Hello, everyone, and welcome back to Casting Seeds.
Savannah:
I'm Savannah, your holistic health practitioner and host.
Savannah:
And you may have noticed that we didn't release at the same normal time and that I do sound a little stuffy or a little different.
Savannah:
Jeremiah and I were hit with the worst stomach flu and we did not have time to record.
Savannah:
And in fact, we totally were so down and out with fevers and feeling so awful for, I don't even know, almost a week now that we were just not doing okay.
Savannah:
But I do want to take this time, instead of having a full big episode, to ask you guys just to be praying for our brothers and sisters in India.
Savannah:
There are so many people right now that are being persecuted in India and there is an amazing, amazing group that.
Savannah:
Let me pull it up.
Savannah:
Actually, if you follow them on Instagram, it is global Christian relief.
Savannah:
And a lot of their relief actually is going to India right now and Syria just because of the persecution being so bad there.
Savannah:
And I just wanted to make it clear that over the holidays, yes, I think in America, it's very easy for to get whipped up about gifts and Christmas trees and, you know, a lot of social things and social, uncomfortable things like not being able to say Merry Christmas or, I don't know, just things that really don't risk our lives in any way, shape or form.
Savannah:
And I want you guys to challenge yourselves as when we're talking about holistic health and holyistic lifestyle and living, I want you to really truly think, what would you be willing to die for?
Savannah:
And I want that to settle.
Savannah:
Some of these people have risked their lives never seeing their families again, never ever going to be in a safe space in the homes and places and cities and even countries that they love because they have chosen Christ.
Savannah:
And if we think about the whole reason of the season that Christ came, to die, to be born as an innocent babe and die for our sins and what people over centuries have fought for, to share his word in truth and in love.
Savannah:
Not to change cultures, but to culturally, right, come together and be able to worship Christ.
Savannah:
It's amazing.
Savannah:
You don't have to change an entire culture in order for you to follow Jesus.
Savannah:
You don't have.
Savannah:
I mean, you can't worship deities or false gods anymore, but to follow the one true king, people are going to be offended to the point where they're willing to hurt, maim, and even murder you and your family.
Savannah:
And the true question is if that happened here and in America or wherever you are in the world, that may be cushiony and you know, easy.
Savannah:
Would you really be willing to risk your life and say, yeah, you can chop my head off because I'm never going to deny Christ.
Savannah:
Even Jeremiah and I being sick this week and feeling horrible, I couldn't imagine not having the home that I have and the access to medicine that I have and, and the clean water and food and grocery stores where a lot of these people, they get cut off from water, from towns.
Savannah:
They have people stop trading with them so that they won't have food.
Savannah:
There is a lot of persecution out there.
Savannah:
So not to be a donor, but I want people to understand during this time of Advent that this is a time to truly take a step back and just be so thankful for where you live, why you live there, and why God has called you to that community.
Savannah:
And are you truly changing that community with Jesus's love?
Savannah:
We love you guys.
Savannah:
Thank you for also praying for our health and we have so many surprises for you coming up.
