Shownotes

In this inaugural episode of Finally Feeling: You Are Not the System, Kathy Baldwin introduces the evolution from Unlearn the Crap to Finally Feeling and explains why the podcast had to be rebuilt around better business architecture.

Unlearn the Crap was gaining traction and helping people, but it was built on outside distribution, a radio-style sponsorship model, and infrastructure that was not connected to Kathy’s business ecosystem.

That experience exposed a larger truth: a podcast can have visibility, content, and audience engagement and still fail as a business asset if it is not connected to ownership, buyer journey, offers, data, and operational infrastructure.

Finally Feeling is built differently. This podcast is part of the You Are Not the System methodology and explores founder dependency, business bottlenecks, systems, automation, AI, and the work of extracting founder intelligence into business infrastructure.

Kathy helps founder-led businesses identify where the business still depends too heavily on the founder’s memory, judgment, emotional labor, and constant intervention.

Welcome to the Finally Feeling podcast where you are not the system. I am your host, Kathy Baldwin, and I'm a business infrastructure architect, the founder of the methodology. You are not the system, which has a book and course. And it's all built on how I help founder led businesses, just like you, extract the intelligence from you and your business and put it into sustainable foundational systems so that you are not the bottleneck, friction and gaps in your own business and your business is not dependent upon you. For those of you who know me, you know that podcasting is not new to me. Even though this is the inaugural episode of the Finally Feeling podcast. I had built a podcast based on my previous trilogy of books, Unlearn the Crap. And that whole methodology was about conditioned responses and automatic programming, how we are all interconnected, interrelated systems, and that we are an ecosystem living within an ecosystem. I loved that podcast and I loved everything that it did and what it brought. But I had to retire that podcast. And the reason was that that podcast was built with an outside company. It wasn't built on my own foundation. And so what that did was not only hand control of of the distribution and the business behind the podcast to another company, which is something that I am vehemently opposed to, but I put the control of my business in someone else's hands. That podcast was about the audience, about delivering content, about everything that I felt and believed in. And this is one of the main issues that I see is in so many founder led businesses is that we lead with huge hearts and big missions and we have so much knowledge that we want to give, but we're not building the podcast into the business structure. And so when I realized that my business was not connected to my podcast, I knew I had to retire and start again. And so this is the inaugural episode of the Finally Feeling podcast. Let me explain about where everything came from. Finally is that feeling that you get when you say the word finally, finally. And that is what I believe business needs to be about. And when we extract the knowledge and the expertise and the intelligence from founders and build it into the systems and the infrastructure of the entire business, then not only does the founder get the final feeling, but so do their clients and the rest of the team that is involved in the business, because it's not all being carried on the shoulders of the founder. And so this podcast, while it is still me, it's still built on everything I believe about infrastructure and ecosystems and foundation today. And in this podcast, I'm going to be focusing in on how we can utilize the best of what is available in corporations, in our technology and bring it into founder led businesses. Because I believe that there is a massive transition that is happening in this world and we can all see and feel it. We can see the changes that are happening in our geopolitical, our financial, our education, our medical, our corporations. Everything is changing and that is leaving huge gaps, frictions and bottlenecks. But it also is creating enormous opportunity. And here on this podcast you're going to hear from me. You're going to hear about systems automation tools, but you're going to hear mainly about the founder led business and how to extract it and the things that will actually make a difference and take the load off so that we can all be successful together. But I'm also going to bring in guests who exemplify what the Finally Feeling looks like in action. And so you're going to see and hear from businesses that have put together systems and automation, but they are able to deliver that finally feeling to every aspect of their business, their clients, their team, and most of all to themselves. Because a business should be a foundational support, it should be a entity onto itself. It should be self supporting and not a parasite on the founder's energy and resources. So why I've changed this format and come into finally you are not the System is about my belief that together we can take the best of you and build it into something sustainable. A strong ecosystem that lives beyond you and provides enormous resources and what our current society and our future world needs. What the Finally Feeling podcast is going to do is I want to be able to demonstrate, discuss, share how you can take your voice and build it into your own business. So what I would love for you to do is engage with me, share your stories, become a guest on the podcast. I want you to ask questions that we can bring and I can answer. Here on the show. I'm going to be having all sorts of different timelines so that not every episode is going to be a certain length. We're going to have short ones, we're going to have medium and we're going to have long form interviews that will demonstrate what the final feeling is. But more than that, I want to invite you into my world. I want to be able to help you diagnose your own friction points, your gaps, your bottlenecks where your business is not fully support you. Whether you come into my world as a reader of my book, you are not the System, part of my courses that are coming out, or you and I get together and we do a diagnostic of your business so that you can extract your knowledge and become the incredible success that you belong. I want to know what it is that you want to talk about and think about. I want to bring to you everything I'm learning because AI and technology is changing so incredibly fast. And so while I am in constant learner mode and I bring that knowledge to my clients, I'm going to bring it here to you as well. Every time I learn something, every time I find something of value, I will bring it to you. But I want to caution you that there is a huge difference between a tool like AI, CRM or anything else. There is a huge difference between what is a tool and systematizing each of your processes and then thriving ecosystem. And that is what I find is happening right here, right now, is that so many people are focusing in on the processes or the tools, but they're not creating an integrated ecosystem. And I am seeing so many ways that this is showing up in our world and I want to make sure that you don't get bottlenecked down by all of this. Welcome to the Finally Feeling podcast. I am Kathy Baldwin and I am so excited to be your host on this incredible conversation that we are. Come find me at Finally Feeling. Come find me@finallybusiness system.com or on my own personal website, KathyBaldwin Me. I'm here to support you and I'm here to grow with you.
