upon us, I thought I'd share my tools for dealing with my Daddy issues, even at age 56 in the hopes that this will help another man struggling with his own Daddy issues.
