Homeschool moment of the week...

Things to consider when hiking:

  1. Heat and Sunburn - and hydration
  2. Cold - hiking in Florida can be cold during the winter months. Consider hand warmers, layers.
  3. Wear reflective clothing and orange during hunting season
  4. Bugs
  5. Alligators
  6. Hydration
  7. Don’t hike alone
  8. Poison Ivy, oak, sumac, poisonwood, stinging nettle. Stay on the trail
  9. Thunderstorms - flash and bang are less than 30 seconds, immediately take cover, not under a tree, go for a ditch.
