Speaker:

What if I told you there's a path many are unknowingly walking, one that leads straight to

destruction?

2

:

The Bible calls them the sons of disobedience, but here's the scary part.

3

:

It's not just about what they're doing, but where it's leading.

4

:

Are you on that path without even knowing it?

5

:

In this video, we're diving deep into what this means and you might be surprised by what

you learn.

6

:

others experience His truth in a powerful and authentic way.

10

:

If you're ready to grow in your faith, you just happen to be in the right place.

11

:

Alright, let's dive in.

12

:

In several places throughout the scriptures, we encounter the term son of disobedience.

13

:

This phrase refers to those who actively walk in rebellion against God, choosing to live

in ways that defy his commands and his desires.

14

:

While it may seem like some people are born in disobedience,

15

:

The Biblical narrative reveals a deeper truth.

16

:

God does not create anyone to be disobedient.

17

:

Instead, he calls all to righteousness, but those who reject his ways choose a path of

rebellion.

18

:

Let's explore the meaning of sons of disobedience and the revelation that God, though

sovereign, has never predestined anyone for disobedience.

19

:

Rather, he has prepared a path of redemption

20

:

for all who would turn to him.

21

:

Let's discuss 5 talking points surrounding this subject.

22

:

Point number 1.

23

:

Who are the sons of disobedience?

24

:

The term sons of disobedience appears most notably in Paul's letters to the Ephesians and

the Colossians.

25

:

Ephesians chapter 2, 1 and 2 says, you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you

once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the

26

:

air.

27

:

the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience.

28

:

Colossians 3 verse 6 echoes this.

29

:

When a count of these, the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.

30

:

In both passages, the sons of disobedience refers to individuals who are under the

influence of sin and the spiritual forces of darkness deliberately choosing to walk

31

:

contrary to God's will.

32

:

This disobedience is not a random act but a pattern of living.

33

:

Living in opposition to the divine order that God has established.

34

:

These people described as the sons of disobedience are not inherently evil by creation.

35

:

They are not born with a destiny of disobedience nor does God make them this way.

36

:

Rather, through their decisions in alignment with the prince of the power of air, is

Satan,

37

:

they become marked by a rebellious spirit.

38

:

point number two, God does not create anyone for disobedience.

39

:

This is a key revelation in scripture that God does not create anyone for disobedience.

40

:

He does not predestine people to live in sin or rebel against him.

41

:

In fact, first Timothy chapter two, verse four tells us that God desires all people to be

saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

42

:

This clearly shows that God's intentions for every human being is to experience salvation

and to live in righteousness.

43

:

Disobedience is not part of God's design for humanity.

44

:

However, scripture also reveals that God allows individuals the freedom to choose their

own path.

45

:

Deuteronomy 30 verse 19 captures this truth.

46

:

This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you.

47

:

that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses.

48

:

Now choose life so that you and your children may live.

49

:

The choice between life which is obedience to God and death which is disobedience to God

is laid before everyone.

50

:

God doesn't create anyone with a default setting of rebellion, but He does allow

individuals to choose knowing that some will tragically choose disobedience.

51

:

Talking point number three, a predestined path for the disobedient.

52

:

While God does not predestine anyone to sin, he has in his sovereignty foreseen the

choices that people will make.

53

:

He has not only created a path for the righteous, but has also ordained a path for those

who choose to live in disobedience.

54

:

This predestined path is not a path for condemnation that is forced upon them.

55

:

It is the inevitable outcome of rebellion against God's ways.

56

:

Romans 1 verse 28 explains that for those who persist in rejecting God, God gave them over

to a depraved mind so that they do what ought not be done.

57

:

When people continuously choose sin, God, in His justice, allows them to walk further into

the consequences of their decisions.

58

:

They are not forced onto this path but are permitted to continue walking in disobedience

as a result of their rejection of His truth.

59

:

Ephesians 5 verse 6 further warns, Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of

these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

60

:

This wrath is not arbitrary.

61

:

It is the just consequences of persistent rejection of God's grace.

62

:

God's holiness and justice require that sin be addressed, but even so, his desire is that

people turn from disobedience and live for him.

63

:

Talking point number four, God's heart for the disobedient.

64

:

Even though there is a predestined path for those who walk in disobedience, God's heart

remains steadfast in his desire for all to be saved.

65

:

The story of redemption is always open for anyone

66

:

who would turn from their sin.

67

:

Ezekiel 33 verse 11 reveals God's compassionate nature.

68

:

As surely as I live declares the sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the

wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live.

69

:

Turn!

70

:

Turn from your evil ways.

71

:

The sons of disobedience, though choosing to walk in rebellion, are not beyond the reach

of God's mercy.

72

:

The gospel offers hope for everyone no matter how far they have strayed.

73

:

Romans 5 verse 8 tells us that God demonstrates his own love for us in this.

74

:

While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

75

:

Even those who have lived as sons of disobedience are invited to turn back to God and

receive forgiveness and restoration through Jesus Christ.

76

:

5.

77

:

A call to live in obedience.

78

:

For those who have been saved by God's grace, the call is to live as sons and daughters of

obedience, walking in the light and rejecting the ways of darkness.

79

:

Ephesians 5 verses 8 and 9 encourage believers.

80

:

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the world.

81

:

Live as children of light, for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness,

righteousness, and truth.

82

:

Through the power of the Holy Spirit, believers are enabled to resist the temptations that

once ensnared them and to live lives that are pleasing to God.

83

:

In conclusion, there is a choice that is set before us.

84

:

The Bible makes it clear that while some people may walk as sons of disobedience, this is

not because they were created for disobedience.

85

:

God does not predestine anyone to sin but allows

86

:

each person to choose the path they will walk.

87

:

For those who choose rebellion, are consequences.

88

:

However, God's desire is always for them to repent and return to Him.

89

:

He has His arms wide open.

90

:

Through Christ, every person has the opportunity to leave behind the life of disobedience

and embrace the abundant life that God has prepared for them.

91

:

No matter how far you have strayed,

92

:

God's love for you remains unchanged and His arms are open wide calling you back to Him.

a new life.
