Shownotes
On this episode, Bishop talks about a saint who was elected Pope in 1963 and wrote 7 encyclicals including Humanae Vitae. Hear more about St. Paul VI this week including Bishop's memories of him.
Then it's on to this Sunday's Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. Bishop reflects upon this central mystery of our faith and then that day's Gospel reading from Matthew which includes Jesus's Great Commission to: "Make disciples of all nations, baptizing them int he name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."
The show wraps up with listener-submitted questions:
* Can you please comment on the bizarre gathering at the Vatican?
* It is often said that Mary didn't feel pain during childbirth because she was sinless and pain is a result of sin. But Jesus, who was also sinless, felt the pain of His crucifixion. Can you explain?
* Why do priests/bishops/cardinals retire on a regular basis but it's rare for popes to retire?
* Why do they bring both water and wine to the altar during Mass and not just wine?
* Do you ever wear vestments from the local parish or school? Or do you always bring your own?
